Hello everyone, The Banana Runtz F1 hybrid by Barney's Farm is officially entering week nine of the vegetative stage! She is looking incredibly healthy and is almost ready to make the transition to flower. A flowering tent will become available in 14 days, so we will be keeping her in veg until then before finally flipping the switch. There is not much else to report on the climate side, as both humidity and temperatures are holding completely steady, matching the conditions from the last few weeks. I did shake up the diet plan slightly and raised the base feeding from 2.8 ml to 3.5 ml per liter to support her through this final stretch. Right now, it's really all about the root zone. She needs more roots to be absolutely clear—I guess you could say she’s trying to establish some ground rules before the big show! I'll be keeping a close eye on the bottom of the pot to see how the root zone responds over the next couple of weeks. Thank you for stopping by and have a nice day.

Just watering the soil when dry in this final week of flower. Untied all LST ties in final days of growth, also defoliating dried up and dying fan leaves. A very piney and berry aroma coming off of this plant.

My camera died serveral times so i had to do some photos for this week. I hope i get it repaired for the next week. Another week passes by and i defoliated some leaves again. I LSTed the plant for the last time and will now let it grow without influence as possible. Maybe i should use a trellis net now would be the perfect time.

Day 35 is here. We are a week into flower and most the plants are just starting to hit that flowering stretch. I have been bending them down a little every couple days, but I need to focus on cleaning up some of the bottom branches so we can keep good air flow through the plants. Will work on that through this next week. I haven't done a water change, just been topping off the reservoir with fresh nutrients as they drink it up. Feeding half and half maxigro and maxibloom. Will cut out the maxigro in a couple weeks when I notice their stretch slowing down. I had a plant overflow this week because the drain line is getting full of roots. I noticed a couple roots have made their way into the reservoir already. I set a pump timer to 1 minute on and 20 minutes off so they can drain properly. I would like to make it through the grow without having to mess with the drains, but we will see what happens. I will make some modifications if needed. Other than that everything is running smooth and I hope we have some little pistils to show by next week. Thanks for stopping by ✌️

7/7: Transplanted plant to final pot! Roots showed out of tray. Accidentally pulled a root off during transplant 😢. After transplant I top feed/watered medium with a half gallon of treated water. I mixed 2ml of Rapid Start in 1 gallon water hub. Poured half in half gallon jug then poured half gallon over medium. Added 2 gallons of water into reservoir (1st white line) to promote root growth to bottom and to begin capillary reaction. 7/8: Bumped light intensity dimmer to 30%. 7/9: Left for Vacation.... Praying for my baby!🙏🏿 Going to be gone for 4 days. 😅 ***** For this Grow****** “Day Air Temperature” will be the max temp of tent for the week. “Substrate Temperature” will be the average temp of tent for the week. “Night Air Temperature” will be the lowest temp of the tent for the week.

1st sign of bud rot….hope she gets through these full-moon rains without any mould…eventually to continue growing I would need a green house because I’m noticing some croton scale pest on the stems….some were scraped off but I may have an early harvest if it gets worse.

Realized just how intense manual feeding for coco is. Takes up to 3 hours to mix the nutrients, water, and wait to empty the saucers. And I'm just doing this once a day, imagine the experienced growers feeding 3+ times a day. Definitely would be ideal to have a drip/drain system installed in the future. Pheno 2 got so lanky and heavy it fell over! A scrog and bamboo sticks would've helped a ton. Placed a peony cage to support the branches but it's hard to get it angled properly with the branches grown out. Boosted the PK again this week and halved the Bloom Nutes.

