Hi all the happy people here in GrowDiaries. This is my second cultivation ever and it will be fun to try a bigger space than my closet grows First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom. I put some pictures on the construction here in week one. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of 3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable theme in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. The air is purified through a carbon filter to then leave the room to the rest of the basement. Then I use that heat to heat the rest of the basement. I will use 8 pcs 15 liter Autopots to grow with and a 100 liter water tank that supplies the pots of water and nutrition. I will grow completely organically in soil and will watercure my buds to get the best possible medicine for me. But there are no cultivation rooms to be displayed here, so I continue with what is most important. Today I have put my seeds in my moisture dome and hope the seeds have germinated within a few days. I am very excited to see how the new growroom will work and how this CBD Fast Eddy plant from Royal queen seeds will turn out. CBD Fast Eddy Automatic is combining Cheese x Juanita la Lagrimosa x Ruderalis, Fast Eddy is a rapid growing, flavourful, and CBD-rich auto strain that goes from seed to harvest in 8-9 weeks, produce generous yields, and induce a clear, mellow, and most importantly, functional high. THC: 9% CBD: High Yield Indoor : 400 - 450 gr/m2 Yield Outdoor: 80 - 130 gr/plant Height Indoor: 60 - 100 cm Height Outdoor: 80 - 120 cm Flowering: 6 - 7 weeks Harvest month: 8-9 weeks after sprouting Genetic Background: Cheese x Juanita la Lagrimosa x Ruderalis Type: Sa 50% In 40% Ru 10% Effect: Clear, Painrelief Climate: Mild .............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................. Update 2017-08-15. Both seeds have germinated and planted in small pots inside the humidity dome. I'm so glad it worked so well and now it's just hoping they'll start growing and become 2 big healthy girls :) ............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Update 2017-08-16. I have mixed my own soil today. Its 40% sieved peat harrow H2-H4 0-30 mm, 45% sieved peat harrow H4-H6 0-30 mm. 5% sand and 10% of compost soil. And i use 15% of perlite and mix it all together. ............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Update 2017-08-20. These girls are much slower to germinate and to start growing than the other 6 girls I started at the same time. One of the germinated seeds split in half, so I had to take a new seed and germinate it. It took 2 days. It was just a smal taproots after germination with this strain as opposed to my Fastbuds cbd. But I hope everything goes well from now and that they live up to their name, Fast Eddy. ................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ Update 2017-08-21. New pics. ................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ 2017-08-22. Nr1 dident make it and died. Started germinate a new seed to get another Nr1. .............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................. 2017-08-27. Nr 1 is in a small pot in humidity dome and i hope shes going to break the surface soon. Nr 2 is slow but doing fine. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2017-08-28. Nr2 is transplanted in 15 liter autopot. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2017-08-29. New movie of the girls Nr2. Its no water for 3 days now so the roots develop more and match the plant above the soil. The temp controlled fan is awesome, its easy to set what temp you like to have in the room. Right now its 28 celcius. And humidity is 56%. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2017-08-29. Hello to you who read my diary, I just want to say that I am pleased that you have chosen to check in with me and in my diary. I just want to say that I do this for myself and for a steady flow of my medicine. Everything you read and see in my diary is 100% honest and I will never distort or beautify anything here. I document my crops so that I can learn from my mistakes and also to look back at those different crops. I try to update with pictures every day and with text if something special has happened in the garden. This is my strainhunt for the best medicine and the beginning of my journey with cannabis and the cultivation of it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2017-08-30. Cleaned the room this morning, just vacuuming and cleaning with chlorine solution. Im testing the fan to control temp and humidity, it works great. Added a movie. Everything is looking great right now. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2017-08-31. 3 New pics. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2017-09-01. New pics and a video of the grow room from today.

