Hola y bienvenidos al diario de AKU. He cumplido ocho semanas de vida, a pesar del bruto de mi jefe y su corte apical, he crecido 6 cm y cada día soy más fuerte... I loved!! 😊

Hoy hace seis días de la agresión humana que sufrí en mi ápice principal, aun estoy cabreada, aunque parece que ahora voy a tener dos ápices principales y mis ramas y tallo se están haciendo más fuertes. He disfrutado de unos días tranquilos en mi armario y ventana disfrutando de la compañía de mi prima Sweet Amnesia Haze y las otras dos plántulas, hay muy buena temperatura.
A mi prima la han trasplantado a principios de semana, está muy contenta, ella tiene ahora una maceta cuadrada de bonito color, pero me gusta más la mía!! 😁
Todavía no consumo mucha agua porque soy pequeña, pero cada día más, mis hojas se están haciendo muy grandes para captar mucha energía lumínica, mi jefe dice, que si sigo así seré una reina!!... I loved!!😍
Esta semana me han regado con agua cargada de oxígeno y llena de mis amigos lo microorganismos con un poco de melaza para que estos tengan energía y trabajen mucho. Con este tipo de riegos siento unas cosquillas fantásticas en mis raíces!! 😵

Hoy he amanecido sabiendo que ha sido mi último día de crecimiento vegetativo, me van a cambiar de armario, con luces más veraniegas, desde que supe esta noticia he estado algo triste por dejar a mi prima Sweet Amnesia Haze, a Psicodelicia y sus manías y la elegante Jack 47, hemos pasado buenos ratos juntas, hablando de nuestros antepasados y orígenes, al final todas somos parientes más o menos lejanos.
Esta tarde mis amigas me han preparado una fiesta de despedida!!... mis emociones se han descontrolado!! 😍 Han traído un espectáculo flamenco sólo para mi, lo hemos pasado de cine!!, he bailado, he cantado y bebido, pues mi jefe me ha preparado un riego muy especial, dulce como a mi me gusta y con mucho microorganismos!! Me han regalado un pañuelo muy bonito, despues del show me he hecho unas fotos con las artistas, son gitanos por lo que dicen y como mis antepasados Kush, sus orígenes también están por Asia.
Mi prima me ha regalado una foto dedicada de su familia adoptiva, una clan de larga tradición en cultivos de marihuana y otra con una cita de una cantante... las echaré de menos, espero que más adelante coincidamos en algún otro armario. Besos!!
Todos se han esforzado en que me lo pasara bien, hasta mi jefe... bueno, le voy a perdonar por el maltrato vegetal de la semana pasada, porque tenía razón cuando me dijo... lo que no te mata, te hará más fuerte!!
Ahora me he dado una ducha y me voy a nuevo armario, satisfecha y feliz, pero cansada de tantas emociones... buenas noches y hasta la próxima semana.

i dont think im getting a big yield but at least i nailed the nutrients and the plant didnt show any deficiencies (yet)

These grew really well stacked weight evenly, and flushed like a champ. Throw back to the first indoor scrog.

On day 1 the reservoirs PH is steady at 6.2. The rez ppm is 271.
On day 2 I turned off the irrigation to deprive the plants of water for 2 days until harvest. I set up my dry tent with a humidifier set up with a humidity controller set to 60% and temps 67-70F.I harvested one branch to dry and test parameters. I will be harvesting in 2 days.
On day 3 I'm excited about harvesting tomorrow! I think this strain probably is going to be at peak at day 56-60 but I don't have time to wait that long as my next run coming up after harvest needs to be finished before I go on a vacation in spring and harvesting early gives me just enough time to flower 7-9 weeks with a dry before leaving to go on vacation. The total flowering time for this run will be 53 days. The top colas have mostly gone milky with some amber mixed in and the lowers aren't all completely cloudy yet but probably 75% milky 25% clear. I enjoy a little earlier harvest anyways because I can get my Indica to give me a little boost of energy!

