Oh dear, oh dear—almost two weeks have gone by and the cat hasn’t posted an update. I’m so sorry! And apologies for the poor video quality. As you can see, my smartphone isn’t exactly top-notch. Well, maybe MP4 isn’t the best format either. 😂 At least you can tell that things are coming to an end—for three of the four ladies, that is, if you don’t count the Medical Mass. The Eleven Roses, Sugar Black Rose, and Lemon Gazzy are the most advanced at the moment, while the Strawberry Blue has benefited immensely from the recent very warm days with lots of sunshine. If the weather turns out as forecast, I’ll leave them to grow for at least another week. Maybe I’ll take a peek at our little trichome friends. I could pick a little flower from the bottom… just to have a look at it and maybe… try it. xD I’d like to let the Strawberry Blue stay out a little longer. I think another two weeks would really do her good. Since she already looks very sativa-dominant based on her appearance and flower structure, she probably won’t develop quite as thick and resin-covered buds as her counterparts.

. FIRST DAYS ------------- This week is off to a good start; the girls are growing up to 35 cm, the pistils are developing, and there are no abnormalities to report. I waited a little too long before starting the CalMag (I live in the countryside, so I have to order everything online...), which resulted in a few yellow and brown spots on some leaves at the end of last week, but the deficiency has already been contained. I removed the “bandage” from the injured plant; it has healed perfectly. The plant affected by an infection has recovered well: the two branches trained to replace the main branches have grown well. They will undoubtedly each bear a respectable bud. One of the scars curiously resembles a half-lion, half-gorilla face: I see this as a sign of robustness😊 Finally, there is no doubt: all the girls are indeed girls, with no signs of hermaphroditism. Honestly, Fastbuds' White Widows are very resilient! 💪 MIDWEEK ----------- 7cm more in half a week; 2cm per day, good cruising speed Nothing to do today, they are recovering from lollipopping without any problems, they seem to appreciate the watering schedule, as well as the temperature and humidity. I can only watch them grow and resist the urge to manipulate them 😉 Oh, and one thing: frost is coming. 😍

The stretch is finally over haha Some good stacking going on so I switched over the blue supplemental light to red and turned on the under canopy lights - (40w full spectrum spider farmer). Worked ok in other grows Tomorrow is day 21 so the girls will get a great clean up Vpd - 1.25 Ppfd- 800-880

The plant is growing perfectly and is already getting very thick (the flowers). Resin is constantly forming and the smell is like a candy factory. There is still hope that the flowers will change color slightly, but it is difficult to get below 27 degrees during the day Flowering day: 34

Enjoyed growing bloody skunk such a pretty plant. The smells coming off these girls are mouthwatering would love to grow some more in the future. I got almost a blackberry/ grape skunk smell off of them.

The plant seemed recovered but still dwarfy, because she only got around 6 hours of sunlight, or maybe even less, on my balcony.

Shoot!!!! They’re beginning to thickening up, i’ve done some lst for 5 days and now they’re pretty good. I’m letting them grow and will begin to tie the other branches when they will be big enough!

Es war eine sehr gemischte Woche mit viel Regen, etwas Sonne und eine Menge Wind. Die Durban Poison lässt sich davon wenig beeindrucken, sie ist am Stock festgebunden, steht kerzengerade und lässt ihre Buds weiter anschwellen. Leider habe ich bei sehr genauem Hinsehen doch ein welkes verdrehtes Blatt in einer Blüte gefunden und dieses mit der Blüte sofort entfernt. Weiteres Untersuchen brachte aber keine weiteren beginnenden Schimmelstellen zum Vorschein. 100% schimmelfrei ist sie also nicht... Das Wetter ist jedoch sehr schimmelförderlich zur Zeit. Ich freue mich schon auf die Ernte und dann benötige ich viiiel Platz zum Trocknen. Die DP ist dieses Jahr etwas kleiner als im Jahr davor, was sicherlich an der Düngemenge im Topf in der Vegetationsphase liegt. Entscheidend wird sein, ob das Entlauben etwas am Erntergebnis verbessern wird. Letztes Jahr hatte ich mehr Blätter an der Pflanze gelassen. The Durban Poison is not particularly affected by this; it is tied to the stake, stands straight as a die and continues to swell its buds. Unfortunately, upon closer inspection, I did find a wilted, twisted leaf in one of the flowers and immediately removed it along with the flower. Further examination revealed no other signs of mould. So it's not 100% mould-free... However, the weather is very conducive to mould at the moment. I'm looking forward to the harvest and then I'll need a lot of space for drying. The DP is a little smaller this year than last year, which is certainly due to the amount of fertiliser in the pot during the vegetation phase. The decisive factor will be whether defoliation will improve the harvest yield. Last year, I left more leaves on the plant. Thank you very much for visiting and best wishes for a mould-free week! 😀

