Week 11 Day 71 (9/25) Well I made an partially informed decision with her. I went ahead and gave her a mini flush, ran 3 gallons of water through her to try and get some of the excess nutrients out. I'll give a few days, then will feed her again. I'm going to try and remember to bust out the microscope tonight and check her trichomes. She's still got plenty of white pistils, but I just need to see if I am actually able to see the trichs for when the time comes. Day 72 (9/26) Her pot was still fairly heavy this morning, so no plans to feed today. I'm thinking tomorrow she'll be ready. I feel so bad for her, she's looking kinda pitiful. I did get a chance to try out a cheap little phone clip on microscope I have. It was difficult to get it down to the bud, but took a few pics. These are zoomed in on the small area that it actually captured. Worked out okay, but it's gotta be like ON the bud to see anything, and now it's sticky and funky. Which to be fair, isn't really a bad thing. I think it will work well enough to check trichomes for readiness. Her pistils are browning surprisingly quickly, I wasn't expecting that. I may start checking trichomes every few days or so. Day 73 (9/27) Wasn't able to get on and get posted yesterday, the mother-in-law was at our house all day. But she was feeding us mushrooms all day, so I guess that's okay lol. Day 74 (9/28) I was able to get up early and get her fed. Her smell is amazing, sweet and potent. I messed around a bit with the microscope but it's pretty hard to get decent pics. Day 75 (9/29) Played around with the microscope a bit last night. It's pretty hard to get clear shots of the trichomes, but I'm getting better at it the more a mess with it. Debating on getting a handheld microscope off amazon or something, just to try to make it easier and more clear to see the trichomes. Currently working on the wife about getting some lights for the 4x4 and getting that tent going. I'd like to be able to run multiple plants! Day 76 (9/30) She's getting closer and closer! After the flush, it seems like the lockout is over as she isn't progressing like she was. Day 77 (10/1) I pulled out the microscope lens for my phone and checked trichomes. Realized I was probably better off just taking a video and checking multiple buds. Worked out pretty good, just paused the video when I had a clear shot and was able to zoom in and such to look closer. Here I am...just waiting....waiting...waiting...waiting...

Due to change in weather i moved the red critical Autoflower inside under a grow light and she responed very well. Hope the buds keep getting fatter and thicker. The smell is amazing and the colours on these buds are amazing

Much appreciate all your likes, follows and comments. 🙏💚❤️💜 Week 14 Jan 15- Jan 21 Flushing and preparation for harvest 😁 on Jan 15 feed girls for the last time with nutrients. It was reduced dose by 60% 5ltr no runoff. Following morning topped up with 6ltr of ph down and only fish shit. Runoffs PH 6.2. Second watering Jan 18 6tr and 7ltr on Jan 21. It was last watering. Week went very well. No white pistils hairs on Athena for a good while and barely few left on Xena. Many buds have different shapes and colours but all of them are equally hard as rocks, sticky and smelling so deliciously. This week trichomes development was just like I wish for. Just milky and amber in play Status on Jan 22. Mostly of buds 20-50% amber. It's just perfect for my needs🤤 On Jan 21 lights were on for the last time and girls will be harvested after 48 or 72h of darkness. Stay tuned for the final week update! Thanks to growdiaries I followed the entire growing stages of the plant seeing all the little details usually not seen. Sincerly I expected more than 30g with the nutriens and light utilised anyway it is a good result.

Great week! Buds are fattening up even better than I'd hoped. Some hairs are starting to turn red, and the buds are covered in a thick layer of trichomes! I have no choice but to harvest July 1st, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will ripen enough by then. I will start my flush/harvest prep 10 days in advance, so in about 10 days. I am really looking forward to this one, can't wait for purple lemonade to be my daily smoke!

Final week of veg. Seems like a lot went on. As you can see, the canopy is virtual all even. The branches that were tied down 3 weeks ago were allowed to let go and reach for the light. In contrast, the taller and much stronger branches now became tied down. This took some work - these branches are thick and sturdy - pulling on them too much I am afraid will detach them from the trunk. That happened to the Gelato. It took a little bit of repositioning the wire garden ties everyday to achieve this. I'm happy to send them into flower like this. Speaking of Gelato. Her soil has been hot from the beginning. She has shown signs of high nitrogen levels and the run off from the pot is never clear. I purposely held off from feeding her nutrients bc of this, until this week. A day after feeding veg nutrients at 50% strength, there was yellow-browning and burning new growth leaf tips. This occurred for about 24 hrs on a few leaves then did not get worse. Next watering cycle will get only cal mag. Of note, the pH of any liquid going into Gelato has been consistently at 6.5. A few notes about the environmental conditions. According to VPD charts, the temperature / relative humidity ratio has not been ideal for vegetation. What would have improved the environment would have been the addition of a humidifier to reach about 60% RH at temps around 65 degrees F. Now, we are on to flower...

I don't plan on doing any topping. Just all low stress training. I think I'll do some topping on my next grow round and compare the 2 grows.

Had very good growth this week in height and pistils. Roots are also doing well with more growth and nice color so I will keep my fingers crossed that they continue to do well. The MP3 player was not working again. I used a MicroSD card and put a Velvet Underground Album on it and stuck that into the newest speaker. This one is the smallest and easiet yet plus it has continuous play so the album plays all the time without stopping like the MP3 player did. Am getting a bigger SD card to put more Velvet Underground on. I also defoliated a small amount and don't expect to cut anymore. The Grow Chamber continues to perform nicely and I hope to start building the first real Model Type soon. I also had to make a new top drip system because the older one was not dripping water. I am also CO2 enriching the Chamber for a couple of hours every two days. Looking to see more pistil growth this week. I've also added my data charts for January. Everything was in range and moving forward.

I still don't know what caused the burnt leaves. Whether it was a small watering and high heat, or a bad reaction to nutrients. The pH of the soil was fine. Las flores aparte se ven bien resinosas. a sido una genética con la que disfruté mucho cultivarla, es algo complicada cultivarla pero merece la pena si eres cultivador con experiencia no te será problema cosechar. I've defoliated all the large leaves on all the plants. I started with the Tropical Marker and Purple Kush. I topped these two as well. The Pink Gelato is still very slow. Day 65 past nutrition problems I believe have slowed growth. unfortunately on a plant I think I have problems with the compaction of the soil which has caused too much irrigation. the plant does not eat and a little slower than the others. now after 4 days to dry i will give only datpo water which seems to burn for nutrients, i believe brought about by the fact that they are deposited in the soil. all in all they continue to grow and hope for the best! 💚🌱
