This week was full of new growth! I switched the ladies to their bloom nutrients for the first time and they seem to love them. The budlets are getting bigger every day and the ladies are looking beautiful! I hope everyone has a Happy New Year! Be Safe and stay green! 🤙🏾
White Runtz has been the biggest plant out of all the SOG plants this run. It has large leaves and a large body to go with
All of the plants have really taken off. Usually I have a couple plants that are much smaller but all of these plants are getting huge. Seeing I got a new eluefah uap1
500 the other day and I have my 2 fastbuds plants under that now I have my spider farmer light free. So I popped up another 2x2 and moved 3 of the 10 plants into the 2x2 and left the 7 other in the 2x4.
Wow these plants took off and have not looked back! I am going to have to switch to flower in the next week or 2 or im afraid they will stretch further than my set up can handle 😆 🤣 😂 the gary payton x king louie og i ended up throwing in a 7 gallon plastic grow bag and she is getting MASSIVE the leaves on her are bigger than my hand same with the highway og #2. Used 6" metal plant anchors to anchor almost all them down to help with keeping them short and bushy ,using foop and organic inputs on the 707 headband
Flowering Week 22: Buds Emerge & the Great Durban Haircut
Update: 10.08.2025 | Day 156
Hey Growmies,
Week 22’s got both ladies playing different games – Durban’s diving into bloom while Blueberry’s still stretching like she forgot the season.
Durban Poison – Flowering Fireworks
She’s all business now – white pistils poppin’ everywhere and buds startin’ to stack. Weird thing? Still barely any smell. Got no clue what this girl’s gonna taste like come harvest. Today’s mission: Giving her the big haircut she needs. Gonna clear out that jungle undercarriage for airflow.
Blueberry – The Neverending Stretch
This babe’s still shooting up for the sky like a rocket. Almost hit 2.10m now, sproutin’ new shoots at every bud tip like she’s in permanent preflower mode. Almost no pistils visible and a very calm smell. But she's definittely the prettiest green skyscraper in the garden.
Wrap up:
- Weather’s playing nice – sunshine and breeze mean zero mold nightmares (for now).
- Not a single pest in sight – leaves cleaner than my Sunday shoes.
- Bokashi juice twice a week keeps ’em glowing. Few yellow fan leaves? Nothin’ to sweat.
Next Moves
- Keep Bokashi rhythm steady – they’re lovin’ that funky juice.
- Hope for Blueberry’s bud forming soon (will she hit 2.20m?). Clock is ticking.
- Enjoy Durban’s bud show while waitin’ for Blueberry’s grand entrance.
Grower love to y’all – catch ya next week!
– Smoking_Joe_Frazier
Started the week out with a mini flush and nutrient change. Plants are looking healthy and seem to be slowing down on the stretch and beginning to form some beautiful bud sights. I defoliated the main plants in the beginning of the week for the last time and will let them finish out their grow without anymore haircuts lol. The BW clones both have stretched pretty tall so far for being a clone going straight to 12/12. The CW clone is doing well and filling out already. So far so good on the grow.
I backed my light up a little and let my nutes sit for longer this time. She’s improving. Think I’ll up my ph on the next watering.
Trichs are starting to come in
I added a dish of water to up humidity. Don’t know if it’s helping.
One of the pics has a blemish. It’s from me, not spotting from deficiency. She’s looking yellow and skinny. Stems got really dark
Pretty plant. Fairly happy plant (finally). Smells lovely. But still no sign of flowers. I really do think she's just not going to amount to anything here... I'm giving her one more week... and then I might pop another seed instead.
Changed up the reporting on this - rather than ppm, I'm now reporting EC... but to keep record, the ppm is 436
10/20 - She's really starting to go now.. drinking a lot of water, going through the nutes... not giving me the "normal" signs of being in flower but... I'm starting to worry I'm not going to have the headroom for her in my tent! Going to have to do some crazy stuff with the lights soon. Trying to LST her enough so that's not a worry but she refuses to grow "out" - she insists on growing "up"! Can't imagine what she would have been had I not screwed her up so badly at the beginning... but no, I'm not going to give up on her... she WILL be fine!
10/21 - She's going crazy now.. I do believe she's in flower and she's drinking up a storm. Cleaned out the reservoir and added new nutes for her today. EC now stands at 1.0 and I hope to get her up to the max of 1.2 in a few days... Also raised the pH to 6.2 and I'm very happy with that as well... My cat has also given her stamp of approval - she's now demanding to take her naps in the tent... smells just delicious in there!
10/22 - Damn, I'm proud of this lady - for standing up to me, for telling me "hit me with your best shot" .. she took every mistake I made and turned it around... she was NOT going to be denied! Need to get in and get more defoliation going...
