Ok this was my first grow and I made mistakes. -forgot to buffer coco - nutrient burn -started the manlining to early - probably worried to much about every stage these plants. -ended up with fungus gnats And probably appt more I can’t rmeber in the moment. But i learned so much from all of my mistakes and spent so much time researching and seeing in real time how these plants react and grow. I did do some experimentation just a normal top with one blue dream. I topped twice one another blue dream and did a 3 times topped on all the blue dreams and I see why you should at least top three times the eight main colas and spread out the plant I see some of the buds on the one I only topped once not matured at all because there was minimal light other buds were growing so fat it suffocated it basically. I could have probably defoliated and manliness better but ayy. Beginners wil make Mistakes and I’m happy with what came out of these girls. Not excited for trim hail but I am at the same time 😅😅

Go buy yourself a carbon filter if you will grow this strain because the smell is SO STRONG that when I was harvesting a took a 5 minute break because of the smell..

Did a defoliation taking off almost all the fan leafs and let them swell up and rippen before giving them the chop this week. Seeing 70/30 clear to amber trichs. They smell super super pungent and sticky as all get out. Excited to get the trimmed,hung to dry and start this curing process. All in all Happy Growing

Back with a new week, the beginning of week 6 and wow, the girls are really starting to show off their fall colours and frosty colourful buds. EC has been slightly lowered and I have dropped cal-mag to ensure a good flush later on in the grow. PK has been increased and the girls are fattening up. pH has been drifting so trying to keep a close eye on this to enable the correct uptake of essential nutrients at this critical stage. Both pheno’s are doing incredibly well. Pheno #1 is almost ready and looks absolutely beautiful. Extremely frosty, with a beautiful dark purple-ish fade and chunky rock solid buds. She smells like sweet artificial cherry with cream and gas. Pheno #2 is taking a bit longer, but her bud structure is definitely worth the extra time. Rock solid nugs with insane frost levels, and the terps are very potent smelling like sweet red fruit yoghurt 🍒🍨⛽️

Es wird wasser mit Wasser gegossen, welches ich aus einiger Entfernung per Hand aus einem wasserlauf hole.. 😛 Die Phylaxien der Gelato 41 fast sind anders. Heftig. Sind superdick lang und schnell wieder braun. Bud Körper bilden sich und sind hart. Und das überall. Ok tiefer gleich kleiner. Am 001.009.021 wird sie 71 tage alt. 35 in Blüte. And, what the phylaxien! I mean they re unnormal. Never seen phylaxien growing so massive (i mean pls look at one phylaxie., i think theyre big,) and then as FAST they go brown. Boah difficult to explain. I checked the soil. Wet enough. Looking my Gelato 41 FAST. She is everywhere healthy. I read this is a monster genetic But to see, how it grows! ABNORMAL! in a great way. And i think, soo small arent they. Or?

Seit 2 tagen gibt es nur noch Wasser aus dem Wasser Hahn Ohne Chlor aber mit Sauerstoff mit PH 7,8 Wasser aus Rohr Leitungen enthält weniger Sauerstoff als beispielsweise Regenwasser. Ich habe den Ph wert aber seit 3 Wochen nicht gemessen Weil ich vermutlich einen zu niedrigen PH Wert hatte durch meine Dünger Mischung BioBiZz wie oben angegeben. Ich habe noch nie PH up benutzt oder benötigt bis jetzt.

This was a fun project that was a few years in the making and a year later to see if they would last a season for this upload to happen. Before any of this I would bike aorund town grabbing up all the old Ikea solid pine bed slats that I could find and storing them in the basement. I have a lot of wood down there, any size worked as long as I have enough of them. The hot days to find them were the first and last of the months because that's when people where moving in/out. I also kept an eye on the free section on local online classifieds as well. The entire purpose of this was to recycle as much off the streets as I could before buying anything to finalize the project. In the end I only bought sealer, screws and some takeaway/beers. All the wood was 100% free and salvaged off the streets of Toronto saving it from the dumpster bin. After collecting all the slats for about 2 years I was playing aorund with them on how I wanted to make this work. I had previously done a little project like this before but I messed it up and the boxes where crap. did not last longer then 2 seasons, they where thin and shallow as well could not grow much of anything in them. I Was talking to my friend who is renovating their house and we brainstormed some ideas on the boxes, I found some designs I liked online and said lets make something like this out of what I have here. We tossed out a few of the design features when looking at them as it would have been wasted wood and extra work not needed. If I had more wood them maybe it could have been an option but simple was the name of the game. They taught me what I needed to know like how the miter saw and sander worked, plus all the other tools I was using. They did help out with a table saw and creating the triangle support joints in the corners, They used some pine left overs they had while making a staircase indoors. I did not feel up to the task of using a table saw given all the relatives I know who have lost a finger to them. In the end we decided the design would be three boards high and take an alternating pattern on corners. layer one short, layer 2 long, layer 3 short. Went with a galvanized and painted deck screw so it can take the weathering. Ran into some problems like making everything level as some of the boards were warped and other ones had undesired aspects like knots and tacky sticker goo I could not remove. So I used them for the base that will not been seen so much. Clamped everything down and called it a day. Once it was all done and over with, I then brought them back home from my buddies work garage and started to seal them. I went with a boiled linseed oil as its a food safe option should the wood degrade into the soil I will plant in them. I will need to reapply it to the boxes year after year but the main coat is the most important one and I put it on 3 layers with a good dry in between coats. the inside of the boxes that where coated did not degrade at all as the sun did not hit them so it will not need a new coat just the outside. Overall the end result was very impressive for myself, I've never taken a woodworking class ever and It was a near perfect outcome for me. Heavy Duty Planter Boxes for all my gardening needs. I made a last min decision to add in a plastic liner to preserve the wood even longer and stapled that into the frame. it has held up quite well and may need replacing end of 2nd or 3rd year out in the sun. First I wanted her to grow naturally, but now that I'm moving to the "summer house" , I have to "hide" her. D34, we moved to the house. I hope she'll be fine with the new sunlight exposure. We'll see...

Yesterday I discovered that, in order to change my timer, I didn't put the clock back onto it. Now they had 3 hours more light on the third day of flowering. Exactly the kind of oopsies this grow really doesn't need. But it happened and all back on a normal schedule, but I hope the OHS en GG4 aren't affected by it too much... One accidental re-vegging is more than enough for a year. Also, these sensitive strains can hermie on me for lesser reasons so from now on I'll be checking for male signs daily. The XTraKush is performing as advertised, with enormous stretch, these plants can go 10 ft up according to the breeder. So I'm tying them down and managing this to fill out the space. With all the stuff going on, this 'underdog' strain might even prove most resilient, when all is said and done. They seem to respond really well to the SP-3000 light and If you are in the market for a new light, consider this option from Mars Hydro. Thank you @MarsHydroLED for letting me try it, it is a dream of a light. I compared it to my old light again and PAR values are not even in the same ballpark. 22/11/21 thanks to the grow diary community realised there was a slight over watering issue and nitrogen toxicity. Have lowered the bio grow to 0.5ml per litre and introduced 0.5ml bio bloom as will start flowering period next week. defoliated the plants on the bottom branches to promote growth of the higher ones. Will now only water once every 3 days not every other day. 350ml of filtered water. - Lights are at 80% brightness for final week of veg. 25/11/21 defoliated largest fan leaves near the base of the plants - bud sites are appearing in light green