Week 5 Veg Report: SCROG Netting, Massive Leafs & Precise Data Mastery! đŸŒ± Girls Growing Stronger Than Ever! đŸŒ± This week has been truly epic in the grow room—so much so that it’s time to bring in the SCROG net! With the canopy expanding and the younger ones still working to catch up, the SCROG net will help me achieve that perfect, even canopy. A well-placed SCROG not only ensures better light penetration but also gives the smaller plants a chance to spread out and thrive alongside their bigger sisters. Now, let’s dive deep into the SCROG method. The Screen of Green (SCROG) technique is a grower’s secret weapon for maximizing space, light efficiency, and yields. The concept is simple but powerful—train the plants to grow horizontally along the net, forcing them to expose multiple budding sites instead of just a single cola. This way, the canopy spreads evenly, improving light distribution and air circulation throughout the tent. As the plants grow, I’ll gently weave their branches through the screen, ensuring they fill every square inch of space. The end goal? A sea of buds all basking in equal light! đŸ’Ș Huge Leafs Everywhere! 🌿 One thing that’s really catching my eye this week is the size of the leaves—they’re HUGE! Honestly, they’re so big I couldn’t resist a little fun, so I made myself some fashion accessories: leaf earrings and a cap from the Super Sativa Seed Club Green Papaya! 😂 And, of course, I captured the moment. But seriously, large leaves at this stage are a great sign of healthy, robust plants. These “solar panels” are hard at work soaking up all the light, driving photosynthesis, and fueling growth. So, what does it mean when your plants are showing off big, luscious leaves? It’s a clear indication that they’re happy, healthy, and thriving in their environment—big leaves mean lots of energy being produced and stored for future bud growth. Exactly what we want! 💧 Precision Feeding with Aptus Nutrients 💧 This week, I took a deep dive into my Aptus nutrient lineup and shared a video explaining how each product affects the water’s pH and TDS. Using the AMP-3 Precision Meter, I’m getting real-time water readings and keeping everything dialed in perfectly. Let’s break it down: ‱ pH: 5.83 ‱ TDS in solution: 445 ppm ‱ Water temperature: 25.2°C The Aptus products are incredible for balancing nutrients without throwing off the pH or TDS too much. I’m fine-tuning my feedings based on these readings to make sure the girls are getting exactly what they need. The precision I’m able to achieve with the AMP-3 is mind-blowing—I get immediate feedback on pH, temperature, and EC, allowing me to make real-time adjustments and ensure the perfect environment for nutrient uptake. 📊 Environmental Mastery Thanks to TrolMaster 📊 Speaking of control—let’s talk about the TrolMaster system! Between the DSH-2U Humidity Station and all the other sensors, I’ve created the perfect environment for my plants. Here’s where we’re at this week: ‱ Temperature: 26.2°C ‱ RH: 70.6% ‱ CO2 levels: 775 ppm ‱ VPD: 1.0 kPa ‱ PPFD: 423 Thanks to TrolMaster, I can monitor and adjust these metrics in real time, and the best part? I can do it all through the TM+ Pro app, even while I’m lounging in my green papaya leaf hat! 😆 Whether I’m checking the CO2 levels, adjusting the lights, or fine-tuning the humidity, it’s all in my hands with just a tap of my phone. Talk about convenience! đŸŒ± P.S. – Inline Sensors: Heavy-Duty Precision đŸŒ± Now, let’s talk about the heavy-duty players in this game—the (PCT-2) Heavy Duty Inline EC/Temp Sensor and the (PPH-2) Heavy Duty Inline pH Sensor. These bad boys are connected directly to the AMP-3 Precision Meter, and they’ve been absolutely crucial in giving me the most accurate readings on my water and nutrient solution. The PCT-2 keeps me informed about the electrical conductivity and temperature of my solution, which is key for monitoring how well my plants are absorbing nutrients. Too high or too low, and we’re asking for trouble, but this sensor ensures I’m always in that perfect range. The PPH-2, on the other hand, is all about maintaining the perfect pH balance. A fluctuating pH can mean nutrient lockout or deficiencies, but thanks to this sensor, I get a constant read on my pH levels, so the plants are always in their sweet spot for optimal nutrient absorption. Together, these inline sensors allow me to run a super-tight ship—every drop of water and nutrient is dialed in to perfection, keeping the plants happy and healthy! Shout Outs! As always, huge thanks to TrolMaster and ThinkGrow LED for the amazing gear, to Aptus Holland for their top-notch nutrients and Pro-Mix for the best soil i have used so far. Big love to the seed banks, the amazing Grow Diaries community, and all my followers—you guys make this journey so much more exciting. Day22: As said in Week3, I will not keep this perspective for the whole grow, as it doesn't really show the size of the plant. But it gives a nice view of how to top leaves grow :) The flashes that you see in the video is the humidifier. It pumps out vapour every hour for 15mins. So basically a quarter of each second of the video will be when the humidifier runs. Day23: I changed it, as I wanted to see the size as well. Day24 - Day28: Happy, healthy growth.