I made 4 gallons, used 3 to water then poured the runoff back into the rest in the bucket. The next feeding, I added a gallon of tap water to residual and ph to 6,31 temp 69 & PPm 1120. Did the same on 5/14 and 15 using up the remainder of the feed solution.
I must monitor and control the tent environment manually. For the past month, the humidifier has been an issue putting out way too much humidity; often leaving water in the bottom of the tent. In addition, the temperatures are also out of control. I added an AC last week to keep the temperature below 80. I finally determined the exhaust vent is also broken and has been for some time.
I have been giving good reviews on the AC infinity system. However, during the time I’ve owned this tent (2 yrs), I had to replace the lights twice, fans, humidifier and now the vent twice also. Everything but the tent containment has been replaced. AC infinity does stand by their products, but they are in California, and it takes at least 2 weeks to receive the replacement. This is extremely frustrating at the critical transition to flower for my equipment to fail again. For the time being until a replacement arrives, I pulled the 4” exhaust vent from my 3x3 and hooked it up. I have the AC pushing air in and the exhaust pulling air out. This should create a neutral pressure tent environment-neither positive nor negative. I do have 3 circulating fans in the tent to move air around the plants.
It looks like growth spurts have slowed and plant height has been reached. Now is the time for buds to fatten and frost up. All of them (6) are short remaining less than 3 ft. They range from 15 to 31 inches. The tallest #4 &5 and #6 have very light leaves and appear nutrient deficient compared to the shorter phenotypes. Pictures taken later in the week show fading on a few the older leaves. All are receiving the same solution and are in the same soil blend. Moving the gals in and out of the tent for their glamor shots, I bent one limb and snapped another. The bent one I taped with a splint and the snapped one I medicated manuka honey and wired it back to the main stalk.
Leaves look like sativa leaning. I hope FBA2502-2 is a good daytime. I’m getting excited to see what develops in the next month or so. News Break: I’ve been informed that 2502 is FastBuds New Frostbanger and is indica for nighttime. I’m disappointed that I didn’t get a sativa to test because I really need a daytime strain. The 2 Blue Cheese plants I just grew are also nighttime.
Upon opening the tent, a faint odor was detected, and some stickiness was observed during the process of defoliation. Pictures of the puffy buds even show differences. #4 &5 buds hairs are different from the others being crinklier and the others are straighter. Some like #2 &5 are showing frost on the leaves. Wow at the beginning of flower to have that much frost. They are living up to the new strain’s name.
I’ve noticed that when I water, sometimes water shoots out of the side holes I the air pots. I will pack the soil firmly into the sides for future runs.

Transplanted into the 5 gal smart bucket. Branches seem to be growing again. All main branches are tied down now, will take clones from the lower banches this week.
But the red stems are worrying, I think she's stressed from repotting but I will wait and see. But the yellow new growth I will have to keep an eye on and do some reading.
I was considering repotting to a 5 gal smart pot because I have the space but should leave it a while so she can recover.
Thinking about what to do for flowering lights. don't know if low end LEDS might be a better option the cfls I have now.

Happy New Year!!!
Over the past week I cut down 2 of the 3 Blackberry’s, they are hanging and drying now. The 3rd is definitely looking better than the first 2. I think the first 2 will probably be turned into edibles, rather than smoked. The 3rd is looking much better overall and especially in terms of bud development, she will probably be smoked.
The lights went off before I was done taking pics, so some pics will look a little different. The pics with the lights on I had to color correct, they still look a little more on the yellow side than in reality, but much closer to reality than the pre-color corrected versions. Once the lights went off I turned the flash on for my camera, those pics did not need any color correction. You can see the differences in the pics of all plants, the first 2 are color corrected with the lights on, the last 2 are taken with a flash and no color correction.
I read several books on cannabis over the past few days, some good, some not so much. One that I liked was “Marijuana Cultivation Reconsidered: The Science and Techniques For Huge Indoor Yields” by Read Spear. This book is available on Amzon’s Kindle Unlimited service, which costs $9.99/month, but they offer a free 30 day trial (which is what I’m using at the moment). Reed’s book is broken down into 3 sections, the first and third go fairly deep into the science behind growing, he does a pretty good job at breaking it down in easy to understand terms, but I had to read several sections 2 or 3 times to really get it (or just move on with as much understanding as I could digest). The second section is the nuts and bolts of growing. Most was a review but there were several topics he touched on I hadn’t thought of in a while. And again its well written. He also offers the section only in a separate book called “Small Spaces, Big Yields”. If you are not interested in going deeper into the science behind growing, “Small Spaces, Big Yields” is what I would recommend (if interested in reading books on cannabis).
I took some notes while reading and I’m going to add some of these notes in my dairy updates over the next few weeks. This week I’m going to include a note on electrical, this should be a fairly basic concept, but it is super important IMO…
“Electrical Items In a sealed grow room or in a tent, you will have water pooling on the floor from time to time. There is no avoiding this. Mop it up when you see it, and never put your electrical gear directly on the floor. Never. Not even for a moment. In fact, let me stress this point in bold capital letters. ALL ELECTRICAL GEAR MUST BE MOUNTED SECURELY ON A WALL OR TENT POLE.”

