This is the start of my second grow and also second Northern Light Auto from RQS, the goal is to hit #1 in g/plant for that Strain. I didn't take as many notes as in the last grow but there are timelapses, some photos and metrics from probes. Started with 3 Seeds and then picked the 2 strongest. The System is a NFT System but due to the size of the tube and root growths the solution with submerge the roots ~70% later on. To combat that I use 3 small 1.5w air pumps, these are super silent, if one dies I got 2 more running and to be honest air pumps used in DWC systems are often oversized and rely on Broscience. In my Salad/Herb NFT Systems I don't use any air pumps and the plants are just fine and grow great. This time I added sprinklers to humidify the air inside the tube, slightly moisturize the Rockwool and speed up root growths. Spoiler: Was a great success :) The ratios for the fertilizers are not accurate in the following weeks, I have a 120l Reservoir that is filled 90-110l I top it up once or twice a week to sustain PH and EC, if you want to copy it just go by the EC and use the B (Calcinit) and A (Kristalon Blue/Orange) 50/50. I mix the solution myself with dry salts that I bought in bulk 25kg bags. 4l Water(distilled/RO preferably, tap water is OK) + 1kg salts mixes just fine, keep the solution dark and cool and it will stay stable for months. Dry salts don't expire if kept cool and dry so only mix what you need and keep the rest stored as dry salts. 40ml A + 40ml B is about 2EC and 6PH with my tap water, very similar to Canna, Plagron etc. isn't it? just with the twist that I pay ~20% of the known brands. P2O5, K2O, MgO etc. are always the same as long as they are produced by a good manufacturer, Yara is a world leader in fertilizer production just not to be found in you general hydroponics or hardware store. Any other known manufacturer is fine as well, pick the cheapest. Check Hoocho on Youtube to see a guide on how to mix your own solutions, it ain't that difficult trust me. From week 5 onwards I also use Oxygen granulate (KMPS, CAS-70693-62-8, 2KHSO₅ * KHSO₄ * K₂SO₄) if you want to use this check pool supply stores and buy the cheapest. Keep this one dry, cool and dark. I used a old pill bottle to keep some ready to go because it came in a 1kg container and I only need 2-4g per serving + the bottle has a silica pack in the cap. From week 6 onwards I used Haifa Grow Clean for Details check week 6, I use this one as dry salts and add it directly to the tank, it does not interact in a bad way with the solution. For meassurements I use a generic 8in1 Meter "PH-W218" branded by many companies, as usual, check stores and buy the cheapest. (Check week 1 for an image of it) I got mine from Aliexpress for ~70€ it uses the Tuya app so you can always check your metrics and export them aswell. The PH and EC probe are accurate and are giving me stable results for almost 1 year now, I re calibrate the PH probe once in a while and it is tops 0.15 off after a month, always double check your results with PH drops/paper. Bluelab is... A LOT more expensive for less value. For the timelapses I use 2 Tappo C210 2k Cameras, these have the ability to make the stream available trough RTSP so that you can access it trough a link in a browser and that way I snap a Screenshot with a raspberry pi :) after that I just render it with blender to a timelapse. ***** Week 4 Veg - December 26/20 to Jan 1/21 ***** The girls were transplanted on Christmas day, after three weeks in the solo cups from seed. They had been growing well in cups but I must admit that I feel the root mass should have been larger after that time period. I am working with a new nutrient line that I have not used before and have not been adding microbes to the feed schedule thus far.........or hardly any. I feel this is why the root system, while looking healthy, is looking too small. Over the next couple weeks will ensure they get lots of microbes in the 1 gal pots to fill those up with roots before moving to 5 gal pots.......the last upsize for this girls. Counting my weeks for finish I am wishing that I had started these girls a couple of weeks sooner so they may not get to veg in the 5 gal pots for a couple of weeks before flipping to flower. For these girls it is still pretty early on in their lives and not many exciting things to happen the first month of seedlings. We have done one upsize and another to go. Keep the feeding in line and follow the week 1 veg feeding for these girls, bringing up the ppm closer to 700ppm range. Overall, happy with first couple of weeks of veg. Need to get more roots going, we will, but otherwise just give them the time to mature and take it easy......they will come along😀 She is looking very nice and even so far and keeps catching my eye when I open the tent😂😎 Little more detail....... Dec 26/20, Day 22 Veg - Dry out day after being transplanted yesterday. - Pots were still heavy. - Let the microbes in the media do their thing and start pushing root growth harder than what has been happening. Dec 27/20, Day 23 Veg - Gave the girls a little splash of the left over nutes from two days ago to add a little oxygen and they can take the extra microbes and bacteria right now😀 - 200ml with Microbial Mass and Piranha @ 2ml/L = 650ppm and 5.7pH - They are really happy today!!!! Loving the bigger pot to let those valuable roots expand into nice fluffy new coco and soak up the nutrients👍 - This girl has always had wider fan leaf blades than the other two girls. She is shorter but wider.......hell, kind of like me Dec 28/20, Day 24 Veg - feeding day today with more water to get some runoff from the 1 gal pots. They have not been watered to runoff yet.😀 - 0.5L each girl with the full line for this week. No other additives, just the IPP line = 700ppm and 5.7pH - seems a little high to jump from around 300ppm to 700 but will follow the companies recommendations👍 Dec 29/20, Day 25 Veg - Dry out day. - they are happy today......not much to add otherwise today Dec 30/20, Day 26 Veg - going to give them another day without watering. - I feel like I should be watering today but I am not as I am not sure how much moisture they will have consumed and the roots need some air to breath so holding off. - think it is a CalMag only feeding tomorrow. Dec 31/20, Day 27 Veg - feed day today since it has been a couple of days. - 500ml with CalMag @ 2ml, Gold Storm @ 7ml, Sea Storm @ 5ml, Blackstorm @ 2ml, Vitamin B @ 0.5ml = 525ppm and 5.7pH - keeping the humic and fluvic acids going in, plus Kelp and CalMag👍 - the girls are happy and seeing forward movement everyday, looking for more aggressive though from the girls. Jan 1/21, Day 28 Veg - doing very well......like really well💪 - didn’t push them today and left them alone for watering, pots of course still had some weight and I didn’t expect them to need today. - Optic Folier Overgrow given today. Folier spray to give them just an extra boost since everything is otherwise dialed in👍 Finishing off the week very strong!!!!!! They have been looking very healthy and perky everyday. The roots are a concern and will be taking it easy on the nutrients for another week yet and keep up the microbes and beneficials. Will get them in line......my hope is too keep their time in the 1 gals down to two weeks max......maybe 10 days?? Looking pretty good ETS as we move through the first upsize and get veg going here. She has been very steady right from the start and continues with steady growth in early veg. Her branching is growing laterally and keeping short node spacing in her growth, perfect!......again, still pretty early on but its all good so far😎

