Week 5 started off a bit rough. Continuing to over nute the plant babies, I realised I should flush and step back a little. The flush helped a lot. I keep the plants outside on days where the weather was good, and put them back inside to maintain 20/4 light schedule. I defoliated a large fan leaves at the bottom of the plants, as well as any of the yellowing leaves. This, coupled with the flushing, really seemed to perk them up. I trained some more of the branches and tucked away fan leaves blocking bud sites. All 5 plants are flowering, with B#2 (the untopped one), leading the charge with a solid main cola. I'm surprised by how little they stretched, but perhaps that has something to do with me nuking them with fertiliser at a critical point. Eh.

Alright I've updated this postmortem and cure just to give an idea of what I was up to during the dry and cure weeks. This grow was a ton of work and I'm very please with the results. I learned a ton about soil and environment control and really feel like I'm gaining confidence and coming into my own as a cultivator. I've been playing a lot with ice water hash and rosin and have set some neat goals for the future like hunting ice water hash cultivars, going perpetual and expanding the amount of canopy I can work with by building a network of remote-operated satellite flower tents in friends' and family's abodes . Hello growers and tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 There has been much change this week!! First there was a big defoliation done, I cleaned the bottom of the plants. All the growth that wouldn't amount to anything because the light doesn't penetrate that low. Also took off the biggest fan leaves to give more room for light. Then finally switched to 12/12.. After just 36 hours after the defoliation there was a major change. New growth everywhere, colas started stretching upwards fast. By far the tallest girls in the tent. Her colas are stacking up nice and tight if she keeps that up we'll have some nice dense colas. 😁 Great reaction to the defoliation and 12/12 switch. I'm still watering every other day, After the defoliation I watered with only Enzymes 2ml/L to clean the roots a bit then started with the nutrientes again. I dropped the amount of grow nutrients from 3ml/L to 1ml/L and started adding bloom nutrientes 2ml/L for now. I'll slowly be upping the bloom nutrientes and after week 2 I'll no longer add grow nutrients. That's it for this week. Stay tuned to see how they flower. Stay safe!

Hey now, hope everyone is having a pleasant weekend. Not much to be done this week, I did some LST just trying to keep the 2 mains as flat as possible. They are pushing their fifth node, and that is where i will top them as soon as I can, probably in a day or two. Most people top their mainlines at the 3rd node for the second topping, however I like a wider bush, and also when using a Metal Halide Bulb it causes the nodes to grow extremely close together, but also creates super thick stems capable of producing massive colas. I will do the next toppings at the 3rd nodes, and then the final toppings at the 1st node. I have my coco coir ready to roll for the transplant into the 12.5 gallon container, but that will take place in about 10-12 days or so based on how she grows and responds to training. I made another batch of Canna Sugar this week, it is amazing....I just decarb then soak about a Quarter Pound of flower in everclear for a few months, then strain it over sugar and stir it occasionally, until all the alcohol evaporates which takes a few days....Great in your morning coffee....Thanks for stopping by, stay safe and Blaze On!

Gold Sativa has been growing really fast. I had to take solution out of buckets right before update here. Was causing over watering issues with roots growing so fast. So providing more air space between basket, and solution. Should help her perk up a little more. This is my first run of photoperiods in DWC. I think I got most major issues resolved. One of the plants had some nutrient burn so I tried to flush her with plain water. I dont give her nutrients till she is good. The problem is that she got it from a fertilized soil layer which I put on the bottom of the pot. Sooo hopefully she is recovering. I'm scared that the other plant has also enough nutrients so this week I dont feed her at all. Lets see how she does next week. Buds are doing well on plant 1. Plant 2 is a little bit behind.

All in all this grow was super easy. I couldve done some things to make it better but she pretty much did all the work. This strain would be perfect for a SOG style grow because it produces mostly a singular main cola nug that's pretty huge and then the bottom nugs themselves are also decently chunky. 4/22 chopped the lower half the plant. Wet it weighs 50grams. Still have the main cola in a dark room for another day or so before im gonna chop. 4/26 bottom half of plant dried in 4 days. 5/2 top cola dried in 5 days. Total weight is less than 20 grams at 19.4 5/12. Ten days of cure and shes looking even better. Spongey thick nugs. Dark red almost brown Pistils with pyramid shaped nugs. I also wanted to not how fast and easy this grow actually was. She has so much amber I probably couldve chopped her 2 weeks previous. 3 weeks veg and 5 weeks flowering and some would chop. Review. Growing 9/10 for ease of growth Super fast and simple. You can Fuck up and get fat buds lol High: 9/10 super stoney. No paranoia Yield:8/10 plant a super short. Like less than a foot. Can probably yield around a zip roughly Bag appeal: 7/10after cure buds look good. Before harvest buds look fantastic as well

