Week 14 is here! The girls are almost done, i see alot of amber trichomes and some cloudy, so i will begin the flush in the next couple of days and then harvest in a week or two. The buds are rock hard and extremely frosty, really sticky stuff! The smell is so strong and very sweet on the nose. I see some deficiencies in both of them but they are so close to done/flush that i'm not going to go ham with nutrients to fix them. Good growing everyone!

5/25 Some pics may be repeated because I forgot to add a new week. Waited until about 11 to bring the girls outside. They were definately dry on top so I used the rest of the gallon to water them. When going outside I noticed a specific kush plant that's lighter than the rest. I really need to up my water volume on these big plants. They are also getting close to not liking it in the 1 gal. and are ready for a transplant. I cleaned the cage so as soon as the weather permits these girls will be outside in the direct sunlight. Basking in the sun in the cage to finish hardening before going into their final homes which will be 20-30 gal smart pots and a 50 gal grow pot. Well SOME of them are ready for transplant. The link kush seems to take its time but it looks extremely indica-E. Weather looks like it will be amazing this week so I'm obviously stoked. Wouldn't suprise me if these girls were outdoors be the end of the week! EDIT: THE GIRLS STAYED OUT FOR 3.5 HOURS AND LOOKED FANTASTIC. TUEY GOT SOME INTENSE SUN, EXPOSIRE TO THE HIGH RH AND A LITTLE EXPISURE TO THE HIGH WINDS. SPECIAL KUSH SEEMS TO BE THRIVING. I THINK IT WILL DO WELL IN THIS CLIMATE. THAT ONE MK ULTRA IS GROWING AT A RIDICULOUS RATE. I WATERED THE PIBK KUSH THAT WAS LIGHT. I CANT WAIT FOR THE UPCOMING WEATHER. I CAN EXPOSE THE PLANTS TO SOME DIRECT SUNLIGHT AND SEE HOW THEY HANDLE IT. I CAN ALSO GET THE GROW BAGS READY WITH SOIL MOXED AND THEM IN THE RIGHT LOCATION THE DAY BEFORE THE TRWNSPLANT TO FINAL HOME BUT IM GETTING AHEAD OF MYSELF. IM HAPPY THUS FAR. I also added another half hour of darkness so the plants will be closer to actual daylight times. They're down to 16.5. I'd like to have them lower by now but it is what it is. If some reveg I'll deal with it. 5/26 Plants seem to grow an inch I'm a day. MOST are getting to the point where they want to stretch their feet out. Good thing they'll be going in their final homes as soon as they are hardened off completely. I brought them out around 8 this morning. I have to be back at noon but I'm uncertain if leaving them out that long is a good idea. I'll probably have to check them in an hour or so. They're in the lean-to but THAT gets direct sun until the sun rises high enough in the sky to block it. I put them in here rather than the cage so they can build a tolerance to these harsh winds. Topsoil was dry as fuck. I watered everything. I focused on those that SEEMED the lightest and the largest plants. That MK Ultra plant I fimmed is going to be MASSIVE. I'll update what I do as I do it. Oh I also cleaned the bags twice and they are hanging inside the cage with the direct uv rays hitting any part that's discolored. I MIGHT do one more cleaning but I doubt it. Twice is enough. Technically three times but still. I want things to go right. It looks like I've got some pretty good phenos. EDIT: I PULLED IN (BLOCKING VIEW FROM PART OF THE DRIVEWAY OFF) BECAUSE THAT WAS CLOSER TO MY PLANTS. I GET OUT AND START ADMIRING MY PLANTS AND LOOK ACROSS THE STREET TO SEE TWO STATE TROOPERS AND SOME DETECTIVE ACROSS THE STREET. DAD SAID AN AMBULANCE CAME BUT LEFT WITH NO LIGHTS ON. THEY WERE TALKIMG TO THE COUPLE