🌱 Skywalker OG — Week 3 VEG Report 12/12 from seed | Vegetative phase ongoing General Overview Week 3 of vegetative growth ends with Skywalker OG performing exceptionally well. Both plants are growing in near-perfect sync, once again showing that environmental consistency is doing the heavy lifting here. Despite being grown in different containers (plastic pots vs Pro-Mix bags), there is no visible difference in growth rate, structure, or vigor. Rhythm, height, and development remain aligned — true twins in motion. Growth this week has been fast, confident, and clean. Growth & Structure • Stage: Vegetative • Flowering signs: None observed • Node count: ~6 nodes • Growth habit: Compact, fast, very controlled • Internodal spacing: Tight • Leaf development: Large fan leaves, dominant canopy At this stage, Skywalker OG is clearly prioritizing leaf mass and photosynthetic surface over branch elongation. Branches are present but still relatively short compared to leaf size — a classic sign of a plant building energy reserves before structural expansion. There are a few funky leaf expressions here and there — small personality traits rather than problems. Nothing concerning, nothing progressive, and nothing that requires correction. No training has been applied so far. ⸻ Container Comparison — Pot vs Pro-Mix Bag An important observation this week: There is no meaningful difference in growth between the plastic pot and the Pro-Mix bag. Both plants: • Grow at the same pace • Maintain similar height • Express similar leaf size and color This reinforces that, at this stage, root environment is equally supportive in both setups under these conditions. ⸻ Training Outlook While no training has been done yet, Week 3 observations suggest that training may begin next week to encourage lower branch development. This week went really well ! Today we are at day 79 from seed an looking beautiful! One Forbiddin Runtz got chopped an hung to dry out an the rest are still flushing out through the rest of this week! Very nice looking fades coming along on the fan leafs from purple to green , so beautiful ! So happy with these genetics from @fastbuds_genetics! Super sticky an smell is so amazing, room full of purple punch’s an Forbiddin Runtz the smell you can’t beat, so many berries!!! Well stay tuned for next week! Cheers y’all

The summer really affected my outcome, three weeks of near 40 degrees made most of my buds fluffy and deformed, then the dry room was left open so the humidity was at 30 percent.. 3 days and all my buds were completely dried out. After 4 weeks of curing the taste came back a little but still not the best Up to the next one ❤️

the girls are struggling a little bit. One is yellowing because its about to flower, but one is just not growing much and the other is very lanky.

Day 30 of flower; She's growing very tall and she has forced me to move my light as high as I can. She has also forced me to raise the other 3 plants in the tent. She's starting to build some very long colas.

Wie deutlich zu sehen ist, haben die Blüten eine solche Masse entwickelt, dass die installierte Stützkonstruktion bis zur letzten Minute notwendig war, um die schweren Zweige zu stabilisieren. Die Pflanze zeigt eine exzellente Struktur mit voll besetzten, kompakten Fruchtständen. ​Besonders hervorzuheben ist der extreme Besatz mit Trichomen, der in den Nahaufnahmen fast wie eine glitzernde Kristallschicht wirkt. Passend zur Abstammung der Genetik verströmt die Lady nun ihren markanten, stechenden Geruch: Ein schweres, chemisch-dieseliges Aroma, das von einer erdigen Würze und einer dezenten, aber präsenten Note von feuchtem Waldboden begleitet wird – typisch für ein hochwertiges „Dawg“-Profil. ​Diese Kombination aus visueller Brillanz und der intensiven Geruchskulisse macht das Endergebnis zu einem echten Highlight für jeden Enthusiasten. Ein absolut gelungener Run, der nun in die Trocknung geht.

Harvest time! Only this time there were some problems that made me take another approach. The thrips are still active so I thought it would not be very wise to lock them up together with the bud inside a paper bag. So I’ve decided to just cut the entire top part of the plant main stem and all, and hang them inside the top of the tent. But ofcourse not before I have given them a thorough shake. Then from the lower part of the plant where still some bigger buds, which I’ve also cut, trimmed and shaken clean, before they did ended up inside the bag, leaving just the lowest part of the plant with all of the small buds I’ve intended to use to germinate and create some seeds. At this point the remaining part of the plants are inside my small garden greenhouse, and I’ll keep you posted if it’s going to succeed. Normally I’d preferred to trim the bigger leaf from the wet branches, then dry inside my paper bag and finally trimming the dry buds for bringing up the final bag appeal. Only now I’d chose to only remove the fan leaf and hang drying. I turned the ventilation almost on the lowest setting during drying. As I said with the strain review, I’m happy with the results from plant A and C. Plant B started revegging, and thus ended up with a lower end weight. A shame because it had the biggest buds. The positive thing about dry trimming is that you don’t actually have to trim anything, it takes a bit more time, but you can literally push the leafs from the bud.

Dealing with humidity issues with the amount of green in the tent. I really don't want to defoliate too much more. Around 62% rh with tent closed. Added another fan to keep air moving. I have a small dehumidifier arriving tomorrow, so that should help. Smell is becoming pretty strong.

Been back to cruise control now after having a few questionable spots pop up on random leaves which I’m pretty confident was PH swing and temp shock when changing the res out. Once everything is back to being stable, new growth looked fine. The EC/PPM is dropping slowly along with water consumption daily, looks to be in a good spot for now. I have been defoliating leaves blocking tops in the middle, and I’ve been pinching out the tops on the plants as well. I cut my lights back just a touch in hopes I could get a little more vertical growth, these things are stocky!! Maybe that’s the Mammoth Si at work.. See you next week!

Well it’s the beginning of week 7. Still now flowering ??? Not so speedy after all. A few of them have stretched a lot. Hopefully that means flowering soon. It’s going well other than one plant out of six that’s doing poorly. It looks ok.