So there they are fully blowing my tent! I got 90cm on the tallest one and wasn't prepared at all to deal with such height! The light were just at the 40cm distance limit from the tallest one and she doesn't look like is going to stop growing so I had to reorganize my setup to fit the light at a higher position. Even though the lights are right there with the filter I guess there's not much light being lost. The thrips seemed to started to get everywhere and I could spot one of then (several actually) for the first time and they are nasty. I bath the whole plant with more conditioner for a couple of times and I couldn't spot any today but I'm gonna take a closer look tomorrow as today was about lsting all the side branches to fill the mesh as better as possible. I'm pretty happy with the amount of good potential bud sites. They are several and pretty strong too! I'm guessing that except for some defoliation along the way that's the final shape of the plants. There's plenty of light getting to all important buds and even the lower ones are getting some decent light too (thanks @MarsHydro). I hope they stop stretching and getting those flowers big and chubby soon! Cheers

Week 9 - Day 58 - 02/23 to 2/28 2021 All phone pictures. Go off site to my instagram for HD/DSLR content: https://www.instagram.com/glazedgrow/ Red Poison from @Sweet_Seeds makes my mouth water. A sweeter more candy tone overall compared to other earthy purples like the LSD-25 beside it. Great colour and cluster of bud sites on the main cola all fighting for light/chunk space so should end up with a nice amount of bag appeal/photo subjects nearing the end. Big thick white pistils with some starting to orange as it enters the 6th week of flower. Can't wait to see how the main nug looks. Gave all the plants mostly water feeds this week in order to avoid salt build up. Some staining on the bottom of the fabric pots from the bottom feeds so just making sure the soil is fine for the final major nute feeds before flushing in a week or so. Made some caps with homemade thc olive oil from a friend that sent me some "Intergalactic Cable" viewing materials as well 😎 Have to use them fast but been stable for a week and not just starting to come through the gel caps, will have to get something harder next time still a lot left in the bottle. It's closest to the window and i keep my tent open so when the light is off it's getting a solid 16-18 Celcius helping out the genetic purple pop a bit more in the leaves. Other than that, the new @MarsHydroLED TSL 2000 and @ViparSpectraLED PS1500 for veg definitely made a huge difference and the buds on the Dark Devil. Big thanks to @ViparspectraJennie for putting a new XS1000 in the mail to test on my next grow. So gettin abit angsty waiting for it to be finished and my new magnifying glass hasn't arrived so unable to clearly see tricomes :( Anyways have been flushing for a week at the moment and will do for another 1 or 3 😊 Flushed with flawless finish on first day, since then have been literally flushing water through untill the run off isn't so coloured & giving the plant a break every other day.

Doing really good. I've introduced some flower stacker, worm tea concentrate, hydro guard root inoculant and some calmag with iron. I also started place a layer of ice on top of the medium to trigger trichome and to get them beautiful colors. I've been doing the ice thing in my last couple of harvest and I swear that it increased the trichome coverage and I get some nice colors to pop. I usually go with organic soil amendment for nutrients. However I used a new to me soil called Biochar. It's like a bunch of small pieces of tree bark. It has simular characteristics like I have to water every day because this product dose not retain moisture at all. I did add a good layer about 1 gallon of Purple Cow Indicanja mixed 50/50 with Happy Frog soil. I loosened the first couple of inches in the container with my fingers and worked it into the soil and watered it in slowly. The addition of the new top layer of soil and nutrients have paid off well. I'm still about 3 weeks out from harvest and I can't wait to see how fat these flowers get. They're already the size of golf balls and I swear I can literally see them growing before my eyes, at least a 1/8 of a inch of girth a day. I have two more feedings to go before it's time to start the flushing process and with the addition of the ice I'm anticipating some lovely colors. Cheers!!!

