Week 02 Introduction This week has been a bit of a struggle. Had my first experience dealing with slime and brown algae. But I think adding enzymes and increasing the beneficial bacteria helped to fix the issue. Also experienced nutrient burn for the first time. My nutrient solution strength got as high as 671 PPMs. So backed it down to about 430 PPMs during the end-of-week reservoir change. Also cut Hydroguard (expired?), CaliMagic, and Superthrive from this grow. Now she's still stunted, but is starting to recover. Hopefully... [START OF WEEK 02] Day 01 - Monday - 08/10/20 - Total Days: 008 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Still looks a bit yellow. But getting larger! --- Solution strength was at 248 PPMs. --- Just topped off with a bit of distilled water --- PH went up to 6.1 so PH'd down to 5.8 --- Ran the top feed for a bit to wet the hydroton. - [2130]: She's looking even more yellow now. --- Even the new leaves are really yellow. --- Decided to add more base nutes. --- Added 4ml of Sensi A --- Added 4ml of Sensi B --- Now at about --- Solution Strength went up to 304 PPM. --- PH was at 6, --- Also raised the water level a bit more. --- I really hope it's a nutrient deficiency and not an over-watering issue. --- Please live! Day 02 - Tuesday - 08/11/20 - Total Days: 009 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Looking less droopy. But still yellow. --- Decided to do a reservoir change. --- 4.5gal of distilled water --- 8ml of Sensi Grow A --- 8ml of Sensi Grow B --- 8ml of Voodoo Juice --- 4ml of B-52 --- 4ml of CaliMagic --- 4ml of Hydroguard --- 4 drops of Superthrive --- PH'd down to 5.8 --- Solution strength: 302 PPM --- Since I didn't want to risk over-watering the rockwool, I did not to do a top feed, may do one tonight after the sleep cycle (lights are still set to go off at 10am and back on at 4pm). --- As I was doing a reservoir change, I noticed that the tubes and bucket were a bit slimy. Didn't really stink or anything. Is this normal? Maybe due to the Hydroguard and Voodoo Juice? --- I hope she gets better soon! - [2215]: Getting larger! But still yellow. --- Also can see a root growing through the net pot! Tiny little thing but it's there! Will have to start dropping water once more appear. --- After looking over a few DWC diaries using AN nutes, seems like my solution strength is still too low. Most around this stage average around 500 PPMs with about 4ml per gallon. --- Top fed for a minute to wet the top of the hydroton. --- Solution strength went down to 263 PPM. --- Added 8ml more of Sensi A --- Added 8ml more of Sensi B --- Now base nutes are at 16ml for 4.5 gal of water. --- PPMs went up to 411. --- Still lower than 500 PPMs, but that's okay. --- PH was at 6. Not sure if I should adjust PH using AN nutes. So going to not ajdust unless PH goes above 6.1. Day 03 - Wednesday - 08/12/20 - Total Days: 010 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Looks like more root growth! --- She still looks yellow. But leaves are perky. --- PH was at 6.2 so lowered down to 5.8. --- Solution strength was at 394 PPMs --- Since roots are still growing, I decide to lower the water level a bit. Now water level is a bit below the net pot. - [2200]: Root is getting longer! --- Slime is returning. Not sure why. --- Solution strength: 357 PPMs --- PH: 6.1 --- Decided to add an enzyme along with more beneficial bacteria to hopefully cure the slime. --- Added 16ml of Sensizym --- Added 5ml of Hydroguard --- Added 8ml of Voodoo Juice --- New solution strength: 430 PPMs --- New PH: 6.1 --- Top fed for a minute. --- This slimy residue is really freaking me out! I hope the added enzymes will help eliminate the slime. --- Going to do a full reservoir sterilization/nutrient change over the weekend. Please survive until then girl! Day 04 - Thursday - 08/13/20 - Total Days: 011 ----------------------------------- - [0930]: I think the enzymes worked! There is little to no slime now! --- Although I think the root was also dissolved in the process. It's now just a little stub sticking just below the net pot. The enzyme is also suppose to dissolved dead