Vorwort: Die Bilder dieser Woche sind leider nichts Besonderes geworden. Hab vergessen während des Gießens vergessen zu knipsen, und die Aufnahmen danach sind sehr schwach. Trotzdem dokumentiere ich sie, was wichtig ist. 🌿 Tag 29-35 - Lichtflut, Höhenflüge und erste süße Düfte Ich, Banana Purple Punch, bin diese Woche förmlich explodiert. Jeden Morgen war ich ein Stück höher, als hätte mich über Nacht jemand heimlich auseinandergezogen. Das Licht bei 100 Prozent hat mich wachgeküsst und irgendwie konnte ich dann nicht mehr aufhören. Meine Triebe arbeiten hart, meine Energien schießen überall hin. Ich weiß, der Gärtner schaut schon kritisch nach oben. Vielleicht beruhige ich mich bald. Vielleicht auch erst später. 🍌 Ich, Purple Haze, strecke mich nur so weit, wie es Sinn ergibt. Nicht zu viel, nicht zu wenig. Meine Höhe passt, meine Breite trägt mich gut. Keine Rennen, keine Dramen, nur ein ruhiger Übergang. Die Energie fühlt sich stabil an, ausgeglichen. Genau mein Ding. Wir beiden Lemon Cherry Cookies erleben gerade zwei völlig verschiedene Wochen. Ich, die Schnellere, fühle mich wie auf einem Marathonstartpunkt. Die Blüten schieben kräftig, weiß und deutlich. Mein Inneres summt, als hätte ich endlich begriffen, wohin die Reise geht. Licht, Wasser und Raum greifen perfekt ineinander. Und ich, die Gemütlichere, nehme das alles Schritt für Schritt. Warum rennen, wenn man auch sauber arbeiten kann? Meine Spitzen zeigen Blüte, aber ganz kontrolliert. Ich schaue mir alles erst einmal an und wähle meinen eigenen Rhythmus. 🍋🍒 Tag 34: Die ersten Düfte werden spürbar, zart und frisch. Tag 35: 4 Liter Wasser. Der Boden dankt es, wir auch. Die Woche war hell, laut und voller Bewegung. Jede von uns reagiert anders, jede setzt ihren eigenen Akzent. Die Blüte hat angefangen zu sprechen, noch leise, aber unverkennbar.

🍃 Purple Haze Photo A — Week 4 | Preparing for Gravity-Fed Growth Every grow has one plant that quietly starts telling you a story before flowering even begins. Purple Haze A is becoming exactly that. Growing under the same Future of Grow LED, receiving the same PPFD, sharing the exact nutrient recipe, environmental conditions and care as every other plant inside the tent, she has decided to express herself in a completely different way. Instead of remaining compact, she has embraced her sativa heritage and is already showing the elegant structure Purple Haze is famous for. Longer internodes. Large healthy fan leaves. Fast vertical growth. Strong side branching. Exactly the characteristics we hoped to see. This diary is part of my ongoing 12/12 From Seed Challenge, documenting every step exactly as it happens. No shortcuts, no hidden techniques—just honest observations from a home grower enjoying the journey one day at a time. ⸻ 🌱 Week 4 Development This week was all about preparing for the next big milestone. Purple Haze continued building an exceptionally strong root system while producing vigorous new shoots across every node. The leaves are deep green, beautifully flat and reaching toward the light, showing excellent nutrient uptake and a very healthy metabolism. Stem thickness has increased noticeably, giving plenty of confidence that she’ll easily support future flower production. The spacing between branches also makes her an excellent candidate for training later, allowing light to penetrate naturally through the canopy. Sometimes you can already tell a plant has personality long before flowers appear. This one certainly does. ⸻ 🚿 Time for AutoPot This week also marks another exciting step. Purple Haze A will soon become one of the plants running on my AutoPot system. Since every plant in this project receives identical lighting, nutrients and environmental conditions, this creates a great opportunity to observe one important variable: Top watering versus gravity-fed irrigation. Rather than trying to prove one method is universally better, I simply enjoy comparing different growing styles under the same conditions and documenting the results honestly. That is one of the things I love most about this hobby. Every grow teaches something new. ⸻ 💧 What is an AutoPot? For anyone discovering these diaries for the first time, AutoPots are a completely passive irrigation system. There are: ❌ No pumps ❌ No electricity ❌ No timers Instead, everything works using gravity. A nutrient reservoir sits slightly higher than the pots, allowing the solution to flow naturally through the tubing. Inside each tray sits the heart of the system: The AquaValve The AquaValve is an ingenious little mechanical