12/12 has been initiated. Girls are looking amazing and filled up the trellis really well over the week. The contrast Pheno in the back right still out growing the others. I got the canopy as even as I could possibly get it even with the height differences. Got the light at 12 inch per spider farmer recommendation and light at 50 percent. Aiming for about 28 DLI for first week and will continue to ramp up as weeks progress.

Let's call it Fuego RSO.. 😎 you will need: 30g / 1 ounce trim or flowers, ground coarsely or blitzed 1 litre alcohol (better the expensive one which is food safe, butthen it would be nice to have a distiller to catch it.. so i take rubbing alcohol 99,9%) a cheap rice cooker, you need to be able to operate it with an open lid, and it needs to switch to keep warm function by itself! a USB cup heater a container for mixing the weed with the alcohol, made from ceramic or glass or something a stick for stirring a container to catch the green liquid (alcohol is magically dissolving many colors and other things so make sure you use the right materials here) a straining cloth, sieve, coffee filter etc to seperate the plant material from the green alcohol trichomes solution a scraper or spatula a heat proof glass to put on the USB heater for last finish a glass container or cyringe to store the finished oil some coconut oil and some small glass jars ° first you pour half of your alcohol over the flowers or trim and then stir for several minutes ° sieve the material, catch the green liquid ° put the material back into the bowl and mix with the other half of the alcohol, repeat ° put the minimum demanded amount of liquid in the rice cooker and switch on, stay there!!! keep the lid a bit open, this is really prone to catch fire now. i do it in the garden when it's windy.. It was another great week here in the grow room plants have come leaps and bounds low stress training is really having a huge effect on canopy density and i cannot be happier

This is a test-grow of Barbarian, a cross of AK-47 from Serious Seeds with Barbara Bud from from House of the Great Gardener (HotGG) made by Mat, the head-breeder of HotGG, in Canada. I had the honor of getting three test seeds at the Cultiva-Tradeshow in Austria and could not wait to start them after I got home. The two test-plants were grown on soil under HPS and alongside my normal grow of AK-47 plants inside a big Secret Jardin tent and fed with Advanced nutrients.