roots too but guess that root was too weak? Not sure what happened there. But I think the slime is cured! --- Solution strength went down to 395 PPMs. Decided to add more base nutrients. --- Added 8ml of Sensi A --- Added 8ml of Sensi B --- Added 4ml of B-52 --- Solution strength went up to 598 PPMs. --- PH was at 6.1 --- As long as the PH is between 5.5 and 6.3, I'm not going to use PH Up or Down. But still will monitor PH levels. - [1715]: Checked up on her after her nap and shes looking alive but stunted. But no slime! --- Decided to add some sugars to help maintain the enzymes and beneficial bacteria. --- Solution strength was at 587 PPMs. --- PH was at 6.2 --- Added 8ml of Bud Candy --- Solution strength went up to 671 PPMs. --- PH also went up to 6.3 --- Lowered water level a bit to hopefully promote more root growth. --- Top fed for a minute. --- She is getting bigger, but still looks yellow. Day 05 - Friday - 08/14/20 - Total Days: 012 ----------------------------------- - [0915]: Leaves look a little burnt on the tips. Still no slime. --- Going to back off on the PPMs to hopefully fix the nutrient toxicity. --- Solution strength was at 632 PPMs --- PH was at 6.3 --- Added/Removed water until PPMs were at 536. --- PH was still at 6.3 --- Raised water up a bit, then top fed for a minute. - [2200]: Looking better. Still yellow though. --- Solution strength: 514 PPMs --- PH: 6.5 --- Added PH down. --- New solution strength: 518 PPMs --- New PH: 5.2 --- PH was kind of high. So decided to PH down. Had to use quite a bit to bring it down. But eventually got it to drop down to 5.3. A little low, but so far, the PH has always gone up so wanted to start it really low. --- Ran the top feed for a minute to re-saturate the top of the hydroton. Day 06 - Saturday - 08/15/20 - Total Days: 013 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: She looks stunted. leaves are still yellow. --- Solution strength: 514 PPMs --- PH: 5.6 --- Top fed for a minute. --- Not sure what to do at this point. Going to do another reservoir change soon. Hoping she lives until then. - [2145]: Looking pretty much the same. --- A bit of slime has returned. Since I've been diluting the nutrient solution, the enzyme ratio has dropped. So I guess this is expected. --- Also noticed that slime build up was on the air-stones. Never really checked the stones so not sure how long that has been there. Looks brown too, which can't be good. --- Going to do an H202 sterilization of the system (minus the net pot) tomorrow so did not add anything. --- Lowered the water level to below the net pot. --- Then top fed for a minute. Day 07 - Sunday - 08/16/20 - Total Days: 014 ----------------------------------- - [0900]: STERILIZATION DAY! --- Decided to skip today's night cycle for a deep clean. --- I'm hoping that skipping a night cycle won't be too stressful. --- Temporarily moved her to a new bucket. --- Used about a half of gallon of straight distilled water to flush out the net pot. --- Drained the system and wiped up all the brown sludge. Also removed the air stones and cleaned up all the goo. --- Filled the system with 2 gallons of distilled water and at least 30ml of food grade hydrogen peroxide (35% strength). --- Yea its a lot, but since I'm not going to sterilize the system overnight, I went with a really high doseage. Basically I kept adding until I started to see little bubbles start to form. --- Then I ran the water pump. - [0915]: Boiled the air stones in tap water for about 10 min. Then reconnected them to the airlines. --- I let the air stones and hose soak in the sterilization solution for about 5 minutes so the peroxide can absorb into the stones. Then ran the air stone to help mix and agitate the solution. --- Occasionally, I'd repeat the process of turning the air pump off for a few minutes to let the stones soak. - [1000]: Covered the top two row of holes of the net pot with some aluminum tape. Hopefully this solves the light leaking in through the hydroton. - [1200]: Used an old toothbrush and scrubbed the pump clean. Then drained the system. --- Refilled with more distilled water and peroxide. Again added