Girls had a great week at summer camp! Smiles are found everywhere regarding their new homes. Plenty of room to grow and wiggle their toes in the amended formula 707, which is doing what was expected retaining moisture nicely, bringing the watering to a minimum. All three girls received merit badges for hiking(survived transplanting), water sports(2 liters), light tolerance(supplemental lighting), physical fitness(color and strength)and kite flying(added a fan). They are all looking forward to this weeks activities. Girls seem to like what they’re getting at the chow hall, green and growing daily, strong and upright. Plenty of good stuff in the soil. A fan was added and the benefits are three fold, dry out the top layer of soil, pest control, makes them stronger. I will update as needed. ***update, the girls are looking good this morning, well rested, well nourished, vibrant. Their roots must be really liking the 707 as evident by the rapid growth. Measured them this morning with the H. W. At8 in. the V. F. at 8.5 and the 91 Grapes at 10 in. And at least an inch wider as well. No water will be needed today. Note. The greenhouse may be better suited for growing mushrooms than cannabis. Pine trees and shade. No direct sunlight until after 2pm. Dappled sun all morning long, so installed a T-5 4 foot ArgroLed 6550(k) daylight led fixture above the girls. That was a bright idea! ***update, New Video includes new homemade lighting.

the week started with a novelty for me: the appearance of nematodes in my tanks... strange little worms, which gather in the water and move in little spasms (see video 👆) When I started growing, I bought a whole range of products against infestations, paranoid as I was (I'm sure others have experienced this 😅); Among other things, I bought NeemAzal, neem oil in emulsion. So I took a chance. I emptied my tanks, cleaned and dried the bottom, without much conviction as the worms must have been in the coco already. I made a new soup with my fertilizer, adding 20ml of neem per 10 litres. Well, I don't know if it was really the right product, but for the last 5 days there has been no trace of nematodes! The water seems soapy, the grease film is more important than without the neem, but if it takes the small sacrifice of a conscientious cleaning once a week, I'll gladly do it! In any case, my plants are doing absolutely no worse : the first one got its leaves back in 2 days, already forcing me to a small pruning 4 days later, now showing well several colas; I also defoliated the 2nd one for the first time, which produced leaves already bigger than my hand in 2 weeks of life! happy with this hydroponic experience so far 😊

Ausserdem kamen noch einige neue BioBizz Produkte hinzu die jetzt nach Schema verwendet werden um das maximale Potenzial der Mädels heraus zu bekommen. Ich bin sehr stolz auf mein Equipment was meinen Zelt eine Vollendung bringt. Jetzt heißt es sich gut um die Mädels zu kümmern damit starkr und kräftig werden um die fetten Knollen zu halten. 🤪

