Halfway through week 7. Couple pictures from Tuesday. Gonna upload more when I get back home to her. Can’t raise the lights anymore. Hoping she is done stretching. She takes up every bit of that 4x5 box. Couldn’t be happier with this grow so far. I think next time I’ll go down to 5 gal smart pots this way I can pump out two of them. Still in disbelief she has grown this fast and started budding that fast as well!! I’m feeding her 2 gallons every 2 or so days. She is a very thirsty girl and let’s me know when she is hungry too (leaves curl down). I’ve been slowly defoliating the bottom of her. I cut a couple under grown budds from underneath as well. Not sure how she’d respond if I went scissor happy. I also can’t say enough about Advanced Nutrients. Since I made the switch I can tell her leaves are always praying up and overall health seems through the roof! She really is a monster. 31 inches wide by 36 inches tall. She is stacking nicely. Did my best with pictures. Can’t tell if the flash on the phone helps or hurts the pictures. End of the week- She is doing awesome. Blowing up pretty fast and there is a serious citrus pine smell coming off her when you bump into a budd or it wipes on your finger. For the most part it seems as if she is loving life!!

Drying conditions 1-12 to 12-12: Temps: 16.2 to 17.7 degrees. Humidity: 61% End results: Haze Berry #1: 23 gram trim, 17 gram small buds, 40.8 gram buds. Haze Berry #2: 20 gram trim, 12 gram small buds, 60.8 gram buds. I forgot to weigh the buds directly after trimming, so the results should be 5/10 grams more per plant. I really enjoyed this strain, it helped me stop using tabacco in my joints. The effect is strong and relaxing, with a sweet taste. With the small buds and trim i made some beautiful bubble hash!

Day 42-49 (Day 43) I was at the dollar store today and I found the best little plant risers. And they all link together in perfect 12” squares. Fits in my tent perfectly and only spent 15 bucks. That should help the dry downs quite a bit. I’m going to transplant the euro genetics into 1.7g pots with amended sunshine mix #4 for their final containers. I moved all of the non-marijuana seedlings into a small greenhouse out of my tent so I have some more space and light per plant. I also set up an exhaust fan to keep the humidity at a perfect 65-70% night and day. (Day 44) Everything is looking a little nute burned and droopy. The garlics are showing signs of overwatering and nitrogen toxicity. They look like they want to flower so badly. Node spacing is weirdly short too. I picked up the American genetics to look for roots and they were busting out of the bottom. They’re definitely not rootbound as they’re not even a foot tall yet. This is likely from having soil that is too compact (from using too much rock dust and not enough drainage) causing my waterings to not even reach the bottom of the pot. This was also happening to my other grow. I will make sure to very lightly pack soil into pots for now on because you can always add more later. I’m going to fluff up the pots and see if I can loosen the soil a bit. If that doesn’t work I’m going to look at transplanting into 3g fabric pots and lightly shaking off most of the old soil. Luckily I added a shit ton of drainage for the euro genetics when I amended the sunshine mix so they won’t need a transplant. (Day 46) The fluffing didn’t do much. In fact it might have made it worse lol. I just went to the store and bought some Destiny Organics soil and have decided to transplant. I dusted off 90% of the old soil down to root ball which will cause an insane amount of stress to the plants. The plants started in the aero garden were being choked out by the shitty sponge plug it was germinated in. I took a razor blade and carefully cut them down the middle so the stem can expand. I might have cut a few major roots one or two plants. Other than that everything is transplanted. I cut all my amendments in half and I packed the soil very loosely this time. The situation is not ideal by any means but I’m hoping they will bounce back in the next week. This should at least set them up for a more successful flower. I can’t really expect much quality from botched run but who knows. I might come out with some fire. Since this is my last grow here I don’t even have to pay the power bill for the next few months! (I have a very generous landlord as he’s letting me finish my grow until mid September now 😂) (Day 47) I’m going to give them their first good watering and test my fluffy soil. I watered in approximately 700mls each making sure it soaks to the bottom of the pot. (Day 49) All the plants have bounced back except for the ones with root damage. They are still looking droopy and sad. The black garlic #1 has recovered really nicely and is looking happier than ever. The apical growth tip is so tight it has like 4 nodes within an inch somehow. I recently learned that hormones contained in kelp and seaweed extracts can act as plant growth inhibitors and shorten node spacing drastically. I only added a very small amount of kelp meal to the soil so it must be leftover from the previous foliar sprays Velokelp. I’m going to pinch the top off bg1 and see if the lowers can catch up. Sucks to do that so close to flip but oh well. The euros are looking fully recovered from their burn a little while ago. The sunshine mix is quite thick and water retentive as well but at least it has some extra drainage. They’re all looking quite healthy.

