Week 5 – A Warmer Home, Steady Growth & a Curious Apex Day 28 since sprouting | Royal Queen Seeds – Epsilon F1 Auto This has been a week of important changes for Dionisio, especially regarding environmental control. After several weeks of struggling with low temperatures, I’ve finally managed to stabilize the grow tent conditions. 🌱 Plant Development Dionisio has reached approximately 13 cm in height, growing from around 9 cm at the end of last week. The main stem is getting noticeably thicker and stronger, internodal spacing remains compact, and several lateral branches are developing actively. The overall structure is becoming bushier, with plenty of new growth emerging from multiple nodes. The mature fan leaves remain predominantly green, although the newest growth has a rather unusual appearance, which I’ll explain below. 🌡️ Temperature & Humidity – Major Upgrade On November 5, I installed a Spider Farmer 540W grow tent heater (SF-Heater-03) to address the persistent low temperatures inside my Mars Hydro 60 × 60 × 140 cm tent, located inside an outdoor greenhouse. Previously, temperatures had dropped as low as 11.3°C, with weekly averages around 16°C. The heater is now running in thermostatic mode, set to 20°C at power level 2. Initial Govee monitoring showed a significant improvement: * Average overnight temperature: approximately 20.5°C * Recorded temperature range after stabilization: 20.1–21.1°C * Average overnight relative humidity: approximately 45% * Lowest recorded humidity: approximately 42% While the heater has dramatically improved temperature stability, relative humidity has dropped considerably. This appears to be partly due to the increase in air temperature, although changes in absolute humidity were also observed. I’ve switched off the dehumidifier and set the Mars Hydro inline extractor to run continuously at minimum speed, maintaining a small passive air intake. I also adjusted the Govee calibration against the Mars Hydro sensor, applying a −1.0°C temperature offset and a +2.5 percentage-point humidity correction. Since the probes are positioned differently, these adjustments remain approximate. 💡 Lighting On November 6, I increased the Mars Hydro TS1000 from 50% to approximately 65%, raising the fixture to 42 cm above the canopy. The photoperiod remains 18/6, with lights running from 18:00 to 12:00. The aim is to provide more light during vegetative development while avoiding abrupt increases, especially given the unusual appearance of the newest leaves. 💧 Watering & Nutrients On November 5, Dionisio received her first light feeding with BioBizz Bio·Grow. * Watering volume: 900 ml * Bio·Grow: less than 1 ml in total * Estimated concentration: approximately 0.8 ml/L * Substrate: BioBizz Light Mix * Container: 12L Air-Pot The concentration was intentionally kept low for this first feeding. No additional nutrients were used. 🔍 An Unusual Apex – Community Opinions Welcome! One thing I’ve been noticing throughout this grow is the unusual morphology of the newest leaves. The main apex produces very narrow, elongated, upright leaves, with some twisting and curling. Several lateral growth tips show similar characteristics, while the older fan leaves look relatively normal. The newest growth is also noticeably lighter green, with occasional yellowish areas. Interestingly, Dionisio has displayed some of these characteristics since early development, so I’m wondering whether this could be a genetic trait of the Epsilon F1, a developmental abnormality, or a response to the environmental stress experienced during the first few weeks. Despite this, the plant continues to grow, producing new nodes and lateral branches. I’ve decided to postpone defoliation for now and observe how the next leaves develop under more stable conditions. I’d really appreciate some feedback from the GrowDiaries community: Has anyone seen this kind of narrow, upright, twisted growth on an Epsilon F1 or another autoflower? Does it look like a possible genetic mutation, environmental stress, a nutrient-related issue, or something worth checking for pests? I’m particularly curious because the older leaves seem relatively normal, while the unusual growth is concentrated around the main apex and younger shoots. Any observations or similar experiences would be very welcome! 🌿 Overall I’m pleased with the structural development this week. Dionisio is becoming stronger, with a thicker central stem, compact internodes, and increasingly active lateral growth. The biggest achievement has been improving temperature stability after a challenging few weeks. My priorities now are maintaining consistent environmental conditions, observing the response to the increased lighting, and understanding the unusual apical growth. Let’s see what Week 6 brings!

Everything is looking great. Except one pheno of the purple kush. Flowers aren’t stacking, still quite small especially in comparison and it’s not at all purple. Hopefully it’ll catch up during p/k week. which starts in a few days. Most of my leaves are praying everything is healthy and happy.

Day 1 ....mostly LST to straighten the mains stems...I normally miss this tight window.. it reduces the risk of the stems breaking later.. Will top again this week. End up with 4 main nodes.

Started LST on 3/6 of the plants. Having no issues at all so far👌 Gave her some nutes twice so far at a very low dose. Currently feeding once a week. Soil holds enough nutes as is already. Low dose Cal-Mag in every watering - missed week 2 so I just started week 3

08/29/24. Going into week 9 flower Day 65 out of the stated 71 Supposed to be 6 days left, but I’m thinking probably 2 weeks more. I’ll be checking trichs again today. Last I checked, a few milky. Nothing to report really. Giving nothing but water from here and decreasing light intensity to about 55% Will update if anything changes.

