first day after a 12h night cycle, still have a big gnat problem. gonna go buy new bacteria, stickies and DT Earth. the grow shop just let me know that they got it back in stock but i haven't been able to find nematóides. doesn't seem to be a common practice here. i haven't watered them in a few days. the top soil is bone dry but the plants don't look like they're requesting water just yet so i think it's a good time to lay down the new dt earth and new yellow traps to see if we can kill the remainder. gonna grab some flowering ferts too while I'm at it. Update: got a bigger pot and some supergrow soil, only had time to transplant one of them today. but I decided to after them one more cycle before i do the DT earth. update: dt earth added, seems to be alright but not quite dry enough

[ Introduction ] Welcome to my first ever grow journal! I have been growing medically for the past couple years, documenting some of my grows on my Facebook and Instagram (@OnlyTomatoes) pages, as well as several cannabis cultivation subreddits. I've found that I do a lot of things differently than other growers, so I'd like to share a full cycle publicly in case I have the answers to somebody's questions. [ Updates ] Day 4 - Lights have been lowered to 18 inches off canopy, dimmed to 25%. They've recovered from both their transplant and their topping, new growth looks almost perfect. I'm going to keep the accidental sunflowers for a few more days and see if there's any significant difference between plants. They all received a foliar spray of neem, kelp, and a bit of calmag before lights off yesterday. I expect to be able to remove the remaining damaged leaves by the end of this week. Day 7 - Lights increased to 30%, C02 increased to 800ppm, getting ready for week 2 of veg. Fed today, fairly low EC (<1.5) blend of Silica, Calcium, Kelp, Molasses, and Tribus Grow in a mixture of R/O and tap water. Very little runoff at 1gal per pot. Will most likely foliar again before lights off with a light fish hydrolysate mixture to help with any nitrogen issues. Any dead or dying leaves you see are from pre-transplant, I'm just waiting a few days longer for the existing rootballs' ph levels to swing back to a healthy range before removing all that unsightly growth. I'm really not sure when I'm going to remove the sunflowers growing in some of the pots, I've seen no negative effects yet. I could flip group 1 into flower if I wanted, the canopy is level and beautiful, however group 2 will take a while longer to fill a canopy. Normally I would never allow pre-veg plants to have such obvious deficiencies, but constant hand watering led to some poor nutrient decisions on my part. They've been in their final pots for a few days now and were topped on day 0 of veg. I plan on lowering the lights to 18"-24" within canopy around day 3, I'm just allowing some extra time for the roots to really dig in. I've found that a batch of dirt that was used had sunflower seeds in it, possibly winter food storage from an outside rodent, so I'm debating how long I will let these sunflower seedlings grow alongside my plants. They do make a good cover crop with amazing root systems, I just don't think that really applies in pots of this size where plants can choke each other out.

Just been adding water when dry. Adding some pure worm castings top dresses. Will be adding Gaia green all purpose in a week or 2 when needed.

The heat is getting to her, all leaf foliage gone, the buds are browning, I'm keeping an eye on the trichomes all ok so far. Big yeild 3 week 5, seams to be more bud sites, the main stem is higher than the reat but spread out so will c how she flowers.

Week 15 brings fading leaves and denser buds..when I squeeze them they feel rock hard! I think in 1-2 weeks she will be getting chopped. I will continue to flush for that fuller fade...hoping to bring out some colors during this and maximize terpenes and trichomes. Looks like I'll have to pay close attention to those yellow leaves when trimming...I did trim up one bud and it took a bit of time for me to get everything clean off. I'm so excited to harvest her it's been a loooooong journey for an autoflower!

We are true fans of what we do. We call ourselves growers with dignity. Back in 2023, we kept growing indoors even when there was no electricity for months and power was only available for a few hours a day. We used generators, and when they broke down during winter, so our beauties wouldn’t freeze, we heated water over open fires, filled plastic bottles with it, and used them to keep the temperature stable until we could repair the old generator or buy a new one. We did all of this within just a few hours, over and over again. But what happened this year, just one day ago, was something truly horrifying. I posted the video here showing how it happened and how lucky I was to survive. We are not giving up, and we are trying to stay strong even though it is incredibly hard. Even now, after everything that happened, we are still trying to save the plants. They were ripped out by the roots and wilted badly, but they are photoperiod plants, and we still hope they can recover. I uploaded the video of what happened — you can watch it in the diary. Frosty...the stretch came to a halt thankfully. I've got a few top buds that show some bleaching from being so close to my lights. The buds, fan leaves and sugar leaves are looking very frosty and feel super sticky. The humidity finally became uncontrollable with just the dehumidifier and I kicked on the 8,000btu air conditioner. I was going to start to bring the temps down anyway so timing was great as spring sets upon the midwest United States.

Super impressed with the vertical growth on the costa mesa haze plants. Fimed everything week ago, really helped in shooting out more nodes. Already showing buds on CMH.

Holy Lst. Getting crazy now for just a few weeks from seed. No stopping it now.