If anyone has any good book recommendations please let me know in the comments. I’m looking for books that might not be as popular as the ones by Jorge Cervantes or Ed Rosenthal (I’ve read those). I did just order “True Living Organics” by The Rev which I’m looking forward to reading. But I’m looking for more. I really want to step it up and learn as much as possible. Your comments, feedback and recommendations are very much appreciated!

Great growth from all the girls this week.
Stretched massively.
I have done a major defoliation to let more light to bud sights. 95% flowers are in light now. I will do another Small defoliation next week.
Dry amended top soil with bat guano, worm castings and bio life. Should be enough to bring them into mid flower.
I had a slight fungus knat issue but got some nematodes and they are starting to clear along with sticky traps.
I have also taken cuttings from a few of the girls to cross a few of the stronger strains and create my own strain. First time I will be doing this so excited to see how it turns out.

Two of the seedlings were showing some really marked chlorosis. A little odd, because all 4 buckets should be the same mix, but... I checked the EC of all the buckets and they were consistent. pH was a smidge high on those two, so I dropped it from about 5.8 to closer to 5.4/5.5. After a couple of days, I decided to just remix those two buckets. I didn't want to spend a lot of time trying to fiddle with a nutrient deficiency with autos. After a couple of days the meristem areas were coming in green again, so hopefully it's fixed! The other two plants looked fine.
Edit: Immediately after writing this entry, I was like "Oooh, it's nute burn." so I dumped 1/2 of the reservoirs and replaced with filtered water to get the ppm down. pHed it to 5.5 again, and we'll see!

¡Hola, growers! Perdón por no poder compartir las semanas completas, pero poco a poco volvemos a la normalidad. Las fotos que ven corresponden al día 01/10/24 y, como pueden ver, están llenas de terpenos y tricomas por todas partes. Tanto la Fruit Gum como la Biscotti x Candy Rain son dos de las cepas más resinosas que he cultivado y, además, desprenden un olor increíblemente fuerte.
La Fruit Gum tiene esos toques dulces y nostálgicos, como a chicle de mascar, que me transportan directamente a mi infancia. En cuanto a la Biscotti x Candy Rain, su aroma es como el de una clásica galleta americana casera, ¡muy intenso! Ambas cepas me están impresionando mucho por su resinosidad y aromas únicos.
Cabe destacar que las genéticas de Uktha Genetics me han sorprendido gratamente; los resultados están siendo fantásticos. Eso sí, estas cepas comen como camiones, pero mientras se mantenga un control exhaustivo de las fertilizaciones y del medio de cultivo, no hay problema de sobrefertilización.
Pronto cortaremos una de las plantas que está bastante adelantada. Espero que disfruten tanto como yo este proceso y, como siempre, ¡buenos humos para todos! 🌱💨

Nate in inizio aprile le prime gorilla glue xl sono da subito partite alla grande, una fase vegetativa molto notevole, ad inizi agosto già sfiorava i due metri di altezza la gorilla xl! Hanno resistito bene al caldo afoso del sud Italia estivo, hanno resistito ai forti temporali di fine settembre, la temperatura diurna e notturna è calata drasticamente causando colorazioni viola in gran parte delle infiorescenze di gorilla glue xl, gelato Olandese e Critical XL, a parte una gorilla gigante, le altre e 5 sono rimaste di statura media ma molto piene di infiorescenze sempre più resinose e profumate e colorate.. Da subito a metà agosto hanno iniziato a fiorire e attualmente manca qualche giorno alla fine di questo magico outdoor, grazie alle varietà di dutchfem Seeds siamo sempre più soddisfatti, cosa pretendere di più?? Anche le autofiorenti sono state magnifiche.. Piante di grande quantità e grande qualità.. Forza dutchfem seeds!

Day 57 about to do my first schwazz
Day 60 did a heavy defoliation. Not quite a schwazz. Almost Filled a 2 gallon bucket up with clippings a lot more light and air penetration is available. I think she’ll bounce back nicely
Day 64. As the week comes to an end. I am very pleased with the progress. Canopy is nice and even. You can’t tell which one is the main cola. And for a little 300 watt light even the lower flowers are getting pretty dense. Still a long way to go. I would imagine this one will take over 90 days before see Amber. But we shall see
