Vegetation Day 37: We’ve officially entered the final week of veg! I’ve been away in Prague for 3 days, so this update is unfortunately a day later than usual. Sorry about that, guys! But here’s one important fact: “Happy wife, happy life.” 😂 During that time, the girls put on some nice biomass and pushed out plenty of potential new growth sites. That meant it was time for a bit of defoliation to get some light back into the inner canopy and reach as many bud sites as possible. From here on out, I’ll only be tucking down the upper tops to create an as even canopy as possible before flipping to flower. I deliberately decided to run this grow without a SCROG net… and instantly regretted that decision. Just check the picture. Got a little too ambitious and ended up fixing the damage with some tape. You live and learn! 🤦‍♂️ _______________________________________________________ Vegetation Day 40: We’ve left the plants undisturbed for the past 3 days. There was only one watering on Day 39 — you’ll find the details below. The pale new growth and leaf tips are completely typical of fresh growth. When plants develop new leaves rapidly under good lighting, chlorophyll synthesis can lag slightly behind during the first few days. Almost all LST clips were removed today. The damaged spot from Day 37 seems to be healing well. The branch looks just as healthy as the others. The substrate pH needs to come up a bit now. The acidic buffer in the Light-Mix is slowly wearing off, so we’re raising the watering pH to 6.5 to get the substrate ready for flowering. The runoff readings below are telling us exactly that. 💧 At the next watering, we’ll also be introducing additional nutrients for the first time in over 40 days. 🌱 _______________________________________________________ Vegetation Day 42: The last day of veg is here! Tomorrow, it’s time to switch the lights to 12/12. 🌱 Quite a bit has happened since the last update. The plants have put on some serious growth and added quite a bit more biomass. I’m also really happy with the number of potential bud sites developing. A quick update on how the Hindu Kush from @SensiSeeds handled training: Both LST and topping went really well. The plants took it in their stride and bounced back without any signs of stress. The small break on one of the branches was entirely my own fault. 😅 Nutrients: 💧 • 3,5–4 L per plant • 1 ml/L @Plagron Power Roots • 1 ml/L @Plagron CalMag Pro • pH: 6.5 • EC: 0.7 Run off: 💧 • EC: 0,9-1,5 mS/cm • PH: 5,5-5,6 • Current Conditions: 🔥 • PPFD: ~450–500 • Light distance: 55 cm • Temperature: 24°C • RH: ~55–60% Let’s see what this final week of veg has in store for us. Stay tuned, boys and girls! 💚

Repotted veg area. Most are still babies. Will receive final transplants before going into flower in a couple more weeks. The clone I took from the sativa-dom is doing well, as is the og lemon x cupcake. Will veg these two for the longest, and will eventually end up in 5-7 gal pots. Also plan to take some cuttings from these two. Two girls in flower are approx 21 days apart. I call them the supercroppeds because that’s what they are. Sc1 is on day 49 of flower a/o aug28 and sc2 is on day 28. Both seem happy and healthy. Believe there may be an abundance of nitrogen in sc1 as some leaf tips are burnt and folding back. Two plants about a month in veg have been put into flower as well. A sort of 12/12 from seed kinda thing. I have been experimenting with the basics thus far. A sea of green will be underway in a couple more weeks, once these babies grow to toddlers. Been outdoors mostly, no nutrients. Plain Jane from Mother Earth. Comes out great each year. All unknown strain bagseed. A tad different growing in a 2x2 room.

It's been another successful week. It's another successful week. The girls will soon get mineral food because the deficits are definitely too large despite the increase in food doses.💪

The final week!Just waiting for the trichomes to shift from milky/clear ---> milky/30% amber. This girl was unfortunately nutrient locked since week 3 of flower, due to low ph (~4). Yield suffered. Potency didn't!

Howdy, This week has gone well, plant seems healthy with no noticeable deficiencies. My res leaked because a tube I had in the back was in the wrong place but all is sorted now. Thinking it was a crack in the tub, I drained it... So I had to replenish with a new set of nutes which I'm going to drag out for another 5/6 days. PPM's are steadily dropping and PH is increasing so shes definitely ready for a richer feed. Also learned about different TDS with the whole 0.5/0.7 conversion rate. When topping for the 3rd time, I was a little too rough with one of the colas and it snapped without me realizing. I noticed about 2 hours later by which time it had already dried out a bit, its still alive but the growth is stunted. Added a bit of PK as I noticed a few fan leaves had purple stems, cleared up within 2 days and back to lime green 🙃🌱 Update 22/08 - Day 30 from Sprout. Changed out res as PH kept dropping and leaves started to go very slightly yellow. New nodes are already growing well, 3 times bigger than 2 days ago. I think I'm going to flip on or around the 6th of September, which means a total of 45 days veg, or 6 and a half weeks. Next couple of weeks will just be about pruning lower leaves and some HST/LST. Might get a scrog net, tried using a tomato hoop but the one I have is shit... Going well so far anyway!

