Erntezeit!

🌿 Week 24 – Mentha de Croco by Terpyz 🇬🇧 This week, both plants have finally stopped their vertical growth and are now putting all their energy into developing the buds 🌸. After the heavy defoliation last week, the structure is much more open and I’m really curious to see how the remaining top buds will develop over the coming weeks 👀🌱. The left plant is still slightly further ahead in flowering and continues to show some mild nutrient deficiencies on a few leaves 🍂. The right plant is less affected and generally looks a little healthier and more vigorous 💚. This week I still fed them twice with BioBizz Grow, Bloom, Heaven and TopMax . The plants definitely seemed to benefit from the additional nutrients, but I also noticed something quite important: the soil life has clearly suffered from the liquid fertilerer. Before, there was an incredible amount of life underneath the mulch layer. Now there is hardly anything moving, and some of the worms have even left the pots and partially dried out 💧. To me, this is a pretty clear indication that liquid fertilizer can help the plants in the short term, while still having a negative impact on the biological activity of the Living Soil. So today I made a decision: from now on, I’m stopping bottled fertilizers completely – even if they are organic 🚫. Instead, I want to rely more heavily on the Living Soil itself and get the biological activity back on track. For each plant, I mixed 125 g of Almicanna Kickflip with one handful of compost and half a handful of worm castings and applied it as a topdress 🌱. I hope this will reactivate the soil life and bring the biological activity back to where it was 🙏. I’m perfectly happy to accept a little less yield if necessary – at this point, a healthy and living soil ecosystem is more important to me than squeezing out the last few grams of harvest 💚. I’ve definitely learned something for next year: topdress early enough before flowering starts and leave some extra space in the pot for it from the beginning. With only 30 L of soil, space for additional organic amendments becomes quite limited later in the season. Water consumption is now around 4.5 L per plant per day 💧. Because of the heavy defoliation and the significantly cooler temperatures, water consumption has dropped noticeably 🌡️. And there is another thing I’m really excited about right now: the aroma 👃. When rubbing the sugar leaves, both plants already show a very promising terpene profile. I’m picking up a fruity, citrusy note with a subtle hint of mint 🍋🍃. I already really like the citrus side, but I’m hoping the mint note will become a little stronger as flowering progresses 🙏. I’ve never grown a strain with an aroma combination like this before, so I’m especially curious to see where the terpene profile ends up by harvest 😍. For now, it’s time to watch the soil life, watch the buds and let nature do its thing 🍂🌸. Hopefully the soil ecosystem will quickly recover from the recent stress and both Mentha de Croco plants can enjoy their final flowering weeks under good conditions 🤞🌿.

It’s the third week of flowering, and the plants are starting to show some exciting progress! 🌿 The buds have begun to build mass, and the first signs of trichome development are visible, giving them a light nice, frosty look. ✨ I did notice a few nutrient deficiencies on the leaves, likely due to underfeeding, as I’m using a medium with 50% coco. To fix this, I adjusted the nutrient levels, and the plants seem to be responding well. 🌱 The plant that wasn’t trained with LST is about a week ahead in development compared to the LST version, showing more advanced bud growth. Also, the smell is becoming more pronounced, with the first hints of that classic, sweet aroma filling the tent. 🍬🌿 I’m excited to see how things continue to unfold in the coming weeks! 😁✨

