Lessons learned from week 1 of my first grow so far: the best watering solution I found so far is a mix of distilled water from the store and filtered tap water. with a final ph of 6 and ppm of 20-40. a little ph buffer goes a bloody long way. Use with caution. performing tasks like mixing solution and potting a germinated seed are best performed without a phone (camera) in one hand. the seed germinated within 24 hours using paper towels. I planted after 36 hours. After 24 hours of potting, the stem was already shooting up, and I turned on the lights, set to an 18 hour schedule. I wasn't quite ready for this, so it took me some time to research and get the desired humidity and temperature. At this point I added more nutrient in even quantities of FloraGro, FloraMicro, and FloraBloom, according to instructions. Perhaps a little early though, although after just one 18 hour light cycle this plant is shooting up like a rocket and showing leaves. I bought a fan for the inside of the tent and propped it up on a box, and a humidifier to bring the humidity from 40-50% to around 70%. Since it's a winter grow, I have to periodically increase the temperature to keep it at 25 °C. The intake fan, humidifier, and inside fan are significantly lowering the temperature. I'm also experimenting with finding the right humidifier settings since the humidity seems to increase a lot when the lights go out, and the machine is still new.

First full on flower week for these, they seem really f-ing quick for some reason, maybe it's the smart protein ... At this rate i'm gonna have an august harvest fully 12 weeks from seed lol, i'm not holding my breath because i'm realistic, but that would be f-ing nice as shit lol anyway i'm just following these ladies' cycle and giving some flower nutrients as well as some flower specific micro , had some bioflo around so just used that - didnt really over think this one, i'm just enjoying the show, sneaked into their room while they were sleeping to snap some pics , pretty dramatic with the lighting , hope you enjoy these ! Golden Grow Power Cloner cleaned and ready to roll. Tips to be harvested from Momma have been misted twice over the past 10 days. I’ll take cuttings tomorrow morning at lights on and update further. This is the first time I have run the Cloner in this little propagation tent. Typically, I see roots forming within 7 days and they need to be moved to the DWC cabinet by Day 14.

Kept defoliating and spraying the plants with Cannacure every 3-4 days. I'll be on holiday tomorrow so my roommate will take care of the plants for 2.5 weeks. How much longer would you guys say until harvest? I'm not so sure, could be 10 days or 3 weeks if you ask me...

It’s warming up outside so the a/c and dehumidifier are working a bit. Got the lights on during the night so just a few hours at lights on they work a bit hard. Cleaned up underneath removing any sucker shoots and leaf that was near the soil. Not much really. Mostly on #3 as I didn’t train out the branches as much and she grew tighter together, so I removed mostly all inner growth blocking light and that allowed a lot more penetration and flow. Left a few leaves below to die off naturally…more the better. Gonna put some Grub Grenades in the pots with some yellow sticky cards. Not because I see anything, just being cautious. I do see what looks like Springtails but don’t seem to be an issue yet. Still looking green and healthy so I’m happy! Grow on! Update Made a few adjustments. I let the tops grow into the tsw2000, 18” to tops. I didn’t like how they looked so I raised it back to 24” where I’ll keep it. The “Kind LED” I know from previous grows that it can’t get closer then 24”. But this is my first run with “Mars” so I’m still figuring out the distance for my setup with additional overlapping light intensity from other lights. With that being said another pod failed so I’m down 2-Kind LED’s now. Gonna remove all old tech and use all newer TS series lighting. All Mars moving forward. Seems to be a great light and when compared to other quality lights you can’t beat the price!

Week 3 nothing new just LST and water daily

The pistils on all plants are getting more and more brown, its time to check the trichomes now. I check with a handheld microscope and they are getting milky, but not yet amber, which means they are ALMOST READY TO HARVEST, but not yet. The amount of crystals produced under the Q6W-Gen.2 LED-lamps from SANlight is astounding, the plants are coated in trichomes! This week I stopped giving any nutrients in order to FLUSH the plants, this is VERY IMPORTANT in order to get a smooth smoke of the dried end-product. The aroma of the plants is VERY STRONG NOW, they smell mouth-watering. The Shiva Skunk has a sweet, musky smell with a fresh citrus note to it, its a delight to smell those plants. The Serious Kush smells EXTREMELY fuely and gassy, like the OG-Kush, but with an amount of buds like the White Russian, its FLABBERGASTING. I cant wait to try those two strains...😎

