Left these ones out a bit to long and not nearly enough love, so they suffered a bit but that's ok. I am going to experiment and try water curing the buds. First time ever using this method and I think it will make a good little project. No idea how to it will turn out, been reading it will remove most of the smells and that sucks but the smoke is very clean and light. Only time will tell. take about 7 days to fully water cure. bud washing helped get rid of a lot of extra that stuck to them outside.

Organic Cookies Original sensible Seeds Girl scout cookies 8 weeks of flowering completed 29th March 2020 Hi Everyone I hope you are all well and staying safe during these strange times we are all facing at the moment. This Girl scout cookies plant is getting closer everyday but so is the risk of mold . Ive already needed to chop out a few pieces of flower that were starting to turn moldy so it's been a very stressful and watchful week for me. Ideally I'd like to let this plant go atleast another week or even two but with the weather the way it is and the forecast for is yet to come suggests i will need to harvest well before then if I'm to get uneffected buds that can be safely smoked. I havent been game to even water her for the last 3 days due to the very high humidity but luckily she is showing no sighns of being thirsty or needing any food. Hello. Got the plants into the main grow room. There is 2 videos . In the first I just sit in the room quitly and turn the camera. you get a sense :) of what it's like in there. In the second I try to describe what's in the room, equipment and maybe a new technique. With the tomato cages I use, and needing the plant to slow down, I twist the stock into a large figure 8. Eventually I take off what is on the lower part of the 8, and just work the top of the 8. About 2 weeks in veg in this room. Then I take clones of everything before I switch to flower. >Carbon dioxide enhancement: I had to make that choice 20 years ago. I could, rent a tank and have my name on a list, at the gas store. Or make my own. They didn't have the small propane tanks like they do today for the blue flame you get when you burn it. I decided on a kerosene lamp burning down as low as it could be without going out. It makes a half blue and half yellow flame. I vent constantly so the small amount of carbon monoxide is not a problem. For the first week you can smell it a bit, but the smell disappears after that. I light the lamp in the morning and put it out at lights out (unless it's bed time). It needs to be put in a place in the room that cant get knocked over (pets, children, ?). I try to use extra attention whenever I use it. It can burn down the place. Be careful Please. >About 17 years ago I thought I'd lower my table by knocking a hole in the cement and dropping my 10 gallon reservoir more. I was able to lower it by 16 inches. Still have to watch the height of some plants though, it worked out well. Watch the video. > Air cleaner: The reason I got a big 8 inch exhaust fan was, I had a bout of powder mildew and needed better a exhaust system. When I plugged it in there was too much air moving. I phoned and asked and the salesman said that a dimmer switch wasn't a good idea. I put one on anyway. Works great. I have the fan barely on in the winter and about half way on in the middle of the summer. I haven't had any powdery mildew since. About 12 years ago I bought a good air cleaner. An ORECK, It has electrified plates that zap any organic particle or spore that come between the plates. Use to grow a Northern Lights that got 6 to 8 ounces per harvest, it grew big buds. Buds as big as my forearm. I had problems with gray mold attaching the buds. But none since I bought the air cleaner. Ya learn as you go.

A good week here in the tent. The girls continue to grow and progress. Getting a small amount of water daily. Looking for more progression then I'll transplant the best looking ones.

Al final de la semana, cambiamos el ciclo lumínico para pasar a 12/12 Floración.

Welcome Back!💚 Die erste Blütewoche ist vorbei und die Pflanze entwickelt sich weiterhin prächtig. Die Blütenansätze sind schön erkennbar und die Pistilen bilden sich allmählich aus. Überraschenderweise wirken die Blätter sehr Sativa lästig, wobei genetisch eine Indica Dominanz vorherrschen müsste. Außerdem ist ihr Wuchsverhalten eher Indica dominiert. Heute war es auch Zeit den Green House Feeding Dünger einzubringen. Bin sehr gespannt, was am Ende raus kommt. Another successful harvest. This time it was my perfect girl, a very good strain, easy to grow, fast, and without many demands. Besides the controlled environment, it has a wonderful smell. The buds were very dense and sticky. Every time I touched the scissors, a strong smell emitted that filled my room. I really liked the result, and this will definitely be the first of many. My favorite so far! ✌️💪🌿🍁

Week 3: Since this is my first grow, I love to see how quickly the cannabis plant grows, and it's accelerating rapidly. They are thriving and healthy. This week, I used fertilizer for the first time, starting with half the amount recommended in the feeding schedule. 0,5/ml per liter.

Bit of nute burn appeared on just one of these phenos overnight. I think this is as this plant flowers longer than my nute charts so did a bit of experimenting. Wil dial it back a bit at this stage next grow to avoid this and have dialled back a bit now, moving forwards. It's not too bad and still seems localised to certain parts of just one plant so not gonna stress about it.

The flowers have started to swell and increase in size nicely. She's not stretching much, so I guess, these 18cm will be it. She's getting a really shimmery purple colour. I tried capturing it in a video. I removed some of the older leaves to optimize for light and optimized fertilizer for bud size (Hi PLAGRON Alga Bloom!). Give us all your CBD goodness, purple lady!

Humidity Day 40-45%, Night 60-65% Internodes are very close together. was hitting 450umol at seedling level making it absorb more than it can use, reduced to 280-300umol @18 hours as expected vertical growth increased. During the 18 hours of daylight the first 9 is highly saturated in blue, 5000 kelvin, the 9 hours thereafter are closer to 3000 kelvin. Last 9 hours dosed 280nm. Height is too far to cause damage. UVB light is not detected by plants in the same way other wavelength/colours are. UV cannot be measured using umol as it doesn't drive photosynthesis. The plant has tiny little sensors that get set off to even little amounts, dimer salt bridges, the UV decays these salt bridges, which initiate response. You don't need large/long exposure doses for the plant to recognize UV is present. What's an enzyme? Think of it like a multiplier, you can add an enzyme to any particular biological process to vastly increase its proficiency at a particular process. Cannabis plants take blue/violet light and use it to create an enzyme called "photolayse". This allows the plant to repair UV damage done to the plant using a process called excision repair, this repairs the damage at a much much faster rate than it could by itself. Repairing 100% damage. The key is the plant needs time to build a reserve of the repair enzymes before using it. This is replicated in nature as, by midday UV levels peak, the generally cooler mornings allow lifetime to build up. The problem I encountered was dosing with 280nm lights on or 1 hour after the lights were on. Photomorphogenesis, the plant plans for the future of its growth, if the wavelength is not present during growth then how can it plan accordingly? The very presence of UV changes parameters with which the plant will grow, light itself dictates the growth pattern of the plant. Not only that it can dramatically alter the regular terpene profile of a strain in unexpected ways. Gran daddy purple grown using 280nm can triple already high terpene linalool. Linalool is terpene best known for lavender, largely responsible for its beautiful smell. Trouble sleeping you say? Having tried Durban poison from a dispensary and reading about its levels of tetrahydrocannabivarin. I've always wanted to taste the difference UV would make to such an already stand-out strain such as Durban.
