~ FASTBUDS TESTER #2206 ~ Well friends, here we go on another 'canna-venture' together! The grow room has had a complete remodel and some upgrades done to it including brand spanking new 4x8 and 4x4 tents and a Trolmaster Hydro X controller along with a new Control Panel. This tester strain is one of six tester strains that FastBuds has graciously provided me with and I'm looking forward to seeing what this girl has to offer when she's grown to her full potential! One drawback of 'testers' is I have little to no information on it other than its number and that it's an autoflower... 🤪 But, it's ALWAYS a blast growing them for me because not knowing a lot allows me to just concentrate on the essentials: Light, Environment, Water, Nutrients and possibly a bit of LST... not complicated, just basics like keeping a constant temperature and RH in the tent at a level that gives a good VPD, watering when almost dry and maintaining proper light levels according to their stage of growth. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ~THE SETUP~ ~Initially seeds were lightly scuffed, then soaked for 3 hours in 78℉ distilled water after which they were transferred to moist paper towels laid out in a Jiffy Pellet plastic starter tray with lid. Underneath the tray was placed a Vivosun Heat Mat with Controller that was set to 78℉ where they stayed until their tap roots emerged. ~Planted into Jiffy Peat Pellets that were hydrated with distilled water warmed to 78℉ with a 7.0 ph. ~Once roots emerge from the Jiffy Pellet they're transferred to their fabric pots. ~Grown 100% organic in a 4g Gronest fabric pot and a 3g fabric pot by Wraxly filled with Mother Earth 70/30 Coco/Perlite medium and initially amended with Dr. Earth 4-4-4 / Earthworm Castings / Dr. Earth Flower Girl 3-9-4 and Coast of Maine Stonington Blend Organic Plant Food 5-2-4. ~19/5 light cycle for the entire run with supplemental UVA added during flower. Lights are controlled by a Trolmaster Hydro X controller set for a 15min Sunrise/Sunset simulation. ~Top dressing every 3-4 weeks with slow release dry amendments and Earthworm castings. ~Straight water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8 when needed and bi-weekly Compost Tea's. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 12/15- Here we go into the second week of veg for the FastBuds Tester #2206 girls and they're on a roll! When I checked on them today they both were still moist so I let them go until I check them tomorrow. Basically at this point in the run all I have to do is make sure they don't dry out, fill the humidifier and watch them grow! 12/17- Yesterday I watered them both and increased the amount to roughly 0.25g each of de-chlorinated water with 3ml/g of Botanicare Silica Blast (added to begin to help strengthen their branches) and then ph'd to 6.4 @ 74℉. I've also increased the output of the HLG 650R's to 35% which equates to about 230w at the wall which, of course has raised the temp's in the tent so I've also begun to run the A/C unit in the grow room which is keeping the temp's now at 75℉ in the tent. The RH is running around 75-78% RH giving a VPD of .67-.74 which I'll take! 😁👍 Other than what I've mentioned above, all I did was fill the humidifier with distilled water and watched my girls grow! 🤩 12/19- Today I watered them each with 0.25g of de-chlorinated water to which I added 3ml/g Fish Head Farms Fish Sh!t and 1 tsp/g Unsulfured Molasses which I then ph'd to 6.3 @ 74℉. I'm now watering through the bottom, filling the drip pan and letting the plant draw up the water into itself. I am also watering from the top, but only just enough to moisten the medium. They're really starting to take off now, a sure sign their roots are beginning to get well developed. Their 4th set of leaves have emerged and I'm thinking over topping them in the next day or so. 12/21- Well, yesterday I went ahead and topped the #1 Tester #2206 taking off the 5th leaf set. Hopefully she won't stress out over this and starts shooting out those secondary branches. I left the #2 alone as she's not quite as tall as the #1. I may not top the #2 as a sort of comparison to see how each grows out. Today I watered them both with 0.25g of straight de-chlorinated water each which was ph'd to 6.3 @ 74℉. I gave about 3/4 of it into their drip pans so they can draw it up into their medium, the rest I applied to the top of their medium just to moisten it. Well there's two weeks of veg behind us now, Week Three of vegetation is beginning and they should really start to take off! 😍👍 😎💚 Thank you for checking out my passion in life! Everything was going well in the first week, but unfortunately, a mistake caused stress in the plant. The distance between the lamp and the plant was too short. This week, I gave the plants a small amount of root growth stimulant

Start of week 7 and plants are taking off The indica dominate phenos are showing signs of crowning and the sativa dominate phenos budlets are starting to connect. 2 more weeks of fertilizer then straight water till harvest.( 10 week flower) Also killed off 6 sativa dominate ( clones) they just take too long to set their flowers.

Day 64 - Starting week 10 today and she was dried out and read for water so she got two gallons of plain pH’d water. Other than that, there’s not much to speak of other than I’ll do a little defoliating on Thursday so a couple lower bud sites will be opened up more. Day 68 - All looking good still and looking like she doesn’t have much more time left, she’s finishing quicker than I thought. Her trichs are about 75% milky and 25% clear so I think she’s got about 2 weeks or so left. She was pretty dry so she got one more round of nutes and then will be just plain water till the end. Day 69 - She’s still chugging along nicely. No issues from her feeding of nutes yesterday and she’s still fattening up each day. Couple little spots where she could definitely still fill in but she’s got a little bit of time left so I’m sure she will. Day 70 - The end of week 10 and looking over the trichs today, she’s just about all milky, was pretty hard to find any clear and picked out a couple amber in there. So it’s looking like she’s got a week or a little more left but will make my decision to chop when she has the amber I’m looking for, about 25-30%.

