This is my biggest and healthiest plant I've ever had! I'm so incredibly amazed by Deepwater Culture that I'm thinking about not growing in the ground anymore and instead setting up 6 DWC systems in the tent. Tody i defoliate the plant :)

Hi guys, so I chopped the little gelatocake 3 days ago and its hanging in 55% humidity and 15°f, I have taken a sample bud, you no how it is lol. Sherbert mimosa are struggling along and going purple 💜 bit cold here lately, starting to fatten up a bit now, the baby photos are growing fast but need repoting. Happy growing guys 💜💚💪

Welcome to Week 1 of the Sweet Seeds Gorilla Girl XL Autoflowering grow courtesy of the fine folks at Sweet Seeds! This is the second of three consecutive grows/diaries that I am doing to showcase the tried and tested genetics from this reputable seed breeder. My last grow was a smashing success so I have high hopes for this grow as well. Nothing much to report for Week #1 although I will mention that the first watering was only 0.7 of a litre per plant (0.18 of a litre per plant per day) and the second was 1.4 litres per plant (0.35 of a litre per plant per day). I am watering on my usual schedule of every fourth day as this seems to be the sweet spot throughout past grows. I am using the usual- air bubbled tap water that is PH’d to around 6.0 and if need be (over the winter months in Canada) warmed to 68-70 degrees prior to hand watering with a small watering can. The seedling that lost one of it’s cotyledon leaves is fine but still a little smaller than her sisters. So now on to Mom’s tip of the week… Mom’s Tip for Week #1 is- YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR- QUALITY IS KEY!… When considering growing Cannabis, even on a small scale, quality is an important factor in all aspects from the seeds to set up to the supplies used throughout the grow. Starting with seeds from a established breeder will raise the odds considerably in your favour for a successful outcome. Many seed companies are more than willing to ship out freebies while building up their brands which seems attractive to new growers- but use at your own risk! There’s nothing worse than being halfway through a grow and discovering male flowers tucked in amongst the lowest branches or realizing that your beautiful buds have been mysteriously pollinated just weeks before harvest. I know that seeds from a reputable seed breeder are usually more expensive and can be hard to access in certain parts of the world. But purchasing quality seeds from a reputable seed company is the first step towards homegrown Cannabis success. An area that new growers often overlook due to the high price is the quality of crucial components in their set up- including tent, lights, and intake/exhaust fans. Anyone can get away with cheaper pots, oscillating corner fans, water pumps for dechlorination, etc but it’s worth every penny investing into the workhorses of your entire operation. An initial investment of around two thousand dollars will provide serious growers with the longevity and hassle free basics needed. If done right, quality components will pay for themselves within the first 6-12 months of use and continue to serve your needs for 3-5 years to come. Supplies used throughout the grow are the final area where quality is important but somewhat subjective too. Although I’ve already stated that I don’t feel the need to spend big dollars on all the extras (pots, oscillating fans, water pumps for dechlorination, PH/moisture meters, etc- I do believe in doing my homework to make sure that I’m getting the best bang for my buck. I thoroughly research every item purchased and used in my grows by reading customer reviews, speaking with other growers and sometimes even trial and error at my own expense. Making quality an important factor in all aspects of Cannabis cultivation will benefit you, your grows and the planet we live on. 🌳🌎🌳

Just feed her ph water for the last couples of days I’ll be chopping her down this week due to heat wave in my area .. wish I could let her go few more days At this stage she’s releasing nitrogen still

Starting to ease up on the nutrients with week 7 coming to an end. Starting week 8 plants will only be fed ph water and molasses until plants finish.