a lot. --- Ran system again to sterilize even more. - [1530]: Drained the system and refilled with distilled water to rinse. --- Ran the system for a few minutes, then drained and rinsed again. --- Did this a few more times over about an hour. - [1630]: Added 4 gallons of fresh distilled water. --- Added 15ml Sensi Grow A --- Added 15ml Sensi Grow B --- Added 12ml of B-52 --- Added 16ml of Voodoo Juice --- Added 16ml Sensizym --- Solution strength was at 430 PPMs --- PH was at 5.6 --- I was going to add Hydroguard, but I think the bottle is expired. Since 2017 or 2018!? I think Hydroguard is good for up to 2 years from the date on the bottle or 6 months after opening. So not going to use from now on. I wonder if this could have contributed to the slime build up. --- Also removed the CaliMagic and Superthrive too. Going to only use AN products to eliminate the chance of incompatible nutrients. --- Placed her back in the bucket and top fed for a minute. --- Here's hoping for the best. A lot has happened this week. After I watered the nettle manure, some of the leaves turned a little yellow. There seems to have been enough nitrogen left in the soil, so this week there was only pure water. Unfortunately, my supply of rainwater is pretty empty, so I topped up the tank with tap water. After I noticed that the roots were already coming out of the drainage holes, I thought it was time for another repotting. As you can see, the roots have spread well. This time the plant will be planted in the 55-litre end pot. I'm using a fabric pot from the brand Gronest. The soil is the same as for the first repotting. Here is the nutrient profile again. Floragard TKS 2 N 210 mg/L - P 240 mg/L - K 270 mg/L - Mg 70 mg/L - S 150mg/L After repotting, I defoliated the plant a little and attached plant hooks. I have looked for inspiration on the Internet and am trying to build up a good basic structure. As the pot size has changed, the watering quantity also had to be increased. I tried 8 litres this time every 2 to 3 days and nothing leaked out at the bottom. The weather was better again this week. The daytime temperatures fluctuate between 17 and 22 degrees. I'm happy with the weather so far, but it could still get a bit warmer. Especially at night.

Die Blütenansätze sind deutlich ausgeprägter, und sie zeigt bereits die typische Struktur für den Übergang in die Hauptblüte. * Die Milben-Situation: Dass du nur noch vereinzelte findest, ist ein gutes Zeichen, aber Vorsicht: Die Eier sind winzig. Behalte den Rhythmus für die zweite Solabiol-Behandlung unbedingt bei, um den Lebenszyklus zu brechen. * Klima: 24°C und 60–65% RLF sind absolut stabil. Da du jetzt mehr Luftfluss durch das Entlauben hast, ist das Risiko trotz der RLF geringer geworden. 2. Fahrplan: Lollipoppen & Letzte Entlaubung Wir befinden uns jetzt am Ende der ersten Stretch-Woche (BW1). * Lollipoppen: Der ideale Zeitpunkt ist Ende der 2. bis Anfang der 3. Blütewoche (ca. in 7–10 Tagen). * Warum? Dann ist der Stretch fast abgeschlossen und du siehst genau, welche Triebe es bis ans Licht geschafft haben und welche im Schatten "Popcorn-Buds" bilden würden. * Ziel: Alles im unteren Drittel (unter dem Netz), was kein Licht sieht, wird radikal entfernt. Das lenkt die gesamte Energie in die Main-Buds oben im Netz. * Letzte große Entlaubung: Das machen wir zeitgleich mit dem Lollipoppen. Danach lassen wir die Damen bis zur Ernte weitestgehend in Ruhe, um Stress zu vermeiden. 3. Lichtleistung erhöhen Da du aktuell bei 45% bist und die Damen den Stress (Entlaubung/Milben) gut weggesteckt haben: * Vorschlag: Wir erhöhen ab morgen (Montag) in 5%-Schritten alle 2-3 Tage. * Ziel: Bis zum Ende der nächsten Woche wollen wir bei ca. 60–65% landen. * Wichtig: Achte bei der TC auf die Blattspitzen. Wenn sie anfangen auszugleichen (gelbe/weiße Spitzen), bleib bei der aktuellen Prozentzahl stehen. 4. Nährstoffe (PK 13/14) Da die TC so deutlich führt: * TC: Ab morgen kannst du mit 0,5 ml/L PK 13/14 starten. * CC & AA: Da sie etwas hinterherhinken, würde ich bei ihnen noch 2–3 Tage warten oder nur eine "homöopathische" Dosis (0,25 ml/L) geben, um sie nicht zu überfordern.

