Eternity Grow Cup - Week 11 VEG Report This is a pivotal week in our Eternity Grow Cup journey as we wrap up VEG and prepare to transition into FLOWER. Our goal has been to ensure that the plants are thriving and optimized for the next phase. This report will detail everything that took place during this crucial week. Mass Defoliation & Structural Training We began the week with an extensive defoliation session. Every leaf with a stem was removed to clear space for optimal light penetration and airflow. This process was done mostly by hand, clicking them off in the opposite direction of growth, while some stubborn ones were snipped with scissors. By the end, it felt like we had taken out nearly half a kilo of leaves! The room now looks clean, structured, and ready to fill out the ScroggNet. To further enhance the plant structure, branches were attached to the pots, allowing for better horizontal growth. This technique helps maximize canopy exposure and prepares the plants for even light distribution once flowering begins. Defoliation before flowering is a key step as it reduces overcrowding, improves airflow, and sets the plants up for efficient energy use in the next phase. Light Schedule & Adjustments This week, we introduced a subtle but effective light adjustment. While still maintaining an 18-hour light cycle, we initiated a 15-minute delay with the whites, allowing the reds to start first. This gradual shift signals the plants that a change is coming. Similarly, at the end of the light cycle, the whites turn off 15 minutes earlier, leaving the reds on for an extended period. This strategy mimics natural sunrise and sunset, helping the plants transition more smoothly into flowering. Additionally, at the end of the week, we will be implementing 48 hours of darkness before the official flip to flower. This method has worked exceptionally well in past grows, helping plants recognize the transition and encouraging a strong start to flowering. However, it's important to emphasize that this is a personal technique and not a universal rule. Every grower should experiment with different methods to find what works best for their specific environment. Environmental Conditions & Challenges Currently, our temperature is at 27°C with 60% humidity, resulting in a VPD of 1.50. While slightly higher than the ideal for VEG, our CO2 levels are over 1000 ppm, and the light intensity is at 570 PPFD, making it a manageable balance. The solution pH is 5.79 (essentially 5.8), EC is 1.38, and water temperature is 17.7°C. One challenge we are facing is maintaining optimal reservoir temperatures. Currently, it's a bit low at 17.7°C, and we are exploring solutions to raise it slightly. However, the medium temperature sits at 22.2°C, which is a good range. The humidifier is still in use, though it struggles to increase humidity further, so we are working with what we have to keep the VPD in check. ICL-300s Integration The ICL-300 lights are now fully active. Unlike the last grow, where we introduced them later, this time they are on from the start of flowering prep. This adjustment is an experiment to see if the plants respond better to an early introduction. Learning is at the core of this journey, and each grow offers new insights. Whether this proves to be the optimal strategy or not, it will be a valuable lesson for future grows. These are the seeds from my auto breeding project earlier this year. That diary link can be found here: https://growdiaries.com/diaries/129779-grow-journal-by-m0use Germinated by scarification of the seed with an emery board then soaking in water for 12hrs, I added in the step of paper towel for another 12hrs then planted outside with Dynomyco in the hole. Watered in with some LABS "Lactic Acid Bacteria Serum [Lactobacillus]" and Transplanter MS-CS RootRescue. They all popped up within a few days after planting outside. They are in a heavy soil and should not need much love outside of a fertilization every month. I ran out of mesh to protect them so bamboo spikes will keep the birds at bay... hopefully. I also have a twin setup of these seeds but in a bucket fortified with acti-sol, they will be running side by side for comparison.

The plant was finally Ready to harvest. Buds were more on the leafy side, but no foxtailing, so wet trimming was pretty easy… It will dry now for a week and then cure… I will come back with final results… :))

This is my first grow and it’s all organic as well 👌🏽.I didn’t experience any deficiencies and besides the fact that they are pretty small I have to say I’m pleased. We will see what my total harvest will be I’m guessing around a quarter pound 4 ounces maybe little less 🤷‍♂️🏽

09/12/2018 Purple tip cutting seems to be taking .#1 is filling out well lots of fresh flowers stacking up nicely.#2,#3,#4 all doing well👍hope they finish up in 4weeks🙏 No feeding this week just molasses for soil microbes, 09/17/2019 Did some defoiliating and green tie 's to spread out lower branches on #1 . she is a beast. Seeing, some differences between #2,#3,#4 .#4 being darker green, #3 is paler green #2 not as pale, #1 lighter green but not pale at all. Given deep soaking today, and I noticed phase 3 flowering is starting!🙏 should start stacking them fat buds for next couple of weeks hope she done at 10 weeks fingers crossed.

For my first experience using salt type nutrient, everything seems to be going well. No deficiencies and no signs of stress. Mixing is super easy and everything dissolves 100%. My lights were gradually raised by 5-10% every day until 100%. Beginning the week PPFD was almost 1000, now it is almost 1500 PPFD. To supplement all of the light these plants will get, high doses of CO2 are given during daylight hours. The room stays at 1500ppm at a minimum. By weeks end everything under the net will be stripped and the canopy thinned of all large fan leaves. One big stressful event, so the rest of flower the plants can be left alone to bloom. It’s best to do it once IMO. I believe things are right on track. Calyxes are already starting to form on all of the plants and things will only get better from here. Buenas tardes familia , de vuelta actualizamos una semana más estás crazy cookies, es una variedad bastante sativa con cogollos bastante grandes, no creo que les quede muchas semanas pero una de ellas partió por el peso y tuve que poner más tutores. Seguimos controlando el ph, la humedad y la temperatura están bien. Tallo medio, pero es una genética bastante frondosa y con muchos brazos laterales. Tienen un aroma muy peculiar, estoy deseando que estén listas para ver los resultados finales pero, son de floración bastante lenta, un saludo nos vemos la semana que viene fumetillas.

Harvest in two parts to fatten up the lower buds for a week or two. Likely, another good ounce to two of sweet buds. Didn't quite lollipop, previously, but understand the benefits of the technique, especially if seeking a more standardized harvest in one chop. Looking forward to the cure and terp retention/development.
