Week 7: [16/12/20 - 22/12/20] [17/12/20]: Sprayed down all plants with Neem Oil as I started to have some Fungus Gnats which usually are not an issue but their numbers started increasing.

Day 7 - Everything seems to be going ok they are all growing about the same pace! Day 8 - They are all growing pretty equal right now , extremely happy with how things are going!✌️🏼🌱 Day 11 - one plant has some twisted leaves hopefully it’s nothing serious😫 will be keeping a eye on her, other than that they all seem to be growing great! Thanks for following & happy growing friends!✌️🏼🌱 Day 13 - have a few with some weird leaves & growing a little slow, other 3 are growing pretty good! Hopefully they all do alright, fingers crossed! Hello. This is the end of week 8 and the beginning of week 9 of flowering. I've stopped closing up the tent at nights now. The plants are so far along in flowering they won't turn back to veg, even with the neighbor's lights on. So I'm not in there twice a day now. So I was a little surprised to find spider mites. The grow was going so good I thought I missed the bugs this year. But they showed up. I bought a Hypochlorous Acid Generator last year last year early so I was prepared. I used it at full strength last year for spider mites and I got yellow leaves after a couple of weeks. I guess the leaves got a bit fried at full strength. So this year I'm trying it at 1/2 strength with a drop of dish soap to help choke those dam spider mites. It's a little pricey, but I'm hoping to get years of use out of it, to make up for the price. Everything else is going good in here. Started flushing yesterday with PH adjusted tap water. The tap water used to be at 6.5 ph for years, but the water counsel found out that 7.5 ph water is better for you. So I have to adjust it. It's 1 drop of ph down per gallon and it makes it 5.7 ph. water. It will be 2 weeks more of flushing and then harvest. With the Panty Punch male plant ... I've seeded 1 branch of each plant and I've pollenated 4 clones too. They are - The White, Amnesia Lemon, Critical OG and Pink Kush. I'll send you some free good regular seeds if you want to do a diary on them. I learn from your diaries so I can improve my breeding technics. So if you would like some free seeds, privet message me and we can chat about them. I send them in a Christmas card with an international stamp. It cost me about 3 dollars Canadian. I don't mind. Muy buenas amig@s!! Me encanta el olor que desprende esta cepa! Esta en su fase de engorde y se nota por dias. Lleva 16 dias a 12/12 horas ya que las tengo con feminizades y les cambie el fotoperiodo

The cryptochrome photoreceptor (CRY) is a UV-A/blue light receptor that shares this dual sensitivity with several other biological structures and functions, including significant sequence similarity and a common evolutionary ancestor with DNA photolyase enzymes. These are light-activated enzymes that use blue/UV-A light to repair DNA damage caused by UV-B radiation in plants. Dodecahedrane (C20H20) is a hydrocarbon with a cage-like structure where carbon atoms form 12 pentagonal faces (a regular dodecahedron). It is highly symmetric (icosahedral), contains no delocalized electrons (no aromaticity), and has minimal angle strain, but significant torsional strain. Water Dodecahedron (H2O) forms hydrogen-bonded cages. While individual hydrogen bonds in this structure are weaker than in the linear dimer or tetramer, it has a more negative total energy per molecule. This is because three-quarters (75%) of the groups are involved in hydrogen bonding, creating a very stable, closed-shell configuration. a 3D carbon hydrocarbon (C20H20) to stable water clusters in hydrate, while the Magnesium ion acts as the central activator within a conjugated ring in biological systems, with its electronic absorption dominated by the ring, not the atom itself. Effective quantum efficiency of photosystem II, often denoted as ΦPSII In horticultural lighting, adding 730 nm (far-red) LEDs alongside standard red/blue lights has been shown to increase canopy photosynthesis by 20–30% in several crops by acting synergistically with shorter wavelengths. However, the limitation is that excessive, pure IR/Far-red light (without accompanying red light) can trigger the "shade avoidance response," causing plants to grow tall, weak, and spindly rather than robust. Knowing is half the battle however, engineering or utilizing infrared light (specifically the 700-750 nm far-red range) is a viable method to boost photosynthetic efficiency. It acts as a bridge to allow PSII to utilize a broader spectrum of light, breaking the traditional 700 nm barrier. Extend, then multiply. UVR8-mediated signaling (often in conjunction with CRY proteins) triggers protective mechanisms that maintain the stability of the photosynthetic apparatus (including LHCII and reaction center proteins), thus ensuring that the efficiency of Photosystem II remains higher in UV-B-exposed plants compared to plants lacking this receptor. ΦPSII indictates the rate of electron transfer from water to plastoquinone, which drives the production of ATP and NADPH. There is a close link between ΦPSII and the true rate of CO2 fixation (Φ*co2), particularly in C4 plants. Effective quantum efficiency of photosystem II, often denoted as ΦPSII, represents the proportion of light absorbed by Photosystem II (ΦPSII) that is actually used in photosynthetic electron transport. It is a key indicator of how efficiently a plant is using light for photosynthesis, as opposed to losing it as heat or fluorescence. ΦPSII (effective quantum yield of photosystem II) functions primarily as a "multiplier" (a coefficient of efficiency) rather than an additive factor when estimating the overall photosynthetic electron transport rate (ETR). Multipliers are considered far more beneficial than additions because they generate exponential growth, leverage existing resources to their full potential, and create sustainable, self-multiplying capacity, rather than just incremental, linear increases. Humans, and most other mammals, rely on other mechanisms, such as nucleotide excision repair, to manage and repair UV-induced DNA damage. As such, humans do not have the direct, light-driven repair mechanism that photolyase offers in plants.