These girls are doing fantastic at this point her buds are starting to develop.Ill have to do some defoliation here soon as they are all 3 getting bushy.Ive kept the light intensity at 50 percent power as the light is super strong and they have taken it well.Ive also kept up with the advanced nutrient feeding and haven’t noticed any deficiency.As the buds develop more thru the next 2 weeks I’ll introduce the Plagron green sensation along with some bud candy.I have grown some mega buds with the Plagron and I can’t wait 😛

So guys we lost 5 early on into flower . But still produced 28.7 ounces off 5 plants so we'll impressed.. my next run is purple punch x lemmon drizzle hopefully no complications and I don't loose any all in all .. mimosa x orange punch 👊😍 terpines out of this world. Mouth waters when smoked .. happy growing guys

Absolutely ridiculous growth coming from Lois on the right. Megan struggled her whole life and I couldn't figure out the issue so I took her out of the hydroton and found she was massively tangled. I freed her and transplanted to soil in my room to give her another shot at life!

During the middle of this week I decided to stop the outward training of the branches & the allow vertical growth for beginning bud site formation . I don’t want to miss the beginning flower stretch kinda need it 😂. Decided to break the apical dominance of the main stem by LST’ing down . I noticed it was leagues ahead of the rest of the plant because it hung over the side of the pot so since I need to start slowing it’s vertical growth I figure now Is also time to get the rest of the canopy to catch up leaving me to space things accordingly later when/if necessary . Also decided to go ahead and do my 1st & last additional feeding since these girls where planted all I’ve had to do this grow was water when dry & train her to the best of my abilities. Really don’t have much to say been a real easy grow even tho temps been getting in mid to high 80’s lately I got a jewelers jewel think it’s cheap cause it’s 10X can’t really see the trichomes to well I seen some amber but I’m sure if it’s not cut down this week may23rd it will definitely be cut next around May 27thish

Week 4 – Day 30 (Transition) Where do I even begin… 😅 White Widow #1 officially started flowering this week (Day 0 of bloom) – but not without drama 😵 She managed to break off four of her own tops due to LST mistakes or weak stems. But here’s the crazy part: 👉 Two of the broken shoots actually reattached themselves and continued growing – even though they were hanging by just a 1 mm strand! 💪🌱 The photos show it clearly: sometimes it's worth trying, even when it looks hopeless. Despite the rough week, she's holding up and is now officially in the 12/12 cycle. Stretch is coming – let’s see what she’s got in her! 🌿📏

Day 49 - Still giving the ladies just PH water with no nutrients trying to see if I can fix whatever is wrong with them😅 All in all the White Widow & Orange Sherbet plants I took individual pictures of are growing great & should have a pretty nice yield! Hello. This is the end of week 8 and the beginning of week 9 of flowering. I've stopped closing up the tent at nights now. The plants are so far along in flowering they won't turn back to veg, even with the neighbor's lights on. So I'm not in there twice a day now. So I was a little surprised to find spider mites. The grow was going so good I thought I missed the bugs this year. But they showed up. I bought a Hypochlorous Acid Generator last year last year early so I was prepared. I used it at full strength last year for spider mites and I got yellow leaves after a couple of weeks. I guess the leaves got a bit fried at full strength. So this year I'm trying it at 1/2 strength with a drop of dish soap to help choke those dam spider mites. It's a little pricey, but I'm hoping to get years of use out of it, to make up for the price. Everything else is going good in here. Started flushing yesterday with PH adjusted tap water. The tap water used to be at 6.5 ph for years, but the water counsel found out that 7.5 ph water is better for you. So I have to adjust it. It's 1 drop of ph down per gallon and it makes it 5.7 ph. water. It will be 2 weeks more of flushing and then harvest. With the Panty Punch male plant ... I've seeded 1 branch of each plant and I've pollenated 4 clones too. They are - The White, Amnesia Lemon, Critical OG and Pink Kush. I'll send you some free good regular seeds if you want to do a diary on them. I learn from your diaries so I can improve my breeding technics. So if you would like some free seeds, privet message me and we can chat about them. I send them in a Christmas card with an international stamp. It cost me about 3 dollars Canadian. I don't mind. Week 5 flowering Now the swelling begins

Another busy week with the vege. I gave it microbes, a HID lamp at 400 watts, sprayed for bugs and also covered the media with plastic wrap to get rid of 3 or 4 gnarts and of course a had another flood with the GoGro water system and I took one plant out of the garden because she is frozen in time. I still don't know why. The trellis is doing good. Lots of work.
