The Rainbow Sherbet is still in stretch. The tallest plant is around 168 cm tall. The buds are still very small and with lots of white hairs. I assume the stretch should end very soon and the bud development should kick in. The plants do not smell yet but I think this will change once the buds get growing. I have added some Plagron Alga Bloom for some quick nutrients. The temperatures have been very warm and should stay like this for a while. Happy growing!

We're rolling into week 22, the 9th week of flower for these wonderful girls. Possibly the last week they'll have, at least the last week UKBS 1 may have. They've both shown great progress in terms of growth in the past week in my opinion, and the trichomes are beginning to present as cloudy with a smattering of amber. I like my CBN, so I prefer to let them amber slightly more than most. Rest assured I'll be keeping a close eye on trichome color in this next week or two. Timelapse is out for the week. I decided to remove and dry it as I really don't see a point in trying to re-attach it at this point in flower. -7/6/2021 - Another cola snapped on Carl 1. Her flowers are continuing to bulk up and are covered in glistening trichomes. She appears to be starting to fade which is exactly what I'm hoping to see, meaning that she's just about used up the nutrients in her medium. I watered today with 1.5g of de-chlorinated water which was then ph'd to 6.6 @ 72℉ turned her pot and shot a few pictures of her. 10/6- Today I watered her with 1.5g of her usual straight de-chlorinated water that's ph'd to 6.5 @ 72℉ and turned her pot. She's definitely starting to fade, is still stacking her flowers, bulking up and has an incredible amount of trichomes which I'm beginning to monitor daily. 10/8- The routine of watering every other day continues like clockwork. Yesterday was a 'no water' day and I did a basic check over of the plant, removed a couple of yellowed lower leaves and turned her pot. Today she got the usual 1.5g of straight de-chlorinated water that's ph'd to 6.5 @ 72℉ and had her pot turned. I've also begun to check her trichome development with a digital USB microscope to try to identify the ideal harvest time which will be in the next 12 days +/-. 10/10- Well, Week Eight has come, gone and has been a trial once again of my patience! She's so frosty and into her fade now that I've wanted to chop her several times but, I know from experience, good things come to those who wait... then wait a bit more. I anticipate that she'll be ready by the end of this coming week, and I can't wait! I've cut the wattage back on the HLG 650R to 500w at the wall now to simulate the way that sunshine becomes weaker as fall approaches due to the lower angle of the sun in the sky. This helps outdoor plants to know that winters on the way and they need to hurry up and complete their life cycle. Cutting the wattage back creates the same effect on the indoor plants, especially when coupled with lowered temperatures in the tent. I have also noticed that her water uptake has slowed. After her heavy watering on the 8th, her pot still had some weight to it and she was looking great so I went ahead and skipped watering her today, watering her tomorrow at lights on with her usual. Es la última semana antes de nuestra cosecha, el tiempo se nos echó encima y las Flores ya están echas, se preparó un lavado de raíces y tijeretazo,para sucesivamente colgarlas.( PRIMERA VEZ que se me echa el tiempo encima con la floración, jurao) Me habría gustado darles algo de estrés hídrico, pero lo veremos con las lemon kush y las northern light xL. -power plant xL es una cepa con predominancia sativa, con una corta floración,es un ejemplar fácil de cultivar, fuerte, y vigoroso. Estos ejemplares se cultivaron en 7L en sustrato light MIX de plagrOn, controlando en todo momento el PH de nuestras plantas, y dándoles de comer una gama advanced nutrients bastante básica. -PROS: facil cultivar, flores llenas de resina , flores compactas, ramas laterales largas. -CONTRAS: hay que tutorar por el peso de la flor, floración demasiado rápida a mi gusto (no te das ni cuenta). *Aquí ya me despido hasta la cosecha familia.