SEPERATELY. I ATE LUNCH AND THEY WERE STILL THERE. MY HOT WIFE WENT OUT AND THE ALL STARTED FUCKING RUBBER NECKING. MEANWHILE I BROUGHT THE PLANTS INSIDE WITH THE SMALL COVER MY S.U.V PROVIDES LOL. PLANTS WERE LEFT IN DIRECT LIGHT UNTIL IT ROSE HIGH ENOUGH TO CUT IT OFF TO THE LEAN TO. PLANTS SEEM LIGHT. WELL SOME DO. I NEED TO GET A GOOD WATERING SCHEDULE DOWN. JUDGING BY HOW THESE PLANTS TOOK IT TODAY I THINK THEYLL BE OUTSIDE IN FOREVER HOMES WITHIN A WEEK. 5/27 Just poked my head in and checked on them real quick. NO damage whatsoever from all that time in the sun. I left them inside this morning so I can bring them out later in the day to see what happens. I'll add pics later and update what I do. EDIT: BROUGHT THE PLANTS OUT TO THE CAGE AT A LITTLE BEFORE 10AM AND LET THEM BASK IN THE 85° SUN. THE WIND WAS A LITTLE ROUGH ON THEM. IT WAS ACTUALLY THRASHING THEM BUT MY INTUITION SAID 'LEAVE THEM BE' SO I DID. I DID MORE CLEANING AND FIGURED OUT SPACING IN THE CAGE AND I MIXED A 30GAL GROW BAG AND 2 20GAL GROW BAGS WITH A 50/50 MIX OF FOX FARM OCEAN FOREST AND HAPPY FROG. SOUL WAS MIXED WITH A GRADE STAKE AFTER BEING PUT IN A GALLON AT A TIME (TO ENSURE EQUAL PARTS) AND FINALLY MISED BY HAND. TAKES A LOT OF WORK. IM NOT GOING TO BE AS PICKING WITH THE OTHER ONES. I STILL HAVE MY 50 WITH SOIL IN IT. MAINLY DUE TO LAZINESS AND THE PAIN IN THE ASS IT IS TO MOCE THE FUCKER. PLUS IF IM LOW ON SOIL (WHICH IM NOT) THAT WAS GOOD SOIL AND THE PLANT HAD NO PROBLEMS SO I GUESS IF NEEDED IT FOULD BE REUSED. I NORMALLY JUST EMPTY THAT FIRST AND MIX A SHIT TON OF SOIL IN THERE AND SHOVEL IT IN THE BAGS. THIS WAS MUCH HARDER. PLANTS GOT CLOSER TO 2 HOURS OF DIRECT SUNLIGHT BEFORE I MOVED THEM TO THE LEAN TO. I WILL UPDATE WHEN I HRING THEN IN BUT DESPITE THE HARSH SUN AND WIND THEY SEEM FINE. EDIT: BROUGHT THE GIRLS IN AT TWO BECAUSE MY WIFE HAD AN APPOINTMENT. NO DAMAGE WHATSOEVER. I THINK IF I USE THIS WEEK TO INCREASE DAYLIGHT HOURS AND UP THE WATERING THESE PLANTS WILL BE READY TO GO IN THEIR HOMES. A FEW ARE BIG AND DEF READY TO STRETCH THEIR FEET. 5/28 With the increased sun some these plants are out growing their containers. PLANTS SPENT APPROX AN HOUR AND A HALF IN DIRECT 85° SUN. EVERYTHING SEEMED FINE AND I WAS GOING TO LEAVE THEM FOR THE DAY IN THE CAGE. THEN I NOTICED THE BIG MK ULTRA'S MAIN STEM (IT GOT FIMMED BUT THE MAIN ONE) WAS STARTING TO DROOP A LITTLE. I PICKED THE PIT UP AND DESPITE A LITTLE BIT OF MOUSTURE ON THE TOP THE PIY WAS LIGHT AS A FEATHER. PLUS SETTING ON THE THEM ON THE TAR WASN'T THE BEST IDEA EITHER. I MISED UP SOME WATER AND WATERED THE PLANTS THAT SEEMED LIGHT. I NEED TO PICK UP LIKE ONE MORE BAG OF OCEAN FOREST FOR MY 50 GAL. I'M GOING TO TRY TO FINISH MY OTHER TWO 20'S AND THE TWO 10'S TONIGHT SO I'LL KNOW WHAT IM LACKING. ITS BASICALLY JUST THE 50. IF MY INTUITION SAYS ITS OK ILL TALE THE "COOLER" DAY TOMORROW AND TRANSPLANT THE THREE PLANTS TGAT ARE GETTING TO BIG FOR THERE POT. ÌF NEEDED I MIGHT GET SOME SCREENS TO USE AS A "BLIND" SO THE PLANTS DONT GO STRAIGHT TO FULL SUN ALL DAY. EDIT: TJAT HUGE MK ULTRA REVOVETED NOCELY ONCE WATERED AND PUT IN THE SHADE. IT NEEDS TO BE TRANSPLANTED. I MAY DO ITCTOMORROW. PLANTS HAVE GOT TO BE CLOSE TO HARDENED. I MIXED ALL MY SOIL AND FILLED ALL THE GROW BAGS WITH THE MIX. I FINISHED CLEANING THE CAGE AND REMOVED BAMBOO AND TRELLISING. TOMORROW IS GOING TO BE A MILD DAY AND PERFECT FOR TRANSPLANT. SOME OF THESE GIRLS ARE GETTING VERY BIG. I RAN OUT OF SOIL AFTER THE LAST 10GAL GROW BAG. ITS NOT FILLED "ALL" THE WAY AND I GAVENT FILLED MY 50 GAL. I'LL GET THE REST OF THE SOIL I NEED FOR THAT 50 TOMORROW.

