Hello Growmies, Week four of vegetation for our Epic Buzz by Anesia has been marked by remarkable progress and environmental optimization. The uniform growth has continued, with each plant reaching a robust 20 cm in their spacious 12.5-liter air-pots, signaling a very successful vegetative phase. The integration of the heater and humidifier into the tent's system has been a game-changer, allowing for precise control of the growing conditions. The environmental graphs are showing admirable consistency in temperature and humidity, which is key to maintaining an ideal VPD level for the plants, ensuring optimal transpiration and nutrient uptake. The Photone app indicates that the light intensity is within the ideal range for this stage, with readings of 150-180 PPFD. The lights, dialed down to 25%, along with the strategic use of IR lighting for 30 minutes at the transitions of the day, support the natural growth cycles of the plants. Concurrently, the UV lighting's midday cameo for 30 minutes is a masterful touch, potentially enhancing plant resilience and future resin production. Once the connectivity issues are ironed out, the Mars Hydro inline fan will be operational, enhancing nighttime dehumidification, a critical aspect of maintaining plant health by preventing excess moisture and the issues it can bring. This will round out the environmental controls, making them as meticulous during the night as they are throughout the day. The Epic Buzz plants are set to continue their vegetative journey in an almost perfectly controlled environment, thanks to the thoughtful and precise adjustments made around the garden. 5/18 It's not raining now but it's supposed to later. The plants are protected though. I have brought them out to continue hardening. It's only 57 degrees but they'll be alright. I used what little water was left in the bottom of the gallon to lightly water what looked like it needed it most. I mixed up another gallon and I'll check them again before they go in for the night. These plants are getting hardened off properly. I've had some pretty serious problems when I try to transition to quickly. I don't see ANY problems (knock on wood) thus far. Pink kush reminds me of purple punch. It grows similarly and starts off slow. I hope it turns the corner like the purple punch did and make up for it with the quality of flower. I topped/fimmed a special kush #1. I'll update when I bring them in for the night. This week I'll clean/sanitize the cage and the grow bags. EDIT: PLANTS SPENT A LITTLE OVER 3 HOURS IN THE LEAN-TO WITH INDIRECT SUNLIGHT AND EXPOSIRE TO OUTDSIDE AIR, TEMPS AND RH. I DIDNT WATER WHEN I BROUGHT THEM BACK IN. I'LL CHECK TOMM MORNING AND SEE HOW THEY LOOK. IT HAD JUST STARTED TO RAIN LIGHTLY WHEN I BROUGHT THEM IN. THEY ARE PRETTY SHELTERED FROM WIND AND RAIN IN THE LEAN-TO. 5/19 It's thunderstorms out with high winds so the girls will probably stay in today. They look like they are acclimating well. I can see where some of the FIMS took. I redid one I think. I'll update later if do anything. 5/20 Everything looked AMAZING this morning. Boy that MK ULTRA has get some thick branches already forming. Another shitty rainy day. I consulted chatgtp and it was on the same page as me. No real benefit to expose my girls to 47° Temps, cold rain qnd wind. It will be shitty a couple more days. I'll evaluate things later. WATERED EVERYTHING TODAY. TOPSOIL WAS DRY. I USED APPROX 2/3 OF A GALLON ON EACH PLANT. 5/21 I've got a super busy day. I left early and it was to cold to put the girls out. It's 55° at 9:30a.m. It may rain off and on but I think the girls would do okay in the lean-to. I need to get them ready and hardened for their forever homes. Time seems like it's flying. We are getting close to being able to put them out without risk of reveg. Plus I'm not subjecting my girls to un needed stress for no reason. I'll update what I do. 5/22 Plants were dry this morning. I used what was left in the gallon jug to water all the plants. I don't wantcto overwater and I'd like to keep the nutes in the soil where the plant can absorb them. Not just leak out the bottom. They are all growing at an incredible pace. It's currently 49°F at 9:45. It's overcast with a chance of rain. We are at what was suppised to be the high for the day. If we get above 55 I'll bring the girls out and continuing hardening. I guess it's not going to he an early season. Won't be long though and these girls will be in their final homes. I'm impressed with what I've seen so far. EDIT: ITS 4PM AND THE SUN JUST PEEKED OUT FOR A FEW MINUTES AND IS GONE AGAIN. PLANTS LOOK FANTASTIC. IM SO GLAD I KEPT THEM IN DURING THESE 40 LOW 50 DEGREE WET DAYS. IT'LL ONLY STRESS THEM IMO SINCE THEY LOOK SO GOOD. AS