DAY 49 F: Hi Growmies. It seems that the girl scout cookies have thrown me a curveball by going for another pistil flush !!. I thought they were close to finish , especially #1 who looked ready to trot at the start of the week but as I watched , the pistils began popping up on the plants. With 2 weeks left this was a relief!. A quick finish is never my goal with flowering but not trying this strain before , I did think it may be the auto version finishes quicker. They are now on their dragon force finish feeds for the next week to power those converted nutes to good use. As there are now 3 Girl scouts and only 2 amnesia haze , they are all naturally fading with some beautiful colours among the leaves . The Amnesia are going strong on building the bud stacks and plenty of trichromes build up now too. They are starting to look quite potent and they smell so fruity sweet now. I am keeping the rh at around 55% so far but have plenty of airflow too. All the bud sets are really nicely compacted on these girls so far with the exception of the critical cheese but she is a sativa and only now hitting her true stride. Hopefully her long colas will be formed into long donkey appendages before harvest.!!. I will keep feeding as the Amnesia gets fed as they should finish around the same time too. The tent is filling up with varying strain smells now and when I opent the flap , a sweet , pungent weed and fruit aroma oozes out. Be safe and well

It’s week 2 already. Week 2 is maybe, maybe, the most important week of the plants life. Time to turn the humidity down based on the temperature your room holds, with as much light as you can create. Now is also the time to introduce co2…as long as your humidity and temperature is right and there’s LOTS OF LIGHT. Co2+light=photosynthesis, and in a perfect world your temp is 78 degrees, humidity 50-55%. These are the only things that matter now. These plants are killing it right now growing visible amounts in just a few days. Every thing was pulled off the plant that is under the netting. While the plants were stretching everything was forced back under the net for the 1st 10 days of flower. Then everything is allowed to grow vertically for the rest of flower. At the end of week 2 is super important. I let the plants dry all the way out. If you think they are dry, wait another day. This is to get as much oxygen to the root zone as possible. Then I flush the plants with 1.0 EC that consists of 50ml/10gal cal mag, 50ml/10gal of sturdy stalk(potassium silicate) and 50ml/10gal of canna pk13/14. Canna pk13/14 is the only non Emerald Harvest product I’ve used in the last 3 years. After the dry out/1.0ec flush of the plants we push the plants with daily 2.0ec feedings until it’s time to flush with fresh water the last week or so of its life. Scratch what I said at the end of last week pests are still around just had some bug fly at me and bite/sting me on the neck now a got a welt on my neck smh, not sure what the heck it was it was some sort of black bug maybe a thrip but I honestly have no idea, did another neem oil drench on the medium only and tomorrow I'm going to use a hydrogen peroxide mixture again that way I can also use it on the tops and undersides of the leaves as well. Some of the roots started to become exposed on the top soil so I added more an inch or two coco to cover the exposed roots. Another successful week I guess the plants aren't dead so onto week 9, Week 4 of flower

The last day

Hi Growmies, I'm excited to share some big news today! Although there have been some unexpected twists, it's all part of the incredible journey of gardening. I've just completed the harvest, a tad earlier than initially planned, due to finding a bit of mold in one of the buds. Despite this minor hiccup, the trichomes were already at a decent 10% to 15% amber. So, all things considered, the timing ended up being pretty spot-on. The harvested weight was a solid 609 grams after trimming, which is quite a feat! A lesson learned for next time: perhaps I let her grow a few too many buds, leading to a denser canopy than ideal. But on the bright side, the aroma is absolutely divine. I sampled an airy bud that had dried a bit, and wow, it packs a stronger punch than its clone mother. And the flavor? Pure, unadulterated cheese – no hint of pineapple here! Now, the anticipation builds for the final dry weight, which I should know in about 3-4 days. These ladies are solid and filled with tons of orange hairs. The smell is like no other of citrus and fresh cut wood. One week then I am going to flush her.

wow! this girl also took the fish shit i gave her last week and turned it into huge buds! I am going to do this every year from now onwards. No visible PWM either, just like the others. Will go out to the pot patch mid week after this leftover weather from hurricane Fiona clears to see how they fared in the high humidity and low temps.

A rainy day for this girl as she navigates the tropical depression passing over our island…the rain and Saharan dust is dumping plenty of nutrients on her.

In the last week, the plants grow a lot, they are very healthy, the firstly pistils are showing up. I think that the next week will start the bloom season.

Day 41 - 07/12/19 This one has grown a hell of a lot of fan leaves. had to pluck a lot of them. now the light can penetrate lower growth. theres a lovely NYCD smell coming from this one! smells amazing! Height is 36cm at the tallest cola and thats with a big LST. trying to keep height down as i have not added rope rachets to my lights yet. Im gonna be giving a fair bit of Nitrogen this week (Canna A), potassium and phosphorus (Canna B) as flowering stage is here :) Changed Ph from around 6.6/6.7 - 6.3 Added a few pictures and a video to show progress from last week. not much else this week just happy little plants! Day 43 - 09/12/19 Just rotating the diesel now twice a day so it all gets light coverage as im keeping my Quick One plant mostly under the flowering lights until its harvest next week. apparently the quick one has a polyploid mutation causing it to have a much bigger yield. so i think it deserves the light for a few more days. The diesel is still giving off that lovely smell and getting bigger every day. its definitely wider than my quick one and soon to be taller. Had to defoliate some of the bigger fan leaves to allow more light through to lower growth as the odd fan leaf was turning yellow. Ive been feeding 2 times with nutes and water phed and giving only phed water on the third occassion to prevent salt buildup and nutrient toxicities.
