🌸 Lava Cake – Week 7 Flower (Harvest Special) 🌸 This week marks a major milestone in the Lava Cake journey: we harvested phenotype two, who had been affected by bud rot. Bud rot may have tried to take the best from us, but we didn’t allow it. Every infected part was carefully removed, and the remaining healthy plant was harvested and is now drying as a whole plant under controlled conditions. ⸻ 🙏 Apologies & Context We know this is technically a flower week update, but due to the new updates on Grow Diaries and the desire to share photos, videos, and the story of this harvest so we’re combining the harvest with the flower week report. We apologize for any confusion — this is the only way to fully document and expose all that’s happening, and to make sure the lessons, successes, and challenges are visible for everyone following along. Root development and early structure supported with Aptus super soil and micro/macro mixes. • Transplant: Into 11L fabric pots, carefully monitored environment, roots thriving. • Early Flower: Weeks 1–4 brought thick white hairs, dense colas, and heavy branching. Even though bud rot forced an early cut, the flowers are still dense, fragrant, and high quality. The flowers were so dense and weighty that some branches were starting to bend, snap, and strain under the load. While this is a testament to the plant’s vigor and genetics, it also increased the risk of further bud rot and damage, making an early, careful harvest the safest and most sensible choice. Even under pressure, these girls delivered impressive structure, weight, and resin coverage, proving their strength and quality until the very last moment. Pre98 Bubba , oh how I’ve missed you for so many years! These ones came out absolutely gorgeous! Loving the the purple phenos 😍 ! These ladies liked to stretch quite a bit so you’re gonna want to use some LST on em but I also recommend topping at least 6 times to get a better bang on your yield ! Expect nice tight purple buds with a tremendous amount of frost covering, some of the frostiest Bubba I’ve ever had! Over all I give it 10 stars an would definitely over an over run this strain!

started LST, 2/4 plants preflowering, noticing weird twisting growth and trying to address it. Moved lights up a bit to 60/100/100 RBW at 36 inches.

D63 - 26/11 - Lowered EC as I see some signs of burn D64 - 27/11 - Nothing D65 - 28/11 - Added pure water to lowered EC again to 1.5 D66 - 29/11 - Nothing D67 - 30/11 - Fungus gnat infestation, I added some protections and ordered the neem oil spray. D68 - 01/12 - Some supercropping on a bud. D69 - 02/12 - Neem Oil used against fungus gnat

Harvest time! Only this time there were some problems that made me take another approach. The thrips are still active so I thought it would not be very wise to lock them up together with the bud inside a paper bag. So I’ve decided to just cut the entire top part of the plant main stem and all, and hang them inside the top of the tent. But ofcourse not before I have given them a thorough shake. Then from the lower part of the plant where still some bigger buds, which I’ve also cut, trimmed and shaken clean, before they did ended up inside the bag, leaving just the lowest part of the plant with all of the small buds I’ve intended to use to germinate and create some seeds. At this point the remaining part of the plants are inside my small garden greenhouse, and I’ll keep you posted if it’s going to succeed. Normally I’d preferred to trim the bigger leaf from the wet branches, then dry inside my paper bag and finally trimming the dry buds for bringing up the final bag appeal. Only now I’d chose to only remove the fan leaf and hang drying. I turned the ventilation almost on the lowest setting during drying. As I said with the strain review, I’m happy with the results from plant A and C. Plant B started revegging, and thus ended up with a lower end weight. A shame because it had the biggest buds. The positive thing about dry trimming is that you don’t actually have to trim anything, it takes a bit more time, but you can literally push the leafs from the bud.

The 5L pot did wonders! My goal is to fill this entire 3x3 tent. I found myself having humidity and heat issues. To remedy this I purchased a new Vivosun cool mist humidifier and placed my warm air humidifier outside of my tent near the passive intake. Works wonders! Ventilation: 2 X 4” clip fans 4 inch, cheap, in-line fan and carbon filter (I will pay for this later. Just buy the 6 inch MINIMUM! CHEAPER IS NOT BETTER!) Growing about an inch per night!

Temperatur und die Entwicklung läuft gut, die Ladies haben immer noch grossen Durst . Diese Woche die Damen 1 mal mit voller Düngedosis nach Plan von Green Buzz gegossen 1 mal nur angepasstes Wasser pH 6,2 und 2 mal halbe Düngemenge . Nachts ca 23 Grad/ Tags 26 Grad. Luftfeuchtigkeit bei relativ konstant 50%. Also Klima gut, ich komme aber trotz 2 Entfeuchtern nicht unter 50 % RLF. Bei einer der Ladies habe ich einen Anteil von ca. 50 % Coco dort die doppelte Menge calmag wie oben bei dem Dünger angegeben . Die Blattfarbe der beiden Pflanzen ist sehr gut . PH Wert Gieß und Drain diese Woche nicht geprüft, blattfarbe ist gut nächste Woche wird normal bis leicht gegossen . Ec gemessen mit 2,2 heist nach Angabe Green buzz aktuell mit ca 1,1 ganz gut .Der Weg die Ladies austrocknen zu lassen und stark zu gießen hat sich bisher als gut erwiesen . Die Damen sehen beide gut aus. Keine Entlausung oder Training in dieser Woche . Lichtstärke der Lampe auf 92 % bei einem Abstand von 40 cm gelassen. Es ist interessant zu sehen wie sich die unterschiedlichen Medien Coco und Erde bei gleichem Dünger und gleichem Licht entwickeln