Harvest time for this naught OG kush from FastBuds. Not a lot that have been harvested, but there was a lot of tests that took placed. one thing i focused on this grow is how this gall is gonna operate when temps reaches 5 degrees and lower at sleep time and throughout the whole grow, how wil she do with 35% humidity. It was not outdoor grow season here so the challenge was on. She dit super well and at the end showed off some of the best colours I've seen in a long time with a tricone production that is thumping to the eye. Outside season, with no of the perfect conditions, this girl ripped it out and impressed me. I didn’t focus on massive hield but looked at how she performs and how the end product looks. Only have 2 things too say, beautiful buds, thumping smoke! I realy appreciate the creation of this strain by fastbuds. Really recommend this girl for all growers and to grow in extreme weathers. Wow, hat wieder 8 cm zugelegt und ist nun bei 100cm angelangt. Meine größte Autoflower bisher, und mein erstes Outdoor Tagebuch. Super gesund, trinkt nun satte 3 Liter am Tag bei der Hitze. Heute habe ich das Autopot System abgeschaltet damit ich einen leichten Dryback bekomme. Denn morgen gibt es einen veganen Kompost Tee Mix (Microlife+Profimix von Bionova). Der Ventilator geht ab und zu mal an, ebenso die Luftpumpe mit dem Autopot Airdome. Die Wurzeln sind mittlerweile durch die Autopot Wurzelsperre durchgewachsen. Dürfte aber kein Problem sein solange sie nicht das ganze Tray einnehmen. Hoffentlich wird es in den kommenden 4 , 5 Wochen nicht regnerisch und zu feucht im Gewächshaus. Sonst stelle ich sie eben ins indoor Zelt rein.... Ich will auf jeden Fall eine Ernte haben, Strom habe ich ja auf jeden Fall gespart. Everything going okay ..

Week six of flower, the 1/2 way point, I might have been a little heavy handed on the bloom nuites this week back to back heavy feedings has given me some burn edges on one of the plants. The pots are still heavy from this weeks feeding. I put them on drain trays to help dry them out a little faster as I do not want root rot or PM, They are starting to stack up and bulk up so Ime gonna just water this week and check the run off to see where the PPM is I bet its high, so I will chime in in a few days and tell you what's up. I have spoken.

ｆｒｏｓｔｅｄ　ｇｕａｖａ ❄️ 🌱 Woche 9 von 10 – Ernte 🌱 Diese Woche ist es endlich soweit – die beiden hinteren Pflanzen werden geerntet. Rückblickend haben alle drei in den letzten Wochen nochmal ordentlich an Volumen und Gewicht zugelegt, wodurch sich das Warten definitiv gelohnt hat. Da die beiden hinteren Pflanzen in ihrer Entwicklung deutlich weiter sind als die vordere, werden sie nun zuerst geerntet. Die vordere Pflanze darf noch etwas länger reifen, weshalb ich dieses Grow Diary bis zu ihrer Ernte weiterführen werde. Besonders begeistert hat mich zum Ende hin das wunderschöne Farbenspiel der Buds. Genau solche Momente machen den gesamten Grow zu etwas Besonderem. Die beiden hinteren Pflanzen wurden vor der Ernte eine Woche lang ausschließlich mit Wasser gespült und sind jetzt bereit für den finalen Schritt. Ein großes Dankeschön geht an Green House Seeds für die gesponserten Seeds. Die Genetik hat mich auf ganzer Linie überzeugt und gehört für mich zu den besten, die ich bisher anbauen durfte. Day 56 - She grew 6cm this week. Growing well. Not much for me to do. Day 56 - Tent configuration changed: 4x more CREE CXB3590's have been added and 4x blurple LED things removed. Lights now consist of 8x CXB3590's & 1x 1000W HID with flower bulb.