100419Day 70 flower 28 - switched fully to bloom nutes now and they are all starting to slowly fatten up, they are all turning lovely and frosty and the size of laughing Buddha on the middle is crazy, she is my monster 👌😁 140419 - changed feed to 2.5ml/l bloom 1.5ml/l bud candy and 1ml/l Calmag, half way through flowering and leaves are starting to turn yellow, don't think I have added enough bloom therefore lack of nitrogen in the soil. Buds are increasing in size however. 150419 - I think zkilltez of will be ready soon, trichomes are cloudy with a few amber , began 10 day flush today feeding 4 litres of 7.0 pH water every day now till the 25th which will be harvest day 😎

💎 Black Diamond Auto by Zamnesia – Pheno A Week 7 | The Black Diamond Begins to Shine Welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure! One of the things I love most about this project is watching every phenotype write its own story. Every plant grows under exactly the same conditions. The same environment. The same nutrients. The same lighting. The same watering schedule. The only thing changing is the genetics. Black Diamond Pheno A continues proving why phenotype hunts are so fascinating. From the very beginning, this lady has been allowed to grow naturally. No topping. No high-stress training. No aggressive manipulation. Just a little leaf tucking here and there whenever a fan leaf shaded a future bud site, allowing her to express exactly what her genetics wanted to become. Sometimes growers feel the need to shape every branch. Sometimes the best decision is simply to step back and let nature do what it does best. This Black Diamond is becoming the perfect example of that philosophy. 🌱 The 12/12 From Seed Adventure For anyone discovering this diary for the first time, welcome! Every plant in this project has been grown under a 12 hours on / 12 hours off light schedule from the very first day of life. There is no traditional vegetative stage. The goal is to observe how each genetic behaves when every environmental variable remains identical while allowing the plants to reveal their natural structure without extending their vegetative growth. It's an incredibly rewarding way to compare phenotypes because each plant develops its own personality without artificial intervention. And Black Diamond Pheno A has certainly developed one. 💎 A Natural Beauty Becoming a Giant Last week she impressed me. This week she surprised me. Standing at 169 cm, she has continued stretching while maintaining one of the cleanest structures in the entire room. Long branches. Excellent spacing. Beautiful symmetry. Every branch seems to know exactly where it wants to grow, naturally reaching for the light without fighting for space. The central cola has become a true focal point, but what impresses me even more is how evenly the secondary branches are developing around it. The entire plant feels balanced. Confident. Purposeful. Sometimes you look at a plant and immediately know she's going to become something special. That's exactly the feeling I get every time I open the tent. 🌸 Flower Production Is Moving Fast This is where things are becoming really exciting. Bud formation has accelerated dramatically over the past week. Every flowering site is stacking beautifully, with fresh white pistils covering nearly every inch of the future colas. What's particularly impressive is how far ahead she appears compared to her actual age. If someone showed me these flowers without any context, I'd probably guess she was at least another week or two further into bloom. The flowers already have real presence. The main cola is thickening. The side branches are filling in rapidly. And everywhere I look, I see healthy calyx development preparing for the bulking phase that's just around the corner. She's definitely one of the most advanced plants in the room. ❄️ Frost Arriving Earlier Than Expected Another pleasant surprise this week has been the resin production. Even this early into flowering, the sugar leaves are already beginning to sparkle. Tiny trichomes are appearing across the developing flowers, creating that first shimmering layer every grower loves seeing. It's still early. There's a very long way to go before harvest. But she's already hinting at the frosty future she's preparing. If this pace continues... She could become one of the frostiest ladies of the entire project. 