8/17 Watered everything but the 50. Found two leaves with sep markings on the pink kish in the 50. Definitely not using old soil again. I'm pretty sure THIS plant contracted it from the soil and not the way the others did with the lawn mower and birdseed hijinx. It's supposed to rain for the first time basically all summer. It's am 80% chance so I HELD OFF ON PLANT DOCTOR AND DID NOT APPLY as I'm supposed to have a clear day after. I'll apply the plant doctor in the morning. I'm hoping this rain will knock down a bunch of those thrips. They seem to be on a small branch on a plant or two. One or two leaves show damage and I'll pick them off. I figure I'll get them after I apply plant doctor. I'll use either citric acid or just my regular bt-k pillar treatment with Castille or liquid soap. That will kill them as well. I'm on really worried about it. I also might just buy a bunch of lady bugs and unleash them once things get further along. EDIT: TOOK A QUICK VIDEO AND A COUPLE PICS. HOPEFULLY WE GET THIS RAIN. IF NOT IM GOING TO TREAT THE THRIPS THAT ARE ON TWO PLANTS NOW. I THINK IM GOING TO GO WITH BT-K FOR NY PILLARS AND HOPE THAT THE DISH SOAP IN THE MIX KILLS THE THRIPS. THANKS. 8/18 We got the rain we were expecting. It was sheet rain for a few hourscand rained during the night. Everything was drenched and it was cold (50°F). I shook off the special kush that's way further in flower. I decided to use the leafblowrr despite the risk of spreading anything. I did it so that it wasn't ever blowing TOWARDS another plant but still. I was hoping it might blast off some thrips that might have survived that torrential rain. We've never had a dry summer like this. I'll moniter things. My water day is tomorrow so I assume that's when the girls will get their plant doctor dose. It's a great time of year for cannabis growers. We get to watch all the hard work we've put in literally pay off. It's very peaceful in the garden. EDIT: Went over at about one to check things out and do some minor defoliation. I checked on the thrip situation and I dont know if I blasted them off with the leafblower or if the rain washed them away bit I doubt it. Ivecmade the decision to treat these little bastards. It's on one plant but it's started to spread to another branch on another plant. I probably just overlooked it but still. Seeing that it rained like he'll and I'm seeing like zero signs of septoria I'm going to treat everything. At least I think I am. I haven't decided what to use. I think I could just use bt and soap and I'd probably be alright. I'd feel better doing that as it's something I'm familiar with. Outdoor growing. It's always something. 8/19 In the 40's last night. Hopefully that will help with the thrips. I was hurried and since today tops at 72° I only watered the 10th planet big mk ultra and the chem dog with preventative plant doctor. I'm not seeing hardly any septoria and if I do itsca random leaf. I mixed up 3tsp of citric acid and some Dawn in a 2 quart hand sprayer and treated the 10th planet that I thought had heat stress and the Pink kush in the ten gal that has the damage. I also treated a branch on my good tenth planet. It was the only branch with markings so I think I've got it early enough. I'm just wondering the best way to tackle this. The pink kush I'm sure, could handle spinosad. That strain is much later flowering. I'll see how the citriccacid works and go from there. If the other girls need water they'll get it when I get home alongcwith plant doctor. I've got some work to do. I'll keep this updated. Opinions are always welcome. UPDATE: THE PLANT IN THE TEN I SPRAYED LOOKS BETTER THAN WHEN I SPRAYED IT! I ALSO DIDNT WATER AS ITS UNDER 70° AND EVERYTHING I WATERED LOOKS WORSE THAN WHAT I DIDNT. WATERING NEEDS CHANGE QUICK WITH A 40° TEMP SWING. THESE THRIPS ARE GONNA HAVE A FEW MORE NOGHTS IN THE 40'S. THE CITRIC ACID SEENED TO KILL ON CONTACT. MY PROFESSIONAL BUDDY ADVISED TO ORDER GREEN LACEWINGS AS OPPOSED TO USING SPRAYS. HE SUGGESTED SPOT TREATMENT BUT AFTER MY RESEARCH ON THRIPS THAT WONT HE AS EFFECTIVE. I HAVENT DECIDED WHAT TO DO. I MAY ORDER THE LACEWINGS AND I MAY CONTINUE AND ROTATE TREATMENT. I DONT WANT TO OVERREACT (WHICHVI TEND TO DO) BUT I ALSO DONT WANT ALL MY LEAVES TO DIE. ILL KEEP THIS UPDATED. IM PLANNING TO GO OVER TONIGHT AND CHECK THINGS OUT. I MAY SPRAY A FEW MORE PLANTS AND WATER WHILE IM THERE. ITS TIME FOR THERE PLANT DOCTOR PREVENTATIVE. 8/20 I watered the two kush in the back WITH THE PREVENTATIVE DOSE OF PLANT DOCTOR as they were dry I assume due to the wind they get. The one in the 50 I found one sep leaf. Looking carefully arpund the garden I can tell that I have a thrip infestation. First time I've fought this and it seems most people don't really know what to do besides predators at the beginning of the season. I'm too far along for spinosad. At least thats what I've been told. My pro buddy said to try to spot treat it. It's not bad bit I'm afraid it might be worse than I think. The plants I treated with citric acid look MUCH better. I think I'll dial the dosage of citric acid down and start with that tonight and switch up treatments. I can get rid of them it's just going to take a ton of work. I think I've had them before and I attributed to something else. I so think that the very early pink kush plants could handle spinosad. I hope so. The plants I watered the other day look overwatered. The plants I didn't water look GREAT. The special kush in late flower looks happier than I've ever seen her. The difference being we went from 104° one day to 72 the next with 46° night Temps. This week is highs of 70's lows of high 40°'s. I've got a lot of work cut out for me. Didn't do a video as I didn't have time but I'll do one

Now, let’s dive deep into the SCROG method. The Screen of Green (SCROG) technique is a grower’s secret weapon for maximizing space, light efficiency, and yields. The concept is simple but powerful—train the plants to grow horizontally along the net, forcing them to expose multiple budding sites instead of just a single cola. This way, the canopy spreads evenly, improving light distribution and air circulation throughout the tent. As the plants grow, I’ll gently weave their branches through the screen, ensuring they fill every square inch of space. The end goal? A sea of buds all basking in equal light! 💪 Huge Leafs Everywhere! 🌿 One thing that’s really catching my eye this week is the size of the leaves—they’re HUGE! Honestly, they’re so big I couldn’t resist a little fun, so I made myself some fashion accessories: leaf earrings and a cap from the Super Sativa Seed Club Green Papaya! 😂 And, of course, I captured the moment. But seriously, large leaves at this stage are a great sign of healthy, robust plants. These “solar panels” are hard at work soaking up all the light, driving photosynthesis, and fueling growth. Using the AMP-3 Precision Meter, I’m getting real-time water readings and keeping everything dialed in perfectly. unstoppable :p Day 29: on the video, the 2 on the right side are the Ayahuasca Purps, the other ones are Peyote critical. getting real bushy, need to defoliate soon day 32: they got their first feeding, I only use a minimal amount of blooming nutrients. day 33: plucked some leaves , cuz there was no airflow at all, also installed a new ventilator. day 36: had to pluck some leaves again