Harvest day! Cut her down at day 73 from seed. 170g wet off one plant, not a heavy yielder, but this particular pheno just grew that way. Buds are super compact, stacked calyxes, minimal sugar leaves, honestly a pleasure to trim. Smell is floral but complex and hard to pin down, not a typical profile. Can’t wait to see what she’s like after cure. ✂️🌸

So apparently my camera does not seem to know what shade green it wants to use. Red Pop #4 is without a doubt the strangest specimen in the group. It is displaying what appears to be polyploid traits in one of its tops. Along with a strange trait displayed by the petioles in attaching to the main stem in a vertical manner causing leave to grow vertically instead of horizontally. It also needs far more nutrients than the rest as it has grown much larger despite bending the main stem 90 degrees at two seperate points. Red pop #2 is a midget and has grown very weak. On a more positive note, I have fixed my humidity issue and now average around 55%. Airflow was the issue. not enough air intake into the tent. Silly me.

Hi everyone! The plants are going nicely. All of them were topped on Day 14. Started giving 2ml of Advanced Nutrients Grow, Micro, Bloom - They took it very well. Amnesia Haze - I'm going to mainline this plant with 2 branches only Apricot - Got stretched more than other plants, so I started doing LST on Day 16. Other plants - I'm going to mainline and test with 4 and 6 branches. For now, Im gonna let the branches grow a bit to maintain even canopy. Temp doesn't go up more than 27-28 which is perfect at day and at night, goes down at 21 around. Humidity day 55%, night 75%. Happy growing! ----- UPDATE Day 18 - Did some adjustments on the LST on day 17 and day 18. had a surprise guest in one of the pots but now we are good (the video) 👽