🍃 Letting the Plant Do What She Does Best One thing that hasn't changed throughout this grow is my approach. No topping. No high-stress training. No unnecessary defoliation. No complicated techniques. Only occasional leaf tucking whenever a large fan leaf blocks light from reaching a developing flower site. That's it. Everything else has been entirely natural. Watching her develop like this is a wonderful reminder that healthy genetics often know exactly what they want to do when given the right environment. Sometimes the grower's biggest job... ...is knowing when not to interfere. 💧 Feeding the Next Stage of Bloom As flowering accelerates, the feeding program continues supporting the increasing nutritional demands. This week's recipe includes: • Plagron Terra Bloom — 2 ml/L • Plagron Power Buds — 1 ml/L • Plagron Sugar Royal — 1 ml/L • Plagron Pure Zym — 1 ml/L • Plagron Green Sensation — 1 ml/L • pH adjustment using Plagron pH Plus and Lemon Kick The EC has now increased to 1.95, giving the plant everything she needs as flower production continues ramping up. The response has been outstanding. Healthy leaves. Excellent colour. Strong growth. Zero signs of stress. Exactly what every grower hopes to see. 💡 Welcoming Lumiflora Under-Canopy Lighting This week also marks another exciting addition to the project. I've introduced Lumiflora under-canopy lighting. Most LED fixtures do an excellent job illuminating the top of the canopy. The challenge comes later in flower, when dense foliage naturally shades the lower branches. That's exactly where under-canopy lighting becomes interesting. Rather than replacing the main light, Lumiflora simply adds additional usable light underneath the canopy, helping areas that would normally receive far less illumination. What am I hoping to see? • Better development of lower flowers. • More even bud density throughout the plant. • Improved light penetration into the middle of the canopy. • More efficient use of every flowering site. What am I not expecting? Miracles. Under-canopy lighting won't compensate for poor genetics. It won't replace good environmental control. It won't fix nutrient problems. It's simply another tool that, when combined with healthy plants and a stable environment, has the potential to improve overall flower quality from top to bottom. I'm genuinely excited to see what difference it makes during the coming weeks. 🌡️ Environmental Conditions The environment remains stable, allowing the plants to focus entirely on flower production. Current conditions: • Week 7 Flower • Height: 169 cm • Light schedule: 12/12 • Day temperature: 29°C • Night temperature: 25°C • Relative humidity: 60% • pH: 5.8 • EC: 1.95 mS/cm • Root zone temperature: 21°C • Nutrient solution temperature: 21°C • CO₂ concentration: 639 ppm Consistency remains one of the biggest contributors to healthy, stress-free growth. 📸 This Week's Gallery This week's photographs tell an incredible story. The full-plant images reveal a tall, elegant phenotype confidently rising above much of the surrounding canopy, while maintaining exceptional balance from top to bottom. The close-ups show flower sites rapidly stacking along nearly every branch, already carrying impressive numbers of bright white pistils. One thing that immediately catches my eye is the amount of visible frost beginning to appear on the sugar leaves. It's subtle. But it's definitely there. The main cola is quickly becoming a beautiful spear, while the secondary branches are following closely behind. This plant photographs beautifully because she's simply growing beautifully. 🔮 Looking Ahead The coming weeks should become some of the most exciting of the entire grow. Stretch should gradually slow as more energy is redirected toward building dense flowers. The calyxes will begin swelling. The flowers should continue stacking into longer, thicker colas. Resin production will accelerate. And I'll be watching the impact of the Lumiflora under-canopy lighting with great interest to see how the lower flowers develop compared to previous runs. If she continues performing like this... This Black Diamond may become one of the true stars of the entire 8×8 Adventure. And honestly... She's giving me every reason to believe she will. 💚 Thank You Thank you so much for following another chapter of this journey. Growing is always a balance between knowledge, patience, observation and trust. Sometimes the best thing we can do is simply create the right conditions... ...and allow the genetics to tell their own story. A huge thank you to: 💚 GrowDiaries for giving growers around the world a place to learn, share and inspire one another. 