Did a jump start tea, 3 feeds of cutting edge solutions. For past 4 weeks have Found one adult spider mite per week, and destroyed eggs on the leaf's bottom with the white spots. I have no clue where they came from never had them before. I live next to a river and it is spider season so the normal spiders have been hunting the mites just becasue they are attracted to the lights at night. I don't see the mites as a threat and I'm not going to spray for them I might try to make a ladybug farm if I see more.

Week 8, 26 September - 2 October 2025 26- Sept - 2 Oct - Observed and let the plant grow. 1 Oct - Removed damaged/dieing leaves. This was the first significant removal of leaves from this plant. Only those that were damaged or dieing were cut. A plant this small needs as much canopy as it can get. You have to be careful not to remove too many leaves when the plant is in flower. - 2 Oct changed nutrient solution - 2 Oct updated feeding schedule - Using reverse osmosis water with EC/TDS at 0 - Adjusting PH to 6.1 daily using GH up/down - Nutrient solution EC 2.1 at 72 degrees F - Light power at 75%, DLI 45 canopy coverage at 18hrs - Using PYPABL, Air Pump, 400GPH That is it for this week. Thanks for the look, read and stopping by.

------GENERAL COMMENT------ Flush time, within the end of this week is now flush time. To summary this week i just kept on my feeding habits, Water with base > Water with boosters, alternating Recharge. My led seams to be crashing a bit, the colors are not stable as is possible to see in the timelapse. Trichomes are mostly cloudy, with a slight amber. 9 weeks flowering time will be exact, just need time to flush, they are maturing fast fast, hairs are getting orange in a blink. ------SM.BB COMMENT------ The buds are very imponent and bulky, with a lot of resin, the smell is sweet and fruty with a bit of pine.

Frostbanger Plants 1-6 Week 9 May 18– 24 FLOWER 5 Nutrients : 3 gal GH Micro 20 ml GH Gro 10 ml GH Bloom 30ml CalMag 15 ml Recharge 10ml Green sensation 15ml Power buds 7.5 ml 5/18 PH 6.67, PPM 935, temp 68.5 1 ltr each 5/20 PH 6.67, PPM 1330, temp 68.5 2ltr each 5/23 PH 6.6, PPM 1570, temp 68.5 2ltr each 5/24 pics & vid Since all 6 gals are getting frosty, I did some trichome pics. The statistics on Frostbanger indicate 50-day flower. Pics show mostly clear and milky. There are a few with amber trichs and many orange pistils indicating maturation. At least 3 more weeks for maturity on these gals. I continue manual control of the environment and using 3 circulating fans and the 4” exhaust vent from my 3x3. I have the AC pushing air in and the exhaust pulling air out. This creates a neutral pressure tent environment-neither positive nor negative. It looks like growth has stopped and plant height has been reached. Now is the time for buds to fatten and frost up. All 6 of them are short remaining less than 3 ft. They range from 15 to 31 inches. #4, 5 &6 are showing some fade, particularly #4. Upon opening the tent, a melon smell comes off the buds if I get close, and more stickiness was observed during the process of defoliation. They are living up to the new strain’s name. #5 is the frostiest followed by #2. Wow week 3 of flower and that much frost already. Before FastBuds announced the strain name and characteristics, I was disappointed that FBA2502 could be an indica sleepy strain but the universe provides what you need at the time. The new strain profile indicates a whopping 29%THC with mainly sativa uplifting, euphoric, social effects with sweet fruity flavors which I love and enjoy. In addition, I recently bought a dap press and this strain is frosty and resinous. She will be great to press for live rosin. FBA2502 is FROSTBANGER. Meet Frostbanger Auto, an autoflowering and Indica-leaning hybrid packing a staggeringly high THC content averaging 29%, making this one of the most potent strains on the market. It was created by Fast Buds through crossbreeding Gorilla Glue and Chemdawg, two equally iconic strains. Growers must know that these difficult-to-grow plants will pose specific challenges in terms of environmental control and nutrition, making them best suited for cultivators with some experience under their belt. The flowering cycle is short, averaging only 50 days, and yields are usually around 300g/m². The Frostbanger Auto flavor and aroma are both mouthwatering with a delightful combination of sweet, fruity, and flowery notes. The high is mainly Sativa-driven with uplifting and happiness-inducing effects that lead to euphoria and a general sense of well-being. You might feel sociable and talkative, but too spacey to say something. Following this surge of energy comes a deepening sense of relaxation, leaving you sedated and completely at ease with the world. Due to its potency and these long-lasting effects, medical patients hail Frostbanger Auto for treating chronic pain, stress, and even depression. Measurements: #1 15” #2 20” #3 17” #4 30” #5 31” #6 24” P.S I added a no churn ice cream recipe in week 4 of Natronas recipes. It is easy 3 ingredients. I bought Mango puree instead of fresh and reduced that to reduce water content. Try it. 😋 Your likes and comments are appreciated. Thanks for stopping by. Growers love 💚🌿 💫Natrona💫
