Day 67, new grower mistake: been flushing for roughly 3 weeks+, backed of the nutrients when the light burn started weeks ago because of fear of stunting the plant, noticed the fall colors starting 2 weeks and figured I would be close enough to harvest but unfortunately I was wrong. This LSD just wants to keep growing; still throwing out new white hairs with almost 60/40 orange to white hair ratio, and mostly cloudy trichomes but not too many Amber. In a perfect world I'd let it go another 1-2 weeks, but going into the 4th week of flushing, the dead leaves are getting too close to the main colas for my liking, I decided to do a partial harvest of the main top colas, and lower my lights a few inches to hopefully beef up the smaller buds that have been further from the light and are further behind then the main colas . I now know the importance of checking trichomes before starting flush and understanding the need for nutrients all the way through flower.

At the beginning of this week, I have been fighting the gnats, which are less and less now. Just some watering and gradually lowering the light and going to full power. The Orange Hill Special has been filling out great and I must say, she is a pretty plant. With some manual bending and super cropping, I'm bending the longer stalks sideways and we are off. What I actually do is more of an intuitive hybrid between mainlining (where I bend the whole plant 90 degrees at the third week), LST (where I bend branches outward slightly, without tying), HST / Super crop (where I bend the stems 90 degrees with the clips or manually), after which I keep bending outward to SOG and, put the net over to end in SCROG. This same method gave me the canopy in my prize-winning Gelato 33 grow. Check it out if you haven't seen it, it was my first experimental accident that led to beta test of Super Soil mixture 0.7, now we are at Alpha version 1.00 and testing great so far if I say so myself. I haven't seen such lush greens in my own grows, only outdoor. They seem uber-healthy and resilient, with very sturdy stems and leaves. Way more resilient than previous strains I tested in the beta soil. The light is performing, the natural color of it makes everything pop. Mars Hydro has a winner with the SP-3000. Halfway through this week, I took the clips out, AND...... we switched them to go into flowering. After a day the stretch is already visible. I had to bend them again after a couple of days. Now we have almost a tent filling foundation for a maximum result canopy of buds. I was wanting to amend the soil with flowering additions (see recipe in yellow image), but I'm holding it off for two reasons. A/ The leaves are still so green and lush, I think there is an abundance of nutes. B/ @Haoss mentions his suspicions on his OHS grow (@#CannapediaProGrowersCup Orange Hill that very sadly went hermie on him) that nutrition in this phase could have had an influence, after asking what happened to him. I would have loved to see that grow to full harvest. But it makes me a bit cautious. if Haoss (whom I consider to be one of the star growers here) couldn't prevent this, what chance have I? I'm waiting until the girls start asking for nutrients. They'll show me what they need in their own time. For now this soil is the shizzle (also quite literally) and Im happy with how everything is going. I remember much more hassle and steering in the last grow. This grow, even the Gorilla runt seems happy. I now water them 3 liters of water / Perma tea mixture every 4 days, every 3rd watering I don't do the tea. This makes for fewer gnats and this soil seems to hold water nicely, also due to the hydro corn. What I like is there is always some unforeseen circumstance, a tilt of the tables, some battle to be fought which delivers in big harvests or, in worst case, no harvest at all. It makes it more exciting, when your heart is at stake, we pour a lot of love and attention in the ladies. So with hopes, but not too high, we go into flowering. Mintz Runtz automatic has been growing great up until the last 2 days she showed some spotting on the leaves. I did a solution change today. So that should be resolved. I will also be adding the Elufah Saturn 240 under canopy light when she starts stretching. I did lst the top several days ago. The plant is growing very compact at the moment. Hopefully she stretches out and fills the tent by the end. Defoliation complete. These ladies got a little spank this morning. But they always respond well after. They are ready to Flower now. First long hours of lights off have commenced...I am counting up to 20 colas per plant on the 3 Cali OG Amnesia Haze X and 10-15 per plant on the Blue Cookies going into this. This will only increase in the coming weeks due to defoliation that was just done. I have been aggressively LST training and defoliating every day because of growth up to this point.

Everything going good switch to light schedule of 11/13 for flower on 02/08/20. Heard it brings more of phenotype out of your strain. Than your traditional 12/12 schedule. Haven't did any feeding since I transplanted from 3 gal to 7 gal fabric pot. Will start back feeding with nftg in another week or so. Currently under 2 1600watt phlizon full spectrum light with veg and bloom on.