🌱 Zamnesia for providing the incredible Black Diamond genetics that make this phenotype hunt possible. 💜 Plagron for supplying the nutrition that continues supporting these ladies from seed to harvest. 💡 Future of Grow LED for providing the consistent light driving this entire project. 🌿 Lumiflora for joining the adventure with innovative under-canopy lighting, and for helping explore another way of improving canopy efficiency. 🌡️ TrolMaster for maintaining the stable environment that allows every phenotype to express its full potential. And finally... Thank you to everyone following these diaries, leaving comments, asking questions and sharing your own growing experiences. Every week these plants become a little more impressive. This Black Diamond... ...is becoming impossible to ignore. Growers Love. 💚🌱

16.2.25: I decided to check out the lower canopies of all plants to see if I need to get rid of any foliage. I did get rid of a few small branches and leaves. However, whilst I was doing this, I saw more garden pegs from my LST remaining. There were about 6 or more in Pink Mist alone. Additionally, on Watermelon, there were some left in, too. I'm so annoyed to see that because the plants are really stretching, and I could've potentially disrupted this by leaving the pegs in for all this time without realising it. 🤞 that I haven't compromised things too much. We'll see. I watered today with 2ltrs of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.3 containing the following nutrients; ♡ .8g Green Leaf Nutrients PK booster ♡ .5g Ecothrive Biosys I ordered quite a few things for the garden. I got Greenleaf Nutrients Sea K(elp) and Mega Crop Parts A+B. To go with their PK Booster I got last month. I'm excited to try it all together. Next run, maybe just using these. We'll see how it goes. 18.2.25: The plants are going crazy for water! Everything is getting used right up so fast! Today, I decided to add some more Black Strap Molasses to add some carbs and other micronutrients. I'll add the jar with the label in the photos section above. I watered a very small amount to each plant. What I put in: ♡ Black strap molasses 150g ♡ 2g Sea K(elp) Greenleaf nutrients. I dissolved everything in 4ltrs of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4. 19.2.25: I received the majority of the garden purchases that I made. I'm still waiting for the Ecothrive Life Cycle. I wanted to top dress, but it's been delayed unfortunately. I am using my Greenleaf nutrients products which I bought on Amazon. I got the Mega Crop 2 part system Part A and Part B. I have the Sea K(elp), and the bud explosion PK booster. I really wanted to get some of their sweet candy asking read many positive reviews. Unfortunately, for me, this is unavailable to buy currently. So that's a little disappointing. I needed to do a good watering so when my nutes were delivered today, I got excited 🤗 I watered 2ltrs of dechlorinated water per plant, PH'd to 6.4, containing the following nutrients: ♡ 1g Mega Crop Part A ♡ 1g Mega Crop Part B ♡ .5g Sea K(elp). The plants drank this up within a few hours. I'm going to try and hold off on watering in hopes that my Ecothrive Life Cycle will arrive so I can top dress and water it in then. 20.2.25: My Ecothrive Life Cycle arrived yesterday, and the plants are ready for their top dress and a good watering in. I have some Biobizz Light Mix, Canna Coco, and perlite. I'm going to use this as a base to mix my amendments in. I'm going to fill my 5 gallon bucket with about 4.5 gallons of my top dress mix. I will distribute this across 6, 4-5 gallon pots. Then I will water in well with Greenleaf nutrients Mega Crop Parts A+B and Sea K(elp). I've made a crude attempt to video mixing my top dress. Don't listen to the audio. lol, my YouTube didn't stop playing whilst I recorded this 😂 So anyway, I added the following amendments to the above base mix of 4.5 gallons; ♡ 3 TBSP Ecothrive Life Cycle ♡ 3 TBSP Vitalink Bat Guano ♡ 3 TBSP Ecothrive Charge ♡ 1 TBSP RHS Mycorrhizal Fungi granules ♡ 6 TBSP Ground Cinnamon.

I’m not 100% done collecting all the data. By the smell of it, this plant will be one of the dankest plants I’ve ever grown. More to come. Tuesday, September 5 I have the nugs in jars right now. Hopefully I didn’t let it dry too much. Right now the humidity is at around 52% but I think if I move the jar around a bit I can them to sweat a bit more.

