Brain damage grower choice genetics This plant is growing great definitely one of my favorites she is in flower very excited this strain has high resin production so we should see some nice frosty buds loaded with tricomes this is a high thc variety with heavy yields she bushed up beautifully set up great ready for flower she is very healthy no problems to speak of what so ever there are hundreds of tops on this plant so we should have a really nice yield if you go on the growers choice genetics website they have a great disruption of this strain run you through the different affects and smells and thc% really a nice strain the seeds came in a really cool little case with velvet liner and little folded up paperwork that tells you all about the strain your about to grow i in joyed that when the seeds came in so definitely a cool little package anyways the root system on this plant is huge completely took over this 50 gallon pot the roots are busted through the bottom of the cloth pots and firmly planted in the ground where u Literally have to rip the pots off the ground to move the plants around I’m going to be taking lots of pictures through this flower stage to document the bud growth and development closely having a great time growing this one

Day 18: The canopy is developping nice and evenly. I wonder how much mire they will stretch. I think that ill do some defoliation at the beginning of week 4 Day 20: Today I did a big defoliation right before the third flowering week ends. It was a tough job reaching all the leaves in the back because I cant move the plants.😅 But we made it! Now the light can reach much further down the plants for better/bigger buds and better aeration.

Well it’s the beginning of week 7. Still now flowering ??? Not so speedy after all. A few of them have stretched a lot. Hopefully that means flowering soon. It’s going well other than one plant out of six that’s doing poorly. It looks ok.

Filling out the trellis net. Looks like another 2-3 weeks until I flip the ladies. Using SST’s, LABS and natural inputs for this grow. I have made some mistakes in the past using Organics, but have figured out HOW to use them for an entire grow. The vegetative state, I have never had a problem with. The transition into the first 3 weeks is when I have had the most issues. After a little research and testing, I finally have a basic blue print of how to feed plants in flower for 10-12 weeks now or shorter. Mark Bowell from Perfect Gardens on YouTube and Mr Canucks Grow from Canada are my largest information inputs. Final Thank you to Mr McGooz for keeping me in the know. 10-11: yes, some of the stalks are turning purple. This is not due to phosphorus, magnesium, or any deficiency. It is due to the light being too intense for the plants. I am at the max distance and running the light at 30% ( it’s a 600 watt 🤣🤣). Soooo yeah, that purple is going to stay for a bit. Purple with other leaf discoloration or senescence IS a problem, purple stems with NO leaf issues isn’t serious issue. Cant it be fixed? We are going to find out….Photosynthesis Plus will be on hand in the next 5-6 days. This permits the plant to USE more of the photons ( yes, I have carbon in my media). This should minimize the purple and allow me to UP THE WATTS 🗣️🗣️ 10-14: spoke to my “guide” and we made the decision to go ahead and flower these ladies. We saw how much stretch there is to be had and realized we are currently filling the trellis by 75%. We are estimating the entire 4x4 area to be completely filled. I defoliated and pruned the smaller sites off the lower areas of the plant. Not quite lollipopping, just selectivity choosing sites to keep and bones that will get in the way. For transition I am using a ratio of 1:1:1 on NPK’s to ease the flip. The ppm’s will be between 750-800. Once we reach early flower, we switch the NPK’s to 1:3:2 ( flower girl by Dr Earth OR Fish bone meal and langbenite). I switch each feeding between the two for 5-6 weeks. At week 7 we switch to 0:3:3 ( seabird guano and Langbeinite) at 500 ppm’s. Week 8 the same feed. Week 9 kelpseaweed/water Only ( these are 10 week cultivars). Thank you for taking the time to read. 10-16 😍😍😍 Plants are starting to show deficiencies!!! Yes, normally one freaks out 😂😂😂 The slight deficiency is a sign that I can go ahead and start: The Flowering Cycle. When using Organics, you have to use your eyes because nothing is specific. Meaning: you have to see when the amendments are running out to A: Top Dress B. Make compost teas. We are going the compost tea route for flower. I made a video showing exactly what I use. The ratio is 5-5-5 ( yes earlier we were going to use 2-2-2, but we found out there is no calcium or magnesium in the all purpose mix by Dr Earth…another reason to learn to read your plants).

17/MAY/21 D:10: Didn't have any time over the weekend to visit the tent so I was excited/nervous about what state my girls would be in... And wow, she has definitely sprouted up and gained some decent growth. Very happy with how she is growing in my new setup! A very faint odour of the generic weed smell as I opened up the tent door, she is already leaving a weedy smell on fingers after gently inspecting the leaves. Gave her some water and a very light feeding of Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect Sensi Grow Part A & B 18/MAY/21 D:11: All is well, I keep forgetting to take a dustpan and brush so I can clean the floor 😱 Will make a reminder for next visit. Other than that, she's looking great, Out of seedling phase, and she is slowly starting to veg nicely now 😁 20/MAY/21 D:13: She has packed on a nice amount of foliage, certainly looking so far like a typical Kush bush 😄 I am thinking about planting that Strawberry banana seed daily! 21/MAY/21 D:14: Decided to top her, I am going to leave the fan leaves over the weekend just to help with recovery & growth. I have removed all new growth that would grow into anything other than a fan leaf. I am following "Nugbuckets" mainlining technique, I have found a very useful step by step adaptation of this technique by "Nebula" ( https://www.growweedeasy.com/mainlining-nugbuckets ) A really interesting read, if you haven't I'd suggest checking it out! This is a tried and proved method, managed by many growers. So if it goes wrong, all responsibility is on myself. Thanks for stopping by! Peace

Decent week. More LST and some defoliation. Good advice from community attempting to bring the main stem down further using LST to lower the light and get more into the lower buds. Don't think she'll put on any huge amounts more growth but I love her all the same. Had some issues with smell which made me a little nervous as my tent is outside under cover close'ish to the neighbour. Bought a plug in ambi per perfume dispenser. Actually works well to mask the smell.