Been lightly LSTing the stem for resilience have noticed more development and more than original thought would be thers the development of the 3rd-4th set of leafs with the development of the first 2 side branches on each autoflowers (first 2 on vid is lemon cherry cookies and last 1 on vid is frozen face) started lst to shape there structures I’ve defoliated the single set of leafs where first set of side branches are developing and stretching nicely

This particular strain was pretty nice to grow other than the deficiency problem I had with 2 of them, brought them back to a nice healthy green colour and they ended up yielding the most! Overall a good auto strain for beginners and I'd definitely recommend it👍 very pungent though so if your trying to be discreet indoors Id suggest another strain that doesn't smell as much....happy growing people!!!✌️☮️

Vegetationswoche 12 - 26.06. – 03.07.2026 Diese Woche habe ich die Utopia einmal großzügiger entlaubt und die Triebe mit etwas Low-Stress-Training weiter unter dem Netz verteilt. So füllt sich die Fläche langsam immer gleichmäßiger. Gegossen wurde einmal mit ungefähr einem Liter, ansonsten habe ich nicht weiter eingegriffen. Die Pflanze sieht nach wie vor sehr gesund aus und entwickelt sich stabil weiter.

She's looking as pretty as anything this week!! I think she's almost there. Just waiting on more pistils to change colour. Trichomes are mostly milky. I note she is quite smelly!!!!!!

They have shown sex and seem to have grown multiple pistils from calyxes so I'm hoping there going to continue to flower. 🙏 Shot up in the last week and two smaller ones have now become two tallest. Trying to convert a branch on the tallest fastest growing middle plant using a home made STS solution!

1st week. Plants all sprouted wed-thursday

I tried to tie down and make an even canopy with FBT2311 and 2312. These two plants are now starting to fill in nicely with pistils and hopefully are nearing the end of stretching FBT2313 is a very stout plant. I beleive that my lights were turned too high and the fan blew too hard, causing a phenotypic response. Much further into flower development then 2311 and 2312. A much smaller plant means ot needs less nutes, but the soil was amended with organic inputs at the beginning of the grow and I didn't cut back on supplement feeding enough, so it seems to have more P and/or K then it needs. I did not need to tie down but I used the trellis as a way to open the canopy some for air flow and light penetraion. FBT2314 ended up slightly larger and stretched a little more then 2313. Flowers are developing nicely and some signs of deficiencies and possible light burn. Otherwise going pretty good. It's difficult to trim the back part of the grow tent so I am letting these ride and see what happens.