I grew two plants of the FFT1 testers. I started them indoors in the spring during COVID19 lock down. The germination date was the week of March 25, 2020. I didn't start the grow diary at that time because I was having a really hard time coping with the COVID19 non-sense and I wasn't sure I was completely committed to properly documenting the grow. In the end, I think this grow helped me cope... ha! So I topped one FFT1 plant, and let the other grow 'native' with no interventions at all. Both were grown totally organically with no added nutrients. We moved the plants outside on May 1, 2020 into our home made greenhouse/trellis. I took a few photos but I was still not committed to documenting the grow. I wasn't even sure if the plants would grow well considering I hadn't provided them with any nutrients at all. In fact I felt like I was neglectful of the ladies LOL. It became clear to me by June that these plants were gonna take off... they were growing like mad! I realized that I really HAD to share what was going on in my back yard. Also, I had made the commitment to FastBuds, and I was sure they would want to see the plants. I started this journal as soon as they started the first signs of flowering. By the time the stretch was done Big Mama (my first FFT1 plant) was an insane monster at 10 feet fall. Little Sister (the second FFT1 plant) was a solid 7 feet tall. Big Mama had been topped and mainlined and holy cow she was HUGE with eight main colas. Little Sister had not been topped and she was less than half the size. The buds were beautiful as you can see from the photos. They weren't super fat, and they weren't super frosty, but they were like piles of spaghetti noodles with beautiful streaks of amber. There were bud sites ALL OVER. Near the end of the grow, as the buds were 99% ripe I started to see small spots of bud rot in Big Mama. That's when I pulled the trigger and started the harvest. COVID19 put a real damper on our harvest party, but we were able to call in a few friends from our 'bubble.' Big Mama's wet yield was around 2600g and Little Sister offered 1300g. I was totally astonished. I have to LOL any time I look at the numbers LOL. We trimmed all of Big Mama by hand, but lost our steam for Little Sister. Her trim was rough, and we will have to use our Trimbag to clear off some of the foilage... I adjusted my dry weight numbers to accommodate for this. We dried them in the mesh tiered dry racks for the first few days and then moved them into large paper bags. They are not quite as dry as I think they should be, and so I have adjusted my dry weight numbers to reflect this. Total dry weight for both plants is coming in at 2000g total which is around 4.5 pounds. We put a bunch in the vapes and had a whole lot of fun! The vibe is a solid hybrid offering lots of energy for chit chatting and talking shit. But it's not a racy energy... it's somehow relaxing at the same time. We watched Alone on Netflix and made out... while eating ice cream and chips LOL. I was properly stoned. Stoned as fuck. My eyes were completely red and Njaak was a squinting grinning mofo. He's saying it's his new favourite, and that's before it's cured. This bodes well! So we have put the weed back in paper bags for the cure and are excited about this one. The flavour... we are going with sweet with a bit of citrus, but I think we need a bit more time to let it cure before we could offer reliable data. I'll update more on that later.