Chopped on day 57 from from first pistils. Could’ve let them go another week but I have some commitments coming up and I need to dry and jar these flowers before I head out of town for 2 weeks. Will post the harvest report as soon as they’re finished drying. Stay tuned.

Week 2 had a few challenges. The seedlings were getting little leggy so I got them outdoors in the breeze to strengthen the stem. The wind caused one to snap but it didnt fully break so it is in scotch tape traction right now 🤣. It is still hanging tough after day two fingers crossed. I am preparing the pots for the seedlings to be transplanted into this weekend. I plan to use FishSh!t to easy the stress of transplanting. I am using the leds on overcast days to supplement till they get bigger. Happy growing and any suggestions are welcome just be sweet. 😘 -Kate

A little slow on putting up the volume. Don’t know the culprit. Co2 was elevated most of the time. Maybe the humidity was a bit too high.

Auto Opium is growing good. I lollipopped the canopy, and did some selective defoliation today I did a solution change on her about 4 days ago. Everything is looking on track. I am sure she will do some stretching this next week. And we've reached the end of another week. This girl is really tall; she ended up getting too close to the light and burned a couple of leaves. I only noticed it today, so I believe I won't have any more problems. Otherwise, everything is fine; she's developing well. 👌💪

This was a great experience and something I have looked forward to for 19 YEARS!!!!!! Thats right, my very first attempt was a summer when I was 14 in a backyard with mediocre results and no flower but that was my very first grow ever. 19 years later its fully legal and here I am getting 36 grams of decent bud grown by the sun in a very questionable cannabis climate!!! NO COMPLAINTS HERE!!!!!!!😋 This diary was never about getting giant buds or the best flowers but more about I'm growing ORGANIC PINEAPPLE EXPRESS IN MY BACKYARD literally a dream come true, to do this worry free, 100% legal. As far as the grow goes I will certainly have some new strategies next year, I think a plastic pot would have been better to keep the heat in at night time with the cool temps earlier on in summer. Maybe even some minor insulation would be a good idea?!?! I'll invent the canadian outdoor cannabis pot hahahah I did not scrog the lady but I did use some yoyos to pull down the outer branches to help the flowers get even light. Will try folair feeding as well next time. I also dried her outside! and trimmed her outside to, she got the full outdoor experience. I just cut the plant and hung her under the deck, worked out good as it was a fairly dry week and she dried out fairly slowly, a little quicker than the tent plants. Now in about a week or 2, maybe a small cure at least first I will be doing the end game goal, smoking endless doobies of pineapple express while watching pineapple express!!!!!!!!! Just like me a lot of people would have given up on this little girl but like an Energizer Bunny she still going

Woah. She just keeps on gaining height. I remember readin somewhere that when grown in 11l pots they’ll only get to about 30cms - but that’s such misinformation 😂 that’s why I love learning from experience, even though the internet is a great source to gather information from. Last week I discovered some bronze spots on her leaves - and they haven’t disappeared yet. I suspected a calmag deficiency, so I started giving her more of it. I don’t care if the damage done doesn’t go away - I just don’t want it to get worse. 06/11: Fed her. It seems like she empties her pot every second day now. I usually feed her until runoff - and I feed her a lot. Someone suggested that I feed her less, so I’ll see how that goes. Maybe that’ll make some nutrients more available to her - I don’t know. Also I found a sticker for my desktop computer that I never used (I hate stickers) and I thought it would look well on her pot. It reads “Do Not Disturb” 06/12: She’s looking good - beautiful flowers are popping up here and there. 06/13: Not looking too good today. I don’t know if she was underwatered, but she was all droopy all day. I fed her twice and now it’s just a waiting game to see how she’ll react to that. 06/14: She’s well today! It’s such a game between me and my dramatic plant... I guess she was just acting hangry with me yesterday. 06/15: I thought some of her leaves were looking a bit dark - and possibly tacoing a bit? But it could just be the light. Regardless, I gave a little less grow nute, to back down from nitrogen. 06/16: Nothing new to say. She’s gorgeous and dramatic. 06/17: Fed her today. Can’t wait for her to buds to fatten... I feel so impatient 😂