Let's get ready to grow. I think I'm going to mainline this guy.

Flipped to flowering on these girls as the screens are now almost full across the 4x8 tent and we will still need to train them along the screens for the next 2-3 weeks. So working for a packed tent this time hopefully. Plants have been exploding in growth daily. Water was changed out and new water added with 3/4 Remo Flowering lineup and UC Roots at full strength. Smell is starting to get noticeable when you open the tent and is very pleasant.

😼Wk15: Surprise! This is the right time. 👉This week’s journal is only the days that lead up to the harvest which happened mid to late in the week. Since the harvest process takes more than a couple days, and it happened late in the week, I will be making one more week with the harvest process after the buds are dried to 20-25% (hopefully) and in jars. I should have all the final specs for the grow. 👉The 1 gallon plan was not even absorbing much fluid. The saturation volume of the media was getting smaller each day it seemed. It would take over 5 minutes to be able to pour 1.5 liters of solution into the pot. The run-off would also end very quickly as compared to all other plants I grew. I surmise this is due to the roots packing the pot and compressing the media very tightly, not allowing it to absorb much solution. The light sweet caramel aroma is now replaced by what I would call the strong generic funky stank of weed. While there is nothing extraordinary about the aroma, it’s so strong that you can smell it outdoors (its vented outside from second story window). Even with, medium to strong winds you can catch whiffs of it. Smells like heaven to me! Super frosty buds. Only a couple buds had any fresh calyx’s with white pistols. During my trichome hunting expeditions I see very few amber. But those are not what Im hunting. Im looking for the majority of the trichomes to be cloudy. I believe by mid-week all the buds had mostly cloudy trichomes with a few clears left. Harvest came on day the 3rd day of the week. 👉The 3 gallon plant was consuming less fluid. It was easy to fertigate it with 3l of water. The EC was spiking very quickly and would not come down very much. The run off would fall back in range but be above target the next fertigation event. I figured it may just be the densely packed roots in the pot. With the pH runoff going in the opposite direction as the 1 gallon plants run-off and I was wondering what was causing the difference. Even though the lowest leaves look a little like the plant was over watered, I continued the high volume of fertigations. I did reduce the EC somewhat. I was giving it week 10 mix on the GHE mix chart for drain to waist mix. The leaves looked crappy, but the buds were looking awesome. The plant had the same light creamy caramel aroma when sniffed up close, but the strong aroma of stanky funk was the permeating odor that filled room. I had only done some light scouting for the trichomes on the plant and each time saw more cloudy tips. I wasn’t sure but by Tuesday the trichomes looked at least 50/50, which is a little further along than I thought it would be. After harvesting the 1 gallon plant I had room to pull the plant out and rotate it and give it an exhaustive scan for a more complete idea of how much time it had. When I rotated it, I didn’t notice it at first. Then I focused on it as the top of a cola was brown and the leaves around it were all dried. “Oh fuck!” I shouted. It was like someone had walked up behind me and jabbed me in the ribs and yelled "BOO"! I was startled and even jumped out of my chair. I then did a double and triple take to make sure my eyes weren’t being grizzled or bent. I then grabbed the branch cutters and took that branch. I searched the cola and it was isolated to the top 3 inches of this fat pine cone. I snipped it below that group of bud and removed it from the house, took it out back in the field and stabbed it, shot it and set it on fire (only in my imagination). I then washed and sanitized my hands, returned to the tent and inspected some of the larger colas, pulling them apart and looking to the center for nasty pestilence. Fortunately I didn’t see any. I didn’t have time to harvest it right then and there, but I did on Friday night. I knew I wasn’t out of danger yet though. These buds are pine cones and very dense. I was afraid Id see the same thing I saw in my Critical purple and lose all the best buds. I wouldn’t know until the harvest was complete, with the buds curing in the jars. 🙀
