Clementine Slush #3: Her spot in the back left means I'll have to do some interesting shaping to keep her back edges from spreading too far and touching the sides of the tent. Outside of that, she is stretching nice and growing well! She is loving that back grow and responding really well to the stability in general. Tent-Wide Updates: Week 2 Flower — Big Trim Complete!!! Week 2 of flower is officially in the books, and this was the week where the plants really started showing me what kind of canopy I was working with! My goal coming into flower was to keep stress as low as possible. I had done a lot of training during veg, and after dealing with seeded runs in the past, I really wanted to avoid stacking stress during the transition. For most of the first two weeks, I stayed very hands-off outside of small maintenance trims where branches or leaves were being pushed into the tent walls. The biggest challenge continued to be humidity. These five plants are transpiring like crazy and drinking an enormous amount of water, so I focused heavily on environmental control instead of plant manipulation. I added: - a second fan aimed through the middle/under canopy - stronger oscillating airflow across the canopy - a 25-foot 6-inch exhaust hose so I could vent the humid tent air directly outside instead of recycling it into the lung room That made a huge difference. Once we reached around Flower Day 14, I finally did the planned big cleanup. Each plant got a selective lower and interior defoliation/lollipop, removing weak shaded branches, large fan leaves that were trapping moisture, and growth that clearly wasn't going to reach useful light. I tried very hard not to go overboard haha. The goal was not to strip the plants, but to create airflow channels through the canopy and remove growth that wasn't contributing much. The plants responded beautifully! Within a day or two they were already standing tall, stretching, and stacking flower sites like nothing happened. My Week 2 reservoir feed gradually shifted more toward flower nutrition while still leaving a little Ventana Plant Science Grow in the mix. Average Week 2 feed per gallon: 0.75 ml Ventana Plant Science Structure 0.5–1.25 ml Ventana Plant Science Grow 2.25–3 ml Ventana Plant Science Flower 8.5 ml Ventana Plant Science Support EC: 1.2–1.3 pH: 5.5–5.7 No Expand yet during Week 2. The plants continued drinking around 4 gallons every 1–2 days, which is honestly getting kind of ridiculous haha. I am still sticking with my smaller, clean reservoir strategy instead of filling the full 12 gallons. The reservoir stays extremely clean, there is no algae or biological buildup, and I can make small nutrient adjustments with each refill. The biggest change heading into Week 3 is that stretch is beginning to slow and the flowers are really starting to stack. From here, the goal is simple: Hands off. Stable environment. Stable feed. Let the flowers build. I am extremely happy with how healthy the tent looks right now, and I am hoping this low-stress approach gives me exactly what I want — healthy, high-quality, seed-free flower.

Got a little hot outside this week again and temps in the tents reached a high of 92. They hovered around 85-88 most of the time, and nighttime temps around 75. The plants have been loving the tropical like environments, and in fact showing less signs of stress now they are in warmer temps. I got my magnesium dialed back in with a few applications of Epsom Salt. The pants drank twice as normal this week. I also gave them a feeding with my fermented fruit juice I made and they seem to be loving it. I got a new bottle of cal-mag and does not seem to be as acidic, so i can add a little more than I was without it ruining my ph. It too about 15ml per gallon of the FFJ to Ph my water down form 7.8 to 6.5. I tested it before use and its PH is around 2.5. Between the Epsom salt, FFJ, and kelp. The plants are really starting to bounce back from their slight unhappiness. They are all looking near 100 percent health. At the end of the week they are are raging and praying to the light like theirs no tomorrow. Glowing vibrant lush green, the buds are also already a decent size for only being week 2. The plants and in much need of some defoliation but I will wait one more week after stretch to get that taken care of. The dehumidifier running during night cycle has been keeping things in check. The clones rooted and I potted them up to 1 gallon so I now have small moms. I got new worms and my worm bins cleaned out and set up again. Each of the 65 gallon pots got a small ball of worms added to the top soil to get the worm populations growing in them again. I was hoping those casting I added a few weeks ago with added worm eggs would hatch some but no luck so i just got some from Uncle Jim's worm farm.

