Hi all the happy people here in GrowDiaries. This is my second cultivation ever and it will be fun to try a bigger space than my closet grow. First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom. I put some pictures on the construction here in week one. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of ​​3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable theme in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. The air is purified through a carbon filter to then leave the room to the rest of the basement. Then I use that heat to heat the rest of the basement. I will use 8 pcs 15 liter Autopots to grow with and a 100 liter water tank that supplies the pots of water and nutrition. I have never tested PH in my grows, when growing organic in soil iv learned that it adapt PH by it self. But im curious by nature so i had to test. This plant is on the move just like last time. She looks impeccable and her canopy is about to become a super dense photosynthesis machine for her future buds. The tiniest signs of pre-flower starting so I gave both the Blackberry and LSD a tad of Tiger Bloom to ease them into pre-flower. My goal is to get night temps close to 65 to increase the potentiality of purples. I hope she keeps on doing her thang. She's a sexy beast. I tied her down on 9/14 when she hit 16 inches.

A little topping on 3 if the girls. Some low LST on a few. Pinning leaves for maximum light. The 3 I topped are coming along also. Sometimes my head starts playing with me, doubting my efforts. Only light feeding. Super light right now. Nothing on schedule. Just like to adjust according to nature so I dont disturb the peace and make things harder.. i like to go with the flow and not make issues.. only fed once this week and once last week with nutrients.

Week 9

Day 1. No signs of flower yet but good growth and the girl scout is finally growing well. Day 2. FLOWERING :D Checked on the girls early evening to find they are now drinking 1lt per day and had amazing growth overnight. As I was doing some more training I noticed my first pistils. I will raise the lights tomorrow by about 40% to encourage the flower stretch Day 3. Raised the lights to encourage growth. Day 4. No access missed feeding 😭 Day 5. Plants look sad due to missing a feed also noticed discolouration on 1 leaf Day 6. Plants have bounced back and looking good. the discolouration has spread from one leaf to a few so almost certain its a mag deficiency. Day 7. Very happy today good stretch. Flushed the plant with the mag deficiency to make sure it's not locked and the CalMag arrives tomorrow

Unfortunately ive managed to overwater my young plants when experimenting with a new substrate. They looked really droopy with grey edges and yellowing already, so i decided to restart this post for a second try germinating directly into my living soil, like im used to do it. 📆 [23rd of August] Ive put the 2 remaining seeds directly into my homemade living soil. Exactly 72 hours later, on the 26th, one has popped up and showed their germination leafs. I am planning to repot the plants into their "real" home after about 14 days of vegetation. That is gonna consist of 2 substrate levels in a 40l container. The bottom 2/3 is going to be a mix of peat, pumice, sand & vermiculite, the top third is gonna be a layer of my homemade living soil, which is made of 1/3 peat, 1/3 compost and 1/3 pumice 4-12mm & Spelt Husk 50%/50% (measured by volume) amended with kelp meal, sproutet bean meal, basalt rock dust, microbial mushroom biomass (chitin), oyster grit, gypsum, charcoal, bentonite and tiny amounts of bone meal & horn meal. It is my first time growing in a (partly) nutrient poor substrate. I want to do some kind of Experiment this time, as i have not seen many growers use "hydroponic" /nutrient poor substrate paired with the "living soil" approach & organic feeding. I'm trying to boost the growth by providing plenty of oxygen and water like hydroponics does, without needing to use those mineral salt based fertilizers or frequently having to discard "old" substrate. In my mind this idea would work similar to an "Autopot" system, where you prodive water and oxygen mainly in the bottom with some small amounts of nutrients, but feed mainly from the top by amending. Ive seen this in the "Build a soil" youtube channel. I've set their homes up already a couple weeks ago and moistened it to let it cook together, so the living organisms could colonize the bottom subtrate before transplanting. (Edit: Change of plans, those "homes" are gonna go to my Red Hot Cookies instead, ive just transplanted her right into an 8l pot to become a mother. Its made the same way, without the cooking together in prior part.) The plants are going to be fed purely organic/natural material by top dressing with different amendments like fish hydrolysate, basalt, kelp, gypsum, guano and this "living soil - grow" fertilizer i've showed in the pictures. Furthermore i am going to be using homemade nutrient ferments on cannabis for the first time. Ive already tested those on roses, tomatoes and some houseplants. (made from fish, insect, kelp, aloe vera, guano, kitchen scraps, plants etc). My goal is to additionally boost the plant growth by watering these quickly available nutrients. It should contain all the essential minerals plants need, as well as phytohormones, amino acids, vitamins, humic and fulvic acid, beneficial bacteria and fungi. Stay hyped with me! [Edit Week 4] I am not as happy with the results as ive expected it. The plants are looking pretty fine and growing nicely, but i dont see any benefit compared to pure living soil yet. It almost seems like the plant is growing a little bit slower than usual and just needs to be fed more with this method, i dont see any "hydro like" boost happening... Maybe i needed to fertigate her more often and topdress more, i didnt want to try out too much though as i want to keep this plant as a mother. I dont have much time to do experiments with clones, so im probably just going to go for it as planned and hope that they will like the system in the big 40l pots. Probably going to amend the soil heavier then by topdressing more and fertilize with every watering later in veg - until mid/late flower.

10/17/2022 start of week 3. Plants still look healthy. Been LST the Strawberry Gushers and Newberry for a few days and some of the lower branches are catching up. Trying to keep the canopy as uniform as possible. The Strawberry Gushers appears to be in preflower already, which is a bit concerning. Was hoping to get at least another week out of her. Orange Bubblegum is still the smallest of the three, but she continues to grow at a steady pace. I think someone pulled a fast one on me with my cover crop. I have what looks like blades of grass growing, with only a few small clovers showing up so far. Guess that is what I get for shopping on Amazon. Also, increased my DLI to 500. Not much more to report at this time. On 10/19/2022 I watered 1 liter per pot with the Rootwise and ThermX again. This amount every 2 to 3 days seems to be sufficient for their current size. The pots are wet on the bottom, but no run off. Also, removed just a few of the lowest leaves and fan leaves blocking the lower branches. The LST is allowing the lower branches to catch up. 10/21/2022 watered both the Strawberry Gushers and Newberry with about 1.5 liters each. They are both really growing fast now. The Orange Bubblegum is beginning to speed up, it's just seems like a shorter plant with shorter node spacing. I just misted the surface of the Newberry since the pot was heavier than the other two. Still doing some minor LST on the main trunk and some selective deformation and leaf tucking of leaves blocking bud sites. 10/23/2022 was a big day for the Strawberry Gushers. Top dressed with Gnarly Barley, BuildASoil Craft Blend, and BuildASoil BuildFlower, then watered 2 liters. Plant is starting to stretch so I wanted to make sure she has access to the nutrients she needs. The Newberry and Orange Bubblegum just got 1 liter like usual. Plan to top dress them as well once they get a little bigger. Avg. VPD: .8 PPFD: 500 DLI: 32

She’s just absolutely brilliant. She’s grown some really lovely, plump buds and smells incredibly strong. One little oddity: she’s got almost exclusively three-fingered leaves. Recht gleichmäßig vom Strech (Mitte bekommt bei meiner Lampe einfach etwas mehr ab😉) aber sonst richtig schön, auch was die Internodienabstände betrifft 👍 Heute gab es wieder jeweils 20ml Green Bull mit ins Tray. Ansonsten werd ich die Woche noch warten und dan ggf. mal etwas auslichten. Tag13 Blüte Ich habe heute doch schon ausgelichtet und unten alles rausgenommen was nicht ans Licht kam.