Good start to the week, at least from my view. Nothing much going on at the moment, not feeding much. Going to start feeding a little N this week and see how she goes. I believe the root mass is sufficient at this time for me to discontinue the usage of bloom booster to promote root growth, lol. Timelapse of the last week is coming soon, most likely tomorrow. I'm wishing they'd grow faster of course, I want to start LST and other training techniques to really blow up the canopy. Can't wait to select who'll be going outside or not. As usual, will update as the week goes on. -2/17 - Thought I'd overwatered the UKBS 2 due to a droop after watering, but it cranked a full 180 right back up to a praying position. Will monitor. Had some major deficiencies pop up but with some help from some top tier growers they were able to get me back on track.

Week 8, the last feed! Defoliated to let more air flow and light penetrate down into the lowers of the plant. Bud's are insanely sticky, plant is covered in frost, the pics don't do it justice.

Been 10-14 days since I fixed the lighting issue & she's flowering very nicely now. Tho the top of the plant is still a bit behind. There's a street light outside my balcony which still shines a bit of light over the wall that catches the top branches & I wondered if this could be slowing down the uppermost branches. I found some extra sun netting & have hung it on my pergola to block out the street light some more too. Not sure this will make much difference but it has the added benefit of giving her some more privacy as she is getting huge! Have seen some evidence of thrips & mealyworms, which seem to be kept under control by the bio insecticide I have been using. I thought I might have to prolong the grow til late October but the rate she's bulking up now I don't think she'll need to be out there for that long. Time will tell!

Week 6 Summary: First off, Happy New Year! May the new year filled with peace, love, joy and dank buds! 😄😉 Day 36-39: Despite my heavy defoliation they seem to bounce back quite quickly every time, but this is my first grow so I could be completely wrong and slowly murdering my plants... 😅 WC1 starting to frost up, the two double buds are starting to split themselves up while stretching: WIN! WC2 and WC3 really starting to show their size compared to just a week or 2 ago, really spread out now, and starting to stretch. Day 40-42: WC2 and WC3 really stretching now. WC2 almost catching up to WC1's height, and has probably spread out the most out of all plants when you compare it to a few weeks ago. Maybe defoliating is a good thing for Autos after all? I'm stoked about these. Although WC2 and WC3 are a few days behind of frost production it's definately starting to show itself by the end of week 6. Stoked for these!! These are stinking aswell, but for now the 4AM in the tent is sweetening it up! On to week7!!!

Unfortunately I do not yet know what I did wrong with the grow. The plants had difficulties in the vegetation phase and hardly formed side branches and leaves, which is why the yield was so low ... Nevertheless, the smell and taste of the buds is very tasty. Certainly a very good strain but I could never exploit its full potential ...

We are nearing the finish line! Both ladies look great, and the delicious aroma wafting from the tent brings a smile to my face every time. I think we should finish the run in about two weeks. 🍋🍋🍋🍒🍒🍒

Aug 3: this is a very promising looking plant. She’s quite big and flowering quite quickly which is a great combo. She was the exact same size as my other photoperiod until the start of flowering two weeks ago, and now she’s bigger and flowering faster. Humidity is quite low during the day so I’m continuing to mist the leaves a few times during the day. Did a foliar spray of Extreme Blend and potassium silicate this morning. Aug4: did a major defoliation to remove small lower buds and stuff that was growing in toward the centre. This improves light penetration and air flow which are super important but also forces the plant to direct the energy where you want at the main colas, and not wasted down below. Aug 5: lots of buds forming quickly on lots of decently uniform colas. Should be good. Big rain last night but plants were in dark garage. Watered this morning with 27 C water that had blackstrap molasses, soluble seaweed extract, Monster Maxx and Cal-Mag. Did all four on the weak side of the standard concentrations listed and just 1L used on the plant. Much cooler today so she won’t need as much water. Aug 6: added UV lights from AC Infinity. Very well deigned and manufactured like all of their gear. These are indoor lights so fair weather use only. This far north (53 N) we run out of strong sunlight before it gets too cold in the fall. Idea is to use UV lights for a couple hours each day centred at peak sun (currently 1:39 pm). UV light is the main environmental limit on THC and this will make the light in Edmonton in September more like California in July. Should have a big impact this far north. At other end of light spectrum, I use Forever Green Indoors (FGI) 730 nm far red light as a bloom booster. A few seconds at dusk is all it takes for the far red light.