Banana kush autoflower was a okay grow. She was very hungry and threw my ph off several times. So she had some leaf damage through flowering. She had more potential then I got out of her. Still a good grow and lots of sweet flower. I put another seed in and she’s doing just great. I’ve never had this happen before so I must’ve. This was a fun project that was a few years in the making and a year later to see if they would last a season for this upload to happen. Before any of this I would bike aorund town grabbing up all the old Ikea solid pine bed slats that I could find and storing them in the basement. I have a lot of wood down there, any size worked as long as I have enough of them. The hot days to find them were the first and last of the months because that's when people where moving in/out. I also kept an eye on the free section on local online classifieds as well. The entire purpose of this was to recycle as much off the streets as I could before buying anything to finalize the project. In the end I only bought sealer, screws and some takeaway/beers. All the wood was 100% free and salvaged off the streets of Toronto saving it from the dumpster bin. After collecting all the slats for about 2 years I was playing aorund with them on how I wanted to make this work. I had previously done a little project like this before but I messed it up and the boxes where crap. did not last longer then 2 seasons, they where thin and shallow as well could not grow much of anything in them. I Was talking to my friend who is renovating their house and we brainstormed some ideas on the boxes, I found some designs I liked online and said lets make something like this out of what I have here. We tossed out a few of the design features when looking at them as it would have been wasted wood and extra work not needed. If I had more wood them maybe it could have been an option but simple was the name of the game. They taught me what I needed to know like how the miter saw and sander worked, plus all the other tools I was using. They did help out with a table saw and creating the triangle support joints in the corners, They used some pine left overs they had while making a staircase indoors. I did not feel up to the task of using a table saw given all the relatives I know who have lost a finger to them. In the end we decided the design would be three boards high and take an alternating pattern on corners. layer one short, layer 2 long, layer 3 short. Went with a galvanized and painted deck screw so it can take the weathering. Ran into some problems like making everything level as some of the boards were warped and other ones had undesired aspects like knots and tacky sticker goo I could not remove. So I used them for the base that will not been seen so much. Clamped everything down and called it a day. Once it was all done and over with, I then brought them back home from my buddies work garage and started to seal them. I went with a boiled linseed oil as its a food safe option should the wood degrade into the soil I will plant in them. I will need to reapply it to the boxes year after year but the main coat is the most important one and I put it on 3 layers with a good dry in between coats. the inside of the boxes that where coated did not degrade at all as the sun did not hit them so it will not need a new coat just the outside. Overall the end result was very impressive for myself, I've never taken a woodworking class ever and It was a near perfect outcome for me. Heavy Duty Planter Boxes for all my gardening needs. I made a last min decision to add in a plastic liner to preserve the wood even longer and stapled that into the frame. it has held up quite well and may need replacing end of 2nd or 3rd year out in the sun. All 3 plants are adapting very well to LST, the shape its growing into have been allowing the light to reach further into the lower growth nodes and branches. I like to start bending the branches close to the main stem as early as week 3 of VEG. Now these 3 Northern Lights Auto seeds are from Sun West Genetics, they were all germinated, planted, trained, fed the same way they have been on the same controlled environment since day 1, the 3 are totally different, I know each plant is unique in its own way, but I find strange that 1 plant is taller and stronger than the other 2, the smaller one is growing weak leaves with signs of mutation, all 3 plants show signs of Magnesium deficiency, these 3 plants are sharing a grow tent with a Haze Auto from Seedsman, all 4 plants are under the same diet, the Haze have no signs of deficiencies or mutations, I guess that shows what good genetics look like. For the Magnesium deficiency I have mixed my own Epson salts into water and applied as a foliar spray, internet said the spray should be used every other week, wait 2 weeks to see results. Signs of Nutes burn, I decided to stop feeding for this coming week. The 3 NL leaves are looking unhappy, kind of clawing under, they look lifeless, I have ruled off a few potential problems such as: Wind Burn Under Watering Water PH Light Burn, just moved the QB higher to 17 inches from the highest canopy today. Day 50. Tallest Kush chopped by breeders recommendations, but in my conditions like a week at least away. Had max 20% milky, most clear, plant suffered some deficiency and was faiding slowly, still. Instead of Christmas flowers - 5 colas surprised my friends, colours and crystals are amazing. She was watered last 4 rounds with water and i will compare taste and effect , but i think it's a loosing tactics - such early crop. Not more than 40 expected from what left ;))) 5 out of 17 colas was taken away. I will add a third of weight, for real feel in totals. Day 67. After 24 hours of darkness all girls are chopped. Will make review and update in a week or so.

As this is my first time I just followed the instructions on the box. I watered with nutrients, followed up by a watering without nutrients.

Hello. This is the end of week 9 and the beginning of week 10 of veg. Got them outside and repotted. They look much happier... Look at the last pictures to see they have grown a few inches in a few days. I put a heat sink in this year. 8 - 5 gallon containers were put under the table and are supposed to trap the heat and release it slowly. You can see the white containers behind the plants under the middle of the table. I'll take them out when it gets warmer at night. The soil is 5 gallons of SunShine Mix #4 ( 70% Moss) and 5 gallons of compost from my household composter. I mixed them together. I surrounded the root ball with the SunShine Mix neutral ph soil, so the root ball doesn't get burnt by the hot soil. The roots will grow into the mixed soil when they are ready. Lots of light in there with the new window film I've installed. Plants have a tangy smell to them. OK. Be Great. Chuck.

Added Exhale c02 and top dressed in each pot with 1 tablespoon per gallon of growing medium my pots are 3.6. I added 3 tablespoons. It is my hopes that with adding the slow release dry amendments and once the c02 bag sarts growing my plants will finally grow. They are short but have 4 nodes at day 21. What is an exhale c02 bag? “The ExHale bag is a patented strain of mycelium that produces an abundance of CO2 without fruiting. This means that when our bag is activated, the mycelium grows, eating the substrate it comes with, giving off heaps of CO2 straight into your garden, and it does all this for 6 months - guaranteed!” At day 25 I am not impressed with the size of these girls? Hope they hit a growth spurt soon? Their internodes are stacked very nicely. At day 28 growth is very slow. Practically none existent since my top dressing at day 23. 2 plants have received a very minimal nutrient burn. As I do not have a soil ph tester? I will be watering with a ph of 6.0 rather than 6.5, hopefully that helps. ONWARD!
