Last compost tea feeding tomorrow will be the end of week 7. I am very happy with this girl. She has massive sense even colas. She’s covered in 💎 and smells amazing. No issues of any kind. The last week and a half she’s only gotten organic teas and will only be given water for the next 7-10 days and then nothing till harvest with 36 hours of darkness

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. week 3, at day 21 I started to defoliate. needs more airflow around colas. This is the start of defol, will clean and prune as needed next week. Stretching has slowed and colas are starting to stack. Ran a sort of modified manafold into the scrog. "V" on the left has 15 tops from 4 main stalks, she was topped to 4th node early on. "Blue nemo" was topped to the 3rd node early, she has 18 tops after the week 3 prune of the week lowers who couldnt make it up to the canopy. I left some popcorn buds down low that have began to develop, will throw these in the ice water hash after harvest.

Bit of a late update, but all doing well. 14 weeks in 8th april.

Repotted veg area. Most are still babies. Will receive final transplants before going into flower in a couple more weeks. The clone I took from the sativa-dom is doing well, as is the og lemon x cupcake. Will veg these two for the longest, and will eventually end up in 5-7 gal pots. Also plan to take some cuttings from these two. Two girls in flower are approx 21 days apart. I call them the supercroppeds because that’s what they are. Sc1 is on day 49 of flower a/o aug28 and sc2 is on day 28. Both seem happy and healthy. Believe there may be an abundance of nitrogen in sc1 as some leaf tips are burnt and folding back. Two plants about a month in veg have been put into flower as well. A sort of 12/12 from seed kinda thing. I have been experimenting with the basics thus far. A sea of green will be underway in a couple more weeks, once these babies grow to toddlers. Been outdoors mostly, no nutrients. Plain Jane from Mother Earth. Comes out great each year. All unknown strain bagseed. A tad different growing in a 2x2 room.

Not bad at all, chopped on day 73. It should / could have gone a little longer, but it was dying. After the lockout it stopped eating and drinking, and with the new light they had to much heat and the tops started drying up. One morning I opened up the tent and felt like the smell was burnt away, I lowered the temps and started flushing until it was smelly again and chopped it. Waiting for the new box to come in.. should take another 10 days max. I made a few adjustments this week. I simply increased the girls' diet a bit with mineral supplements in addition to the organic soil nutrients. I increased the PK and added some NitCal and a little Mg to nourish the soil until the end of the flowering stage. I added some Bokashi to the surface of the soil along with Biostimulant for Flora, rich in amino acids, sugars, molasses, and more. I added a little BTi to ensure there were no gnat eggs left and Trichoderma to prevent any other unwanted soil fungus. They received two nutritious waterings during the week, possibly the last or second-to-last one. We'll see how they react throughout this journey. Despite everything, I'm still very happy with how everything is going.