Oh cindy.... be mine ! They're all doing great , pushing out these typical sativa plant leafs, thin, long, real nice. this plant is squat but it got flipped a few days ago so lets see how it does with the stretch. Smell is getting serious by now, i dont know how that's going to work when i'm in the full flower probably i'll need a third extractor and a third carbon filter... the noise on these fans is insane though at 150W each it's not easy to stay in the room with the buzzing sound .... Did some training on these, two defoliations that "s a total of three so far. Funniest thing happened : i mixed my specialised micro (cal mag + "rare micro" like boron, mobi, etc) which is green powder with the Biotabs Orgatrex which is brown liquid and my feed ended up blue lol i still watered with it, so pray for my plants lol Veg is finally over ! Now it gets interesting ! 🚀

For the last day of the year we treat ourselves to the story of a special little girl. Her name is Biscotti, her name already says it all about the potential of this young girl born in Holland with this beautiful Italian Strain Name, she is precious and full of style since conception. She looks like she was designed by Pininfarina who smokes joints. It's a bit as if Gianni Versace had dressed her, extravagant, provocative, truly flamboyant, if you have the patience to look at the thousand photos that I made clear that I literally couldn't stop taking. It's a journey I don't want to leave, especially when I'm in the middle of it. terpenes, please leave me there! She grew up quietly, with her small internodal distance you could see that she was beautiful even without flowers, but it was when she flowered that she truly gave her best. Already from the first weeks of flowering you can understand very very well that the girl has a bright color and she threw resin very early thanks to Power Buds, Sugar Royal and Green Sensation in my opinion. The flowers have an imposing shape, they really are beautiful little purple beasts just in the dry room, for a few days soon we will do an initial test and then we will wait to taste it without too much fresh taste. I’m about sure to have rated 10 stars the strain and all feeding 5 stars but i found the strain rated 9 stars and the feeding 4, not sure but almost sure. I often get sad when I cut it, I'm too sad to cut it, I always think I'll smoke it and everything, but it's so beautiful that it makes my heart ache to cut it. It's her life cycle, otherwise she would rot for goodness sake, it's a joke but I really have a moment of shock in her heart. She'll move on to the first vaporized one I guess. Technique used - She was worked with a. single topping cut but leaving the two branches lower than the cut, thus obtaining 4 main branches with the relative branches. I also did a bit of LST at the beginning but having space problems then I decided not to let it expand too much. Flowers are beautiful beasts for truly yummi. Fertilizers - We have to make a special mention of Plagron I wrote a review in this diary which only partially explains how good this line of fertilizers is. I feel like I saw with my own eyes the changes in the plants when I gave the additives, I really saw the plants push in resin and everything. For more information read the review, I don't like to be repetitive, I don't write the quantities, they are also in the diary and in any case very similar to those recommended by the manufacturer. Never exceed this with any fertilizer and always flush. Light and home - The light was provided by MarsHydro and the home as well, it is the SP 3000, a piece that is not of the latest generation but which I love for its length of around 110 cm which you can understand how it covers me super well, the 120 wide wide grow room cm, 60cm deep and 180cm high, always supplied by them with a better than average covering by a lot and fantastic windows from which to spy on the girls. I really love accessory holders that hang either inside or outside the growbox. top brand now leader. There are many photos like my passion for this wonderful plant, look at as many as you want but if you have the patience to get to the end there are various super crop terpenes, beautiful and big like Porcini Mushrooms. Okay, ladies and gentlemen, I am starting to get concerned.... This girl should i've been in flower for a while now considering she is in such a small pot ( 1gallon ) ... i'm starting to think I'm going to have to flip her tonight... I'm starting to think she is not an autoflower...idk tho .. Herbies Seeds thank you for letting me showcase her. If indeed she is not an auto flower, I would not hold it against you as I know mother nature is unpredictable and nobody, not one breeder, out.There is perfect ... hopefully everything works out well.But she's running out of nutrients, because she should be flipped already.. Especially being in such a small pot, she should be almost ready for harvest, and as you can see, she's running out of nutrients because the growdots our for a cycle of 5 weeks of veg not 9 or 10 ... i top dressed with more grow dots.We'll see how this pans out... Langsam bilden beide Terpene. Für mich sind Terpene der wichtigste Punkt bei Cannabis. Der Geschmack bzw. Terpene haben großen Einfluss auf die Wirkung, deshalb bin ich sehr auf das Terpenenprofil gespannt und ob ein Phenotyp vielleicht ein Keeper wird. Das ist nicht mein erster Run, aber die Vorfreude ist genauso groß wie beim ersten Mal. Ich denke ich konnte die Sorte Melonade Runtz (fem) bis hier hin schon ganz gut repräsentieren 💚🍀