Flush time for divine storm and mandarin dreams. These ladies are frosty and sticky AF! Just insane how sticky they are and the frost is like light snow, my camera just doesn't do it justice. The Mars-Hydro TSW2000 has blown me away over the course of this grow. It's definitely a high quality light and has delivered impressive results so far. Hello and welcome to Pete's run#6! Summer is long gone. For a grower like me, that means I can start relaxing just a tiny bit. No longer will extreme heat and humidity challenge a man's orientation in space-time, when inline fans become heating devices, or when an unnoticed 4L spill of dehumidifier water magically implements a VPD protocol that existed only in my mind. You heard me right. run#5 is proof that accidents don't have it in for you. They are not even ACKNOWLEDGING you, as they sometimes carry out your deeds. With these high scientific standards established for run#6, I present to you the inhabitants, the only 3 specimens presently exploring our universe while being enveloped by Pete's protocols & tent. Wish them well, they did not get a say in this: FastBuds | F4 | Pineapple OG Auto FastBuds | F1 | Mango Frost Auto FastBuds | F6 | Gorilla Cookies Auto --- For my first runs, I chose FastBuds and stuck with them. Whatever happened during run#1, I got an extremely satisfying and undeserved result of 2 different Gorilla Cookies in fairly great quality, + a pink Strawberry Gorilla, whos terpenes sadly evaporated during late flowering. This experience was a hallmark moment for me. For the first time I could compare low quality cannabis (that always made me tired) with a quirky but vibrant home grow result, realized under intense financial pressure. The product's characteristics in comparison were so striking that I could not stop learning about what made that happen. This was not just a great "cannabis experience". It was here where it really dawned on me that cannabis was not a uniform substance at all. It could be modulated, components could be understood, made and preserved to achieve specific, wildly different properties. The pharmaceutical complex described it completely wrong, but provided products sometimes with pure THC even. Doctors were trying to combat a substance whose properties were derived from the worst documented use cases - practically inventing their own fictional profile and then recommending against it. The question to be answered was not simply: Should I use cannabis or not? The question now became: What can I make cannabis do, and who are the people that really know best? --- Naturally, I was extremely hesitant to try another breeder. So when I did - with Mephisto and later Dutch Passion, where footage of big, thriving plants was a bit harder to find - I grew completely convinced that quality is abundant within the reputable breeder scene. As a matter of fact, Mephisto strains ended up growing larger in comparison even during run#3, when I learned what really happens to roots with extreme gypsum formation in my medium. Dutch Passion's Auto Cinderella Jack ranked #1 in yield for me in run#5 with her first try, after Mephisto's 505 Headbanger and FastBuds Sour Jealousy both tied for #1 after run#4. run#6 is a great test case for my ongoing protocols and my planned adjustment during the cycle, like giving my nutrient composition the next iteration & polish after discovering some really shaky N & K curves. Cookies gets her fourth go in my tent, so she reads familiar to me and also serves as a control. --- Oh yeah, the PLANTS! Pineapple OG and Mango Frost click into my sativa preference with a hybrid twist, while Gorilla Cookies is pretty much coming back home. Mango skipped the queue when I forgot she was an F1, so fingers crossed her standout heritage that qualified her for me expresses well. Pineapple reads as a promising daytime profile with a chase terp expression I just have to witness. Preservation of metabolites during flowering and beyond is my #1 goal, besides obviously growing big and healthy cultivars that have the biological backbone for complete metabolite expression. Watch me make mistakes, watch the plants forgive me, enjoy the chaos that stirs up when I am pitted against the laws of nature. - Pete