This week I'm going to talk a little bit about the 2 gal pots I leave outdoors. Since they're going to be indoors now, I've assembled a fertilizer rack and the bottom compartment is perfect for a cage with all the plants I have. With a length of 1.5m, width 65cm and height of 1m, I will use 4 led bulbs 50w and 2 full spectrum LEDs 36w long 1.2m. 272w / ~ 1m2. 2/3:Plant the plants indoors and lst them. 4 led bulb 50w 5/3:Run off all the trees, as it was soaked with rain water when left outside. is still the old nutritional dose. 6/3: Today I received the led light I ordered. I perfect my design and let the tree in the cage out and lst. 9/3:I feel everything is perfect today, I reduce their lighting time to 12/12. I will cut off all the fan leaves from the stem of the 2gal pots and prune all the small branches of the 1gal pot. in this pruning I will trim them as much as possible. It's been 37 days since the seed and I think they're ready for flowering. I need to flower them urgently because in the next 2 months the weather can be as hot as 40 degrees, and I really have no way to reduce their temperature. I would probably have them flower for 7 to 8 weeks to retain maximum resin. a few days before high, I fliming an NL plant, I experimented with this technique and I feel that they have been very successful since the fliming plants have a much larger stump than other plants. I really like this technique, as it will save me the small space I currently have without having toppings. With just a few simple steps I have got a really big stump and still keep the biggest main bud of the tree. I hope each plant can give me 20-25 grams of dried marijuana.

Looks like she ran outta nutes, leaves are showing some deficiency signs (in my POV nitrogen). So I started feeding her with a diluted mix I normally use for my bigger girl in bloom — around 500 PPM. Let’s see if she bounces back. Honestly, I’m not a fan of growing in soil… but that’s probably ‘cause I don’t fully get it yet. You gotta stay on top of things and fix issues as they come. In coco? It’s pretty much autopilot.

So week 7 down and this is the longest they’ve stayed looking this healthy. Finally avoiding under / over feeding them once they’ve used up all the nutes in the soil around week 5/6. This last week just a top dress with a locally sourced 2/8/4 organic amendment. And not overwatering of course, I’m giving them 3/4L every 4/5 days when the pots are properly light. Seems to have done the trick so far. Pretty stress free. Only issue is SP2. Not sure if it’s just a weird plant or I messed it up somehow. (I’m going with plant error as the others are fine). Anyway it just didn’t stretch, at all. Basically no side branches and all it’s pistils are shrivelled up already, looks about a week away from harvest with these puny little buds. Weird little thing. Only keeping it going for shits & giggles as there’s still space for it in the grow. This next week more of the same. Have put swapped the 600w bulb in for the 400w bulb as I try and gradually increase the light. Still in plenty of weed from last grows. Still no money spent on wankstain kids selling me crappy weed. Bank balance transformed. Big smiles in this household. Thanks for reading, have a great week 😊

After switching the light schedule, our supposed "autoflowers" have finaly started to show signs of actually flowering. Week 9, what a trip. This grow is full of surprises and new lessons for me: the potting mix i have used for this grow is apparently purely peat (black and white peat moss) with perlite mixed in. After digging into some more information about all kinds of soils i found out that i was apparently growing "hydroponically" because this is apparently a soilless mix. The world is full of surprises 😅 This does explain a lot of the stuff that i've been trying to deal with in the last few weeks: first and foremost my plants were looking like they were developing a range of different nutrient deficiencies. I still find it hard to tell which ones, but symptoms ranged from decoloration and deformation of the lower leafs up to small burnt tips on the developing flowers, new growth being brittle and signs that looked like underwatering. I'm convinced that this has a lot to do with the fact tht this is a soilless medium with 0 pre-supplied nutrients (the light mix does supply nutrients for a week or two, but no more). I've been going really slow on the feeding because in previous runs i tended to overfeed and had issues with that, so therefore only used about a quarter to half of the recommended dosages. So, at this point i've completely switched up my feeding: i bought 2 new bottles of hydroponic fertilizers (GHE Bloom and GHE Micro) and i'm using those in addition to a little bit of plagron terra grow - to make sure the plant also gets its fair share of nitrogen. After 3 days of watering with this stuff (both at 2ml/L) the plants are almost literally screaming "THANK YOU!" and seem to be really benefitting from this new insight and change of strategies.
