Second week in stretch training a bit more with the net.

Purple starting to come through on plant 2! At what point do you start your 2 week flush? (if you do). First grow and kind of anxious about doing it too soon or too late.

About this diary> So I've made it to the end! This baby didnt die on me! This diary was half a record for myself, to keep improving and contrasting against my future grows in and out of this wonderful platform (growdiaries), and half a tutorial for other noobs like me. That's why I wrote somewhat long explanations about some of the things I myself found confusing during this and last grow. I also repeated myself, but again mostly because I was trying to learn while doing. I got some help from other growers in the community, which was very nice, and different from trying to figuring out everything by oneself. This girl stretched a lot! from about 30 cm at the end of flower to about 90 cm before harvest, it survived nutrient burn, an accident were I dropped something heavy on her on flower, accidentally chopping a branch during LST and spider mites. However, still yielded nicely. I cant imagine what these genetics could become in the hands of a master grower!! About the growing conditions> The idea of the grow was, not only to learn how to grow a somewhat long flowering strain (6 week veg, 10 weeks flower) but also doing it very cheaply. I think the most expensive thing I bought was the seed from RQS. I built my own light fixture (from 4x 4.00CAD COBs from aliexpress), some cardboard, wire, sticks, tape and aluminum foil. I also used dollar store nutrients (like 15% of a 15-15-15 veg mix, and a 15-30-15 flowering mix). I timed this strain to finish a few weeks before the temperature really starts dropping outside, and was always able to keep it around 20-29C without any air conditioner/heater. About growing amnesia haze> I harvested this plant on the early side, but I found it a challenge not to harvest earlier! Since many weeks ago the delicious smell has been filling the room and some parts of the house... Plus, its a long wait... However, I think it was very well rewarded :) As I said, the high is creative, giggly, energetic and uplifting, at least from the premature samples we got. I will update this once the real deal is dry and cured :) About the harvest> Well in terms of numbers, I will update this when the weed is done drying, but I can do an estimate right now... each sample I took weighted about 1.45g wet, and dried to a 25% of that (0.35 g each)... It means that what I weighted from the harvest (412.86g + a bunch of trim) would probably weight about 100g when dry... Let's see how it goes in a week or two :)

Welcome to week 2! 17/02 no watering yet. Im content with the grow rate. they also all look healthy and are similiar in speed to each other. Looking forward to whats to come! 19/02 0.7L of 2.5 ml/L Grow and 4 ml/L Rootjuice @1.2 EC 6.0 PH. Should last a while now!

Pow Pow Pow what can i say, i mean even the frogs here were hypnotized with this monstrosity size Mama she is all one can ask and so much more, wen harvesting these cutie pie beast Lady i felt the need to break her in small peaces , or smaller that the them baseball bats collas hihihi OMG them colas OMG . Sep 7: what a great plant. Totally love how it’s going. Flowers keep getting fatter and heavier and she’ll be done before the end of September. Sep 8: there a tree root sticking up a bit in my yard which means the plant can be tilted toward the late afternoon sun. This is helpful because the sun is getting really low to the horizon already and we’re down to 13 h of daylight. Plus now direct sun is done in my yard by about 6 pm. Indirect light is okay but you really want direct sun at all times. Videos shows use of 730 nm far red light at dusk. Just a few seconds is all it takes to set the plant into dark mode two hours faster. It’s a bloom booster because you get two bonus hours of darkness or a 26 h day. Very effective but don’t miss a night and you have to adjust the timing each night. When starting this on July 20 Civil Twilight, as listed on timeanddate.com for my location, was at 9:45 and today it was at 8:40 pm. The red light at dusk is a highly recommended trick if you have daily access to your outdoor plants. Also works indoors, of course, and on autos too. Also I think it helps ‘stabilize’ the plant by emphatically putting it into dark mode, and therefore less susceptible to stray light to cause a hermie. Have not had hermie problems in four seasons of using the red light so that is my only ‘proof’ but it is true so far, even with taking flash pics before using the red light. Sep 9: getting heavier and now more branches are weighed down and slumping against the scrog net. Nice problem to have, I know, and without the scrog net some of the branches would be breaking off now. She’s now officially too big and too top heavy to keep moving around the yard in pursuit of direct sun. Sun is much lower to horizon now and direct sun hours are dropping too. Sep 10: getting close to done and getting very top heavy. Awesome. Sep 12: raining today. Has been cool last few nights and some purple colour is just starting to show. I don’t want to overdo fertilizer near the end, but I decided she is showing K deficiency. I’m out of malted barley but I still have potassium silicate, so I used that and some cal-mag. I’m avoiding kelp and molasses or using more P at this late stage because that can make the dried bud hard to burn and that really sucks. So, potassium silicate and cal-mag it is. The potassium silicate raises the pH and it takes about the same volume of vinegar to get the pH down. A good does of acetate is likely good for the bugs in the soil too. Then a squirt of Dr Bronners soap as a surfactant and that also supplies some biodegradable carbon for the bugs in the soil. Seems to work overall and is cheap. Holy growth! All these ladies grew exponentially since my last entry. I even left them for a weekend without any issues. This week I decided to start on my second round of nutrients by including Fox Farm Grow Big. I also added an Exhale Co2 bag for additional growth support. Will have an update next week. Que pasa familia, vamos con la quinta semana de floración de estas Fishy Zoap feminizadas de Seedstockers. Vamos al lío ,se trasplantaron en macetas de 7 litros definitivamente. El ph se controla en 6.0 , la temperatura la tenemos entre 24/20 grados y la humedad ronda el 50%. El ciclo de floración puse 12h de luz, el foco está al 80% de potencia. De momento van creciendo a buen ritmo y tienen un buen color, la flor ya empezó a coger formarse y a tricomar, tienen pintón ya. Comentar de nuevo que el estrés hídrico fue superado sin problemas, esperemos que no surja nada más. Hello the greater community that is GROWDIARIES!!! This week has been well, uplifting should I say! Two weeks ago I was pretty dismal, I had one out if three auto flowers. I had high hope for this grow with RQS being g pretty reputable, but all was going wrong! Then! with a little help from my friends here on GrowDiaries, I was inspired to carry on lol! Now a fortnight later, I'm my opinion, things have turned a corner! I'm seeing flowering behaviour again from these three that were completely stuck in veg! So I'm happy :) Supercropped the big sativa. Just made sense. Only one hasn't been HST, the runt who is actually most progressed of the three. Followed by big sativa. Feeds are pretty unique for each plant so just ask, but the one shown relates to the one in flower. Summary: 1 auto 3 photo periods all under 12/12 for the past 2 weeks. Thanks for taking a nosey!

Much better side branching on this strain.Pleased to see I have one definite Purple pheno possibly the other might be too but a bit early to tell on the one.Smells are coming through and growth has been decent.Once again very happy about the good lateral growth

I had to harvest both sbc.. they produced seeds caused by too high EC in the Coco. The EC of the GP was even higher but she seems to handle it better and performs normal. A EC of 1.8 in the Coco was too high for the sbc. EC of the GP was 2.4. I flushed the GP, it was now possible since the sbc wasnt there anymore and therefor was no danger of getting the stacked pizza boxes wet which would let the sbc sink down like in mud. GP will be harvested in two weeks and right after that i will start a new diary with 3x sbc. I then can flush probably and will not run into this problem again.
