Good week of growth. Fed twice throughout the week. Couple signs of insects but hoping it's just the few fruit flies I have in the vicinity. Also continued with LST, both plants seem to like it. Growth on Alaskan purple is slow due to the shitty Amazon light overjead I believe. Seemango has a mars hydro ts1000 overtop.

Recovered from the topping and defoliation well. Responding to bondage well. Began Biobizz nute feed at half strength. Just letting her do her thing and flower when she is ready.

Poor babies! They've definitely had a rough start. I'm fairly certain now the issue has been too much moisture in the soil. I believe there are a few factors that have had an impact: 1) Obviously, giving them too much water. In the first week I gave 90ml into their 1 litre pots over two waterings. I thought this was okay because the top soil was completely dry between waterings. Someone suggested that seedlings don't need additional water for the first 10 days so I'll try that next time 2) Feedback I've had is that my soil mix is quite heavy @ 63% soil, 25% Coco, 6 % perlite + 6% vermiculite. In future I'll increase the perlite portion to about 40% 3) Also, I just noticed that the plastic pots I'm using have very small drainage holes. I think this has caused moisture to accumulate at the bottom of the pot. Yesterday I pushed my finger all the way to the bottom of the pot and it is much wetter at the bottom than at the top. So yeah, tough start. But they're still growing, albeit very slowly. I trust they'll survive.

I have added a new light and am going to try a super soil grow for the first time. I have a Mephisto Genetics Double Grape between paper towels and waiting to sprout. The space is about 18 inches by 24 inches. The ceiling slopes down, so I don't have much room at the rear of the space. For medium I am using Fox Farms Happy Frog augmented with perlite. The bottom third contains 0.5 pounds autoflower blend of a "super soil" additive from Nature's Living Soil. (https://amzn.to/2PUHc6k) I am using three-gallon cloth pots. The light is a Horticulture Lighting Group 135W QB V2 R-Spec LED kit. NUTRIENTS Tap water pH’d to 6.5. pH lowered using 1.5 TBS unsulfured blackstrap molasses and apple cider vinegar. One-half TBS of vinegar lowered pH about 0.5 points. The medium was very dry. Slowly watered to allow the moisture to be equal throughout the soil ISSUES My while I have yet to put the seed in the dirt, I am concerned about temperatures. They are currently running at about 86F. I would like to get it down to about 80F. DAILY LOG DAY -2: STARTED SEED * Started seed in my traditional manner. Between paper towels soaked in 5% bleach solution, 0.25 tsp/0.5 Cup water. Temp 82F. DAY -1: ACTION *The smallest of tip has appeared. Will put in soil in a few hours. Day 0: SEED PLANTED. * Refrigerator filtered water. pH 6.5. 1 cup (250ml) added very carefully. * Covered with humidity dome. * Light from Soil: 32.5” * Temperature: 82F DAY 1: SPROUT The sprouted seed has shown itself above the soil. A nice Christmas morning surprise. Now I can start counting the days. * Watered with about 200ml of water at pH 6.5. Used apple cider vinegar to lower the tap water pH. * I was pleased to find that my tap water does not contain chloramine. I was reading bad things about chloramine and "living soil." It can kill beneficial microorganisms. All I did was ask my water company and they replied saying "we found no mention of chloramine use in the system:" Just what I wanted to hear. * After looking at other diaries using 250W LEDs, I moved my light down to 25 inches. DAY 2: NO WATER FOR YOU * No watering today. There is plenty of water in the soil and I want the roots to stretch and work. * Working on increasing the humidity and getting more control over the temperature. DAY 3: WATER PLANT, NOT POT. ADDED MYCORRHIZAE. * Following the GrowWeedEasy watering suggestions for Kind Soil * 500ml water at 6.5 pH, around the plant and not across the full 3-gallon bag. * The fan gently moves the seedling to keep it strong. * Had minor unexpected run-off. I hope to avoid that in the future. * Added 1/8 tsp Great White Mycorrhizae dissolved in 100 ml of 50 ml water/50 ml molasses mix. Did not pH as it is such a small amount of solution compares to the watering earlier today. DAY 4: NO WATER, NO PICTURE * Nothing really new. So no reason for a picture. * The soil is dry on top, but the bottom of the pot is still damp. So I will watch it, but I don't expect to water today. * Adding a small intake fan has dropped the temps to about 82F, I think they can live with that. * A humidifier arrives tomorrow and I think that will be my last step to improve the environment. DAY 5: 500ml WATER, LOOKING GOOD * The plant is looking good. The second set of true leaves has a bend, but nothing to worry about. DAY 6: 500ml WATER. NEW HUMIDIFIER * It wasn't really necessary to water today, but I did simply to stay on the schedule I am using. * Given the lightness of the soil and the moving air, I don't anticipate any problems. * Added a humidifier yesterday evening. It's bringing the humidity up, but I need to keep the space closed and I'm a bit concerned about having to provide it with distilled water frequently. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WEEK ONE IN REVIEW ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ * Watered with 750 ml pH's tap water. Watered slowly to avoid any runoff. * The plant is looking very healthy. It looks as if the roots are really starting to work as the plant is darker green. * Balancing temperature and humidity is tricky, but I think I will be able to get it stabilized with a bit more work. * Target Relative Humidity: Seedlings - 65-70; Vegging - 40-70; Flowering - 40-50 ==> Beginning Next Week I Will Only Post Twice A Week, Mid-week And End Of The Week. <==