Day 22–23 – Pre-flower kicking in 🌸 Day 22: Watered all plants with plain Lauretana water, no nutrients, alternating with last feed. They're drinking more now, a good sign the stretch is near. Royal Jack tops are showing pistils, and the Atlas girls have a few white hairs at the nodes too. The replacement is small but growing steadily. Day 23: Topped up the pots with some fresh soil. The two Atlas are bushy and flat thanks to LST, deep green, with pistils popping at the nodes and no tip burn or yellowing. Royal Jack stays compact but healthy. The replacement now has true leaves and a nice colour. Next step: a feed once the pots feel light again, starting the transition with a lower dose of Easy Grow and a half dose of Easy Bloom. The light goes up gradually we are now at 75%. LST wires stay, but no new bends from here on. Day 25: Pre-flower is fully underway. Both Atlas girls are covered in white pistils on every top, and the LST has kept the canopy flat and even, so the stretch should start any day now. Leaves are deep green with clean tips, a sign the last feed was plenty. The Royal Jack is opening up at the top and showing its first hairs. It stays compact, but it looks healthy. The replacement is pushing out new serrated leaves and growing steadily. No watering today, since the pots still had some weight after the plain-water round and the fresh topsoil. Next up is a transition feed set for tomorrow: low Easy Grow with a half dose of Easy Bloom. LST wires stay in place, with no more bending from here on. I crease the light to 80%. I did a light defoliation. I removed a few small, shaded leaves and some tiny inner shoots from the lower part, so more air moves through and the plants put their energy into the tops Day 26: was feeding day. The girls got 0.5 g Easy Grow, 1 ml Bigger Flowers, 0.4 ml Thicker Flowers and a drop of Supervit per litre, to support them through the stretch and the start of flowering. The Mars Hydro is now at 80%, right on schedule for this week, with the LED still at 35–40 cm from the tops. They're deep in pre-flower: both Atlas are covered in white pistils and the Royal Jack is opening up at the top. The replacement keeps growing slowly but healthy, today I noticed first signs of stretch, so I'll keep an eye on the distance from the light. Plan for week 5 (from Oct 18): go to 90% and then 100%, raise the LED to 40–45 cm, and do a second light defoliation around Oct 19–20 to open the canopy for the new bud sites. Next watering is plain water.

Day 70 she’s frosting up nicely. Her cola structure looks more saliva in nature compared to the last one I grew. She is much larger then the last girl I grew out. I excited to have her around. She’s one of my favorite strains. I wish I could smell her but my nose is so clogged I have no idea why but my face could be pealed off at this point 😂🤷‍♀️🏻

So. I’ve been working away this week.. so the girlfriend has been top feeding for me but I’ve come home to the roots now touching the water so for now we’re good! RuntZ has taken off nicely! The Bulk seems to have a bit of mottling. Maui Waui still quite small and branchy and the White RuntZ is taking off nicely nice and even but slightly behind as she was a late popper! Water change and nutrients have gone in! Excited to see what happens this week. STAY BRAW!

She’s recovering well from the HST and has a nice cross shape with 4 colas ready to take off; the pistils are starting to show, so the timing is good I’m expecting a good stretch over the next two weeks, as the sun and heat are still going strong. . Im watering and feeding a little more, and differently, from now on.

Another solid week with more sun, but the plants got kinda shot up from wind. No damage, but after a whole night of wind the plants were leaning a bunch and looked visibly frightened. Strung up the wedding cake for early training and it’s looking a lot better, CC seems to have mostly straightened itself out. Let me know what you guys think!

When I started growing I set two goals for myself. I was the first to make 1 gram-1€ and I was very close. This grow cost me 52€ (that includes electricity, seeds, biobizz...) but unfortunately I had to buy nematodes (+ 9€) for a total of 61€. That means he would have succeeded if I hadn't had a fly infestation from the ground. I told you that I was very close to the goal. The second one is to make 1w-1gram, considering my setup and my "knowledge"🙈, I think it's impossible. However, I must admit that I am very satisfied with 53 grams. HAPPY GROW EVERYONE AND GOOD LUCK GUYS.

The Zenviations have been processed specifically differently I must say that they are both beautiful but one suffered the attack a little more even if he has very dignished flowers. The low one has a few beasts as you but you seem to end up great, hopefully good

Decided to fim because I was kinda sad with my Slime Machine yield, always had more success with topping and fimming. Gave her a bit of Flower Girl Fertilizer. So far it’s looking great! Looking forward to buying a greenhouse to control all the pests eating my poor plants 😭 I see a lot of mites.

This grow has been an unbelievable challenge. From bugs and stretching to other various problems. However I've gotten some great advice and am hopeful that it will turn around soon. :)