Only 2 Pistles are showing very early flower. Plant doesn't seem to be getting any taller this is a genetic issue I think. Going to a different breeder next run. I think they are white label genetics.

🌱 Germination Journey with Terpyz Mutant Mentha de Croco 🌱 Hey Grow Fam! Today kicks off an exciting adventure with Terpyz Mutant Mentha de Croco genetics. I’ve got 10 regular seeds ready to sprout, and I’m looking forward to discovering some beautiful female phenotypes—and maybe even a standout male for potential future breeding. It’s been a while since I’ve worked with regular seeds, so I’m thrilled to dive in! Germination Process Overview: Here’s a step-by-step rundown of the germination setup and process, with a special focus on the equipment and nutrients that are helping these seeds thrive right from the start. Step 1: TheCannaKan Germination Pod 🌱 For germination, I rely on TheCannaKan—a device I’ve come to love and trust. It’s designed to create the perfect microclimate for seed germination, and within just 24 hours, the seeds started showing signs of life. By the 32-hour mark, they were all ready to be transferred to the next stage! I can’t recommend this gadget enough for anyone serious about getting strong, early growth from their seeds. • Why TheCannaKan? • Humidity Control: Ensures seeds stay hydrated without oversaturation. • Stable Temperature: Maintains an even temperature around the seeds, so there’s no shock or stalling. • Enhanced Oxygenation: Keeps fresh air circulating, helping prevent mold and ensuring seeds don’t suffocate. Step 2: Transfer to Root Riots & Aptus Holland Supplements 💧 Once the seeds were sprouted, I transferred them into Root Riots, known for their excellent water retention and structure that encourages strong root growth. Root Riots also have a pH-balanced, spongy texture that makes it easy for roots to penetrate, promoting sturdy, healthy root systems. At this stage, I started using Aptus Holland’s Regulator and Startbooster at 1ml/L each. Here’s why I chose these products for early growth: • Aptus Regulator (1ml/L): Helps strengthen the plants against environmental stresses by supporting cell wall structure. It’s a fantastic choice for giving young seedlings an early boost in resilience. • Aptus Startbooster (1ml/L): This product provides essential microbes and nutrients that stimulate root growth and early plant vigor. Especially for regular seeds, the early root development makes a noticeable difference in later growth stages. Step 3: Lighting with Future of Grow (FOG) LED at 200 PPFD 💡 For lighting, I’m using a Future of Grow (FOG) 600W LED. For the germination stage, I’ve dimmed it to around 200 PPFD (photosynthetic photon flux density), which provides just enough light for healthy, strong seedling growth without overwhelming them. • Why Low Intensity? • 200 PPFD ensures that young plants aren’t exposed to too much light, which could cause stress or stunting. This level of intensity is perfect for encouraging healthy development without risking “stretching.” • The FOG LED provides a balanced spectrum tailored to plant growth, setting up these young sprouts for success as they grow. Step 4: Environmental Control with TrolMaster Tent X Controller 📲 For monitoring and control, I’m using the TrolMaster Tent X Controller, which lets me dial in every aspect of the environment to make sure these little ones have the perfect conditions for germination and early growth. • TrolMaster Benefits: • Precision Control: Adjust temperature, humidity, and lighting all in one place. • Notifications: Sends updates in real-time to my device, so I can make adjustments as needed without being physically present. • Consistency: Maintains stable conditions around the clock, reducing stress on seedlings and ensuring they’re thriving. Grow Tips & Reflections: Germination is one of the most crucial stages in a plant’s lifecycle. Starting with strong genetics like Terpyz Mutant Mentha de Croco, combined with a solid germination setup and the right nutrients, creates the foundation for a successful grow. 💡 Quick Tips for Fellow Growers: • Hydration Balance: Don’t oversaturate! Moisture levels should be high enough for the seeds to sprout but not so wet that they drown. • Light Management: A low PPFD for young seedlings prevents stretch and keeps nodes tight, preparing them for a healthy vegetative phase. • Environment Consistency: Use a reliable controller like the TrolMaster Tent X to manage your settings, and consider monitoring tools for real-time adjustments. Shout Outs to the Community: Big thanks to Terpyz Genetics for these incredible seeds, Aptus Holland for their top-notch nutrients, Future of Grow for the stellar LED lights, and TrolMaster for the amazing controller. Also, shout out to all of you in the growing community—you make this journey exciting and filled with endless learning. Let’s keep growing and sharing together! That’s it for the germination update! Next up, I’ll be monitoring growth closely to identify strong females (and maybe a standout male for breeding). I'm a couple days late on updating, but everyone is in the ground! They spent almost a week outside hardening off. One night despite the forecast it got down to 38F and I was very worried, but it didn't phase them much. I stuck them in with my tomatoes as camouflage and added seaweed as mulch which I need to finish. We finally got rain yesterday, the first we've had in weeks so I'm sure the garden is grateful. I'm using tomato cages again this year because last year they worked great. I think everything is in the video.