Day 59, 1st of October 2020: She quiclky reactod to the Topping.... i topped her 14x 14 branches and already growing out rapidly. She is bushy and looking good time to start flowering. I will leave her in 36 hours of darkness before the 9th week ends so on Saturday (todY is thursday) till monday morning. Let's make her flower :) Day 60, 2nd of October 2020: Alright so time has come; she needs to start flowering. Look at her the last 5 pictures (Day 60)📷 before I place her for 54 hours darkness I mean 17:00 o'clock on (today) Friday to 23:00 o'clock on Sunday. Can I count well? so ... 17:00 o'clock to 23:00 o'clock is 6 hours (23:00 o'clock lamp switches on) and next Saturday 23:00 o'clock is 24 hours and one more 24 hours is Sunday 23:00 o'clock 🤪 so 24+24+6 = 54!!!!! Yes!🤪🤪🤪 I have never been good at mathematics 🙃 Okay so I gave her a lot of water and also sprinkled the soil with bat guano before i put her in darkness. I added more nitrogen because she seems to be very hungry for that again and put her to 💤 😴 🛏️. So let's start flowering say goodbye and see you soon 😊 Day 62, 4th of October 2020: Here we go I took her out after 48 hours just to take pictures 📷 Flowering has started so from now the lamp switches on 23:00 o'clock and it works till 11:00 o ⏰ . Week of admiring this girl is drinking water every 2 days without problems something big to take I need a lot more of that in my garden her resistance and incredible leaving in its natural form you only feed and observe because it makes great sprouts with incredible sugar, aroma sweet, previous weeks in veg the defoliation of everything that was underneath made something bigger in equal proportions, it really doesn’t need big lights to show its potential I believe that improving in each specific strain you know each one, being able to understand more and improve. Thanks for another week everyone, the trichomes are taking their best potential, I hope at any time to return with the harvest 😁

Really big stretch! Doubled in height in a little over a week. Pre flower sites all over as she is getting ready to do her thing. I may have finally duplicated a successful effort.

6/15 Everything was dry this morning but the bags STILL had some heft. Much lighter though so I decided to water. I didn't realize how cold the hose is so I'll have to usecthe water inside or premix it. I watered everything at least a half gallon. Things are going great. I'll update as I go. UPDATE: IM GLAD I WATERED. ITS 73° OUT AND NICE AND SUNNY. 6/16 Foggy morning has turned into a sunny day! Plants are doing amazing. So glad I watered. I took a shit ton of pictures but they don't seem to be uploading. VERY FRUSTRATING TO TAKE THE TIME TO TAKE PICS AND VIDEO ONLY TO HAVE IT NOT UPLOAD. It's working now. I canceled out after I uploaded everything. Trying to upload again now. EDIT: EVERYTHING IS FIXED. I UPLOADED A BUNCH OF STUFF. PLANTS IN THE BACK AND THE FRONT SEEMED DRY AND LIGHT. I GAVE THE TWO 10'S AT LEAST A HALF GALLON. I GAVE THE THIRTY A GALLON AND SPLIT THE REMAINDER WITH THE 20'S. I MIXED UP 5 GALLONS. EVEN THOUGH THE PLANTS IN THE MIDDLE WERE DRY THEY STILL WERE FAIRLY HEAVY. IT IS SUNNY AND 80° WITH STRONG WIND. I'LL WATER THE OTHERS IF NEEDED BEFORE WE GET SOME RAIN. Everything is looking GREAT! I didn't get pictures as I was in a hurry. The 3 plants in tje middle are dry on top bit about as heavy as the others. The wind doesn't go through them like the others. I would've watered but they looked happy and we are supposed to be getting rain. I'll be back over later and re-evaluate.

I visited her today!!!! Day 147!!! when I came I saw one broken branch, yesterday there was quite a strong wind, I think it's his fault :) but everything else looks good, just found 1 small ring of rot :), which allows me to leave it to grow for another week :) very beautiful girl :) there will be a renewal, good luck!!!!

Sep 7: Gorilla Cookies is doing great. It’s the biggest of the four plants with the most uniform manifolding job, it’s also the furthest along in flowering and will be the first one to finish. Hopefully by later this month and that we get lots of sun to drive trichome production. Still doing the 730 nm far red light at dusk as a bloom booster, and I’ll keep doing that until the end. And don’t take flash pics of your buds unless you’re then immediately using a far red light to put them into dark mode. Sep 9: bit of defoliation of lower branches and buds to direct plant’s energy upward and to maintain good airflow especially down low. Used my last bit of Cal-Mag as a few leaves on each of the plants was starting to show a minor calcium deficiency. Sep 10: beautiful weekend is probably the best one all summer with nice sun, no smoke and perfect room temperature sort of weather. Sitting here a minor gust of wind blew her over. This the fifth time a plant has blown over lately but first time for this one. The 5 gallon bags are big enough for what I want but still easy to move around to maximize sunlight. A drawback is the small pot needs to be stabilized by filled buckets. Sep 12: these buds are forming quickly and she is ahead of the other three plants by at least a week. Raising odour level to normal which is probably pretty loud for other people who can still smell most things. The tops are starting to look white when viewed from a distance so that’s pretty cool.

So die Woche wurde ein wenig entlaubt und die haben ordentlich an Größe zugelegt. Ich Denke mal in 7-10 Tagen ca. werde ich sie in die Blüte schicken und ab da beginnt für mich persönlich der spannendste Teil🍀 Vorher werde ich nochmal düngen und vielleicht ein paar sonnen segel und zu kleine Triebe entfernen👍🍀