Blütewoche 10: Die letzten Tage Zeitraum: 24.07. bis 28.07. Blütetag: 63 bis 67 Nach rund 9,5 Wochen Blüte war es so weit, Erntezeit! Die Trichome hatten genau das Verhältnis erreicht, das ich mir gewünscht hatte. Ich hab mir meine Japansäge geschnappt und die King Juice kurzerhand am Stamm durchtrennt. Danach hab ich sie vorsichtig samt ScrOG-Netz aus dem Zelt gehoben und sie mitten im Wohnzimmer platziert. Erst da wurde mir das ganze Ausmaß bewusst. Eine richtig große Pflanze, viele Triebe und eine Menge schöner, harziger Buds. Die Headbuds oben waren kompakt und groß, weiter unten gab’s viele kleinere Popcornbuds aber auch die waren fest und klebrig. Nach rund 4 Stunden Trimmen hing das ScrOG-Netz wieder im Zelt, dieses Mal verkehrtherum und vollgepackt mit den einzelnen Ästen. Ein regelrechter Himmel aus Buds 😍 Die Trocknung lief optimal, Temperaturen lagen konstant bei 20–21 °C und die Luftfeuchtigkeit zwischen 54–65 %. Nach 10 Tagen habe ich die Buds am 07.08. final abgenommen. Optik: Kompakte, daumengroße Buds, viele kleine Harzbomben mit lila Farbtönen Geruch & Geschmack: Fruchtig, süß, würzig, pfeffrig. Wirkung: Sie knallt gut, ist aber trotzdem klar im Kopf. Sehr angenehm! Fazit: Ich bin mega zufrieden mit dem gesamten Grow. Keine Ausfälle, kaum Mängel, Temperaturen und LF meistens stabil und das Beet hat wirklich gut funktioniert. Die Pflanze hat sich wunderbar an ScrOG angepasst, und ich konnte mir damit echt einen kleinen Traum erfüllen. Eine Pflanze komplett durchziehen, schön ausgebreitet im Zelt. genau so hab ich mir das vorgestellt. Es hat richtig viel Spaß gemacht! 😊 Die Vorbereitungen für den nächsten Run laufen bereits, das Beet wird wieder frisch begrünt und ich freu mich auf den nächsten Grow!!! Nachträgliches Update nach 10 Monaten: Die King Juice wurde am 28.07.2025 geerntet und anschließend über 10 Tage langsam im Zelt getrocknet. Bereits während der Trocknung entwickelte sich ein extrem intensiver Geruch mit süßen, fruchtigen und leicht cremigen Noten. Nach dem anschließenden Curing zeigte die Sorte ein sehr rundes und starkes Gesamtprofil. Eine spätere Messung mit dem Purpl Pro erreichte das Sample starke 26 % THC bei einer Restfeuchtigkeit von 8,9 % und einer Wasseraktivität von 0,4 AW. Über die Monate hinweg haben sich Geruch und Geschmack zwar etwas abgeschwächt, sind aber weiterhin deutlich vorhanden und sehr angenehm. Die ursprüngliche extreme Intensität ist etwas zurückgegangen, dafür wirkt das Aroma heute reifer, weicher und harmonischer. Geschmacklich bleibt die Sorte süß, leicht fruchtig und sehr smooth. Das Rauchgefühl ist mittlerweile außergewöhnlich angenehm geworden – fast so, als würde man eine warme Wolke inhalieren. Sehr weich, gar nicht kratzig und insgesamt extrem entspannt zu rauchen. Die Wirkung ist dagegen bis heute unverändert stark geblieben. King Juice liefert einen intensiven, langanhaltenden Effekt mit deutlicher körperlicher Entspannung und gleichzeitig starker mentaler Wirkung. Insgesamt hat sich die Sorte auch nach langer Lagerzeit hervorragend gehalten und zählt definitiv zu den stärkeren und qualitativ hochwertigeren Ernten meiner bisherigen Grows. 😋

hello guys... welcome back to queen peaky's diaries and gardens! this cultivation didn't go quite as I wanted... my girls started flowering very early... and the results were... soil and nutrients thrown away for a very poor crop... we can....and we will do better!

Growing really fast and beautiful, off to a great start. I cant wait to see wedding cake auto flourish with buds. I hear great things about Barney's Farm so I am excited to grow these seeds out.

So this final week the buds on this Orange Hill Special are filling out. They are getting rock solid and the calyxes are doing their final swelling. Also, the trichomes have started forming and up close, they are forming a white sticky film over the whole bud. The buds feel heavy and compact, although their size could have been bigger but not complaining with this amount of bud. I have just been feeding some perma tea and clean water since this soil is probably very high in nutes by now. I had some brown leaf points so just adjusted and all was fine. Now we go into the final one or two weeks. I did some final defoliation to expose some underside buds, they are swelling too. Removed some sticky underside larf, kept it in a box to gradually dry for a preliminary taste test coming days. Sunshine and me wish you a very merry Christmas (check our Christmas video) and hope we have more freedom next year instead of less and wish you all bountiful harvests!