Last week before flowering 😊😄😝 The plants did an excellent job last week. The repotting to the large pots has done them well. 👍 I have watered the plants 3 times now. First two times 5 liters of water, containing 1 tablet of RQS Easy Grow Booster. The third time 1.5 tablet for 5 liters of water. Mind ! It takes a while before the tablets are dissolved! 😹 The color of the new leaves is beautifully green. The VPD is now also perfect most of the time with a value of 1.0 👌 For that I had to increase the relative humidity to almost 70%. 😭 I attached the plants that are somewhat larger, to the plant sticks, with a plastic binding strip. In this way I pull the plants to the same height as the smaller plants. This gives me a nice match canopy. The lower side branches of the large plants will now develop more, but I will remove them later. 👽 The plants now get 18 hours of light, so that the shock is a little less when they go to 12/12. 🙏

Day 78 - Today starts the 4th week of flower. Fed today with 2 tsp Bloom, 1 tsp Mag Pro, 1/2 tsp Foliage Pro. Fed close to 1 1/2 gallons to get sufficient runoff. After this week, I will follow the Dyna-Gro feed chart and drop the Foliage Pro from the feeding, and she will get only the Bloom and Mag Pro (ProTekt was on the feed chart, but I didn't get any when I first started her). She is moving along nicely it seems. Expect the next feed to come in on Monday. I'm testing with upping the power to 100% on the lights, and seeing what it does with the temps. I would feel fine with 84° or lower. Day 79 - Temps haven't changed from the upping of the light power. Should be on full blast until the last week, maybe 10 days, where I am thinking I'm going to slowly lower the power again, to mimic autumn. Probably not necessary, but feels like something I want to try. Day 80 - Temps are fine from the light increase, and there is no droopiness or anything negative from the defoliation. Will probably look to feed tomorrow, and keep moving the days/weeks along. Day 81 - Fed today with 2 tsp Bloom, 1 tsp Mag Pro, 1/2 tsp Foliage Pro. Day 82 - Nothing to note. Day 83 - Medium seems to still have some moisture, so I am going to hold off on feeding tomorrow, and instead will feed on Friday. I assume part of it is that I had to water later than I usually do last time. I normally water when the lights first come on, but I ended up watering in the middle of the 'day' last time. Day 84 - 4 week of flowering are now complete. The medium did end up drying a bit more than I expected, but with no real signs of hunger, I will still wait until tomorrow to feed. I am ordering a new fan for the pole of the tent (hate how this one angles when the pressure starts to pull the tent in. I believe I will still use this fan, just lower (under the canopy), and blowing up through the plant (been suggested a couple times to add a fan underneath).

Holy Moses! This girl is starting to pack on the weight and I couldn’t be more happy with how things are going. Unlike the blueberry, the hot weather did not affect this gal at all. True indica genetics holding strong and now she’s packing and loading. Right now each main has started to basically develop into its own plant, structure wise. I’ll be chopping her in multiple sessions. Taking the big mains first and letting light in to finish the rest off. Right now the trichomes are 50/50 clear to cloudy. Hopefully the wind stays away the coming weeks because if she doubles up again I’ll be looking for support. ❤️ I was so happy with this plant that I had a friend clone her, and now we have a tent of these. Home stretch!

19.1.25: I have watered all plants with 300ml of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.3, with 1/3 jar of black strap molasses with Ecothrive Biosys-1g. I am looking to increase the sugars for microbial life and plant processes. It'll also add some extra Calcium, Magnesium and trace elements. I also, watered all plants with Bloom nutrients. Using dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.3 with the following nutrients: (ml/l) ;- ♡ 2ml Cal-Mag ♡ 2ml Ecothrive Flourish ♡ 2ml Xpert Nutrients Bloom Booster ♡ 2ml Biobizz Bloom ♡ 2ml Biobizz Top Max ♡ 1g of Ecothrive Biosys I watered around 1-3 litres per plant. Depending on size and requirements. I'm still spilling water containing the nutrient solution. 🙄 I am using this to rub into the leaves. I think a nice foliar massage won't do any harm, make the most of the situation. The plants have become very hungry and thirsty. Increased the water by double. I ran out of my TNC cal-mag. I decided to order the Xpert Nutrients brand, as I like their products. It isn't organic as far as I can tell, but I don't think it matters too much to me, to be honest. I also want to top dress this week, so I bought some Green Leaf PK bud Booster dry amendment from Amazon, too. I'll mix it with canna coco, perlite, worm castings, and Ecothrive Life Cycle. 24.1.25: I went ahead and top dressed all the plants with 4.5 gallons of my supersoil custom mix. This consists of the following substrate and dry amendments: ♡ 60% Canna coco ♡ 20% Worm castings ♡ 15 % Perlite The remaining 5% consists of the following dry amendments;- ♡ 10g Ecothrive Biosys ♡ 1 Tsp RHS Mycorrhizal Fungi granules ♡ 3 Tsp Vitalink Bat guano ♡ 4 Tsp Diatomaceous earth ♡ 8 Tsp Ground Cinnamon ♡ 10g Green Leaf Bud Booster PK booster. ♡ 3 Tsp Ecothrive Life Cycle. •Worm castings for some all round nutrition. •Cinnamon for mildew and bug repellent. •Canna coco base substrate. •Perlite for adding oxygen to the root and soil system. •Green Leaf Bud Booster PK Booster for blooming.