SOON AS THIS RAINSTORM AND COLD WEATHER PASSES WE SHOULD HAVE DECENT WEATHER. JUST A FEW MORE DAYS WHERE HIGHS ARE IN THE 40'S. I FEEL BAD FOR THOSE PEOPLE THAT SAW THOSE HIGH 70-80 DEGREE DAYS AND PUT THEIR PLANTS OUT. THEY ARENT DOING GOOD. JUST LOOKING AT THE FOLIAGE AROUND AND I CAN SEE TREES THAT ARE JUST LIMP. THE BLOSSOMS ON THIS SPECIES LOOK LIKE A CANNABIS PLANT IN VEG WHEN IT GOT COLD SHOCKED. ANYWAY MY BODY IS KILLING ME. I GOT A LOT DONE. AND I SOAKED MY BAGS FOR 40 MINS IN A MICTURE OF DAWN, H202 AND WATER. PRIOR I USED A WIRE BRUSH TO GET ALL DIRY AND STUFF OFF I COULD. THEN I SOAKED THEM AND AFTER I RINSED THEM. I COULD SEE THE H2O2 DOING ITS WORK. REALISTICALLY I SHOULD GET NEW BAGS. ITS JUST NOT IN THE FINANCES RIGHT NOW. OH WELL. THEYVE BEEN SANITIZED AND WASHED AND ILL GO OVER THE ONES THAT ARE STAINED AGAIN JUST TO MAKE SURE I DONT SPREAD SOMETHING. 5/23 What a miserable day. It's 44° and pouring out. I put a screenshot of tbe weather and you can see that after the next few shitty days we are getting sunny weather in the 70's. Light is long enough for them now. I need to dial back the timer morecto get them acclimated. I just have to clean up the cage and they are ready to go. Bags are sanitized. I'm going to spend some more time getting some algae off a couple. These plants are flourishing. I am happy I picked 1gal over 3gal before the transplant. It's turned out perfect thus far. Really looking forward to this. Oh and I watered everything a LITTLE bit as it was dry. Enough to get it through until they get a full watering before going outside. I also attempted a FIM on the other 10th planet. The FIM on the mk ultra worked and I've got at least three tops. 5/23 WATERED ALL PLANTS WITH APPROXIMATELY A HALF GALLON. Plants were all super light and dry. I keedcto water more volume at a time. This is easier than fixing overwatering. Things are getting tight in here. Plants are getting huge! The FIMs and Toping that ive done took. That big mk ultra has 4 or 5 tops on it! Plants look super healthy. Good weather is coming. They'll be in their forever homes shortly. It's working out perfect. Some of these plants look like they'll need a transplant soon. Still need to clean up the grow cage but that will only take a minute. Also need to fix a tear I made in a grow bag but again thats just normal small shit. If you look at the snap shot of weather I took you can see the weather is going to improve greatly. This is when I'll do the majority of work. I'll update anything else I do. EDIT: ITS 51° AND RAINING OFF AND ON. I MADE A "TEMPIRARY FIX" FOR THE GROW BAG THAT I HAD RIPPED. IT RIPPED FROM THE HANDLE DOWN AND A LITTLE DIAGONALLY. I THOUGHT ABOUT SOWING IT BUT OPTED FOR THIS EASIER METHOD. I POKED HOLES BIG ENOUGH TO SLID SMALL ZIPTIES THROUGH THE TORN PART OF THE BAG. I USED THEM TO "SUTURE THE BAG BACK TOGETHER. I THOUGHT IT TURNED OUT GREAT. I THEN USED GORILLA TAPE AND PUT A PIECE DIAGONAL OVER THE SMALL ANGLE. I DID THE SAME ON THE OPPOSOTE SIDE BEFORE RUNNING THE GORILLA TAPE FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE TEAR OVER THE BAG AND INTO THE INSIDE (COVERING THE VERTICLE STRIPS AND ZIPTIES). THE TAPE IS JUST SO I DONT LOSR SOIL AS THE ZIPTIES PRETTY MICH DID THE JOB. I ALSO USED A BUNCH OF H2O2, WHICH I POURED OVER THE ALGAE ON THE BAGS IT WAS PRESENT ON. IT FIZZED UP AND I WAS ABLE TO REMOVE ALL STAINS FROM SOME BAGS. I WORKED THEM ALL OVER AGAIN AND DOSLOSGED EPOTS AND SANITIZED ANYTHING THAT LOOKED LIKE IT NEEDED IT. ALL I HAVE LEFT IS TO CLEAN THE CAGE. AFTER WATERING THE PLANTS THIS MORNING THE JUNPED VISIBLY IN SIZE WITH LEAVES PRAYING TO THE HEAVENS. IM GLAD I HAVE TWO LARGE SOUTH FACING WINDOWS WHICH I HAVE OPENED THE BLINDS. I THIBK ITS ONE MORE DAY OF THIS AND A FEW MORE HARDENING THE GIRLS AND ILL BE ROCKING AND ROLLING. Alrighty growmies 👌🏻 so I’ve had a bit of a week set back due to issues, but back on track, the heat wave has definitely given a few girls a bit of a hard time not being able to attend but none the less, lifted the light again, trying to get on top of this PH fluctuating I’m having again using these stupid PH drops as my PH pen also keep jumping. Besides that I’ve managed to make a new home for the clones and got them under a couple UFO LEDs so that will house them for a few more weeks and al bring out the 600w HPS for them, but these runtz since being repotted have not taking nicely to it at all even using dynomyco so again hopefully by Friday they should be past that stage if not on flowering either way going to be a bomb scare when these taller plants start to stretch might have to bring out the net for sure 🤣🤙🏻 if all goes wrong at least I have my clones for back ups, keep eyes open for the incoming fire thou 🔥

