Welcome back to the tent. Here is the streamlined update for our star performer.
🌿 Grow Diary: Week 7 Flower (Day 50 / 66)
Strain: MAC 1 F1 Hybrid (Barney's Farm)
Status: Day 50 of a 66-day cycle—16 days left to go!
🌡️ Climate & Environment
The grow room environment is perfectly dialed in for late flower. Daytime temperatures reach a comfortable maximum of 27°C, while lights-off minimums drop to 21°C, maintaining an ideal 6-degree day/night differential. To protect the dense, ripening canopy from bud rot, the dehumidifier is running 24/7 to keep the relative humidity consistently low and dry.
📝 Weekly Progress & Strategy
• Pistil Check: Upper canopy pistils are almost entirely orange due to previous high light intensity, which has now been dialed back to 80%. The lower canopy is still actively pushing white pistils, confirming she has at least two weeks left to fully ripen.
• Canopy & Feeding: Following a recent defoliation, a final leaf cleanup is scheduled for this coming Sunday. Immediately after, the final nutrient flush will begin to guide her smoothly into harvest.
• Garden Standings: This girl is easily the most beautiful flowering plant in the garden right now, outshining even the structurally impressive Gorilla Glue x White Widow.

Because it felt like things were getting way too intense, and it just needed some space to chill at 80%!

Good stretch this week, I haven’t lollipopped at all, not even in veg. It’s fairly leafy everywhere and I want to get in there and defoliate bottom 1/3 soon.
A lot of dead leaves I imagine, just been so busy and been neglecting the grow. Funny, how when you first start out and you’re overly micro-managing and then as the months go by, it starts to become a chore.
I ordered a light from China, a Meijiu (HLG)550 V3. HLG Canada didn’t want to give me a decent discount so, unfortunately had to ship my money outside the country. Saved 50% for a quality light though. Might take a bit to get here, been processing in Hong Kong for 4 days.
So far the leaves are healthy but last run they started to turn deficient after the stretch. In my defence, with the last grow, I was just starting on the dry nutrient regimen and made mistakes. Hopefully it stays healthy throughout bloom cycle with new changes and knowledge.
New reservoir this week as follows:
Partial drain, most of it gone, but 100mL RO added and;
40 gram cal nit
30 jacks
30 mag sulph.
100mL mighty bloom enhancer
100mL head masta
300 mL h2o2
25 mL Fulvic
40mL Humic
pH ended up high with addition of bloom enhancer, added pH down to 5.8.
PPM 1360.
Wednesday-Day 10
Added water and some nutes.
PPM 1200
pH 6.0
Started a small section of lower 1/3 defoliation
Day 11
Did some more defoliation, added a video to show progress.
Day 12
Finished lollipop on right plant. Moved some branches around. Added 20 liters and 20g cal nit, 10g of both jacks and magnesium sulphate.

Die Trauermücken sind deutlich im Rückgang.
Der Luftentfeuchter tut sein Bestes unter 62% schafft er es leider nicht. Was mir etwas zu feucht für die Blüte ist - daher habe ich die Umluft nochmals erhöht und auch im Bereich der erde 2 Ventilatoren installiert.
Jedes zweite Wässerung ist ein 24h gebrühter Compost-Tea.
der Geruch ist sehr süß-fruchtig leichte spuren Gasig.
Die Trichombildung ist recht ansehnlich
Ich versuche jeden - jeden zweiten Tag ein paar Blätter zu entfernen die Schatten auf Top-Buds werfen. Nie mehr als 5-10 Stk.

Day 84 – Grow
Day 29 – Flowering Phase:
Fungus gnats have decreased significantly. The dehumidifier is doing its best, but unfortunately it cannot reduce relative humidity below 62%, which is slightly too high for the flowering stage. Therefore, air circulation has been increased further, and two additional fans have been installed at soil level.
Every second watering consists of a compost tea brewed for 24 hours. The aroma is very sweet and fruity, with slight gassy notes. Trichome production is quite impressive.
Every one to two days, a few leaves are selectively removed that cast shade on the top buds — never more than 5–10 leaves at a time.

Sour wiz came out amazing. Not many problems during her grow. Each pheno came out really different but that’s from my doing. I trained each plant differently to see what the difference would be. Responds really well to stress and training. I can’t tell you in words how great the flowers are. They’re literally coated in trichomes and smell and taste so damn good. Fruity sweet gasoline. Started the week at 725 ppm which was stronger than I meant to. Remixed on day 38 to 650 ppm. I've been adding the ph up incorrectly. Noticed some calmag deficiency in the last day or two so I'll be upping the calmag to 15 ml. She seems to be doing well. I'm losing the battle against the smell. My whole house smells like dank.she drinks 1 gallon every 24 hours I only add ph'd water between feeds. I cant believe she grew 7 inches this week!

Got 3 more in dark period, and 4 on the drying.
Aiming for slow dry around 15 days.

The harvest was chill but took me three hours. I decided to cut wet and now they are drying for at least one week. The wet weight was 255g. After one week of drying the weight was 60g.

This plant is a test of a new genetic I hope to release from GHSC which I thank for letting me try these delicacies.
The highest quality is the resin, oh my how much resin has spread on the flowers and leaves, even the most peripheral ones. Exceptional way of rendering this plant. It's also very very fast, ready in 9 weeks and I really love the way even the leaves turn dark on purple at the end of their life, beautiful.
The production also seems excellent we have a great result on the scales, the flowering is in clusters, you are not impressed by the space between one internode and the other from a cluster flowering but the flowers are dense and heavy and with this resin for me it could flourish as it pleases.
I really hope that the GHSC masters decide to let it out, I advise you to be careful on the site and on social networks and grab more serious seeds than the situation for the season.

This has by far been the most stressful part of the grow. as I'm trying to increase yield as much as possible, and in doing so f£&ked around and found out the hard way. She has gone into what I would say is severe shock this on the 31/1/25 will be the 3rd day of shock hopefully she can pull through and start growing again 🙏 🤞