Wow, does this Gorilla Cookies smell great!! If you have been following me, then you know that the weather here in my area has been rough. BUT, according to @Fastbuds website, Gorilla Cookies is defined as being "Super-reliable and incredibly resistant. This cultivar inherited all the best qualities from her parents, making it a fool-proof strain even for beginner growers." And, my gorilla cookies has "Chunky dense buds" just like the website said it would. I used my Max-see magnifier to take some close up pictures of Miss Gorilla Cookies trichomes. She is getting closer and closer to a harvest. It rained a little this week so I only fed her a couple of times. I am currently feeding her @AdvanceNutrients Jungle Juice. I have only taken about 10 leaves off at the most during this grow. I just didn't need to open up any space for sunlight, so I left them all in contact. I also had a couple of caterpillars? that decided it was a good idea to visit my flowering plants. Little do they know we do not want them to visit! I included a picture of the caterpillar that visited. Any thoughts? Take a look at the picture that I circled on. I circled where the stem is bending down because of the bud weight. All in all, it was a good week. Miss Gorilla cookies in concentrating on her bud growth. As always, Let's chat it up! See ya next week.

Attempted a kind of mainline technique again, this time the plants have really responded to it, and have exploded with new growth after every watering. Last time i tried mainlining i stunted the growth badly (See "RQS Blue Cheese Fem" diary). I have never seen a plant respond so well to watering though, its amazing, i notice new growth within hours of watering, every time so far!

🌸 Flowering Week 1 — first week after flip! Both girls officially entered bloom and are starting to show early pistils. The stretch already kicked in and the canopy is filling up nicely under the Spider Farmer G3000 💡. This week I noticed the first signs of powdery mildew (PM) 😬 — just a few small white spots on lower leaves and shaded areas. Immediately dropped RH and started preparing to treat it next week with Hydrogen Peroxide 3% (H₂O₂) foliar spray. Feed mix (per L): • Corex 1 ml/L • Terra 0.4 ml/L • CalMag 1 ml/L • Mira 0.2–0.5 ml/L (pH adjust) • Bud Candy 2 ml/L • Terpinator 5 ml/gal (~1.3 ml/L) • Florex 0.5 ml/L • Aurora 0.5 ml/L 💧 Watering around 15L per plant with 10–20% runoff. PPM ~1350–1450 @ pH 6.0. Plants are still praying strong, no major stress visible 🌿. 🌡️ Environment: 26–29 °C (day) / 23 °C (night) 💧 RH: 50–55% 📝 Observation: PM just appeared this week — I’ll continue with Hydrogen Peroxide 3% foliar spray in Week 2 to kill and control it. If anyone has other proven PM-fighting tricks for coco grows, feel free to share 🙌. Excited to see the stretch continue and bud sites start stacking next week 🌿🔥

4/28 MONDAY 330am.... Looking great. All plants growing in an almost perfect square 4/29 3am looking good 5/1 4am Doing great!!!! Did you know that NOT burning your plants makes them grow better???...boring. I better add TONS of supplements. 5/2 12am 8ml Con. bloom. a little left over Grow nutes. 430 am 7Z is strong enough to trim off bottom buds. I usually leave those as early samples not this time. Concentrate all power to 4 solid easy to trim, dry and store. They are ALL STRONG.....WOW the flowers are FAST they really live up to the name and they JUST started they are going to be great if I dont burn them!!!! Great luck with them all!!!!!! 2 pm. Defoliation and bud trimming worked great. 7Z has3 colas that are VERY big and one that is just ok. Im going to think about this for a day or so, BUT I MIGHT chop to a 3 cola grow, get rid of the smaller one and see if that will bring THAT potential energy to the remaining strong colas?????🚨

-4/23/23 Start of Week --Week 5 -4/24/23 (day 37) --Observations: FIMed top recovering slowly --Comments: may top this plant because the recovery time on the FIM attempt is taking to much time. -4/25/23 (day 38) --Changes: topped main stem, also added some other plants to the pot (cilantro, lemon balm, lemon basil) --Comments: today I topped the main stem because I didn't like the way it was recovering from FIMing. decided to remove the top in a way that left one branch node and not the normal two, should give all the branches space to grow during flower. also gave this girl some friends so that she is not alone. -4/26/23 (day 39) --Observations: topped location healing good, underside branch doing good --Comments: recovering quickly from the topping. also I will be removing the underside branch before I flip to flower along with the lowest branch on the main stem, will be using them for clones. -4/29/23 (day 42) --Observations: almost fully recovered from the topping, getting a little clustered near the center --Comments: this experimental grow style is not working the way I thought that it would, but it is still doing really well. excited to see what this plant will look like when it starts flowering. I continue to spray with nutrients every day, will stop halfway through week one flower cycle and switch to spraying with Build-a-Soil's Build-a-Bloom until the end of week 4. also will switch watering nutrients at the end of week one flower. -4/29/23 End of Week

Day 21 - Ladies are looking nice & healthy! Everything seems to be going great, one is still growing a little slow but all in all extremely happy with this grow so far!
