Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. She hasn't grown up, but she's filling out quite nicely. Looked at others growing Criteria Kush (CK photos) and noticed the growth of plant just before they put into flower. My husband decided thats what we are doing. He put up a trellis and we will use this to help during flowering. She seems happy and content. I hope she stretches and flowers nicely. Wow what a week this has been, the plants have all undergone fair dramatic changes. A real flurry of leaf yellowing, pistil darkening/curling, and bug swelling. The smell is really coming along now, I think we're really quite close to harvest. On the assumption that pre-flowering was two weeks, this strain should be ready at the end of week seven flowering, so in the case of this diary the end of week nine (i.e. one week to go!). Pistils are about 70-80% amber, and the lower pistils on buds have started curling inward. Trichomes look to me to be something like 10% clear 80% Milky 10% White. I have smoke tested a small bud off the lower part of plant 3 today after quick-drying overnight in the airing cupboard, taking into consideration the obvious chlorophyll from the fast dry, the high was much closer to what I am expecting than the last smoke test. It came on at the normal pace, was quite effective, and lasted a good while. I am really hoping I can navigate my way through the next process, as I feel quite close now to having some home grown bud for the first time. The plants are being well watered this evening with just water, and this will be the last time that I water them until harvest. I will continue to monitor these daily, I intend to harvest at the first sign of any amber trichome. Advice and comments welcomed. P.S. Exciting news! Setup has begun! Teeny tiny bonsai hydro is goin' down here. Comparing Mephisto autos in soil hybrid and hydro (DWC). I'm running a 1.9L mason jar with a 3" net pot that fits perfectly under the lid. Found a tiny air feed and bubbler perfect for this setup. Spray painted the mason jar purple... but in a garage near freezing so the paint job was kinda crap. Might paint over it with gloss white or black. Planning to use General Hydroponics 3 part, with Hydroguard for the fact that room temp is often high enough to worry about. Fun will be had. 8 tight little colas is the idea. Really hoping the bright Pink of the genetics will come through!

I’ve seen some amazing veg growth this week.These beautiful girls have been getting some LST all week and have developed lots of new colas.I have been watering around every 3-4 days plain water last two waterings so recharge will be added when the pots are dry.They have done extremely well taking in the Gaia green 4-4-4 and have huge fan leaves. Day 32 These girls are still showing lot of growth and I noticed the first sign of flower development with the Lemon cherry cookies.I top dressed with Gaia green 4-4-4 1 tbs and 3 tbs of Gaia green power bloom.Rubbed gently in the soil and watered with recharge tea.Spider farmer Se7000 dialed in at 50 percent and I leave it there for another week or so.I have not done any defoliation but they really need it as they are getting really bushy.

9/5: I hope to successfully germinate all 15 of the Fastbuds seeds that I bought along with the 2 freebie Blackberry beans I was given by the nice folks at Hipersemillas.com. I'm also germinating 4 x Sweet Seeds Dark Devils that will be managed in a separate diary. I am keeping it really simple this run and am using my new DWC cloner to germinate. I made up 3 gallons of a de-chlorinated water in a strong solution of Endoboost Hydro and added 1/4 tsp of Superthrive per gallon. I adjusted the Ph to 6.0 and let the pump and aerator cycle the res for a few hours. I put rapid rooters into 1.25" net pots and ensured that the water level was high enough so as to just touch the bottoms of the rooters. About 10 minutes later the rooters were all nice and damp, so I planted and prayed. I've just got a 9w pinkish grow light mounted about 5 inches above the rooters, but once they are rooted well, I'll move them into a 1020 tray with dome under 65w of mixed spectra lighting with supplemental blues. Once they've got a couple sets of leaves, I'll plant the rooters in some half-gallon biodegradable fabric bags and move them into my tiny tent under a pair of mixed spectrum QB's. They'll have to stay in there until my current run of photo clones is done in the closet. Once space opens up in the closet, I'll plant those biodegradable bags into 3 gallon pots and move them in. Hopefully in the next 2 weeks....🙏 9/7 (a.m.): Thus far, I've just got one each of Wedding Cheesecake, Strawberry Pie, and Lemon Pie emerging... 9/9: All but one Lemon Pie are up and growing. The problem child may yet fully emerge..her cotyledons are opening up, but they're just below the surface. I caught some rainwater today and pre-watered all the 1/2 gallon degradable fabric starter pots with it. My photo clones still have a couple weeks left, so the timing should be right for me to move these seedlings into the tiny tent in a few days and plant them in the starter pots...and 12-15 days later I'll plant the starter pots into some new 3 gallon fabric pots I've already got filled and waiting. This batch of soil I'll be using has been cooking since late March, and the rhizosphere is fully rocking. I also treated all my soil this summer with Beauveria Bassiana, Metarhizium Anisopliae, and Azamax to ensure I have no pestilence to deal with, so I'm optimistic that this will be a successful grow.😁 9/0: I planted up all but one Lemon Pie in 1/2 gallon degradable pots and moved them into the tiny tent under 240w of mixed spectra quantum boards.

Thanks for swinging by and checking out the grow so far! So this week we are switching to flowering and taking a flood cycle out of the feeding schedule. The hydro plants are catching up to the soil plants and the tent is really starting to fill out ! Me and my partner have been keeping up on the training and were very happy with the results. I think we achieved the canopy look we were shooting for, so time to flower !! Were still following the floral series feeding scheduled within reason. The soil plants still have a little burn on the tips but we were overfeeding them, newbie mistake, but were flushing them with fresh water to give them a break. We cant wait to see the what happened in the weeks to come. Waiting to see what kind of stretch we get from them. EDIT:: mid week. The plants still have a great growth rate and are noticeably different every day. We went ahead and pulled them out of the buckets and gave them a good trimming before they get through the net. LST is paying off, we have a bunch of top growth so hopefully we get the sea of green look were going for.

Few weeks left for this girl for its normal harvest window but I think shes a month off finishing but we'll see 👌

Day 63 - lookin good.... haha.... um, tanks stabilized, ph 5.8 - ppm 1200 .... she's feedin alot..... buds are fillin and lotsa white furries.... listed the nutes and amounts etc.., but i'm kinda feeding her as she needs.... so every few days she is drinking 2 lts +- and i'm just mixing up a neut solution in a 2 lt bottle every day or 2 ..... sometimes she just wants abit of water...... Flowering day 37 since time change to 12/12 h. Hey everyone ☺️. It gets more beautiful from week to week 😍👍. As usual from this phenotype, everything is black / purple again on this beautiful Pheno 😊. The buds are getting thicker and thicker and already smell extremely tasty 😍. Next week I'll go up a bit with the Ec and add some Pk 13/14. Like every 12-15 days, the water was completely replaced and all electronic devices checked for safety 👍.
