Often, marijuana growers who have their plants in indoor grow tents or rooms with artificial lighting, take into account parameters such as temperature and relative humidity to maximize plants growth and bloom, thus obtaining abundant harvest with top quality flowers. As we will see later, these factors affect different processes of the plant, such as transpiration or nutrient uptake. However, we usually forget about another important factor that is related to the aforementioned ones: vapor pressure deficit or VPD. Broadly speaking, VPD is the difference between the amount of water vapor that the atmosphere is able to retain (which depends on temperature) and the amount of water vapor contained in it (relative humidity). It is usually measured in kilopascals (kPa). Providing our plants with a correct relationship between temperature and relative moisture will keep us on the right VPD parameters, increasing the plant’s activity and thus improving its growth and showing its full potential during the flowering phase. The ideal would be to adjust both parameters (temperature and humidity) to get the best possible VPD value, so that the development of plants will be amazing.In the chart above you can see the right temperature and moisture values to maximize the development of cannabis plants. The green zone shows you optimal values of VPD, in which it would be ideal to maintain the environment. The orange zone shows correct values, in which plants should not have problems to develop normally. However, red areas show values in which your plants will be very far from hit their full potential, since the relation between temperature and moisture is not optimal. With relatively high values of VPD (between 5 and 12) plants tend to open their stomata and release a considerable amount of water vapor into the environment (increasing their transpiration). This increase in transpiration results in an increase in the plant’s photosynthetic activity, which will need more nutrients and will improve its overall growth, both during growth and bloom. The best range is between 7.5 and 10.5, which we have marked in green. However, we must be careful that VPD is not too high (dark red zone) since the plant would close its stomata to avoid releasing too much water vapor to the environment, which would result in fast dehydration due to excessive transpiration. On the other hand, if VPD is too low (light red zone), the plant will also close its stomata for not releasing more water into the atmosphere, which in this case would be already saturated (it would have reached the maximum water retention capacity in a specific temperature). In this way, reducing transpiration will also reduce photosynthesis, which has a direct impact on the plant’s development and yield. That way, VPD is essential when it comes to offer the best conditions for the development of plants, also to understand its water requirements according to the nutrients used and thus adjust them correctly to meet the grower’s expectations. Last week I think. All cloudy trichomes and more ambers everytime I check. Leaves are yellowing themselves they've faded a lot in the last few days. The main stem split from 2 top branches so I taped it up. Dropped the terra bloom and gave just dragon force and sumo boost last feed. Going to start flushing this week and see if I can go a week at least. May have left it a little late. Smell of blackcurrant is amazing, got a really strong almost sickly smell to it aswell though, not the most pleasant hahaa mext update will be harvest thanks for sticking through on this one ✌️🏻

It's been a great week for the seedlings! They've really taken off and are looking strong. I'm planning to transplant them into larger pots in the next few days, so next week's photos should show some impressive growth. I'm so excited to see how they thrive in their new homes! I've been giving them distilled water from the start, and I'm still doing that, but I just started adding 10 milliliters of Fox Farm Big Bloom and 1 milliliter of Fox Farm Grow Big. All of the seedlings are doing really well, and there's not really any visible difference between all the ten strains. I started all ten packs of each strain and kept all the best seedlings, so that's why they're all doing so well.

She growing strong and healthy...

9/6 - Looks like 6 of 6 germinated. They are now in the nursery. Going in the Organic direction with this grow. First time trying it but i like the fact that you can have a "living soil", reuse the soil, and a big thing thing for me is that you don't have to flush like you probably should if you use salt based synthetic nutrients. My 2 cents. 9/14 - progressing nicely. Installed a better light source for them.

The tuber boost increased significantly from the 5th week onwards. It has become colder outside, but the climate in the tent has remained fairly constant. During the day around 25 degrees, at night around 19 degrees. In the meantime, beautiful head buds have formed which appear very compact and firm. The smell on the fingers is now also intense if you have to remove a few leaves for better light penetration. Watering is still done three times a week with compost tea, water and PK Bosster plus water alternately. If watering is necessary in between, then with normal water (~23°C). Soil temperature:~18°C The slightly younger London Pound Cake X Zoap can be clearly distinguished by its tuber structure and seems to be ready at the same time despite being 1.5 weeks younger. The three Mimosa X Orange Punch are partially peach colored and the Fat Freddy's are darker and partially purple colored. Flowering was given as 8-9 weeks, which I think is correct. But I think it's more like 9 weeks, as I want to let the plants mature properly. The leaves are now also turning purple in places and in general some parts are starting to 'leaf out'. As I have already said, the plants have generally grown too tall and maybe 12 is too many, which is particularly noticeable in the middle and lower part of the plants, as they are quite compact and quite light, which suggests that there is not enough light. As the plants are now concentrating almost exclusively on flower formation, I have again removed some leaves that are too large in the upper third to the middle to give the lower flowers better lighting. Overall, however, all the plants have developed really well and I'm already looking forward to the final result.

Matilda has stopped making new fan leaves and started stacking on colas now. She has definitely stepped up her loudness as well. I could just sit in the tent and enjoy her complex; fruity, funky cheese, darkness all day long. I still have 4-5 weeks until I even think about harvesting.

This plant was quite bushy and I had to get rid of a lot of lower growth, leaves and mini shoots, gave it a pretty aggressive stripping and half ass lollipoping. This will be the last week they are in Veg and switching to flower cycle next week with a 12/12 photoperiod. I was going to try a 13/11 but I wanted to test out the automatic light functions on the Medic Grows Minisun-2, So this will be relieved next week. Been having issues with PH in the medium again and some nutrient uptake. I am thinking I will switch to another brand I have to use up, trip tonic from my last grow on the balcony. Its a bit more complex and not as easy as mix into water and feed but I think its going to help me solve a lot of the issues I am getting. Given this update is a few days late some of these pics are not from today. the clones in the photos above are from the beginning of the week when I potted them up. They have not done well at all and may not make it. can only hope for the next few weeks they pull through.