She is getting big. By my calculations, I should have just enough room in the tent for her if she stretches out to about 3x her current height. Flipped her to flower on Friday of this week. Let’s go 😊

Finally starting to smell that heavenly smell and seeing budlets exploding everywhere. Both girls were defoliated a little at a time over the past week to expose any prime bud sites. So far both strains have been lovely and easy to grow as long as Nutes are fairly light. Will keep updates through the week and as always happy growing everyone!😊🤙

the girls gain 1cm a day :) they are still quite vigorous, quite green; I expect another week of stretch before they concentrate on the buds. maximum dose of alga bloom, green sensation and sugar royal. my whole tent is occupied by the canopy; would a little defoliation be necessary? i'll take any advice :) One small thing: look at the 2 last pics, it looks like a "twin head", I've never seen that before EDIT : finally defoliated them next morning (see last pic), they now breathe again :) EDIT 2 : a small research on web & i got my response : "twin head" = polyploïd cannabis

Day 29 - Things going along nicely .... i trimmed down some of the bigger bottom leaves, i didn't have enough soil to fill the pots, and the plants are short, bushy, weird little things, that filled out the inside of the pots..... they are only 15cm tall, but the leaves are 10+ cm .... really weird little plants.... haha.... i decided to trim the fk out of one of the ones in the double pot, and practiced topping on her.... i'll cut her down maybe trimmer her of the pot, and focus on just the 2........ they seem to be still growing upwards, so i'm not in a hurry to put em into flower mode......... on the main one i noticed some neut deficiencies ... so i upped the neuts.... should be ok, i put a good heavy neut and it stopped the spots etc..... i think some bug or something got in the double pot and is livin in there, but he doesn't eat much, haha....... the main stalks are as big as my thumb and under each canopy is all the branches..... it's really strange, to go in under all the growth and see it all .... they look kinda small, but the entire under canopy of leaves is all full .... i'm moving the huge sized leaves out and pulling each branch up over them as they grow..... this is 21 THC and 19 CBD, so it's all the good stuff for medicine ... the smell is getting abit noticable and i'm hoping the exhaust fan arrives from china soon.... just got positive ventilation into a carbon fil. ... and daily air out........ i think i had the led lights too low..... so i'll raise em abit more and see if i can get em to stretch .... Day 30 -- added some video's...... daylight vids... worth watchin for a laugh ...... first grow, so idk what i'm doin, ... any help/comments appreciated Day 32 -- added some pics of the late night trim and LST,... idk looks ok.... The third week has been an explosion of growth. The last two days, (day 20-21) have been growing like crazy. Excited to see what happens in the following week with growth vs the plant getting ready to flower. I’m thinking I will see pistols any day now. LST has been a great success. Pulled plant down at third node. Took the training very will and was fully rebounded by the next day. Second round of LST I was a little rough and broke off the largest fan lead trying to open her up to get another spike in. Currently she has three stakes in pulling her down and directing a stem in the opposite direction. I think that in the next few days I will be applying around 3-4 more stakes pulling more of her nodes apart. I did a very very light nutrient fertilizer this week because I feel like she is starting to get all the nutrients from the soil. The fertilizer was essentially all CalMag, mykos, great white and humic and fulvic acids. Her color is great and growth is really taking off. Next week will be a nice feed of black strap molasses to feed the microbes. PAR at the top is 430

Nutrient issues starting showing up. I used Mels square foot gardening soil mix and the chicken and cow poop has tons of nitrogen so i believe there was too much and started to get nitrogen toxicity..