D57/FD29 - Thing going grand with the Cookies so far (enjoying growing these Cookie Based Strains). Smell from it is divine! Touch a stem and its a lovely citrus smell left on you for ages! Noted in a previous comment, like a perfect sweetness, fresh lemonade. You'd wear it as an aftershave alright even!!! :P They're drinking a ton but not taking on as much feed (as I've come to expect now in flower) so dropped the base and bloom by 10% (same recommended ratio of 1:1) and kept the PK9/18 booster in there at what would be recommended strength for this week...its the same as last week but week 1 (week 4 of flower) of PK9/18 should have been double...didn't want to overdo it as when I used recommended strength 1st time I got it, it created some serious root zone acidification (Which could have been all the K getting used up but was a mare getting the pH up from 4.something every day!!!). Did my usual root flush/wash before adding feed as the EC had crept up to 2.2 (and I know from experience, that starts messing with your numbers if you don't wash that out right) and took about 50L-60L to get the tank to 0.3EC (base is 0.2) was was a lot of salt sitting on/in the roots. Had a ton of underscreen dead leaf to pick up and just cut some wee straggly offshoots (I know, bad idea this late in flower but they were basically dead/no nutritional value left so basically a bug magnet). Still waiting on Bluelab to send me the RMA approved pH pen...been 2 weeks now since the RMA was approved and still no postage - using an "essentials" pH meter and just dipping in Calibration Fluids between each feed add to ensure some accuracy (As you can see from my recipe page, I like to know what the feed does to the pH - also gives an idea on what they're feeding on when you see pH swings in a different direction that expected). Geeklight also got back to me. In all fairness, I've been dealing with them direct (Got the light fixture from Alibaba, direct from China - big gamble, right???) and they have been more than helpful. I have been telling them about the light randomly coming on at 5% (lowest brightness) and provided evidence; turns out someone else now noticed the same issue with the Remote App controlled variant too and they believed it was a loose control board/wire. They said they did some stuff and that fixed it but I also thought mine was fixed by forcing the dimmer to 0% and it still randomly happened (even though it didn't do it for weeks) so the other person may still get a surprise!! 😋 So, I took out the driver today, pulled out the control board and all wires seemed good and no looseness in the control board (although it does look slightly bent as the Spade for the IR/UV switch isn't fully bedded in). But, like I say, in all fairness to Geeklight, they're posing me a new control board tomorrow from China AND giving me the longer driver cables so as I can put the driver outside of the tent! Give me a bit more room for my Flower Initiator (and hopefully UVB Tube) and great to see them honouring the Warranty. RHC Seems to be flowering nicely as can been seen from the pics. Stacking well, buds coming along. Slight pinkish tip to the pistils on some buds but not the shocking pink as you'd see in the sales pics...hopefully it goes there though! Also noticing a bit of an early frost on a few flowers...like real good frost! And this is only day 1 of week 5 (I know, I do this diary arse about face)!!! Hoping Geeklight get this driver control board and longer cables to me quick so as I can get the driver out of the tent as I'd really like to get the UVB in there to frost them up in a week or 2!!! May only be getting about 9" clearance though so dunno, could be dangerous!!! 12" is the lowest recommended...but then, I could do the 15 min burst lighting (On 15, off 45 min every hour) so lower the risk of burn but get them more exposure (but lowers the lifetime of the tube). They get UVA from the LED's on the light at the moment for a 1/3 of the day and have been since early veg so should be hardened to it by now!!! Anyway, think that's enough s**te chatted by me!!! Day 36 (2020-06-14): Changed out the reservoir today with fresh 5.6 PH. I am trying adding in an ice pack each day to keep res temps closer to 68F. I think this should help the algae growth I am still fighting. Day 37 (2020-06-15): Stretching in full effect. Topped off the reservoir with another gallon since so much was consumed overnight. PH at 5.65 Day 38 (2020-06-16): Officially off the Blumats. They have really turned out to be more trouble than its worth in my opinion. I've spent just as much time fiddling with them (probably a lot more!) and the reservoir as I would have just hand watering. Maybe better for larger grows. Hand watering out the rest of the current reservoir. Did some accidental major defoliation. Kind of a "whoops" moment, just wasn't paying attention to how much I was pulling off! The G14 really needed it bad though. Due to its mutant nature it seems much more leafy as there a lot of "two headed" growth patterns with double the veg as compared to normal. Day 39 (2020-06-17): Things are looking OK after the Blumat switch and mass defoliation. Day 40 (2020-06-18): Watered today, 5.8 PH, 50% Pre-Flower Megacrop around 1/2 gallon each plant, but about 25% of that was runoff. Day 41 (2020-06-19): Watered, around 1/4 gallon each @ 5.75 PH. Did some LST to even things out. G14 canopy is a bit taller than the CBD but not sure what I can do about it at this point. Out of room in the tent to widen things out much more! I might slide a brick under the CBD to raise it to keep even lighting. Day 42 (2020-06-20): Watered again, 5.8 PH. I raised the CBD Crack so the canopy is even with the G14.

Week 9 (24-3 to 30-3) 24-3 Temps: 19 to 23.5 degrees Humidity: 47% to 69% Watering: 1000 ml. Did some LST and supercropped some branches. Also removed some leaves. 25-3 Temps: 18.9 to 23.7 degrees Humidity: 51% to 68% 26-3 Temps: 19.1 to 23.9 degrees Humidity: 50% to 64% Watering: 1000 ml. Timer set to 12/12! 27-3 Temps: 18.5 to 22.9 degrees Humidity: 54% to 69% 28-3 Temps: 18.8 to 23.3 degrees Humidity: 49% to 70% Watering: 1000 ml. EC: 1.5 (added CalMag) 29-3 Temps: 19.2 to 22.9 degrees Humidity: 55% to 70% Watering: 1000 ml. EC: 1.5 (added CalMag) 30-3 Temps: 18.6 to 22.8 degrees Humidity: 59% to 67% Watering: 1000 ml.

Day 48. They look as sad as pitty UK summer. Days are in low 20, nights as low as 11.... constant rain .... Have doubts about that strain, but #1 is getting somewhere ;))))) others in shade and dont grow as big as they should by now. Picky strain in my mind. My friend has last bean in greenhouse and she is weakest from 3 strains he tries . #1 lost two sets of bottom branches , #2 and #3 lost three sets each. They needed good clearing from worthless sides. Cleared all garden from fresh grow, aerated soil, put slug pellets and thats it. Came late so leaves are droopy. Plus i think heavily represent overwatering ;))) but with such air ..... I see some preflowers, so count this as last veg week. Will visit in two weeks to top up with PK boost. Have some crazy person in city , look what he does to one post box ;))) Happy Growing !!!