******Week 5 Veg - Jan 6 to 12, 2020 This was a week of growth. She grew up and did very well with a couple of her side branches thickening up. She is a very healthy girl but she is not flipping. I wrestled with this weeks journal because I wanted to get it started to show her great growth but all along I was not sure if I call this week a flower week or not. In the end I waited and I am calling it a Veg week😥😥 She is not flipping......freaking wants to though by all signs.......I got a suspicion but I hope I am wrong......I don’t want to run two flower cycles! IPM spray with Lost Coast Plant Therapy.......recent thrips experience and staying with a preventative cycle💀👻 Some branches are stiffening since the introduction for silica but others are still very pliable. The main stem is still very “bendy” and perfect for LST right now. Too soft for entering flower given the silica. Why? She has handled the light intensity fine.....she has not been going to sleep early. She has handled the nutrients well given the amount being put in anticipating her switching and wanting the flower dosages. She is beautiful little girl at first glance but she has some oddities in her growth......keeping the grow interesting she is young Skywalker😎 👍 More detail: Jan 6/20 - Day 29 - 2L RO water pH 5.7. - Run-off: 1150ppm, 6.1pH in try from last. After feed 800ppm, 6.0pH - Pot light today. Wanted plain water but she is feeding Jan 7/20 - Day 30 = life was busy........nothing done today for watering. - Pot was the heaviest of the bunch......enough to wait. - She was more droopy today.......cold in the tent though....75 degrees????? Jan 8/20 - Day 31 - Feel she is hungry so fed in AM today. - AM: full feed except no CalMag - AM run-off 900ppm, 6.2pH - PM: full feed with CalMag. - PM run-off 430ppm, 6.1pH - No time tomorrow morning and pots were not heavy so decided to feed again in evening. - She is green and happy.......no bud sites though? Jan 9/20 - Day 32 - Life busy......noting done......heavy feed yesterday. Jan 10/20 - Day 33 - Water only. 1L pH to 6.0 = IPM tonight so keeping it light today. Hit her tomorrow with full feed. = She is looking AWESOME today. Up and happy and still no buds😨😕 - Spray with Plant Therapy from Lost Coast for bug prevention. Fortunately no signs of any issues.......and this will keep it that way😁👊 Jan 11/20 - Day 34 - 2L feed. Upped the base nutrients, Dual Fuel, today to 2ml/L. Wanted to break 1,000ppm and see what happens. - With Advanced Nutrients I am usually over 1100ppm at a similar stage. - Played with light intensity in the tent today by giving them all more. - Pulled 2 fan leaves today. - Limbs are growing funny. Soft and narrow and not typical symmetrical pattern of growth. Jan 12/20 - Day 35 - huge growth night....side branches bushed out and got taller!! - Supplemental focus on this feeding.......help root zone again. - Voodoo and Piranha for two weeks again at the start of flower and promote growth. Sensyzime to help clean up the roots for better uptake. - she is 13" tall and 18" wide now. - 4 large leaves removed and two smaller nodes. Day 24-31 (Day 25) The smell in here is absolutely ridiculous. My last grow didn’t smell even close to this bad in early flower. (Day 27) Stretch is finally all done. #6 in the back is very stout and barely stretched compared to everything else. I doubt it will yield much but I’m excited to see the nice tight colas on it. It seems to be still getting adequate light and raising it up is hard to do with a scrog net so I will just leave it. If it wasn’t getting enough light it would be stretching right? The early frost is really shocking to me. My last indoor round definitely wasn’t this caked and I’ve never had an outdoor plant on this level either. That’s also true in terms of smell too. (Day 29) I’m still debating whether I should feed anything in flower or just leave it. The only deficiency I’m seeing is purple stems from P def which could actually just be from light intensity rather than a lack of P. I’ve done some thinking and I’ve decided to only feed my small plant. What I’m most curious about is if a PK boost will actually make any kind of a difference in flower when it comes to bud size and smokability. So to test this theory I will be top dressing a teaspoon of 0-18-0 bat guano, a tablespoon of 1-4-2 Destiny launch and a half strength watering of 0-0-15 kelp extract. I’m trying to avoid N all together as I just toxed my guinea pig plants with another experimental flowering PK boost that had a very small amount of N in it. This plant in particular actually has very early signs of N def and probably will fade harder than the rest. (Day 31) Shit. Looks like #1 is starting to herm. It’s definitely not environment or light leaks so maybe it’s just genetic or the recent leaching stressed it out too much. Either way, it’s only a single lower branch and I’m prepared to cut her down if I start seeing anymore. I double checked every other budsite but couldn’t find anymore. In my experience true herms usually start pushing bananas out of the main tops and plants like mine can usually be salvaged with little to no seeded bud. But then again it’s day 31, when these things usually start to happen. I’m 50/50 on this one. I will be watching it everyday like a hawk if anymore show up. The breeder I’m using, ‘Jordan of the Island’s’ is notorious for having unstable genetics and this will be the last time I run any of his stuff. The quality is good, certainly better than most European and Dutch genetics I’ve run but I know I could do better where genetics are concerned. I can’t wait to start hunting my archive dosidos x gelato 41 and in house sugarcane.