The girls are stretching nicely and looking healthy as can be. I added the second trellis for extra support when the buds will be ripening in late flower. There’s already some early ice, on the fan leaves too, so that’s a good start! Some pheno’s seem a little quicker with creating flowers, but since these are f1 seeds it’s not so crazy that there’s some difference. It looks like I’ve got either 3 or 4 quite different pheno’s, which is exiting. I’ll do a big defolation on day 21 of 12/12 so you’ll see that in the next weekly update 👌🏻

🌸 WEEK 6 FLOWER — “Giants in Full Bloom” Hello beautiful people! Week 6 is here, and I’m honestly in awe — these girls have turned into monsters in the best possible way. The Permanent Marker genetics are showing their full character now, and it’s pure art to witness. Our Permanent Marker #1, the one who always aimed for the moon, is now proudly showing her colors — purple tones starting to dance along her sugar leaves, a sign that she’s entering her final transformation. Meanwhile, Pheno #2 keeps her deep, loyal greens, compact and elegant, building buds that are dense, heavy, and sparkling. The aroma this week is unreal — floral, rich, and much stronger than expected for this stage. You can already sense the terpene complexity these genetics carry. ⸻ 🌿 Conditions & Strength It’s been hot and humid lately, the kind of weather that tests every grower’s setup. Still, these two girls are standing proud — no signs of stress, no rot, no weakness. While some of their neighbors in the same room have shown small signs of bud rot, our Permanent Markers are holding their ground like true champions. • Room temp: peaks around 31°C • Humidity: ~60% • Soil temp: ~25°C • PPFD (PAR): • Pheno #2: 760–780 μmol/m²/s • Pheno #1: 1,000–1,100 μmol/m²/s provably more lol Both phenos continue thriving under the ThinkGrow and Future of Grow LEDs, the TrolMaster system keeping everything in check, and our Aptus Holland organic recipe delivering balanced, slow-release nutrition through the pellets and boosters. ⸻ 🌱 Quick Recap – From Seed to Giants From germination in the CannaKan, three seeds popped strong — and from the start, these two stood out. Through early veg, lush and compact growth, the transplant into Zamnesia 11L fabric pots, and now deep into flower — they’ve been consistent, strong, and stunning. Every week has been a new chapter in this living story. ⸻ 🏆 The Dognabis Cup – It’s Happening! The Dognabis Cup is officially alive and thriving! Boxes have arrived, seeds are popping, and the first diaries are already out there — go check them out! 🌍 Each grower brings their own light, style, and story to the Cup, and that’s what makes it special. Remember: the more detailed, the better your chances to shine. Share your notes, your challenges, your victories — this Cup is about learning, connecting, and celebrating together. To everyone participating — good luck, and thank you for being part of this dream. ⸻ 💚 Gratitude & Community As always, a massive thank you to Zamnesia Seeds, Ocogenectica Seeds, Aptus Holland, ThinkGrow, Future of Grow, Skunk Magazine, FOG, Grovebags, DaggaDNA, Popeyes Passion, Imperial Seeds and TrolMaster, as well as to everyone who follows, supports, and believes in the spirit of this Cup — from the growers to the dreamers, the lovers and even the haters (you’re part of the story too 😄). Together, we grow. 🌿 ⸻ 🌸 What’s Next From here on, we’re expecting more color, more aroma, and that beautiful trichome frost to start covering everything. The finish line is getting closer, and I couldn’t be more excited to see how both phenos express themselves in the coming weeks. ⸻ ✨ “To grow is to share, to bloom is to connect — and through every cup, seed, and story, we keep the garden alive.” **THE DOGNABIS CUP OFFICIALLY STARTED** ⏰ @everyone **The Dognabis Cup** is an independent, community-driven virtual competition designed to bring people together, celebrate and share the passion for cultivation. Week 02 Introduction This week has been a bit of a struggle. Had my first experience dealing with slime and brown algae. But I think adding enzymes and increasing the beneficial bacteria helped to fix the issue. Also experienced nutrient burn for the first time. My nutrient solution strength got as high as 671 PPMs. So backed it down to about 430 PPMs during the end-of-week reservoir change. Also cut Hydroguard (expired?), CaliMagic, and Superthrive from this