The aroma is definitely fully developing now, I'm getting more green apple smell with a creamy sweetness, it's hard to describe 😂 I've started to taper off the nutrients in the past few days, in the next couple of days I'm going to start watering with plain water until the end. Trichomes are getting cloudy. She is fattening up nicely and she seems to just keep piling on the weight, buds are looking dense. 10/18, day 74 While only getting a tiny bit taller, the colas are bulking up, trichomes are developing, and the colors are amazing. She's so pretty! We're starting to take more stemmed leaves off in preparation for harvest, and they are ready to come off, with beautiful yellow fading. There are sooooo many reddish-orange hairs, and it seems most of the tops are being taken over by purples now. 10/21, day 77 Violet's leaves are turning brown and beginning to curl now. When looking at her trichomes, it seems there is not as much amber today as there was yesterday somehow. Every time we open the cabinet, it seems she has changed. 10/23 day 79 Violet has been exploding with trichomes the last couple of days, and I'm just like WOW!! Upon doing more research on trichomes and their development, I found an article that explains things so nicely (Link: https://www.greencultured.co/cannabis-trichomes-overview/ ) In this article, I learned about the three different types of trichomes: bulbous, capitate sessile, and capitate stalked. The stalked being the tall pretty ones we like to see, which also contain the most resin. At a certain point, the short sessiles develop into the stalked, increasing from 30% to 80-90%. This is kind of far down the article in the section titled "Latest Cannabis Trichome Research." It also explains that the stalked trichomes contain 16 cells while sessile trichomes only contain 8, so the stalked trichome explosion Violet has been having is doubling her medicinal value. I believe that her increasingly strong smell is a sign that this is good information, so I encourage you to check it out. I do not know them, nor have any arrangements with them, I really did just find the article that helpful. Oh, Violet, our time together is going to be over soon!!

This week i dropped nitrogen amount on nutes. These girls are going to slow stretching about on third week so i can start using more PK cuz during mid-late flower these girls wont need nitrogen so much,so i can add more PK nutes to keep flowering stacking up and my buds shouldn't be so light green colored cuz of high nitrogen dose on nutes in lateflower and a smoke will be smoother too tho! 5th week of flower i think i will drop b52 out of nutes cuz im trying to get rid off all extra N just for a test.(Testing first time) I think i will feed big bud through 2nd-to flush and not give overdrive at all cuz big bud does not include N and overdrive does.(Testing first time) Girls are doing all good they are forming nice looking preflowers and this 150x150cm tent should be full of big nuggets by the end of flower! 13.2. Third week of flowering in almost done and you can surely see that the stretching is slowing and some thrichomes showing and i think these buds are going to be fat and juicy! 😂 The tall one is buttercream gelato from sensi seeds and this girls is surely showing some nice strech during flowering stage and nice looking buds too even vegetation was too short tho! Best clones are now on nft424 they have growed some insane roots!

This OGgelato is a champ! Not the heaviest producer, but its been a real pleasure and was easy to grow. No matter what nutrients I throw at her, or aggressive pruning, she bounces right back. This week I found bud rot on one of my other plants in the greenhouse but this plant has so far been resistant and is healthy. I thinned the canopy and defoliated out quite a bit to create more air flow. I now have fans on 24/7 and sprayed with a mycorrizhal fungicide that suppresses botrytis. Also this week I have stopped pulling the tarp on and off each night (for total darkness) because it seemed to trap in too much humidity at night. The humidity outside has been 80-90% for over a week! And the rain was so heavy all last week. This week is slightly warmer with less rain so hoping we can make it. The trichomes are starting to get milky. I imagine I have 1-2 weeks left but am not sure. This has been a pleasurable experience for sure, but this is stressful right now! The smell is so strong you can smell it on my block. You can see *everything* from the alleyway adjacent to the greenhouse. I'm worried about mold and thiefs and can not wait for this to be dried and in jars!
