Day F79 and the momma gets the chop. Kind of a sad day, I really did enjoy growing this strain. The mother proved to be a beast at chop time, looks to be 5 oz+ of beautiful purps and crystals. Will grow this strain again and have sent some of the genetics across the country and across the border for other Growmies to enjoy.

Both pheno’s are doing incredibly well. Pheno #1 is almost ready and looks absolutely beautiful. Extremely frosty, with a beautiful dark purple-ish fade and chunky rock solid buds. She smells like sweet artificial cherry with cream and gas. Pheno #2 is taking a bit longer, but her bud structure is definitely worth the extra time. Rock solid nugs with insane frost levels, and the terps are very potent smelling like sweet red fruit yoghurt 🍒🍨⛽️

Harvest time!? Around 10 weeks and a bit into next week, and the entire journey from seed to chop will be complete. I grew this strain four times, and all four turned out completely different. The first one was huge with rock-hard buds, then there were two smaller plants that still produced a pretty solid combined yield, and now this last one isn’t very big either, but the buds are hard as a rock. You can even see in the photos how the branches are bending under the weight. Now all that’s left is to let them dry, then it’s finally time for the smoke test. The weak plant becomes very bad. I will see if there will be even a small yeald. The health plan has a beautiful purple color. I checked today the situation under a microscope and it seems to be in a good way. 30% milky, 70% transparent.

So far they are both not looking like winners :(, but I’ll keep them runting away for the contest sake. But I can honestly not understand what stunted them like this and caused this kind of mutation. The rock-wool was properly balanced, light was also dimmed, no sign of nutrient burn or deficiency….Very strange. The one that didn’t popped was replaced by an Afghan auto which so far is not showing any issues on the same feed.

The Apple Cup hermied this week along with the Baker's Dozen. Fortunately Tropicanna Poison is flowering so fast that it seems to be unbothered by the hermies next to it. The hermied plants will be stunted as more energy will be focused on developing pollen/seeds. Also I'll have to chop them down early before any seeds begin to solidify within the buds. It's ideal to immediately remove any hermies as soon as pollen sacs are spotted. Unfortunately I only have my small closet space so I decided to leave them and observe the growth of hermies.

Day 117 27/08/24 Tuesday Feed again today using de-chlorinated tap water pH 6. Day 119 29/08/24 Thursday De-chlorinated tap water pH 6 only today. I grew Tangerine Dream under HLG Rspec 240W for the whole grow except the last 2 weeks. I am very impressed by the size and density of the colas. Tangerine Dream has the biggest colas out of the 3 strain grown. The final space occupied by tangerine dream 2ftx2ft. Downside is long flowering time and heavy colas that needs support. This strain responds well to mainlining, needs lots of space and uneven height main branches will result in uneven canopy. The colas are not homogeneous. The yield was very satisfying and turned out more that I expected. Thanks for the support everybody 🙏🏽👍🏽 Keep growing

Hello present and future growmies! Welcome to the start of week 9 for Queen Citronella. First things first, please go and check week 8, I update daily and the week is now complete. Day 57: Her majesty is parched and so overgrown in her space that I've decided to give her a haircut. It will hopefully make her easier to move about too. I've fertigated 10l today and performed LST adjustments and significant defoliation. Made a little collage to show the training I did. Day 58: Tried to colour correct photos. Any good? Day 60: Disaster! SOMETHING has gone horribly wrong! The Queen is unwell and now I shall try to figure out why. It seems like heat stress but I don't get how. Alright I think it is heat stress but I am not sure how, the temp hasn't gone above 26 degrees to my knowledge. Two things have changed this week first my house has been about 3 degrees warmer, and second I switched the main tent to 20 hours. I wonder if the additional time and the extra heat in the house has caused it to get too high. I have opened a flap at the side of her tent, and I am going to drop the light in the main tent down to 19h. As well as this I am now leaving a window open when the lights are on. Hopefully I can stop it getting worse but it is all over the plant. :( Okay soI think I have caused nute tox/shock - specifically I think what happened was an accidental big overdose of CalMag raising the EC too high. These symptoms came on way too fast to be a simple deficiency or lock out, and the PH wasn't so far off as to cause these issues. I've treble checked and the temp hasn't exceeded 26 degrees, nor dropped below 17. I flushed her through with PH water today approx 40 litres - until runoff was clear and correct PH. I am not going to nute her for a day or two. Day 62: I have ordered the queen a new tent. 75 x 75 x 200. She's still asleep at the moment but I'll photo her later. She's really taken a hammering from, what I now believe is, nutrient toxicity. Day 62: Her majesty is looking much revived compared with the last few days. I THINK she will be ok. I've made a video assessing the damage. Ouch. Sorry your majesty, please not off with my head! Day 63: Alright I have a new tent for her majesty arriving next week and I've new airflow for the main tent. She seems to have recovered from the burn and is stretching again. End of week summary: First big mistake and first serious issues for Citronella. Sorry about that. However she has now recovered and is growing again. I cannot undo the damage but I think I have halted any further damage. Let's see what happens next week.
