ALRIGHT! I think i had a successful first week of the first grow :D The bitches are showing steady growth, started giving m a mix of Terra Grow, Pure Zyme & Power Roots. they seem to like it but hey what do i know? Don't know why the other half of my lights is taking so long to get here but we'll survive. temperature is still a little on the high side during the day, around 29 degrees, i will be installing 2 fans tonight which should fix that problem. (bought some fancy ass controller to automatically adjust the fan speed when temperatures rise, hope it works as good as it souds) This week will also be moving week, filled 6.5L 20x20cm pots with those brown balls and Plagron Grow Mix. started watering them in with a mix of Rain & Tapwater + Pure Roots & Power Zym. WHY?? again idk, there are so many tips online i'll just follow all of m. Doing the same again tomorrow morning and transplant them 2 hours before the lights go on. *day 12 edit. Moved the plants into the new pots, within 12 hours i could see them grow again so that must mean they like it, the rest of my lights arrived so we're growing under 10x 23w philips tornado CFL now because they are cheap as fuck and it works amazing. the whole temperature activated fan cooling system is out for now since the temperature is at a stable 26 degrees, and i didnt know that fans make so much noise turning off and on the whole time damnnnnn Let me know what i'm doing wrong & happy growing 😘

Flowering day 2: For a new strain i am so impressed with her growth. She has performed great to this stage. Her flowers are forming amazingly quickly and she is taking the quadlining very seriously. All her shoots are looking able.to bear good sized buds and her secondary ones are fighting to get to the canopy top. This early on and needing a clearout of the small pointless growth , i feel she will be a great yielder of some dense nugs. Have green days folks.

So here are a bunch of photos/vids of the first 4 weeks of flowering. This girl really took off and has filled out the 4’x4’ net on top of her nicely, and my 1000w hortilux eye HPS bulb is really kicking ass! Got her in the same tent/RDWC system as 1 other Cement Shoes and so far she’s loving it. Got a massive root system backing the 5 gal bucket and spread out beautifully. They are really drinking up the water now too, putting 2 gallons in everyday. Another 4-6 weeks to go! Cheers 💨

Halfway through week 3. Both the girls have been transplanted to their final 5 gallon smart pot home. Soil medium is no longer a Light Warrior/Ocean Forest blend; it’s just Ocean Forest now. I don’t think that soil will be too hot at this point. Both plants are on their 4th node, I want to top at the 6th node so hopefully next week. Plant 2 has far more internode spacing even though both plants the same distance from the light. Plant 1 is developing 4 leaves so the fan isn’t symmetrical. Otherwise healthy. Leaves were droopier than usual today which might be transplant shock or I might have overwatered their new homes. Will add more to this week at the end. Love feedback!

fresh water 580ppm ph 6.2 i decided to go a bit lower in ppm as this is an autoflower stretch starts, there isnt much time left before flower maybe 1 week. i started counting “day 1” as when the seed popped open thats why it looks like this plant is 1 week behind day 40: little defoliation

Weeks has been good. its really week 5.5 half way though but wanted to do the update today. The one THCv plant is having some issues flipping back to veg after the mix up. Its really getting weird AF. and I think next week is when I will be flipping them to bloom so IDK how that one is going to react. I have more seeds of that one so if it fails its ok I can grow it again. the CBG's are the strongest in the tent. Added their first feeding of the Acadie fertilizer, low amount. 5ml/1gal its recommended rate is 30ml per 1L seems crazy high but that's what the label suggests. Herbs also doing well, gave them a feeding too and last week I added in some Nematodes as I saw a gnat, but have not seen any other ones since applying. so that's a bonus. Again a bit to much N in the mix, I did not think I added that much but guess I did. Looks ok on all the other nutrients. Also a nice little shoutout to IZI, they sent over a strain to try with some cool stickers and a leaflet of all their strains. One more week of veg then flipping the lights to 12/12. I've been so busy with work and the outside garden that I haven't had much time to maintain these plants but they are doing very well considering. I've topped all plants and pulled branches down to spread canopy. A lot of defoliation has been needed along the way and I've done some lst and hst also. Once I flip the lights they should fill the tent up nicely. Being conservative with the nutrients. I will bump up a little bit once they are in flower.

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. 1st week of 12/12 light going beautifully. They are doing really well. Although I still experienced root issues. I think this spot is cursed :P
