Very easy to grow in hydro, I did what I have done before, and did minimal defoliation. The plant drops some lower leaves herself as we go along anyway, as they begin to receive minimal light penetration. Northern lights had a shape that made it easy to grow with my light setup. The bigger buds were produced in the areas of the side lights, and let it also be known my harvest could have become a tad bigger if I hadn't picked off small buds and smoked them in the very end - must account for at least 30-40g or so, dunno precisely tho. The weed works like the usual homemade jazz, top notch. Top shelf. Northern lights did not disappoint, but I have pulled bigger yields of a White Rhino for example, made in the same manner. This is why it only get 8/10 stars. It simply lose two stars on yield, but the Rhino would also only have gotten eight stars, because it had deficiency problems on its own for example where this northern lights lady had zero deficiency probs - very stable plant. Recommended for both beginners and seasoned growers who are on the lookout for stable strains.

First day of week three so topped today and gave them a half dose of Hesi TNT . Looking good so far so I'm happy. Light running at lowest setting.

Week 3 of flower I found a hermie, not sure wether it’s pollinated all of them but it definitely got one in the back, treated it only time will tell no obvious pollination signs

Hey all! this week both ladys are going good just the left plant started to yellow on the leaf tips so i don't know what that might be but we are in late flower anyways i guess! everytime i enter this room i smell these fruity terps and its really nice, the right plant also is producing lots of trichomes under the leafes hehe👽 happy growing all!💚✌️😎

What can I say that the journal doesn't already. A massive yield for a 1ftx1ft area in my 4x4 tent. Tons of frost. Sticky as possibly can be (my scissors hate me, but love acetone today)

End of day 77! Harvest time :)

This week all the plants started to take off in flower. Buds swelling up by the day. Stopped feeding flower burst and added Pk9-18 and advanced meta boost to aid with flowering. Smell has started to increase but not to potent as of yet. EC also increased to 1.6 for increased demand in flower. Also stopped spraying IPM this week as it don't want it to effect the bud smell or taste come harvest.

I'm 90% sure this one is in her finishing week here. More amber trichromes are coming in daily. I don't wanna push her too far like last time because this strain turned pure amber and kinda lost some crystaly luster during the curing process. My light timer, grow tent, and light upgrades really made a big difference in bud development compared to my last run with Runtz basically leading to bigger more frostier buds. I'm dropping temps lower at night. I give it a couple liters a day to keep the top soil moist. Flushed water comes out 6.8 ish. My CO2 exhale bag was the biggest flop as it was expired and did not activate. I plan on 48 hours darkness before harvest starting today: the day of the eclipse. With the new moon we have a high pressure system that is peaking at night around 1028 dB. Water should be pushed up into the plant from roots. Coupled with lights out....all theoretical witch craft. I have a small 2x2 dark tent pictured which needs to have AC bring in cold fresh air from outside. If no fresh air added the tent gets humid and stagnant after a while. The darkness period is bringing out that strong and sweet 'medicinal' smell. If you ever tried weed labeled medicinal youd have an idea of what I mean. I guess thats the orange bud/chemo lineage traits. Before lights off the smell was more towards yeast fermentation smell and not soo sweet.