Strength wise I'd guess she'd be around the 25% THC mark. 📋Grow stats for GDG 23 #1 Runtz=50g #2 Fat Bastard=86g Total=136g Lights on. 20hrs×7days=140hrs 18hrs×21days=378hrs 12hrs×86days=1032hrs Total hours=1550hrs Light power=159.09Kw Rad power=105.69Kw Extractor=39.93Kw 4 gang=50.91Kw Top fan=21.36Kw Total electricity=376 98KW Electricity cost @£0.25/Kw=£94.25 Average light power a day=1.4Kw Average watt per hour=102w g/watt=(136÷102)=1.33g/w £/g=£0.73/g 📋Final word. Trimed on the 14/6/25. Trimming was quite easy, not to long in trim jail. 86g of solid nugs and 7g of nugs I couldn't be bothered trying to trim, they can go with the trim for hash. 🌿 Woche 4 🌱 Wachstum & Training 🌱 Es war an der Zeit, das Training zu beginnen. 🔧🌱 Der Plan ist, sie so symmetrisch runterzubinden, dass ich die allermeisten Triebe auf einer Höhe habe. 📏 Ich hoffe, dass sie sich nicht zu sehr in die Quere kommen – und alle Triebe wieder schön hochkommen. 🌞🌿 Ein kleiner Bruch ist mir dann doch passiert. 😬✂️ Bin aber guter Dinge, dass das wieder wird. 💪🌱 Hier und da musste auch wieder gut entlaubt werden. 🍃✂️ Ich fahre gerade so etwa 300 PPFD und werde es nur langsam erhöhen. 📉💡 Somit sollten die Triebe immer wieder nach Licht streben – und hochkommen. 🔝🌞 💧 Blumat & Gießen 💧 Ich gieße weiter nach Fahrplan: 🕒 Alle Paar Tage bei 110 mbar 🚿 2 l Wasser ☀️ Wetter 🌞 Kurzzeitig waren die Temperaturen wieder fast normal warm – so 26 °C. 😌🌤️ Aber ging dann wieder Richtung 30 °C und mehr ... 🔥 🎶 The Grow must go on! 🌱🎵

I have transplanted these 3 girls into bigger fabric pots after they healed up a few days from topping.They have been doing great in the new pots even though I did lose some roots that grew thru the bottom of the air pots searching for water I didn’t remove 🤦‍♂️.So far so good and looking very healthy developing some colas :)

Bienvenidos cultivadores de marihuana clandestinos, y también, a los que tienen la fortuna de no serlo!🖐️👨‍🌾 Catorce semanas de vida para esta planta hija de una Reina, nacida en casa y ahora cultivada al calor del hogar, cinco semanas en horario de floración 12/12h. La planta avanza sin distracciones, se esfuerza en deshacerse de las hojas inservibles, mientras las colas sobresalen, ahora estamos a la mitad del juego, puede que a la planta le queden 4 semanas más, y en este tiempo espero ver triplicado el tamaño de las colas. Esta semana le he dado dos comilonas (EC: 1.8) con mezclas variadas de Bio Nutrientes, el consumo de agua es muy alto la maceta air-pot lo favorece, riego profundamente cada 3 días, pero por otro lado y a pesar de que las macetas air-pot son buenas macetas, no voy a cultivar más en ellas, porque es complicado y lento regarlas, además, ocupan demasiado espacio con respecto a los litros de tierra que contienen, y yo ando muy escaso de espacio. Estos días alimentando la planta con mezclas variadas de Bio Nutrientes y a la vez alimentando la tierra con nuevas capas de mulch que traigo de las hojas desechadas por la propia planta, las trituro y las añado al sustrato, estas hojas todavía verdes han demostrado que es un excelente hábitat para la proliferación de la microbiología aeróbica, actualmente todo el mulch de mis cultivos tiene un tacto grasiento, esto es la señal inequívoca de la humificación de la materia orgánica del mulch, además, esta semana he añadido como enmiendas secas harina de huesos (Ca, P...) y Guano de gusano de la harina o mealfrass (P,K, Mg...), este guano para mi es excelente, pues promueve como ninguno la proliferación de la microbiología y es de más fácil digestión que los clásicos guanos de aves o murciélago, también tengo una fórmula donde he solubilizado este guano con Microrganismos de Montaña Activados (MMA) y Pasto Fermentado, demostrando ser un compuesto fantástico para reavivar cultivos perezosos. One thing I’ve taken from this grow is that I think I’ll be trying organic soil style indoor growing after my current Coco hempy run. I feel as though the main thing this would benefit is overall taste and smoke smoothness, of which i feel a difference, but want to test the results myself before determining so in my personal growing experiences. This beauty is on autopilot at the moment. I’ve been watching the temps and doing what I can when I am home. It’s been soooo hot. My tent has been getting to 84 degrees regularly, I’m hoping that it won’t stress her out. I will be ordering a T8 in-line fan from AC infinity to accommodate the summer temps and RH and ensure good air circulation. Couple Of weeks still to go, she is a 9-10 week strain , but she is definitely proving to be worth the extra time. Her colas are getting nice and fat, and should be a good producer for me.

2024.09.12 D64 Its been two busy week, as i trim the 1 pond mother, get aknowledge that my wife use my grow sniper two pruned is badly infested rose bush, since 2 week and never proper clean it whith alcool.😱😱😱😷 in result a massive PM & mithe contamination in my grow tent... 😱😭😷😭 all plant have been shoot with H2O2 at 0.5% and set ouside for 2 day, wich turn to be rainy as f***, until i clean and serilized everything, twice and run the hepa filter .😷😰 the plant look ok, lightly over wartered, but no more pest or PM sign as they return in the tent.. 3 days later PM hardly bonce back, no choice to use more agressive treatment so they all have been shoot with saffer's defender 3 in 1. after 3 shoot in 24h and another tent desinfection we should have get rid of it 🙏 8 day laters everything look fine👍, all damage leaf have been removed, i also prune some unrelevant lower and inner grow