valve. When the tray becomes empty, the valve opens and allows fresh nutrient solution to flow in. Once the tray reaches the correct water level, the valve automatically closes. The plant then drinks exactly what it wants. Only after the tray is empty again does the cycle repeat. Because the substrate experiences a natural wet-dry rhythm while always having nutrients available when needed, roots tend to develop extremely well. Healthy roots often translate into healthier plants. At least, that has been my experience. ⸻ 🌿 Why I Enjoy Growing with AutoPots Every grower eventually finds methods that simply fit their style. For me, AutoPots offer several advantages: • Consistent moisture around the root zone • Reduced daily watering workload • Excellent oxygen availability inside the substrate • Stable nutrient delivery • Very vigorous vegetative growth Perhaps most importantly… They let me spend more time observing the plants instead of carrying watering cans every day. And honestly, watching the AquaValve quietly doing its job never gets old. ⸻ 📊 Week 4 Environment • Week 4 — Vegetation • Height: 25 cm • EC: 1.35 • pH: 6.1 • Temperature: 33°C Day / 25°C Night • RH: 63% • CO₂: 639 ppm • Light Schedule: 12/12 • Water consumption: approximately 1.1 L per plant every 24 hours ⸻ 🌿 Feeding Schedule This week the nutrition remained simple and balanced using the Plagron Terra line. • Terra Grow – 1.8 ml/L • Power Roots – 1 ml/L • Pure Zym – 1 ml/L • Sugar Royal – 1 ml/L • pH Plus – 0.03 ml/L • Lemon Kick – 0.03 ml/L The plant responded beautifully with rich green foliage, vigorous growth and absolutely no signs of nutrient stress. Exactly the kind of consistency every grower hopes for. ⸻ 💚 Final Thoughts Week 4 feels like the beginning of something special for Purple Haze A. She has developed into a vigorous, healthy young plant with beautiful structure, outstanding leaf health and plenty of energy heading toward the flowering stretch. Now the AutoPot system enters the picture, adding another interesting chapter to this diary. Whether gravity feeding produces bigger plants or simply makes life easier, we’ll discover together over the coming weeks. That’s the beauty of documenting everything honestly. 12/25/2023-Germination Day 1 Merry X-mas 2023 I decided to start a run of SolFIre Gardens Hoodz Candyz S1. I am going to do a cup filled with RO water a touch of Hydrogen peroxide and let it sit for 24-48 hours until I see tap root then I am going to put it into a rapid rooter.. Tap root Down and put it about 1/4 of the say down the Rapid rooter. I made some modifications to my basket on this run.. I have taken a few Pods that I use for my cloning machine and decided that I am going to try and use them as sure plants, so that I can take my water right up to the bottom of the basket this time and see if these can make my planting more consistent.   12/26/2023-Germination Day 2 Tap root achieved Planting Commencing 12/27/2023-Germination Day 3 Misted the dome lightly misted the rapid rooter and added a little water to the bottom of the pan to encourage root growth to the pan. 12/28/2023-Germination Day 4 Ground Hogs day 12/29/2023- Germination Day 5 She is up, she has broken surface, I misted the root riot, and around the bottom of the tray to try and entice root growth down rapidly. 12/31/2023- Germination Day 6 Ground Hogs Day 1/1/2024-Germination Day 7 HAPPY NEW YEARS!!.. I did it I planned it out so my planting day would fall on New Years and it worked.. Yay!!! 1/2/2024- Germination Day 8 Since the roots are not to the water yet, I am pouring one cup of water lightly on the hydroton around the lady to try and encourage root growth down to the water.. 1/3/2024- Germination Day 9 Ground Hogs day, will continue until roots hit the water. 1/4/2024- Germination Day 10 Ground Hogs day, will continue until roots hit the water. I will just continue to top feed until roots are in the water.. Shouldn't be more than a few more days. 1/5/2024- Germination Day 11 Ground Hogs day, will continue until roots hit the water. I am going to change the water Sunday and kick off Week 1, I will just continue to top feed until roots are in the water.. Flushing ladies as trichomes become cloudy and amber. I am ready for harvest in the next two weeks.

Refilled the Botaniums today, 7 days after the previous fill, as I saw they were completely empty. One of the plants is starting to show a tiny bit of weird coloring on some leaves and the texture of the leaves is also a bit strange. The other plant looks completely healthy.