Transplant time! Got this girl into a five gallon container with added mycos and bacteria. My custom mix is coco and perlite with added amendments, worm Castings and purple cow soil. I add dolomite lime on top and mix it in. They got a small watering. She is growing strong and healthy

Start of week 10, she's being fed only water as she will be chopped by the end of the week. I took some fan leaves off, as I've read it makes the plant believe it's being eaten by an animal and will push for more trichomes to daze the animal to not find its back back, can't hurt 😂

Harvested #2, 40/60 amber to cloudy trichome ratio, couldn't weigh wet 25/10/24 - Harvested #1, 50/50 amber to cloudy trichome ratio Haven't weighed #2 final dry weight yet, still in the process of trimming #2 final dry weight: 273.9g, just under 10 ounces. 02/11/24 - #1 is dry, haven't had time to trim, in jars until I have time. Estimate #1 will yield more then #2 #1 final dry weight: 351.8g, 12.5 ounces 625.7g total off both plants #2 has better bag appeal, smell is very floral and piney. #1 is not as nice looking in appearance but takes the win for smell, has a strong skunk smell, get a whiff of cat piss whenever the jars are opened as well. Was very prevalent in the final week of flower, kept thinking the cats had got into the room and peed somewhere. Overall happy with the results.

Did some minor defoliation, and added final nutes before flush. Although stunted in veg, the outer two smaller plants are flowering well, thickening up, and smelling dank af... the center largest plant is still dealing with some type of deficiency that's been very difficult for me to diagnose. It's still chugging along with lots of bud spots, but the kolas aren't nearly as thick and seem like they might turn out larfy. It's also drinking the same amount of water much more slowly than the other two smaller plants... kinda strange right? Ps. I kinda f-ed up the compost tea and fed it to the plants before knowing it... I let the tea brew for 72 hours and should have stopped at 48 hours... plants didn't seem to mind too much though (I don't think the center plant's deficiencies have anything to do with the overripe tea.) and don't pay any mind to my nute percentages, I can't deal with that rn 😂

Girls are looking great so far! I added about 2ml/g to the reservoir and the plants responded well. Got a good explosion of growth over the last few days. I was able to start LST training the largest of the 4 today and the other 3 will be a day or 2 until they will be ready to start LST. Had some Ph issues during week 4 because my pen decided to go wonky. I tried to calibrate it again and had a hard time. So I busted out an older one and decided to calibrate it and see if it worked still... calibrated in a few min and sure enough res ph was well bellow 5. So water was changed as it was time anyway and ph’d proper just before lights out so we will see what happens tomorrow.

Started off week 6 off by adding 5ml of Flying Skull Z7 to reservoir and adjusted reservoir PH to 6.0. I've got the blumats nearly dialed in and keep making small adjustments every 24 hours. I am holding off a few days on the nutrients to see what the plant tells me. The clawing seems to have improved(combo of over watering and not getting runoff on hand watered nutrients I believe). When I apply nutrients going forward I will make sure there is plenty of runoff so I don't repeat the same mistakes. 😬 on day 2 I applied 1 gal of nutrients and watered until runoff. On day 3 I defoliated the bottom of my plants to improve the air flow. On day 6 I added 5ml of flying skull Z7 to the reservoir. I noticed a possible calcium deficiency on one plant so on day 7 I applied my 1 gal of nutrients with the addition of calmag and silica. Ive only used calmag once growing in coco and it burned my plants...so I assumed there was enough from my tap water and nutrients. I know this goes against all advice.. I think it finally caught up with me LOL.LIve and learn to buffer your coco. Next grow I will buy buffered coco and use a calmag product 😅 I defoliated the center of my plants to increase airflow and expose light deeper into the canopy.

They are 45 and 50 cm Both of them look pretty, each one is different from the other but they are beautiful 😍 Taller still being fat, her leaves are turning darker and i like it. The smaller have more branches, so i think in the end they both will yield about the same, or maybe smaller yields more. Let's see. Both plants don't look like other diaries i've been following 😯 They have a strong fruity sweet smell, But not as strong as PE. Watered yesterday with nutrients, i'm not sure if keep feeding them or not. I guess if i give them one more week (maybe cut them on feb 11) their colas may gain some weight, specially lower buds. She's really starting to fill out at each nug site, pistil hairs are still vibrant white and an intoxicating citrus/melon smell has taken over the grow tent! Still feeding at an EC of 2 and keeping the pH around 5.5-5.8. Leaf health is good for the most part and I did add a small under canopy fan to keep air moving through the plant. Plant shows no signs of senescence at this point so let's keep it going!