I'm very happy with how these came out. They finished right in the breeders estimated flowering time and they smell amazing. The front plant has more of a really strong grape Jolly Rancher smell to it and the back one smells just like Fruity Pebbles cereal. Update 6/20: Just finished trimming the plants and they are now going into a curing bucket. Total dry weight is 211g and the bud smells incredible!

Day 85. All is good, could be a bit better, but no care brings such things ... AK's all grow like twins, solid and strong 40-50 g plants. I like them. Og's : one is violet and big, great plant. One is very small, one is okeish. Very variable strain, lets see how different product will be .. Happy Growing !!!

The harvest was super sticky. I mean fr it was frustrating but we got though it lol. It’s took a week to harvest all the plants with some help too. They all started drying at the same time but each one got cut at different days. Overall they all stink to high hell. I mean super stinky like damn what is that funk at stink. Lol they taste just as they smell and curing will only make them better. I also found some nanners on one of my plants smh ONLY DOWN SIDE

June 15: looks really good and will do second round of topping tomorrow. The last 30 days have been cooler than the historic average, and last year was way above average. So, she’s doing great despite cool weather. June 16: adjusted tie downs and watered with soluble seaweed extract. June 17: second round of topping to make 8 colas done this morning. Will do another round in a week or two to get the final 16 cola layout I want. June 20: released tie downs this morning. Looks really good on the last day of spring. Solstice and the photoperiods are right on schedule, unlike my two autos. Made second compost tea as shown in video. Key things are blackstrap molasses (sugar and trace metals), good compost, and I use coco coir for something for the bacteria to physically live on (substrate or matrix). #seedsman420growoff #seedsmanseeds

This new week since the soil is a soil improver specifically formulated for lawns, its task is to keep the pH around 8 and stabilize, there is peat that also acts as a buffer, I did a flush giving 2 liters of water since the vase is 3.2L at pH 5 to balance it with the runoff pH which is pH 8, since the pH is 8 the plant is unable to take nutrients as it should and therefore problems with curled leaves begin, which discolor, lose vigor (I wanted to do this experiment also for those who are new to it)

Trimmed these up and heavy tie down on guava shockers. Have 3 other plants 2 rotten mango 1 garlic in here. Think the got mixed won’t know till terps which of 3 is the garlic that has no mango terps.