Week 13 from seed — or as we like to call it here, around Week 9 flower on this 12/12 from seed run — and the Frozen North is fully living up to its name. Outside may be rain, but inside the tent it feels like a snowstorm made of resin. Animal Mints is absolutely covered, from the tops to the sugar leaves, and every day the flowers seem to gain a new layer of frost. This week is a very calm but very important phase. We are not “pushing” plants anymore. No heavy feeding, no forcing, no chasing numbers. Just water with Pure Zym, observation, patience, and allowing the plants to naturally finish their cycle. Last week we transitioned into this enzyme-and-water-only approach, and honestly, the reaction has been beautiful. The plants are still drinking, still swelling, still stacking weight, while the fade slowly begins to paint the leaves with those late-flower colors we love to see. And this is exactly why these plants look different from many traditional grows. From the beginning, this run followed a simple philosophy: let the plants work efficiently instead of endlessly forcing growth. 12/12 from seed creates a very unique structure and rhythm. The plants stay more focused, more direct, and instead of wasting time building oversized vegetative structures, they channel energy into dense flower production early. The result is a room full of productive spears, compact stacking, incredible resin coverage, and surprisingly efficient use of space and light. Morphologically, they really tell the story of the run. Tall but controlled structure, clean vertical development, excellent penetration, and flowers forming all across the plant instead of only at the top canopy. The under-canopy lighting deserves special mention this week because the lower and middle sections are performing way above expectations. Despite a few small LED burns on buds that grew a little too ambitious and got too close to the light, the overall effect has been amazing. Lower flowers are dense, frosty, and actually worth keeping instead of becoming forgotten popcorn. That alone says a lot. This stage now becomes almost meditative. Every day is inspection day. Checking flowers carefully for bud rot, airflow issues, hidden moisture pockets, stress signs, or anything unusual. Thankfully, everything is looking healthy and stable. Buds are getting harder, heavier, and more resinous by the day. Some pistils are already turning orange and brown, calyxes are swelling beautifully, and trichomes are slowly starting their transition. Right now we still see a lot of clear heads, with only a few amber trichomes appearing here and there. The goal remains the same: waiting for that beautiful mostly-cloudy window before making the final harvest decision. And honestly, this is where patience matters most. At this point, harvest timing is no longer measured in weeks on paper, but in daily plant evolution. Maybe next week becomes harvest week. Maybe the one after. The plants will decide. For now, they are still packing weight, still evolving, still teaching. Environmentally, temperatures may not follow the “perfect textbook grow chart,” but the plants clearly did not read the textbook either. They are happy, praying, resin-heavy, and productive. Sometimes the best approach is simply reading the room instead of forcing strict VPD perfection. Stable plants matter more than perfect charts. The macros this week also tell an incredible story. Frost coverage is reaching extreme levels, trichome stalks standing tall, resin heads clustering together like tiny crystal forests. Some of the close-up shots almost stop looking like flowers and start looking like another world entirely. This is one of those weeks where photography becomes part of the grow itself. Bringing plants into the studio, documenting the late-flower transformation, capturing the fade, the resin, the imperfections, the beauty — all of that becomes part of preserving the journey. My Skunk Apple plant's a little behind the others. I think it started flowering a couple weeks later. It's a smaller plant, but it's finally starting to fill out. I'm guessing I've got maybe two weeks left before it's ready to chop. The past week has been awesome for drying my plants. The weather's been perfect – nice and dry, with just enough breeze to keep things moving. I finally got around to chopping down those two big plants I've been meaning to trim. They're almost ready, just need a little more time to dry out completely. I can't wait to see how they turned out.

11/11/19 - All is good in the hood. I love comming back from a couple of days away to see how they look. I did dome defoliation last nigh. Took off some lower branches and leaves. Mostly spindly branches. They are loving the feedings. 11/12/19 - I figured out something tonight with my lighting. I think I have it too low since the plants that right under the light are getting a little bleached and are a lighter green then the plants that are not directly under the light. So I moved it up as far as it could go w/o modification. Let's see what happens. 11/13/19 - From the responses to my question that I received from the pros today, I moved the light back down to 24". 11/14/19 - Did a BUNCH of defoliation tonight. With the SOG it was hard to get under everything. I opened the tent all the way and crawled inside to see so many little stragglers. I hope they do not get shocked too much. I also posted a new vid tonight. I need to do some better lighting next time I will try my headlamp. 😀