This is the start of my second grow and also second Northern Light Auto from RQS, the goal is to hit #1 in g/plant for that Strain. I didn't take as many notes as in the last grow but there are timelapses, some photos and metrics from probes. Started with 3 Seeds and then picked the 2 strongest. The System is a NFT System but due to the size of the tube and root growths the solution with submerge the roots ~70% later on. To combat that I use 3 small 1.5w air pumps, these are super silent, if one dies I got 2 more running and to be honest air pumps used in DWC systems are often oversized and rely on Broscience. In my Salad/Herb NFT Systems I don't use any air pumps and the plants are just fine and grow great. This time I added sprinklers to humidify the air inside the tube, slightly moisturize the Rockwool and speed up root growths. Spoiler: Was a great success :) The ratios for the fertilizers are not accurate in the following weeks, I have a 120l Reservoir that is filled 90-110l I top it up once or twice a week to sustain PH and EC, if you want to copy it just go by the EC and use the B (Calcinit) and A (Kristalon Blue/Orange) 50/50. I mix the solution myself with dry salts that I bought in bulk 25kg bags. 4l Water(distilled/RO preferably, tap water is OK) + 1kg salts mixes just fine, keep the solution dark and cool and it will stay stable for months. Dry salts don't expire if kept cool and dry so only mix what you need and keep the rest stored as dry salts. 40ml A + 40ml B is about 2EC and 6PH with my tap water, very similar to Canna, Plagron etc. isn't it? just with the twist that I pay ~20% of the known brands. P2O5, K2O, MgO etc. are always the same as long as they are produced by a good manufacturer, Yara is a world leader in fertilizer production just not to be found in you general hydroponics or hardware store. Any other known manufacturer is fine as well, pick the cheapest. Check Hoocho on Youtube to see a guide on how to mix your own solutions, it ain't that difficult trust me. From week 5 onwards I also use Oxygen granulate (KMPS, CAS-70693-62-8, 2KHSO₅ * KHSO₄ * K₂SO₄) if you want to use this check pool supply stores and buy the cheapest. Keep this one dry, cool and dark. I used a old pill bottle to keep some ready to go because it came in a 1kg container and I only need 2-4g per serving + the bottle has a silica pack in the cap. From week 6 onwards I used Haifa Grow Clean for Details check week 6, I use this one as dry salts and add it directly to the tank, it does not interact in a bad way with the solution. For meassurements I use a generic 8in1 Meter "PH-W218" branded by many companies, as usual, check stores and buy the cheapest. (Check week 1 for an image of it) I got mine from Aliexpress for ~70€ it uses the Tuya app so you can always check your metrics and export them aswell. The PH and EC probe are accurate and are giving me stable results for almost 1 year now, I re calibrate the PH probe once in a while and it is tops 0.15 off after a month, always double check your results with PH drops/paper. Bluelab is... A LOT more expensive for less value. For the timelapses I use 2 Tappo C210 2k Cameras, these have the ability to make the stream available trough RTSP so that you can access it trough a link in a browser and that way I snap a Screenshot with a raspberry pi :) after that I just render it with blender to a timelapse. 18.12.2025 It won't last any longer for harvesting. She is covered by many trichomes and the main amount is milky already. I'm checking on her every day now and I think she'll be ready very soon. Her pollinized bud is looking really funny, like creating a second bud out of the first. Really unique to me. So, still in progress but not for too long! Looking forward 🌸

Wanted to keep her growing until the end of the month but, mother nature had other plans. Woke up this morning and the buds where almost touching the ground. Still have 1/2 the plant left, will cut fown later today if more rain. Don’t have room to cure all at one time. Normally I cure outside, for now they’re in my bathroom and dressing room.😬Don’t know the wet weight for now since only cut 1/2 of the plant, but probably a good 4 or more kilos!😳 Finally, the sun has returned. Not hot though, but nice and sunny. Moved curing to outside for now. Last night we stayed high just from the aroma in the house. More to come when she dries.😍 Last plant totalled 2,005grams. 3 plant total 3,340 grams 😎

starting to get some height on them! and tiny small buds UPDATE: my lower leaves are yellow and crispy all of a sudden look like theyve died, im in panic mode, i've attached a video! how can i fix this? also the same plant has started flower but is very under developed compare to the 3 others in flower?

What up fam, weekly update on these ladies. So far they've dealt with the heat like champs. Thankfully I got my AC fixed and it's back up and running. So thank God as we're having a heat wave still with day temps in the high 90's. They're getting fed 16oz of fed daily. It's looking like maybe another week or two before they'll get harvested. All in all Happy Growing.

Back to the Grow PH was at 7 when the pots were dry and returns to 6.5 after the feeding. I'll let the foliage build one more time so I can transplant into their 7 gal pots for flowering, this will add a tremendous amount of new fresh soil for the roots to thrive in during the early budding stage lights up to 95w about 60% on the dimmer. Am Tag 60 wurde auf 12 / 12 umgestellt, also gehen wir jetzt in die erste volle Blüte Woche 😄 Beide machen sich gut und sind jetzt 70 cm groß. Die Kush ist etwas pflegeleichter und genügsamer als die Gushers, die etwas zickiger zu sein scheint. Mal schauen wer sich jetzt mehr streckt 📏😁✌️

The best indoor yielder i have ever had (with my setup) very sticky

Pineapple Express kept stretching this week to just under 4 feet tall. She smells amazingly like freshly cut pineapples. She was stretching past the light and I decided to super crop her and net her down. So far she seems to have dealt well to the damage. I’m hoping it won’t effect my yield too much but I know it will a bit. Bud development seems to be going strong and the top buds don’t appear smaller than the lower ones even after splitting the stem on a few branches. Suspected berry white plant is still extremely indica in type, short, bushy and wide leaves as well. Flowers are beginning to appear and she is finally stretching up a bit. Leaves don’t appear more sativa even in flower. Berry white was the only true indica seed I had in the mix. I still strongly suspect this plant was from berry white (blueberry x white widow) bud I had gotten from a dispensary. Male plant was removed entirely from the grow area. I waited until he had nice pod development and then moved him into a different room. The cold in the unseated room triggered pods to open recently, I was able to cross him with my females by dusting pollen onto a qtip. I’m hoping the entire tent isn’t covered in pollen, I sprayed the tent down with water right after pollinating the marked branches. Pollinated branches are marked with a green plant tie. Hoping to see some seed development in the next week. If the girls are pollinated properly, the male will be chopped and if I need to I will pollinate the girls again.