🌿 LSD — Week 9 from Seed (Week 6 Flower) 12/12 from Seed | Photoperiod Genetics behaving differently ⸻ Quick Recap — Understanding the Structure These are photoperiod plants, but grown 12/12 from seed, which changes everything. From the very beginning, they grew under the signal of: “The season is ending.” Because of that, instead of building long vegetative structures, they: • prioritized vertical growth early • reduced lateral expansion • focused on reproductive sites sooner 👉 What we’re seeing now is the result of that decision: • a dominant central cola (main “collar”) • symmetrical but limited side branching • a very uniform structure across all three plants And honestly… they look like magicians because they adapted perfectly to the rules they were given. ⸻ 🌸 Current State — Week 6 Flower • Bud formation: clearly established, stacking nicely • Early frost: already visible → great sign for terpene/resin development • Structure: clean, upright, central dominance • Stem strength: very solid — supporting weight without stress • Defoliation: light work done to improve airflow and light penetration There’s also something interesting: 👉 These plants show a strong tendency to throw roots from stems/branches That’s a sign of vigorous internal energy and high adaptability ⸻ 🌱 Environment & Philosophy • Room: 28°C / 68% RH • Outside: ~10°C / 87% RH Given the external conditions, stability inside the room is actually very solid. And this is important: We don’t chase numbers. We observe them. • Focus is on plant response, not just meters • We aim for leaf VPD, not just room VPD • Right now → conditions are within a healthy working range ⸻ Feeding No changes this week. The current feeding schedule is: • stable • well-tolerated • supporting healthy development 👉 When something is working, we don’t interfere. ⸻ 🎭 New Team Member This week we officially welcome: Mr. Baggy 👜 He’s here, he’s learning, and he’s already part of the process. (Photos included in this update) ⸻ 🔮 What to Expect (Next Weeks) • Bud swelling phase continues • Resin production increases significantly • Aroma profile begins to fully express • Minimal structural changes from here on Because of the 12/12-from-seed structure, don’t expect: • massive lateral expansion • large canopy reshaping 👉 This run is about refinement, not expansion ⸻ ⚠️ What Not to Expect • No explosive stretch (that phase is done) • No heavy training interventions • No drastic feeding changes unless needed We stay consistent. We observe. We adjust only if the plant asks. ⸻ About the Genetics (Why they behave like this) These LSD genetics are showing: • strong apical dominance • efficient energy allocation to the main cola • early transition to reproductive mode under 12/12 👉 In a normal veg cycle, these plants would likely: • branch more • widen their structure • delay flower development But here, they adapted to a compressed timeline — and it shows beautifully. ⸻ 🙏 A Note to the Community To: • longtime followers • new visitors • curious growers • supporters, skeptics, lovers, haters Everyone has a place here. Big thanks to: • the GrowDiaries platform • the breeders behind the genetics • the sponsors supporting the journey • and the entire growing community ⸻ 🌿 Closing Things are moving fast now. From here on, it’s about: • observation • patience • and letting the plant finish its story And honestly… they’re doing it beautifully. 📡 DELETED @ 1K Please stay tuned.we never quit https://www.youtube.com/@DOGDOGTHEDOCTOR NEW 🙏 Thank you for your patience and continued support. Be a giver, and the universe will give back in ways you could never imagine. 💚 Growers love to all 💚 📸 P.S. – The Eye Behind the Lens All photos in this diary (for now — except for the ones showing the camera, which I took with an iPhone) are taken with a Sony A6700 paired with a Sony full-frame macro lens and a few more. Photography is part of the story — it’s how we share the fine textures, the glow, and the quiet details that words can’t always capture. I’ve also started experimenting with photo stacking — a technique where multiple images, each taken at a slightly different focus point, are layered together to create one perfectly sharp image from front to back. It’s not digital enhancement or AI; it’s pure photography — a way to reveal the plant’s beauty in microscopic depth, from trichome to petal. You’ll even see a few shots of "ghost me" capturing the shots — camera, lens, setup — because every grow deserves not just to be cultivated, but documented like art. A great week of growth and development. Did a small defoliation, and clean of the tent. The girls are very leafy, and some of that needed to go to increase air flow and prevent issues from developing. Love this time of growing as there is not much to do, but watch the buds stack! Happy Gardening 👊❤️🇨🇦
