This week I'm showing you the harvest of the second of the two London Pound Cakes, which was trained with a Mainfolding method, but without any LST bending. Technique Used: We did the first topping at the 5th internode, as per the manual (beforehand, we're talking about microgrowing; the plant can stay short, but it's advisable not to wait that long for autoflowers, for example). We created the Mainfolding by trimming everything after the topping, leaving only the two small branches. We let them grow for three internodes and then topped them twice more. We got several good buds, similar in appearance and of excellent quality. I only trimmed the one that seemed a bit off, a faded greenish color that wasn't getting much light. The plant is truly beautiful; it has opened up like a bush, nice and plump, and the flowers are firm and firm with a distinct sweet aroma that suggests a fantastic taste, something that's not at all obvious these days. Pot and Soil - This plant was grown in a 20-liter pot with Plagron's BioLight Mix organic soil, which gave us a solid start, and then we proceeded to fertilize. Lighting/PPFD - A Zamnesia Phytonaut 480W LED lamp was used from mid-flowering until fruiting. We achieved a PPFD (photosynthetically active photon flux density) between 800 and 1200 μmol/m²/s, with a cycle of 24 hours, then 23 hours, then 20 hours, and finally 18 hours. All with CO2, which mitigates the effects of heat and excessive light. Trichhomes: We still have a good amount of amber trichomes, starting at 30%. There are several 40-45% opaque and transparent trichomes. In this case, we've gone much further than usual in terms of maturity because the plant is indica-dominant, and we need and want to bring out its characteristics, even at the risk of some oxidation (the amber color is caused by oxidation. Don't fall into the common mistake of thinking that all or a majority of amber is needed; the harvest window opens at 15%, and you don't need a lot of amber, especially if the plants are sativa). Hi Growmies. I hope you will all have a blessed Christmas with family and friends around you sharing love and good food. What a great week this has been. It seems they started the cycle so slowly at the beginning of the week and within a few days it had exploded with flowers a across all the plants. From base to tip on each branch of all the ladies they have sprung up with a bang. I was concerned as to how much longer they could go without flowering too. #1 Is leading the pack for production in general, closely followed by #3 but for Flower size and growth, then it has to be #2. She is a lot smaller than her sisters in girth and limbs but is not lacking in the cola dept at all. The plagron bloom products and planned effects are very evident now and i am looking forward to seeing how it helps with yield and quality now. As i have now reached 4 weeks flowering, it is time to add the product I have been most excited about trying , Green Sensation. I have known about thisnpriduct a long time but never had the opportunity to add it to my arsenal. It looks and smells great to me so I expect the girls will savour its goodness. Looking For a Keeper cream of the crop seeds purple paralysis 10th March 2021 So Far So Good for these two , it hasn't rained again since the last downpour but the clouds hanging around this afternoon look very ominous indeed. 😐 I only water early morning now so that the soil is fairly dry again on top by the time the sun sets in the evening. this is to limit the extra moisture that could hinder the plants resistance to mold . I also gave them a good old feed of my Worm castings tea mixed with Mollasses & Seaweed mix. 💪💪 Cheers for stopping by 👍

1/12: impatiently waiting for lemon auto to finish up. Still not sure what the northern lights is trying to do, but..the little buds are slowly growing. S l o w l y... 1/14: things are getting out of hand in here. Northern lights is bushy AF again but the budlets appear to be increasing in size. Lemon is getting closer every day. Looks like I've got milky trichomes and the pistils are darkening. Still a bit early, but I'd be lying if I wasn't anxious for the space.. 1/15: I've accepted that I have at least a week ish left on Lemon auto,but she's getting there! I did some rather risky defoliation on northern lights and holy shit, she's got potential. I'm hoping she's just a slow grower and those buds will really fatten up! Perhaps lemon is just a really fast growing plant? I've also decided that since space is limited, my best bet is to probably rotate the plants every other day to allow all bid sites an opportunity for direct light. I'm reigning myself in. Once lemon auto is harvested I need to NOT immediately plant another. I've got some mephosito seeds I want to get going, but I've learned my lesson. This tent fits two 5 gallon mature plants... Uncomfortably. Three is too many 😂 1/17: wondering if northern lights has is it her to fatten up. Gave her a good flush &feed. Popcorn buds or not, I'm invested (#forscience). Lemon auto is still finishing up. Can't get good enough pics with phone to see trichomes. Clearly, I have a minimum of a week left, but I got a digital microscope so I can keep track! Pink Kush is starting to turn Purpleish pink, and fall all over her self like a drunken, top heavy, 30 something, ex-high school prom queen addicted to xanax and boxed wine.

Rolling into Week 15! It’s been a pretty quiet one on the home front. Looking at the buds, they still don’t quite have that 'ready for the chop' look just yet, so it’s officially a waiting game from here on out. Patience is definitely a virtue at this stage! One big win this week was the environment: thanks to the low ambient humidity outside and in my apartment, the tent climate has stayed perfectly in the sweet spot without much effort on my part. It’s always a relief when Mother Nature does the heavy lifting for you! Just keeping a steady hand and letting her finish up at her own pace. We’re getting there, slowly but surely. May the green thumb be with you 💚

What's up guys? This week was very nice. They gained a lot of trichomes and the smell became extremely strong. Smells like a very sweet perfume. I love it and I can't wait to have a taste. I fed them the last time today. From now on they will get pure water only. See you next week!
