SONG OF THE WEEK : Isaiah Rashad - 4r Da Squaw ------- Day 32 - That week is a bit hard to manage as the weather is clearly against me, after the hard sun it is time for the heavy rain to shows up 😧. But it's outdoor rules. But the ladies are doing good : -SSW#3 were topped + suppercroped thanks to Tazard & Lumberjack advices I think she's doing right ( many thanks guys 😍). She's 20 cm tall now -SSW#1 Will not be topped , I'm just doing a light LST on her by bending each secondary stems with my fingers everyday and you can see a "good" result on the pictures. She's 34 cm tall -SSW#2 is late on the secondary stems but tall , I still don't know if I'm gonna train her. She's the tallest with 39cm

I started to look at the trichomes but most of them are still clear. At the end of the week, I reduced the nutrients and I will probably begin the flush next week.

So just cruising now, last week saw alot of leg work in the defoliation dept, tidying all lower branches, keeping fan leaves to a minimum, and then aiding the scrog by tucking, pulling, anything to keep things moving in the right direction. The challenge now, as stated earlier is to bring all plants ready to flip at the same time, which is a challenge lol, but an enjoyable one. The bench mark here is the scrog, once that's ready everything else can be flipped, the trick is keeping everything else in there low. Atm 6 plants are hooked up to the Res,with another 2 to follow. Currently drinking about 40 liters every 2 to 3 days. It's amazing how much they can drink... Another tucking session, the nets almost filled now, so I'll probably Monday, depending on how it's looking. I replaced the vipra with another maxbloom and moved the vipra into my smaller tent for the Royal Gorilla grow. So far all is going well with no hiccups health wise.

The smell is getting stronger and the buds and trichomes are swelling, I’m planning on starting flushing at the end of the week. The smell is strong mixed berry and when you lean in a bit closer it has a bit of a chemy smell

a few days ago the soil probably had a pH value that was too low.. this was shown by the fact that the plants showed a Calcium-defiency. I solved this problem by pouring hard tap water with a pH value of around 7 once. Now everything looks very promising. although we are already through with the third week of flowering, my biggest one has grown from 41 to 48 cm the photos were taken before watering.

The monster goes haywire and what drives us crazy because it is beautiful. The flush is a fundamental mmento always look at the color of the water that comes out if it is black the child must flush again.

Week 11 I though she was gonna be done this week only gave her RO water for the last 2 weeks but looking through the loop her trichomes are still mostly clear so I think I'll give her one more week. She looking great, smelling great, buds look amazing. Tried to get some good video so you can see how lovely she is!!

I preferred to remove my net this week, to more easily access my plants and water them. I hope the branches will hold I cut a lot of leaf this week. I hear different opinions that say it's beneficial others not... At least it will have the advantage of lowering the humidity. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Water: tap water at 300 PPM, I add 0.7G of Hybrid powder and 0.3g of booster PK+ per liter to reach 950PPM and I adjust the PH to 5.8. I watered daily until water drained from the pot (to release nutrients from previous waterings) and I take a 3-4 day watering break to let it dry out before resuming a daily watering schedule. -Daytime temperature: 22-26°C -Night temperature: 20-24°C -Humidity: 50-75% ( Too high but it's hard to lower it... This week went well for the Durban Nights. Not much to report, she hit day 14 today and is working on her 3rd node, I will transplant her in 48 hours, then hopefully top her in about a week or less. I will wait for her to grow at least 7 nodes so I am sure her roots are solid before the topping, but she will absolutely explode after transplanted into coco coir so that shouldnt be a problem. I will also complete the first two sets of toppings at the 3rd node, so that should shave a little time off as well as I previously completed the 2nd and 3rd toppings at the 5th and 3rd node to further spread out the plant. Super excited for this strain as it is a cross of Durban Thai and Jack Herer which are two of my favorite Sative Strains. I hope everyone has a safe weekend. I had a late lockout not by watering too often but too much at once trying to get back to back ppm runoff readings and it was 4 days twice of the roots looking for oxygen. I know I can do better with it because I love the strain I’m going to take it to the hydro setup. Those first 4 weeks are super critical to make the last 8 count. Over all it was fun and Dinafem never lets me down with great genetics and customer service! If you’ve grown or are growing it share your data to help make mine better if you have a minute. It was finally time to harvest her, what good times we had with her. Amazed with how beautiful this plant is, how easy to manage and train and how rewarding Orange Hill Special is. So we said our thanks and goodbye, thanked her for all the joy she gave while growing her. I realize more and more how I love growing them even more than the end-product. It takes my mind of all going on for a while, in my miniature jungle world in the attic. Im sure all of you just sometimes sit there and watch them, in wonder, dreaming away with a good buzz on, watching them wave in the wind of the fans. So with a heavy hart I apologize, play them their last music, sit with them and feel them and smell them, watch the glistening of the cristals. In the end we had 209 gram dried Orange Hill Special, I will know the total of the grow, in a few days, since the final big whopper still has to dry: my XtraKush, be sure to check the harvest of that one *in couple of days) and see a one-dollar seed outperform two 10 dollar seeds.