10/23 - She's going to give me a harvest... that's really all I care about, especially since I had no hope of it at the beginning! It won't be a massive harvest and that's ok.. I'll be exceedingly happy with whatever she has to offer... and who know, I might be surprised! But the harvest won't hold a candle to what I'm going to get from #2... I still love them both the same...

My ph test got spilled and ran into issues on the big girl. Got it fixed and back in action. Added mammoth p and orca. Also added pinch brown sugar. Going to use the greenhouse half for dry and other half as a lung tent. Have new plans for 8 plants monster aero going. Going to have a large single reservoir and a water cooler. Super excited, going to run some exotic strains. A bunch from sweet seeds 🤙🏻
Bloom week 1:
I don’t really have too many pictures of this plant in veg. I didn’t plan to bloom her, but after some training she just looked pretty good. This plant is huge compared to my other 2. She’s about 6 months old.
I’ve only fed this plant about 3 times. I fed her yesterday for the first time in probably about 2 months. The plant looks good considering I’ve give her such little love. Hopefully with regular feeding she will blow up… but not too big for my tent I hope.
8/30 Rained yesterday and pretty much all night. Plants looked happy this morning. I'm thinking about feeding today or tomorrow. The late flowering special kush doesn't have much longer and it will be done. I'm going to need to do another treatment for the thrips. Nights are so cold that I think they aren't a major problem. No signs of septoria either. No signs of ANY molds or mildew. Even where I took the pillar out but I removed a lot. I am noticing (especially on the pink kush and the special kush in the back) the wierd "top hat" lower buds like I previously did. I don't think it's the chipmunk. It's like they eat fresh buds and leave the top there. I think it might be earwigs but I haven't seen ANY. Birds have been keeping my garden pretty clean. Almost everytime I walk down there it's like a flock of birds takes off lol. I was watching the little finches all perched on my cage. I've seen them dart in and grab a snack. It's pretty cool how it works. Symbiotic relationship. I feed the birds amd they help keep my garden pest free.
EDIT: Went to check the girls around 430. It seems like everytime I see the flowers they've swelled in size. Especially the natural mk ultra. Everything is really coming together. Pink kush is behind but it's starting. I'm getting lots of fall colors but I'm losing lots of leaves too. I wouldn't have defoliated as good as I have if I hadn't had problems. I thought the plants were done getting taller or stretching but after this rain they ALL seem taller. The buds are swelling as well. I'm on the home stretch with the early special kush. Few more weeks. Everything looked amazing tonight. I wanted to take some pictures but I left my phone. Smell is greatly increasing.
8/31 I don't get how we got NO rain the ENTIRE summer but it's rained the past few nights? Maines bipolar weather I guess. I see the same shit as prior years. Something crawls up and eats small shoots and developing buds but leaves larger ones alone. I thought it was earwigs before. I'm not sure now. I'll have to go look at night and figure out what's eating shit. It's just small secondary shoots mostly. Stuff I should've pruned but I leave on so the won't eat my fucking colas. I got some work to do but I'm getting closer.
9/1 Well we made it to September. Pink kush is finally STARTING to form little buds. After some research (and watching those fucking locusts try to fly into my cage but can't because they are to fucking big. I was lucky I found that enormous one on the stalk of the furthest special kush right where the tip cola starts. Luckily I was able to get him. Didn't have to take pics or a video or even check if they need water. It rained a little last night and the buds were a little wet. I'm planning to feed when I get back. If they need water I'll give it to them. My early special kush is getting real close. I want to harvest at peak timing but sometimes exigent circumstances screw that up. However i think I'll be able to let this girl finish properly.
EDIT: Went back over to check weights and everything was super heavy. Plants are all turning fall colors. I checked the trichs on my special kush, mk ultra and 10th planet. Everything looked great in the sun! Everything is swelling and getting frostier everyday. I'm hoping that the pink kushs will finish. My early special kush LOOKS like it should be done but it's not. Looking at the trichs and stigmas it needs more time. I've found on several plants that between the; giant caterpillars, earwigs and pillars that they can take a whole branch and pretty much decimate it in a night. I chased one of those giant locusts around my Cafe and it finally got out. Bastard was almost the size of a small bird! I should feed tonight and possibly do a treatment for pests.
9/2 Had to shake to plants off again. Bags are still heavy. I'll probably feed tonight. I'm noticing tons of damage on lower and interior branches. The grasshoppers or locusts or whatever they are can strip a whole branch! They can even bite through little stems. I'll never grow outside without floating row covers again. The special kush is getting really close. Sometime this week I'll look for a mature tester bud. Both MK ULTRAS are exploding in flower and getting frostier daily.
