Day 78 - The exciting weeks begins! The smell is nice and fruity and more pistils are browning by the day. Also happy to report that no height was gained on the main colas in the last 10 days. This is a good thing, as my lights are as height as it gets for my tent. I've had to keep the tent pretty wrapped up lately to let the carbon filter do it's thing. The smell is amazing, but creeping down my stairwell if I don't keep an eye on it. 🍊🌲 Day 79 - She's taking up less water these days. Could be influenced by the high humidity in the area and defoliation. Everything looks good and some of the satellite buds are starting to really brown their hairs. Day 80 - Trichomes on some of the satellite buds are turning cloudy! The rest are all still very clear. We've made it into the 80's, not long now! 🌲 Day 81 - Rolling into the 80's! All seems good today. Day 82 - Water uptake is reducing. Pistils are turning brown on the lower ends on the colas now. Day 83 - Starting to see cloudy trichomes on some bud, but most are still clear. Looking really frosty. 🍊🌲 Day 84 - The end of the week! I'm thinking she'll be close to 100 days before the harvest. Everything went well this week - if only the humidity in my area would drop a bit that would help out. Onto the final weeks!

I've seen a visible decrease in live spider mites. Spraying Captain Jack's Deadbug every 3rd day. 2 treatments so far. I took a sample bud from the very center of the plant to examine with my loupe (still need to order a microscope). From what I can tell, most of the trichomes are cloudy. Drying the sample in a brown paper bag. I still don't know if my leaves are turning yellow due to light stress, nutrient deficiency, or because the plant is close to being finished. I've clipped a bunch of leaves off both from yellowing and because there were a bunch of visible spider mite eggs underneath. There's been a definite decrease in spider mites after 3 treatments, but they're not totally eliminated yet.

Die finale Woche beginnt. 🌿 Abschlussbericht – Franco’s Lemon Cheese 🍋🧀 | Tag 80 – Ernte Tag 80. Heute ist der Tag, auf den ich die ganze Zeit hingearbeitet habe: Erntezeit. Nach geduldigem Warten ist der Amber-Anteil jetzt genau da, wo ich ihn haben wollte – und damit ist für mich der perfekte Punkt erreicht, um die Schere anzusetzen. Dieser Run war für mich vor allem eins: Kontrolle, Geduld und Feintuning. Ich hab bewusst nicht überhastet reagiert, sondern die Pflanze sauber bis zum Ende geführt. Die letzten Tage waren nochmal pures Beobachten: Trichome checken, Reife bewerten, Bauchgefühl + Lupe zusammenführen – und heute hat’s einfach „klick“ gemacht. Was ich mitnehme aus diesem Grow • Timing schlägt Stress: Das bisschen extra warten hat sich gelohnt – genau diese letzten Prozent machen am Ende den Unterschied. • Reife vor Optik: Nicht nur nach „sieht fertig aus“ gehen, sondern nach dem, was die Trichome wirklich sagen. • Stabil bis zum Schluss: Gerade die Endphase entscheidet, ob man mit einem guten Ergebnis endet oder mit einem „hätte ich mal…“. Jetzt startet Phase 2 Ab jetzt geht’s nicht mehr um Wachstum, sondern um Qualität sichern: Trocknung, Klima, Geduld – und dann Curing, bis die Franco’s Lemon Cheese genau das wird, was sie sein soll: hart, aromatisch, sauber, fertig. Ich halte euch auf dem Laufenden mit den nächsten Updates zu: • Wet Trim / Dry Trim • Trocknungsdauer & Klima • Erster Smoke-/Vape-Test • Curing-Woche 1–4 Bis hierhin: Run sauber durchgezogen. Slow growth, stress signals early on, and clearly behind her sisters. But plants don’t quit — they adapt. She stayed smaller (~60 cm), but instead of stretching for size, she focused on recovery and survival. And now, in Week 5 of flower, we’re seeing something special: 👉 A full metabolic comeback 👉 Active water uptake (~1.2L/day) 👉 Healthy flower development despite early setbacks This is why we document everything — not just perfection, but resilience. 🔬 Macro World — What We’re Really Seeing This week, we zoom in — literally. Great climate, ideal. No problems to report, for the moment the critters are focused on something else. If it doesn't get too hot, I'll start reducing irrigation and defoliate more. Today 13.27 hours of light. My Gorilla is doing well, lots of flowers are forming although they are smaller than those in Special Kush # 1. Strong cheese smell. The supercropped twin branches will become one giant bud. August 19 update - Very initial mites infestation promptly treated with nettle macerate spray. August 21 update - first day of new heat wave
