Overall, the Bling strain grew very weird initially, however, it did suffer some trauma and grew 3-point leaves for awhile. Resistance to PM was not good, but was able to keep it at bay until harvest time by daily spraying of Athena Mildew Control. I prefer to use this as I was using H2O2 and it burned leaves because of the pH change. My other harvested plant, Mimosa did not do as good from that spraying, but more on her in my other post. Getting back to Bling - I felt the buds thickened up nicely in the end, with hues of purple calyxes coming out as well as with some leaves. Smells wonderful and looking forward to smoking some after the cure. More to follow...

Ho rimosso tutti i gangi che tenevano fermi i rami in modo che la pianta si sentisse libera di crescere in altezza, va che una meraviglia da vicino si può già vedere una quantità di tricomi non indifferente...unico problema una cavaletta che ha mangiato alcune foglie ad alcuni rami e appunto a rallentato quei due rami....ma secondo me andrà tutto bene, certo se avessi avuto un posto al chiuso e darli qualche ora di più di luce sarebbe stato magnifico, ma così mi devo accontentare della luce solare.....( Che in Puglia e abbastanza)

2/13/2023 - Day 42: Start to week 6. Overall the plants are doing good, except the weird tip curling and yellowing. Initially i thought it may be either under or over watering, but the soil seems good. Not too wet or too dry. Then I thought possibly nitrogen toxicity, but the leaves don't look overly green. I now think it may be heat or light related, so I lowered the power on the light and raised it up a few inches. I also lowered the temp in the tent a few degrees. It could also be the new soil is a bit too hot still, and I've been throwing the kitchen sink at them, so I plan to just water with plain water the next few times and hopefully they will grow out of this. Plan to add the trellis net this week and start spreading the tallest plants out. 2/14/2023 - Day 43: Added the trellis net and did some light defoliation on the lowest part of a few plants. Plan to do more of a major defoliation next time I water. Also, the new growth appears ro be doing better, so I think raising the light fixed the problem. 2/16/2023 - Day 45: watered about 3.5 gallons, which is about 5% of the volume of the bed. I'm pretty sure the leaf curl I was seeing was a combination of light or heat stress, and slightly too much nitrogen, which is likely from the foliar spayed I was doing. Considering this, I decided to add a few things to the water. I mixed in ThermX-70, Comfrey Extract, Yah-Whey, FishShit, Rootwise Bio-Catalyst, and BuildASoil Big 6. I also did some additional defoliating to allow for some additional light penetration into the middle of the plants. Just started bending the tallest branches under the scrog net as well. Let's hope the girls have a positive reaction. 2/18/2023 - Day 47: did my weekly IPM. Foliar sprayed with distilled water mixed with BuildASoil EM-5. Also, realized I made a slight mistake. When I turned the lights up the other day, I never turned the schedule back on, so the lights have been on for 3 days straight. Luckily, the plants are still in veg, and they seemed to handling it well. The Grand Prix 3 had some minor leaf curling on the edges of some leaves, bit otherwise they still look good. They are back on 18/6 now.

Weekly update on these beautiful ladies. A little late on the update I was out of town for the weekend and couldn't get to it before I left. Aug 24: starting the sixth week of flowering. I’ve added another Scrog layer mostly to help keep fan leaves out of the way and expose the bud sites. This “loose Scrog” or whatever technique works quite well. She’s fairly leafy but the buds are coming. 👍 defoliated to remove fan leaves that were growing toward centre. Don’t want to overdo it but there needed to be some removed. Aug 25: nice sunny day and had the UV lights going. Took flash pics just before using the 730 nm far red light. Don’t use a flash like this if you don’t have the red light as you might cause it to hermie. But you can get great flash pics. 👍 Aug 26: looking good. Watered with potassium silicate this evening. It’s a strong base and it takes a fair bit of vinegar to get the pH back down to about 6.4. That’s fine though because the microbiota (‘bugs’) will appreciate a serving of easily digested acetate. That’s part of why it’s better to use vinegar than HCl. Chloride would not help but the organic acetic acid does help.

Day 52 - before pic/vid pulled em both out scrubbed tanks..... moved em into a different tent, with a different light.... did up completely different solutions, and currently still building it all.... Day 53 - still buildin... vids of new home... Nutrifield, Rock Nitro, 1200-1500 ppm and 6.5 PH.... see if we can give em a good boost.... left em in pure water before puttin em in new solution.... Day 57 - pics vid.... been adjusting ph... down to 5.8.... they are just growin along nicely in the new home... got a fan for the tent... looks good tho... solution temp is abit high, fan will fix that..... changed just the tanks to 5lt Cereal containers, they are alot taller, more room below the container... fits perfect.... This is my second run of Dutch Passion with my first being a monster Blueberry Auto. Massive plant, and her pungent odor overtook my entire home while trimming her today. While trimming her it smelled like I was in an earthy Pine Forest with a hint of berries, and it was one of the strongest smelling plants I've ever run. Very easy to grow, responded to all training methods with VIGOROUS growth. I topped her above the 7th node and removed the bottom one so I had 12 mains total. It took me almost 8 hours and I even had help for 4 hours.. Trimming is definitely my least favorite part of cultivating this species. I am super impressed with this strain and really everything Dutch Passion. They have not even sent me a single seed or even acknowledged me on here but this is my second run of their autos and I anticipate each will be a massive yielder. I will probably take a month off then start a run of a few photoperiod mainlines. I did get some nasty burns, but as you can see on the last picture they look way better now. They seem to grow fine. Today on the 22th i watered them for the first time after watering them 11 days ago while putting them in the 2l pots. (500-600ml each plant) The cripple still is slower but it seems like it also recovered. On the 22th the Special Queen #1 seed did germinate and on the 23th the root did come out so i did put it in the 2l Pot, but this time without Bio Tabs, i only did use mycotrex (2g), the rest will come with the 11l pot then. I think i over watered it a little bit since the new leaves are hanging a little bit (the first leaves did hang from the beginning so i doubt that is water related with those) I also noticed today for the first time, when i open my tent it does already smell pretty tasty. Didn't thought it would happen that fast. Also i already learned a lot. Even tho i tried my best to inform myself from the beginning, i made many mistakes which i will never do again. You can prepare yourself as you want, you will still have some failures and that is fine. So im not ashamed of my little plants by now. I will make them survive and a great final result. Looking forward to the next weeks. /edit Last day of the week. There were Roots at the bottom of two pots, so i decided to plant them into the final 11l Pots, i also added biotabs (little bit less since both had some of it from the beginning. Everything went fine. The next days i will give them slowly more ppfd and next week i think i will top them and also tie them a little bit down.

Week 5 baby! What a smooth ride this has been - these ladies are absolutely flying through veg. Gave them some cooler water today and they're vibing with it 💚 Still keeping nutrients minimal, just 1-2x weekly when they ask for it. Less is more with these girls!
