Seed was put in a glass of water on the 2nd of January 20:00 (8PM). Around 15h later it sunk to the bottom and I transferred it to a wet paper towel inside a zip. Around 51h later (so ~36h inside zip) the seed had not yet opened. I am a little worried, but at the same time not because I've looked up what the pro's say and some of them don't even look at the seed until after the seed has spent at least 48h inside the paper towel. I will be patient and wait for the seed to open. After the seed has opened I will be even more patient and let the root grow for a bit. I have grown 2 of these plants in my lifetime and first time was really good, second time was very bad, and the second time I planted it when the root was ~1mm long. I will not rush things this time. I will also be careful to not let the root grow too long. If I'll have it my way, then I'll be planting this baby tomorrow evening, so in a bit less than 24h from now. If I have to reschedule then it will probably be planted on the 6th of January. Worst case scenario: We have to restart with a new seed. Bless you. Update 5 Jan 2022 17:29 (05:29 PM): We have a root! The seed has opened ever so slightly and the root has grown more and more during today. I want the root to grow a tiny bit longer before I plant it. I will take another look before bedtime. Update 5 Jan 2022 20:43 (08:43 PM): Root has not grown much since the last picture, will plant tomorrow. Update 6 Jan 2022 10:05 (10:05 AM): Will plant later. Root is too short. Update 6 Jan 2022 15:00 (03:00 PM): Root is still shorter than I had in mind but my patience has ran out and I think it is still a fine length for the seed to do really good. I also have very good soil for her with claimed great amount of nutrients for seedlings. When it gets large enough I will transplant her to a 11L pot. The 11L pot has been filled with more than 11L soil. Probably around 15L. By the way, the plant has a name, her name is "Satan" but is referred to as a "she". Update 12 Jan 2022 18:00 (06:00 PM): We have a sprout! I saw the sprout some hours ago. I am sure that I planted the seed quite perfectly in the middle. However, the sprout happened very much to the side. I suspect that there was something in the soil that might blocked the sprout. So far it looks like we planted Satan on the 6th of January and we got a sprout on the 12th. I will consider Satan to be in germination stage until it grows a little more. Then I will treat it like she's in the vegetative phase. ----------------------------- SUMMARY: Day 1-21 in Satans life has been so wonderful. Not a minute goes by without me feeling euphoric about her. Every day when I wake up I go to the grow-room and tell her good morning. I hold her largest leaf between my thumb and index-fingers to hold leaf (hold hand) and we just hold leaf together for a few seconds while I admire her beauty. She is so absolutely gorgeous and kind and she is also very happy with her environment. I already have another plant in another grow-room which also is a Northern Lights and I have kept a diary of her as well, just not on growdiaries.com (everything is kept in a Word-document). This other plant is called Kim, named after Kim Jong-Un. Kim and her diary is going to be utilized as a "roadmap" for Satan, so I should know what to expect and when to expect it. I also did a few mistakes with Kim, such as water too much or let her grow with way too much nitrogen in the air. Satan will instead be the best grow I have ever done - hopefully. Only one gelato remaining people. This one is really taking its time and the lack of orange pistils does have me really worried. All bottom vegetation is turning yellow and dying out and buds look like they still have a bit to go. I'm hoping its not a did.

