Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. Hello , GG going well , have upgraded light to a Mars Hydro Fce 4800, 480w . Great fit for my 1m X 1m tent. Currently dimmed down to 150w. Good quality build, looking forward to see what it can do. Day 30 toady, i switched to 12/12 3 days ago e the babies are already stretching hard and some are showing preflowers i'm pretty happy i'm watering with no nutrients as i'm using Canna Pro Plus soil and it should have enough nutrients for the first 3/4 weeks of flower. I cleaned the bottom of the plants from lowers branches and leaves and i will continua till day 14 of flower and i fixed it with a bamboo stick i got gifted from @AlpineGoat i will fix the other branches in the next weeks i'm pretty stocked with this grow this genetics are really solid growing strong and fast! Hello! 32 sprouts feel great! In 2 weeks I will choose the 16 best plants. and transfer them to flowering mode. The fight for a place in the grow tent begins! Only the strongest will remain!

Week 4 Update – Progress and Adjustments 🌱 It’s been another eventful week in my grow tent! Here’s how things are shaping up: GHF#2 Update: I decided to let GHF#2 go and followed the community's advice to rename #3 to AN#3. I’ve been preparing my osmosis water with CalMag Xtra, bringing the EC to 0.35, and adding nutrients to reach a total EC of 1.2. AN#3 This plant has been a challenge from the start, struggling with deformed cotyledons and unusual leaf patterns. However, there’s finally some good news! The roots are healthy and reaching the pot’s edges, and growth is picking up steadily. Adjusting the pH and nutrients seems to have helped a lot. BioBizz#1 I’ve moved this one to the larger tent, and it’s been performing well despite a slightly yellowish tint. It’s now on its way to flowering (currently at BT2). Unfortunately, the usual CalMag deficiency has reappeared, even with 1.3ml/L CalMag and 0.05g/L Epsom salt in the feed. AN#4 This plant is thriving with no visible deficiencies, drinking 1L per day. However, I noticed pre-flowering signs while still on an 18/4 light schedule. Has anyone else experienced this with photoperiod plants? Otherwise, everything looks great, and I’ve been feeding it at an EC of 1.5. Container Size Feedback I’ve realized that 9L pots are a bit too small for my setup. I’m watering 3L every two days now, and I believe 12-15L pots would be ideal for future grows. Timelapse Recovery! For AN#3, I identified a potential issue with the pH of the drain water—it was as low as 5.3 after its first feeding with Advanced Nutrients. Before that, it only received plain tap water. I’ve corrected this with pH-adjusted water (6.6) and nutrients at an EC of 0.9. You can see its steady recovery in the timelapse! Overall, things are coming together, and I’m excited to see how the plants perform in the coming weeks. Thanks for following along!

So far so good, we are at the 5 veg week, the hulk berry is shooting up many pre-flowers. The RO water has been great, using this clean water is much better and you see a strong difference, and you are able to dial the ppm/ec without the interference of random stuff plus the chloride and fluoride that comes with tap water in my region. This version of the Hulkberry i have is a bit more on the sensible side of things, se feels already if you keep touching her, also better not to nuke this strain with nutrients from what i have seen so far, so I’m going easy on her. The other two strains form Kannabia, one been the unstable version of Purpple Kush, got many aliens already out of some seeds, and ironically a Lucky dip, mystery strain is extreamely vigorous and nice to work with. A side from that i have chosen two HLG QB324 V2 quantum board with a Meanwell 320H-54a driver to build a DIY light, with passive Heatsink and 90 degree optics to power the flower tent, so basically i will move this plants to the other tent in a week or two when i get this build. This is a huge step up for me since i was using a generic Chinese blurple led. My setup changed a lot and i will try to keep things consistent, i may have some adaptation going on to drive all this new perpetual style grow.

May, 8th Plant is still stretching, And Building some woonderful Flowers too A lot of WWork and Energy for the Plant I feed her in every Watering because shee is geting alittle Pale/ limy And I added some Calmag too, to help with Photosynthesis because she has still a big need In Nitrogen , added some flowering Nutrients, too

After 7 Day From 2" Pot to 3 Gallon Fabric Pot Keep Going on My First Season! 😁

This week I low stress trained plant a bit and removed a few leaves that blocks light for lower nodes so it grows more equally! In the end I am moving to my main flowering tent.

Everything is looking good. Continuing to water as usual. The Tropical Cooler had high PPM of nutrients so I flushed it. Other than that just checking the trichomes to see when I want to harvest. (4.2) Smell update Blueberry Swirl has a deep lemon smell, Fat Banana has a buttery lemon scent. Tropical Cooler still smells like a fruit salad that description is dead on! Lemon Haze x Gary Payton has a fruity smell with a lemony undertone. ( 4.4) Flushed all plants to about 250ppms (Parts Per Million) plan on harvesting soon. Have never flushed before bud smoke has been harsh previously so I’m giving it a try.

: - Day 1 week 5: just checking how lst is doing, they will be ok - Day 2 week 5: not completely dry to water so I’ll wait for day 3 of week. Did lst to make sure all branches receive as much ligth as possible - Day 3 week 5: watered them with 4ml/L calmag and 2ml/L bio grow ph 6,5 tap water trough activated carbon filter. RHC#2 broke one of the branches, I had to tape it. Not to be worried, she’ll recover from that. RHC#3 is very slow compared to the others. - Day 4 week 5: defoliation so sun enters better and wait. - Day 5 week 5: added 1L of water with 2ml/L Bio grow, 6 ml/L calmag and 2ml/L bio heaven. 1600 us/cm and ph 6,2 - 6,5. RHC#3 suffered of broken branch due lst 😞 still learning about the flexibility of branches. I think she’ll recover hoping not too much stress for her. - Day 6 week 5: RHC#3 looks good despite broken branch. Not much for today just watch temp and humidity, hoping they grow tall so I can cover a good part of the tent. - Day 7 week 5: water with the usual calmag and biogrow ph 6,3. Defoliated every 3 days or so to keep light enter every branch