grow. Now she's still stunted, but is starting to recover. Hopefully... [START OF WEEK 02] Day 01 - Monday - 08/10/20 - Total Days: 008 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Still looks a bit yellow. But getting larger! --- Solution strength was at 248 PPMs. --- Just topped off with a bit of distilled water --- PH went up to 6.1 so PH'd down to 5.8 --- Ran the top feed for a bit to wet the hydroton. - [2130]: She's looking even more yellow now. --- Even the new leaves are really yellow. --- Decided to add more base nutes. --- Added 4ml of Sensi A --- Added 4ml of Sensi B --- Now at about --- Solution Strength went up to 304 PPM. --- PH was at 6, --- Also raised the water level a bit more. --- I really hope it's a nutrient deficiency and not an over-watering issue. --- Please live! Day 02 - Tuesday - 08/11/20 - Total Days: 009 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Looking less droopy. But still yellow. --- Decided to do a reservoir change. --- 4.5gal of distilled water --- 8ml of Sensi Grow A --- 8ml of Sensi Grow B --- 8ml of Voodoo Juice --- 4ml of B-52 --- 4ml of CaliMagic --- 4ml of Hydroguard --- 4 drops of Superthrive --- PH'd down to 5.8 --- Solution strength: 302 PPM --- Since I didn't want to risk over-watering the rockwool, I did not to do a top feed, may do one tonight after the sleep cycle (lights are still set to go off at 10am and back on at 4pm). --- As I was doing a reservoir change, I noticed that the tubes and bucket were a bit slimy. Didn't really stink or anything. Is this normal? Maybe due to the Hydroguard and Voodoo Juice? --- I hope she gets better soon! - [2215]: Getting larger! But still yellow. --- Also can see a root growing through the net pot! Tiny little thing but it's there! Will have to start dropping water once more appear. --- After looking over a few DWC diaries using AN nutes, seems like my solution strength is still too low. Most around this stage average around 500 PPMs with about 4ml per gallon. --- Top fed for a minute to wet the top of the hydroton. --- Solution strength went down to 263 PPM. --- Added 8ml more of Sensi A --- Added 8ml more of Sensi B --- Now base nutes are at 16ml for 4.5 gal of water. --- PPMs went up to 411. --- Still lower than 500 PPMs, but that's okay. --- PH was at 6. Not sure if I should adjust PH using AN nutes. So going to not ajdust unless PH goes above 6.1. Day 03 - Wednesday - 08/12/20 - Total Days: 010 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Looks like more root growth! --- She still looks yellow. But leaves are perky. --- PH was at 6.2 so lowered down to 5.8. --- Solution strength was at 394 PPMs --- Since roots are still growing, I decide to lower the water level a bit. Now water level is a bit below the net pot. - [2200]: Root is getting longer! --- Slime is returning. Not sure why. --- Solution strength: 357 PPMs --- PH: 6.1 --- Decided to add an enzyme along with more beneficial bacteria to hopefully cure the slime. --- Added 16ml of Sensizym --- Added 5ml of Hydroguard --- Added 8ml of Voodoo Juice --- New solution strength: 430 PPMs --- New PH: 6.1 --- Top fed for a minute. --- This slimy residue is really freaking me out! I hope the added enzymes will help eliminate the slime. --- Going to do a full reservoir sterilization/nutrient change over the weekend. Please survive until then girl! Day 04 - Thursday - 08/13/20 - Total Days: 011 ----------------------------------- - [0930]: I think the enzymes worked! There is little to no slime now! --- Although I think the root was also dissolved in the process. It's now just a little stub sticking just below the net pot. The enzyme is also suppose to dissolved dead roots too but guess that root was too weak? Not sure what happened there. But I think the slime is cured! --- Solution strength went down to 395 PPMs. Decided to add more base nutrients. --- Added 8ml of Sensi A --- Added 8ml of Sensi B --- Added 4ml of B-52 --- Solution strength went up to 598 PPMs. --- PH was at 6.1 --- As long as the PH is between 5.5 and 6.3, I'm not going to use PH Up or Down. But still will monitor PH levels. - [1715]: Checked up on her after her nap and shes looking alive but stunted. But no slime! --- Decided to add some sugars to help maintain the enzymes and beneficial bacteria. --- Solution strength was at 587 PPMs. --- PH was at 6.2 --- Added 8ml of Bud Candy --- Solution strength went up to 671 PPMs. --- PH also went up to 6.3 --- Lowered water level a bit to hopefully promote more root growth. --- Top fed for a minute. --- She is getting bigger, but still looks yellow. Day 05 - Friday - 08/14/20 - Total Days: 012 ----------------------------------- - [0915]: Leaves look a little burnt on the tips. Still no slime. --- Going to back off on the PPMs to hopefully fix the nutrient toxicity. --- Solution strength was at 632 PPMs --- PH was at 6.3 --- Added/Removed water until PPMs were at 536. --- PH was still at 6.3 --- Raised water up a bit, then top fed for a minute. - [2200]: Looking better. Still yellow though. --- Solution strength: 514 PPMs --- PH: 6.5 --- Added PH down. --- New solution strength: 518 PPMs --- New PH: 5.2 --- PH was kind of high. So decided to PH down. Had to use quite a bit to bring it down. But eventually got it to drop down to 5.3. A little low, but so far, the PH has always gone up so wanted to start it really low. --- Ran the top feed for a minute to re-saturate the top of the hydroton. Day 06 - Saturday - 08/15/20 - Total Days: 013 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: She looks stunted. leaves are still yellow. --- Solution strength: 514 PPMs --- PH: 5.6 --- Top fed for a minute. --- Not sure what to do at this point. Going to do another reservoir change soon. Hoping she lives until then. - [2145]: Looking pretty much the same. --- A bit of slime has returned. Since I've been diluting the nutrient solution, the enzyme ratio has dropped. So I guess this is expected. --- Also noticed that slime build up was on the air-stones. Never really checked the stones so not sure how long that has been there. Looks brown too, which can't be good. --- Going to do an H202 sterilization of the system (minus the net pot) tomorrow so did not add anything. --- Lowered the water level to below the net pot. --- Then top fed for a minute. Day 07 - Sunday - 08/16/20 - Total Days: 014 ----------------------------------- - [0900]: STERILIZATION DAY! --- Decided to skip today's night cycle for a deep clean. --- I'm hoping that skipping a night cycle won't be too stressful. --- Temporarily moved her to a new bucket. --- Used about a half of gallon of straight distilled water to flush out the net pot. --- Drained the system and wiped up all the brown sludge. Also removed the air stones and cleaned up all the goo. --- Filled the system with 2 gallons of distilled water and at least 30ml of food grade hydrogen peroxide (35% strength). --- Yea its a lot, but since I'm not going to sterilize the system overnight, I went with a really high doseage. Basically I kept adding until I started to see little bubbles start to form. --- Then I ran the water pump. - [0915]: Boiled the air stones in tap water for about 10 min. Then reconnected them to the airlines. --- I let the air stones and hose soak in the sterilization solution for about 5 minutes so the peroxide can absorb into the stones. Then ran the air stone to help mix and agitate the solution. --- Occasionally, I'd repeat the process of turning the air pump off for a few minutes to let the stones soak. - [1000]: Covered the top two row of holes of the net pot with some aluminum tape. Hopefully this solves the light leaking in through the hydroton. - [1200]: Used an old toothbrush and scrubbed the pump clean. Then drained the system. --- Refilled with more distilled water and peroxide. Again added a lot. --- Ran system again to sterilize even more. - [1530]: Drained the system and refilled with distilled water to rinse. --- Ran the system for a few minutes, then drained and rinsed again. --- Did this a few more times over about an hour. - [1630]: Added 4 gallons of fresh distilled water. --- Added 15ml Sensi Grow A --- Added 15ml Sensi Grow B --- Added 12ml of B-52 --- Added 16ml of Voodoo Juice --- Added 16ml Sensizym --- Solution strength was at 430 PPMs --- PH was at 5.6 --- I was going to add Hydroguard, but I think the bottle is expired. Since 2017 or 2018!? I think Hydroguard is good for up to 2 years from the date on the bottle or 6 months after opening. So not going to use from now on. I wonder if this could have contributed to the slime build up. --- Also removed the CaliMagic and Superthrive too. Going to only use AN products to eliminate the chance of incompatible nutrients. --- Placed her back in the bucket and top fed for a minute. --- Here's hoping for the best. Going to let it ride until morning! Please feel better! [END OF WEEK 02]