There is so much to discuss ! I have been extremely busy as of late trying to get this Harvest together, but i am happy to have it here for you now ! I Seriously under estimated the amount of time, help from others, and my own necessary skills to pull this off.. and i still kind of screwed it up lol ! But its worth noting i have never actually done this before and trying to document it during....was extremely hard. It is next to impossible to work an iPhone with rubber gloves on ! First I want to discuss everything step by step so before you jump straight into the comments on how the end product is so small in "quantity" Rest assured i am happy with its"quality"...and thats all that matters to me because Life is a journey not a destination! and i have learned so much from this grow that I couldn't be any happy even if i messed some things up :) But at the very least I hope you read through this entry in its entirety with an open mind and focus more on the process, rather than just the outcome! I ran out of Ice & i was only able to wash three times..(normally I've heard you should go sometimes 5-6 washes) Preparation is Key & things will be much better next round :) Photos 1-22 These are pretty self explanatory but for those of you just tuning in now.. this is what happens to a very happy plant when you don't have the necessary tools to monitor key components of growing cannabis.. Ph, as well as EC levels play a very key role in the outcome of your grow lol that being said I was just able to save this plant by purchasing both tools but that doesn't mean the plant didn't suffer because of the prior events.. This was a Huge reason behind me choosing to turn this harvest into what i would consider "Solventless Hash Rosin" from "Ice water extracted Bubble hash". Pictures 23 The idea here is the process of using "fresh Frozen Cannabis" this has been discussed many a time online on such sites as instagram and here on grow diaries as well.. I personally have Never tried the process so i decided to try it out and make a judgement for myself.. Video 24 The Cannabis has now been in the freezer for 72 hours making it very well frozen.. as you can tell i struggled getting it all into the 25u Screen Wash Bag. One thing of note i would do differently is i will de-stem my next batch as i also believe this played a part in the amount of plant matter that escaped through the sieves. Photo/Video's 25-28 The idea here is "ice water Seiving" & especially with the bags that I am using here that are only have screen material on the bottom portion of the bag it is very important to have spaces in-between the screens to allow the water to pass directly through the screens into the bottom bucket with the least amount of resistance.. because the hash is so extremely temperature dependant if it gets warm on the side of the bag.. it will stick there and not make it to the bottom to become use able product.. 29 You do not need to use as much Ice as i used here lol... the idea is to keep everything very cold..i certainly achieved that but at the sacrifice of using so much that i ended up grinding product and producing "contaminants" but in the end they are just plant matter that i would be smoking when i rolled up my joint either way so.. I'm not super disappointed.. But it should be noted that what you want to achieve here is a Layering effect where you have the wash bag between two small layers of ice while the "water current" washes the Trichomes away allowing them to be separated by the screens setup below :) Before Starting the machine you should allow some time (i.e.;10-12minutes pre soak to allow the product to become saturated) before the first cycle. By video 32 I have just ran out of ice lol.. Video 33-34 Here I have a tip for you.. to separate the screens that you sieve through.. cut 5 gallon buckets to stretch them across nice and tight.. it'll make scooping your Bubble that much easier ! i learned this from the many "Frenchy" videos I have watched :) Picture 35 Here in lays the problem for most people.. drying your hash without loosing vast amounts of "Terpenes" whilst also stay ever vigilant against mold ! Thanks to all those videos I've watched on youtube.. id like to think this was one of my most successful parts of this process.. Things to Note; Terpenes start to seriously evaporate at temperatures 68F or 20C you need to stay as cold as possible whilst bringing the Relative Humidity in the space down into the 40-30% to stay away from that nasty mold ! I used my cold storage room in the basement.. with a dehumidifier running to keep the space at 45% RH & staying at a constant 15c. All while spreading the hash as thin as possible across parchment paper, on top of the white screens with a fan moving air across both sides of the paper. Pictures 36-38 These are some macros i took in the middle of my drying session I fell in love with the colour. Yes i know the black spots are plant material but they will get caught when i bag the hash & squish the oil out. Thing to Note; at this stage it is important to ensure you 'micro plane" the hash down as fine as you can whilst staying weary of the temperature... any "chunks" will hold pockets of moisture.. that lead to potential problems..ie; mold ... Picture/Video 39-41 Successfully planed bubble hash ready to be bagged and Squished ! Picture 42 Ive decided to follow Pedro.. from Pedros Grow Room and double bag to be on the safe side so i don't have any blow outs. So thats One 25u bag inside one 160u bag ! :) Pictures 43 This is almost 3 grams of the bubble hash from above, already melting in the bag.. this is where i ran into trouble again lol things started getting to warm in the house and i was only able to get one of the three squish's i did on video :( things started getting sticky. Picture 44 This is basically just a photo of the equipment I'm using; 3x5 LowTemp Cage in the frame I built myself, with a 20Ton bottle jack. Something to note here is this is an older Lowtemp model with only a single heating zone which is which i have it closed here heating Both sides of the press :) As well as the importance of having adequate pressure on your plates.. my rig is very overkill for the size of hash bags..lol Video 45 Here is the lovely press video.. its didn't quite work the way i wanted either lol my directional folding wasn't quite tight enough for a big "drip" :) &the Press was set to 65°c Photo's 46-50 are pretty self explanatory :) I had a blow out.. but still managed to pull an 80% return from the hash once squished...& yes it tasted amazing :) Was it worth it in the end... that could be debated.. for some..i understand..its not your thing, but for those of us that are interested in making our own concentrates.. free from Solvents... I wouldn't make it any other way :) If even ONE of you reading this diary finds it helpful to reference for ANYTHING.....even if its "what not to do" ill consider it a success !