Trichomes seem clear to me. Should probably go another week or two. Eager to harvest now. Is this plant foxtailing and is that bad? Hello everybody Welcome to the review week 😁 (Harvest pictures previous week) What can i say. Another very fun year doing this hobby. Grow number 5 since I'm here on growdiaries and ever year I improved because ofvall the knowledge here. Last year my NL'S started fantastic but it went horribly wrong during flowering. I was very motivated for this revenge round since NL is great strain and I knew where the mistakes were made in the previous grow. Made a well fed soil, added lots of RQS nutrients and made it extra airy by adding about 20 to 25 % extra perlite. Germination was made in a soil plug. Soaked the seed for 24h and then 12h in a moisted paper napkin . After the root came out a little bit i put her directly in the soil plug After 2 days she put her head out 🙏 Vegative phase was fun but she was stunted from the cold in the first weeks outside. With photoperiods that's not a problem but with autoflowers u end up with a small plant. Gave some neem oil spray too every week. No bugs have been seen on the plant. Fantastic product I did my first LST training and that was so fun to do. I fucked up here and there and should have spread the canopy more open but i give myself 6,5/10 for the first time 😁 Didn't break anything and she reacted well on my inexperienced hands. Will always do this from now on but with adjustments of course 😁 we grow to learn In flowering she did well but she stayed on the small side, wasn't very bushy and didn't completely filled up the space she had. But the plant was healthy and what she had did very well and delivered super nice buds. In the final 2 weeks she really bulked up a lot and gave me my first handsized buds ❤️🙏 I had Budrot because of high humidity in the morning and 2 small rains. It was extremely warm here during July and August but during the days we had 30° to 40° Celsius with low humidity and at night 15°Celsius with night and morning humidity of 80% to 100% 🤷‍♂️ 🙄 talk about a challenge Every plant will develop problems in such swinging climate conditions but the NL did pretty good. Lost about 20% of the plant unfortunately but that's life After 16 weeks she looked done for me. Chopped her and had to dry her in warm weather. The tent was around 23°Celsius, couldn't get it lower. After 5 days the smaller buds were on the verge of just a bit too wet but close to dry and i know it's better to put them in a little bit more wet instead of too dry because it's harder to add moisture than the other way around. Opened the jars 4 times daily the first week and it was okay. The handsized more wet buds were added after 7 days of drying and didn't have any problems. An overall very smooth grow untill the budrot problem. Will grow this one again since i have 10 seeds left of them 😁 (small note for RQS if they read this : mix up the free strains guys 😂 1 Royal Jack and 13 NL here) Thanks for the help and comments Another year were i learned a lot from everyone here 🙏 Happy growing 🙏

These buds turned out pretty good. Not a whole lot of bud but this was my first grow in the past 2 years. I’m very happy with each strain and how they turned out. The “OG” was definitely a lot more sativa than any of my other strains. Which I didn’t like because naming a strain OG is an indicator of strong indica dominance. But this strain was definitely more sativa. It was actually funny. My “sativa strain” finished earlier than my OG strain. But this is what I get for just getting seeds of the streets to grow. Which is why I’m very excited to be growing the tropic moon by ocean grown seeds. This strain is already doing great. I germinated 3 seeds and all 3 popped and are doing great. Week four was definitely the week when the plants started to really grow bigger, I started some LST at my way cause even if I check thousands of videos I end it up doing what I thought was better for my plants, I perhaps was a bit late so it wasn’t stretching as I thought it would have, maybe I shouldn’t have wait this long, but again first time learning a lots.. I let the plant grow with LST only in week 4 in week 5 I introduced a scrog I made myself cause I thought that I couldn’t keep doing lst because I started too late

The weather is really bad for her flowering stage. All these rains may push me to an esrly harvest. I will have to clear up the land and setup a greenhouse with solar-powered fans for the humidity.

July 13: perfect cannabis weather after last week’s heat wave. Another heat wave next week, but for now it’s perfect. Added a third scrog layer and tied it off to some water bottles. This type of scrogging works, is easy, cheap, and it’s easy to still move the plant around the yard as needed. July 14: re-did the scrog net using a larger piece with more squares. Supercropped some ends to keep the growth tips at the same elevation. We’ll see how many colas I can make of this. July 16: looks happy enough but I need to up the water volume in this heat. July 18: really hot the last few days (33 C) so lots of watering and misting to keep them a bit cooler. Look really green and robust. 👍👍 Also wetting outside of grow bags to get some evaporative cooling for the soil. Added malted barley and Power Bloom to some soil and added it as a soil layer. Added plain soil on the top to deter birds from stealing the barley kernels. A bit less than 1 tbsp of Power Bloom per 1 gallon of soil with a bit more than 1 tbsp of malted barley per gallon of soil. #seedsman420growoff #seedsmanseeds

Waiting on buds to start swelling. Have a few rust spots on a couple of leaves. Nothing too major, may need to recalibrate my PH pen before next feeding. Starting to get a little more pungent of a smell. Sweet and earthy in the whole tent so far.