Week 21 of the Pineapple Upside Down has been a slow, steady week of adaptation. Nothing dramatic happened, but this phase is crucial, because the plant is still adjusting to the new light spectrum. At the start of the week, I had bumped the PPFD up to around 500. But it became obvious pretty quickly that she wasn’t handling that intensity well. The apex looked tired, the leaves were curling downward like a soft saddle, and the whole plant was signaling that the metabolic shift wasn’t complete yet. So I made the decision to step the intensity back down to 300 PPFD. A gentler light, less metabolic pressure, and a better environment for the plant to recalibrate after the spectrum change. These adaptation phases always take time— forcing it only delays the recovery. Over the next few days, I started noticing some very subtle signs. The apex seems to be lifting again, and the leaves that were curling now look like they’re slowly opening back up. It’s still too early to confirm anything, so I’m keeping expectations realistic. Right now, visual impressions are all we have, and the plant still needs space to stabilize. For this stage, the strategy is simple: no adjustments, no extra stress, no forced progression. We keep the light at 300 PPFD and let her rebuild her momentum naturally. Only when she gives a clear, confirmed sign of vigor—not just a hint— will we start considering the transition to flower. So Week 21 was a quiet-looking week, but an important one metabolically. The plant is processing the spectrum change, resetting its rhythm, and hopefully setting the foundation for a clean, strong pre-flower phase. We’ll check back next week to see if the recovery continues and whether she’s finally ready to move forward. 😎

VIDEO ADDED: DEC 29 2020! -- PHOTOS ADDED: DEC 27 2020! MORE COMING VIDEO?! -- Smell is starting to come down from the fresh cut, definitely has a great look to the bud as the cure goes on, have two 8 gram boveda packs in there after a few days with one that was WAY too big for it 😂 Brought down my Chocolate Mint OG in my other diary right now as well, way more weight to that last plant... probably more than both these Chem Bombs combined, great genetics over @Humboldt_seed_organization 😎 -- PHOTOS ADDED: DEC 23 2020! MORE COMING! -- DEC 19 2020 - Harvest Day Chem-Bomb Auto .. DONE. Step-Brothers ... CHOPPED. Buds.. TRIMMED. Giving them my first bud wash tomorrow! Already juiced the lemon, have the spring water, and off-brand baking soda because COVID has every place sold out of Arm&Hammer 😂 Dale: 50 Grams Wet Buds/Stem 15 Grams Trim/Larf = Total 65 Grams Wet Brennan: 55 Grams Wet Buds/Stem 12 Grams Trim/Larf = 67 Grams Wet Total Wet: 132 Grams (Buds/Stems/Trim) Looks like I'm getting in and around the "1 Ounce per Auto Plant" range with my basic soil/hand feed system. The CMOG from my other diary looks like it will be my first 1OZ plant when it dries. With my past experience of wet buds drying out to about half of bud weight, I'm hoping that they both come in JUST under an Oz a piece. Going to update with more pictures, going to take a couple days to dry and get a good weight and hopefully get somewhere close to the 64 grams of the ONLY sized Boveda packs I have right now 😇 -- UPDATE - Dec 20 2020 - Cure Day 😵😭 i once again got my hopes up by pulling the classic male "over-exaggerating" and all the wet weight came from the main stems. After 3 days or so of drying both plants together came in just under an ounce. The smell is great and I have no doubt it's quality bud but I need to up my density game somehow for sure. New nutrients or better set up, still very low-end with all my equipment as I've just slowly been finding affordable pieces to add as I go. Maybe more light? Feel free to hit me up below with ideas short of switching to a Hydro set up 😹 I can hardly afford my bags of soil so I definitely couldnt keep up with the financial costs of a Hydro set up yet 😓 Have had a few bowls of the dried/uncured bud and it's very nice, clean, and crazy good for being uncured at this point. Just the classic flower taste from the chlorophyll but the pineapple/tropical taste is coming through nice already. Final Stats: 26g Dried Bud 26g Trim -- Thanks for checking in! Will be updating soon and posting more pictures! Throw down a like and/or follow so I can return the favour 🙌 -- IG: @GlazedGrow (DM and let me know you're from Grow Diaries so i can follow back!)

W16 - after a pretty hot week ESTHER shows some signs of existing on the dry side of her life. This made me concern about her well-being. Perhaps I slightly overlooked her recently in regards to watering. Nice weather ☀️ and beer gardens 🍻make me forget about her Also during a LST and my inattention, I damaged one of the branches 🙈 I taped it quickly to the main cola, thought that should help. After few days I removed the tape and check on it. By touching it I made it even worst. In the end, I remove the branch, cut off the loose end, and put it in the glass of water to prompt the plant to grow its roots. I don't have any idea what I am going to do with this... So after 4 months of quite smooth growing with a few bumps here and there, I had not the best week in the office 😕 I need a hug 😔
